I would recommend this place, extremely well located in a beautiful and relaxing setting. It is well equipped with all the necessary amenities and impeccably clean. The unobstructed view of the cove and the open sea as well as direct access from the garden to the beach make the stay memorable.

At the gates of La Hougue

MuirisRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The gite is in a beautiful remote setting. The house is spotlessly clean. It has been renovated and decorated beautifully and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. It is possible to walk to Quettehou, the nearest town. There is a supermarket just outside Quettehou, just a five minute drive away. There are nice restaurants in Saint Vaast la Hougue and in Barfleur, a short drive away. Would recommend tor a quiet relaxed getaway.

the "little house" in the Heart of Cotentin 1-4 people

CorinneRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Very friendly and caring welcome, tour of the house, answers to questions asked. Very clean house, very well-equipped and excellent bedding. Small welcome gift and a fire in the living room. Authentic and very quiet environment, everything we were looking for. A big thank you to Alice and her husband.
Aerial view of a coastal landscape featuring golden sandy beaches and turquoise waters. The shoreline curves gently, revealing a mix of wet sand and small waves. A distant village is visible among green hills, under a clear blue sky with a few scattered clouds.

Waterfront Cottage

Great place! We spent 4 nights with another family and their two teenage children. Beautiful location with complete privacy. Town of Barfleur only 5 minutes away which is an old fishing village with 4-5 nice restaurants. A little bit of a drive to the Normandy sites but not much traffic so easy to navigate. If you want to have a quiet and beautiful experience; this is a great hidden gem.

Charming cottage

MathildeRating, 5 stars10 months ago
The welcome and the house are full of charm. Isabelle was pleasant, with a real sense of good manners. Everything was done to make us feel comfortable... we received cookies and a bottle of cider, which is rare! The house is true to what is advertised: it is clean, very pretty, and without a doubt, it was even better than in the photos. Even if there is no TV or that sort of thing, you don't get bored because it's in the heart of equally cute and picturesque places. The city center of Valognes is not so far away and there are still many small shops available: supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, greengrocers, pharmacies, cafes, restaurants, a bookstore... and the Friday morning market, great too. Valognes is full of cute places that we were able to discover thanks to a set of small hiking maps of the area, kindly left by our hosts... Feel free to use them!
