Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

Saint-Bonnet-du-Gard small village of Occitania, will charm you with its calm and its location in the historic triangle of Nîmes, Avignon, Arles, a few minutes from Uzès and its market, and a stone's throw from the famous Pont du Gard, which you can reach on foot from the village by hiking trails. An hour from the beaches and the Cévennes. Its listed 12th century church and its unique Fountain-Washhouse. In the village you will find a tobacco store, a newsstand, a grocery store and three restaurants.

The Hidden House

Charming house hidden in the heart of the village. Completely renovated and air-conditioned. 1 suite on the ground floor with shower room and toilet and a reading area opening onto a small quiet garden. On the 1st floor, a beautiful living room opens onto a terrace where you can have breakfast, a cozy living room with a period fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. Charming cottage next to Pont du Gard

Close to Pont du Gard (40 min walk, 3 min drive), on a hillside overlooking nature drawn by its rivers and vineyards, the Petit Gîte will seduce you with its sweetness of life and sunny climate 300 days a year. Guests can take advantage of the outdoor area with private swimming pool (counter-current swimming), beautiful terrace and private access to the pétanque court. A beautiful path will lead you to the cottage in total independence thanks to the individual automated gate.
