We had a fantastic week at La Gigon, so peaceful and relaxing, it had all we needed and more. Our 3 kids (6-9 years) had a ball in the pool and using all the games room had to offer. Judy was friendly and easy to communicate with and Jackie her property manager was welcoming and lovely. I highly recommend La Gigon and would love to return in the future.

We hebben een super fijn verblijf gehad bij Daniel en Claire, mooie gite met welgekomen zwembad, mooie omgeving om te wandelen en te fietsen, maar vooral de rust en ontwaken met enkel het geluid van de vogels was voor ons super genieten, onze hond Ziggy heeft ook genoten en voelde zich zeer welkom. Kortom, echt een aanrader!

Honestly one of the most spectacular places I have ever stayed at we didn’t want to leave! Absolutely gorgeous and serene. There is a calmness to the area and everything in the house made it so easy. Our family had a magical time here and Jil was incredible. So helpful and kind. It was like visiting and staying at an old friend’s. The town was beautiful with very friendly people. Jil and Thomas have thought of everything you might need to the stereo system outside to the bbq and electric shutters for a perfect night sleep. We can’t wait to come back again and make it a tradition to stay here! 😍

We absolutely loved our stay with John & Terry! We can't say enough about how kind they are, how lovely their place & property is- truly one of the best experiences we've had. They had amazing suggestions for us during our stay, and everything we could think of in the space. Our two kids were so sad to leave when it was time to checkout, they made us promise that we'll be back! Thank you so much, John & Terry- we look forward to our next visit! :)

The loveliest airbnb we’ve ever stayed at!! The owners are so accommodating and their cats and dogs are so sweet. The views are incredible and the gite was perfect- had everything we needed even coffee and every kitchen utensil you could think of! There’s also a BBQ you can use if you’d like. The pool was perfect for the heatwave (and the aircon!) and so tranquil. There’s a book in the room that the hosts have put together with info about local attractions and recommendations that was very helpful! If you want a peaceful get away, it doesn’t get much better than this!

I rented this home to enjoy some family and friend time away from otherwise hectic French travel. This was perfect! It felt like staying in the home of a dear friend or family member. And, the host recommended a private chef who provided cooking lessons and a birthday luncheon! Unforgettable!! Unlike any other Airbnb property for its charming hosts, the beautiful character of the property and the amenities we enjoyed. Lots of nearby wineries, Bergerac had great charm and food, boat ride on the Dordogne, and more. No one wanted to leave! We hope to return!! Merci beaucoup, Karen & Charlie!!

It’s difficult to describe how special this place is! Situated on a beautiful property, the apartment is accessed through a gate into a courtyard and feels very private. (The place does share the courtyard with two other rental units, which were empty when we were there but it might have felt less private had they been occupied.) A converted barn, the apartment is cozy and unique with beautiful, thoughtful touches throughout. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and cooking in the well-appointed kitchen was a pleasure. Hosts are wonderful - warm and welcoming, and available and helpful without being intrusive. They even offered to bake us a savory pie on arrival and happily donated some butter to make our daughter’s birthday cake as the nearby shops were closed. We would love to come back one day and be able to swim and spend more time outdoors - as it was, our daughter loved exploring the yard and woods, filled with delightful surprises. A gem!

Beautiful home and grounds! Well equipped with all necessary supplies. Communication with Caroline was excellent! Always with a quick response to questions and even worked out a birthday cake and wine for our traveling friend. Nice outside seating area to enjoy by the pool. Would highly recommend!

We had two very relaxing weeks at Gîte Magitte. The house is situated in the countryside amidst beautiful wheat fields and walnut groves, near the village of Bardenac so peace and quiet are guaranteed. The house is very comfortable and equipped with everything one could need, including air conditioning in the two downstairs bedrooms which was very much appreciated when temperatures rose above 35C. Our little terrier had plenty of space to run around as the garden is huge although not enclosed. The pièce de resistance with these temperatures was of course the beautiful swimming pool where we spent most of our day. The owner Guillaume was always accessible and replied immediately to any message we sent. We will certainly come back.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Clos Castaing. Kayaking, paddle boarding and canoeing on the Dordogne. Cycling and visiting local vineyards and St Emilion. The house is full of character, spacious and a perfect, tranquil base.

Spectacular stay at Le Cheval Blanc! We loved our week at this large but charming house in the countryside. Beautiful, clean and cozy bedrooms! Large comfortable living room area with a wood stove that came in handy in the unusually cool September. The kitchen-wow. The best appointed kitchen we have ever encountered! And then, there are the hosts that went above and beyond to make our experience phenomenal. Delicious welcome meal and a well stocked fridge to get us started. Bill and Jill were friendly and very helpful. Walks in the area possible. Many villages to visit within an hour or two. It was an amazing week. You should stay at Le Cheval Blanc!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in einem wunderbaren ruhigen großen Park. Die Rosen duften und die Terrasse bietet viel Platz zum entspannen. Die Vögel hört man abends sowie die Frösche am Teich… es waren tolle drei Tage, ein perfekter Abschluss nach der Stadt.

Great place for exploring the Dordogne countryside and surrounding areas. The house with a nice outdoor terrace with dining table and seating allowing us to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area and to listen to the birdsong. The house had everything we needed and the kitchen was well equipped and we lacked for nothing. We booked very late and Pauline was very helpful and accommodating of our requirements, and the communication was excellent with lots of suggestions of things to do and places to go.

We hebben heerlijk verbleven in het huis. De aankomst was beetje vroeger en was geen probleem. Super vriendelijke mensen die altijd klaar stonden en direct reageerde. De locatie was heel rustig en genieten ! Zeker een aanrader voor tot rust te komen

JB's place was exactly as described: a very nicely arranged space in the countryside, absolutely perfect to deconnect and relax. There is some wildlife around to observe when taking any one of the walks in the area! We also enjoyed the restaurant recommendation right on the river: good food, and a lively atmosphere.

Ein Haus mit Herz und Seele Wir sind erst ein paar Tage zu Hause und vermissen die Jacotka, den Gérard und das gemütliche Häuschen jetzt schon. Dank dem herzlichen Empfang haben wir uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Gite ist liebevoll eingerichtet , viel Holz, stilvolle Lampen, wunderschöner Schrank den Jaqueline selber bemalt hat, bequeme Betten und tolle, bestickte Bettwäsche. Große, überdachte Terrasse mit Blick aufs grün einfach perfekt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzliche Menschen, wir hatten sogar Glück mit den ein Apéro zu trinken,den freundschaftlichen Abend werden wir nie vergessen. In der Nähe sind zwei sehr gute Restaurants La Douzième Heure und Le Cilaos. Die Umgebung ist sehr ländlich, die Dörfer sehr schön. Für Liebhaber von Schlösser ein echter Paradies. Die köstlichen Konfitüren von Jacotka (eigene Herstellung) haben uns den tollen Urlaub versüßt. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft 100 Prozent. Wat een prachtige Airbnb! Het huis was schitterend, en de tuin met zwembad was echt een plaatje. Alles was netjes en schoon, en we hebben ons hier enorm ontspannen. Het enige waar wij ons in vergist hadden, is dat de verhuurders direct naast ons zaten. Hierdoor was er iets minder privacy dan wij verwacht hadden. Dit is volledig onze eigen voorkeur en doet niets af aan de kwaliteit van de Airbnb. Het is alleen iets om rekening mee te houden als je wat meer privé wilt zijn.

Ambiance chaleureuse avec la possibilité de faire du feu ! Le jardin est très agréable ainsi que la petite ferme. Je recommande pour un séjour familial au calme. Cependant la connexion wifi est assez mauvaise donc je conseille davantage pour quelques jours sans réseau 😊 Merci à Peggy et à Maki qui nous ont très chaleureusement acceuilli

On a passé une semaine reposantes. Endroit paisible, belle maison en pierres avec grand (très grand) jardin et piscine. Literie confortable, tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner, les indispensables bébé à notre disposition (lit, baignoire, table à langer, jeux), lieux très propres. Hôtes gentils, avenants, amicaux. On a même eu droit à des légumes de leur maraîchage bio! Boulangerie à 2 minutes en voiture, à 15 min de Perigueux.
