The house has amazing ocean views and the sound of the waves was a beautiful background to our stay. A few steps from the beach, we had a wonderful time.

Elsie was a phenomenal host, she was readily available to answer all my questions and was very informative and helpful. She was also very knowledgeable about the area and was very accommodating with my requests. She frequently checked up on us as well. The place is beautiful and has the most stunning views. The home is very warm and welcoming. The view of the ocean and the sound of the waves made it so tranquil and serene. It truly is a gem of a place. We made so many beautiful memories that we will treasure for a lifetime.

What can I say except WOW! Started off the day watching the sun rise over the ocean while enjoys a wonderful cup of tea on the two chairs dedicated to Nono and Maxime. We could then walk down to Thompson Bay beach directly from the garden. When a day in the waves was over, a short walk up the steps to the outdoor shower by the pool for a quick dip then a quick braai on the amazing stainless steel braai by the pool. To end it all, going to sleep with the doors open listening to the waves crashing all night! And in the morning, Elizabeth was there to sort out our messy dishes and Russel washed off all the kids beach toys…. I can’t recommend the place enough and hope to be back next year. Douglas our host is fabulous, always a message away alongside Thulani our caretaker who lives on site while maintaining privacy for us guests. The facilities are more than perfect for us three adults and we slept like babies. Book the house and you will be blown away. Thank you for having us, we will come back again.

Thank you Chad for a great stay ! The location of your home is perfect and the views from the house overlooking the sea and lagoon are spectacular. It was very peaceful sitting on the deck watching the sunsets. The kitchen was well equipped but lacking a dishwasher. Overall a great experience !

A comfortable family home that is pet friendly, in a good location, close to a lot of amenities. Walking distance to nice swimming beaches. The outdoor room shower was well used and housekeeper was very good.

Janine was very helpful, reaching out before our arrival and asking if we needed anything. She was timely in addressing requests we had, and accommodating additional asks we sent her way. The place is as presented, and a wonderful neighborhood with everything you need a short distance away. Will definitely be back if in Balito again

Paola's nest was incredible! We did a last minute booking and she instantly confirmed. When we got there we felt like we didn't want to leave as it was only for a night. The space was clean, quiet, with a beautiful view and close to the restaurants, beach walks and nature reserve. Loved the bathtub!

Stacey's place is airy and quite pleasant, with the wide-open view of the ocean! The kitchen was also particularly well equipped, both in terms of hard equipment and usable items (paper towels, coffee and washing soap). The braai stand was also special - allowed us to enjoy a good braai facing the ocean!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beachfront property! The location is unbeatable — right on the beach with breathtaking views of the ocean from sunrise to sunset. Waking up to the sound of waves and enjoying our morning coffee on the balcony with that incredible view was pure bliss. The home was spotless and equipped with everything we needed and more — from a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making our stay not just easy but genuinely relaxing. Communication with the host was smooth and friendly, and check-in was a breeze. You can tell they truly care about the guest experience. We’ve stayed at quite a few Airbnb properties, and this one really stands out. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-appointed escape right on the water.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this incredible Airbnb and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by every bedroom’s stunning sea views, impeccable cleanliness with thoughtful touches like blackout shutters and fully equipped kitchen where we carb-loaded like champions. When I shared our comrades marathon story/journey with the host, she was very supportive of our initiative and shared a messages of support. Whether you're looking for a peaceful getaway or running the Comrades and need a serene, well equipped base camp, this place offers the perfect setting. I can't recommend it enough and can't wait to return!

Perfect location right on the beach in Ballito. Jessie's place had everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing stay at the beach. We even saw a pod of dolphins playing in the waves on the first day. Only wish we could've stayed longer.

Jean was a fantastic host—friendly and easy to communicate with and definitely went the extra mile for us. The unit was spotless, really comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The views were absolutely stunning, and the space was thoughtfully set up with nice little touches throughout. We enjoyed the small trail in the complex and loved being able to walk to Thompson’s Bay Beach. We’d definitely love to come back!

Overall, a wonderful stay!! A gorgeous oasis in Ballito, near the beach. Ample space for a family, I wish we had more time. Leanne ensured that clear instructions were provided on how to enter the property and checked on our arrival. On arrival, she had packed a lovely gift pack of rusks, chocolate and cappuccino near the kitchen. The accommodation is very neat and clean and is fully kitted with everything you would need. We were there for 2 days. The beach is on your doorstep and is not crowded. Leanne allowed for a late check-out, which we greatly appreciated as our flight was in the evening. We consider this our place away from home when in Durban.

Great weather, nice and sunny in the Dolphin coast. Quick and easy access to the beach. Lovely unit, it was clean and the essentials were provided. Quite a few steps going up and down if you don’t want to take the long way around and up the unit. The host was very responsive when in need. We had a good time. No complaints.
