Vacation rentals with a kayak in Sagadahoc County

Our family of five had an amazing time at Nicole’s place. The house is situated in a prime location on the water, with access to so many activities right from the dock. At night, you can hear a pin drop. It’s quiet, peaceful and perfect for stargazing and roasting marshmallows. The house is comfortably appointed with lots of blankets and pillows, tons of kitchen utensils, pots & pans, comfortable bedding, etc. The decor is very coastal Maine, lending itself to a cozy nautical vibe. You’re incredible close to Boothbay Harbor and the Coastal Botanical Gardens as well as neighboring cities like Wiscasset, Damariscotta, Bath and Portland. Nicole has great recs for food and local activities. Overall, her place is so comfortable and inviting, it was super hard to leave. Definitely recommend!

We had a delightful stay in this unique, beautifully designed, well-equipped house. The views were incredible and we stayed "home" for the majority of our meals rather than go out to eat and the kitchen was very well-stocked with high quality everything. We really enjoyed sitting outside in the late afternoons, listening to the birds and watching the tide go in and out. Very peaceful and just what we needed after a stressful July. We didn't love Brunswick itself, however -- a bit too commercial and built up for our tastes and there was traffic getting everywhere. That was the only downside of our stay but the house was wonderful.

This was such a wonderful property for my family -- beautiful and peaceful with lovely views. We loved spending our days out in the spacious yard, playing lawn games, sitting around the fire pit, and fishing, and eating all our meals out on the patio. Chip was an amazingly gracious and friendly house, with a house to be a great place for a true Maine Vacation! With amazing views and tons of great recommendations and information from Chip, it made our trip top notch. With plenty of yard space, amazing views over Casco Bay and sunsets that you could only dream of, this place really highlights why Maine is my little slice of heaven. Chip’s very detailed instructions made our stay amazing and helped us out immensely! With no shortage of sites or things to do, this is a great place for your next vacation!

Just book it!! This house is amazing. Everyone in our group was impressed with the home and how well it was appointed. We will be back! Kitchen has almost any tool or gadget one would ever need. Also appreciate: extra linens, spare toothbrush, tonnes of dishes/cutlery, board games, firewood. The beautiful, long driveway leads to a very private property with an impressive view of the bay. We didn't use the kayaks but they are easily accessible. The house manual is one of the most comprehensive, yet easy to use, I have found. Very helpful, especially where it states that cleaning before leaving isn't required! Great stay!

This charming home has all the amenities...with several areas to relax and enjoy the surroundings. And its just really beautiful. With plenty of restaurants and harbor activities nearby.

Wonderful stay! The house is great with a beautiful view and feels very private. Hannah was fantastic- accommodating and very easy to communicate with. It is within walking distance of beautiful trails. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!

Great place, Host was great and easy to reach. location was beautiful and right on the water, The porch was so comfortable watching the tides chances over the day with cup of tea.

We returned for a second summer to this delightful rustic yet modern cottage located on the Sheepscot River because it has everything we need for a relaxing vacation. The three sets of sliding glass doors which lead to an expansive deck and screened porch showcase the picturesque view of the river. Just steps down a newly renovated path is an equally stunning view from the private dock. We spent many hours either drinking our morning coffee or enjoying a glass of wine sitting in the rocking chairs watching a variety boats and wildlife including a pair of eagles nesting nearby. We found the location of the cottage provided us with easy access to Bath, Boothbay Harbor and of course, Reid State Park while also offering a sense of privacy and remoteness so vital for a rejuvenating vacation. The new, well stocked kitchen makes cooking easy. We also loved having dinner at Five Island Lobster, The Osprey and Blue, all a convient distance away.

As we arrived there was a bottle of wine waiting for us! We so enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the tides and the eagles soaring above us, diving into the water to catch fish! We kayaked right off the property which was also super convenient and very beautiful. We had a lovely week at the cottage and thoroughly enjoyed its amenities. We would definitely recommend and return!

Cathy is such a great host. Her space had so many kid-friendly details (toys, books, art supplies, reading lamps). She also lent us the an outdoor wagon and even a Tonka truck for my toddler - both big hits. The three-ring binder with information and recommendations was well organized and accessible. Cathy was more than happy to give recommendations for good places to hike. The area has so many beautiful and accessible trails, including a nature preserve right across the road from the Airbnb cottage. Popham beach is a good 45 minute drive, but Cedar Isle beach is just 5 minutes away and also has nice sand with far fewer seagulls. Great place to stay for young families and nature-lovers!

This is our third time staying here and it continues to be perfect: cozy, comfortable, quiet, and private. The well-appointed kitchen makes enjoying local fare easy to do, and Bill has thoughtfully included other amenities to make our stay a breeze: full size washer and dryer, kayaking equipment, a cooler for day trips, and gas grill. Looking forward to returning next year.

Cecilia and Isabella were phenomenal hosts and made the stay even more enjoyable than just the simply glorious cabin and property. This experience was absolutely everything that I was hoping for. The cabin was rustic and had perfect Maine Lakeside charm. I could have spent the rest of the summer on that dock 🥰

We enjoyed our stay at Jonathan’s and Ruth’s place. The cottage is very nice and cozy. We especially loved the garden and all the birds that visited us during the stay.

We had an unforgettable stay at this charming oceanfront cottage! From watching bald eagles soar overhead to seeing seals swim by, the wildlife alone made it an incredible experience. On one particularly clear night, we were even lucky enough to catch the northern lights—truly magical! We also took advantage of the fully stocked kitchen. We were able to cook fresh lobster outside, which tasted even better with the stunning 180-degree ocean views as our backdrop. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood on a quaint island road, this home is the perfect getaway. The bright and open kitchen flows seamlessly into a cozy living room that leads to a large deck. We were treated to breathtaking sunrises from the living room each morning—a truly spectacular way to start the day. Whether it was sipping coffee in the morning or enjoying an evening drink, the deck was the ideal spot to soak in the peaceful surroundings. Ryan and Sharon

This was exactly what I wanted, quiet, gorgeous, with a screened in porch to watch the water. Everything was as described. Check to make sure you like the location, because it's not super close to anything, but as a person looking for a peaceful spot on the water, this was superb. I'll be staying again.

What a beautiful setting! We enjoyed the peacefulness and quiet seeing bald eagles, loons, porpoise, turkeys and seals on our first day. Visiting our daughter at Bowdoin and this location was ideal - experiencing a bit of the Maine coast while still being close to campus. Hosts responded very quickly when we texted with a question. We would stay here again!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed Waterledge. The home is lovingly decorated and comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to cook complete meals. Indoor games and outdoor toys such as corn hole, croquet, kayaks… are also available. We enjoyed the stunning sunsets from the large porch, exploring the beach/waters edge at low tide and hiking. Everyone in our party of 6 wants to come back!

Simply wonderful and wonderfully simple. Katie and Chris’s place is cozy and comfortable, in a beautiful setting, and is very quiet and peaceful. Perfect place to get away but close to Bath and other sights and services. We highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.
