Vacation rentals in Saint-Aulaye-Puymangou

C’était super ! Un cadre idyllique et apaisant ! Mon conjoint carpiste a pu faire trois poissons juste devant le logement ( entre 5 et 10 kg ). Je recommande fortement !

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Thierry’s château in Puymangou. The property is full of character, charm, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a special getaway. Our hosts, who also live at the château, were hospitable and responsive throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in the French countryside, and we’d absolutely love to return one day. One thing to keep in mind: taxis to and from Puymangou are rarely available and can be quite expensive, especially if you’re planning trips to Bordeaux or Saint-Émilion for wine tasting, so it’s a good idea to plan transport in advance. All in all, a magical experience!

We had a fantastic stay at Mary’s cottage! Mary is a wonderful host—warm, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. She gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area and shared thoughtful advice about our possible future move to France, which we really appreciated. The cottage is charming, clean, and very comfortable, with a beautiful and completely private garden that we had all to ourselves. Mary took the time to show us around on arrival and made sure we knew how everything worked. The wood-burning fire in the living room was already set up and ready to light, with a plentiful supply of dry wood and kindling provided. There was a terrific sense of having the home entirely to ourselves, while at the same time knowing that Mary was just around the corner should we need anything. Highly recommended!

Stéphanie nous a accueillis en personne avec mon conjoint. Elle s'est montrée très attentionnée, chaleureuse et nous a très vite mis à l'aise. Le logement est une vraie pépite, décoré avec goût, très propre, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans ce "petit" cocon ! Il est bien plus spacieux que ce que nous imaginions et tout était parfait : une entrée fleurie qui vous accueille avec le parfum des roses, des pièces lumineuses et confortables, des rangements à disposition, le tout au calme... Stéphanie n'a pas manqué de veiller à notre confort et de nous recommander de très bonnes adresses. L'environnement est magnifique également, que ce soit ses paysages bucoliques ou les villages alentours. Je ne saurai que vous le recommander !

Merci à Georges et Carole pour leur accueil sympathique et leur bienveillance tout au long du séjour. Nous avons passé trois nuits dans leur magnifique gîte très bien équipé et entouré d’une nature paisible, ce qui nous a permis de recharger les batteries ! Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Thank you to Cyrille and his family for a wonderful stay. If only we could have stayed longer. The pool area is so relaxing and the surroundings are stunning. The interior design was also lovely and homely and the kitchen was well equipped with the essentials. Communication was fantastic. We would love to go back!!

Our stay was great! Derk and his wife were very attentive and warm hosts, who welcome us and explained all about the region. The house corresponds to the pictures: it is beautiful, comfortable and cozy, has all the needed appliances for a pleasant stay in the countryside. Bathroom and shower are really good quality, living room extremely comfortable with a nice woodfire and the TV is actually larger than you can tell from the pictures. The garden is the highlight of the house, with a stunning view and a relaxing outside area for meals. The villages in the region are nice, with little shops, restaurants and sight seeing. Great recommendation for relaxing vacations! We would definitely like to stay in the Gite again in the future :) (and we love Ramsi, the golden retriever). Thank you Derk and family, we had a great time!

I spent 3 wonderful nights at Julie and Jim's superb 1 bedroom gite in Rioux Martin. I can't say enough good things about my experience. The inside of the gite was immaculately clean and very tastefully decorated. The outside space was equally nice and had all the necessary furniture to make outdoor dining pleasurable. This included both a front terrace for morning coffee and breakfast in the sun and a back terrace for evening cocktails and dinner. Lastly, Julie and Jim are so warm and gracious. They really seem to enjoy hosting guests from all over the world and they made my stay both comfortable and memorable. It was definitely one of the best Airbnb experiences I've had. Thank you Julie and Jim!
