Don’t be “thrown off” by the name, location, or ambience of the restaurant. It has now become one of our favorites. Their chicken and dumplings are amazing! Their Cesar salad is excellent as are their short ribs and pork chop with fried egg. Don’t miss eating here! It’s located at 626 South Tremont Street in Oceanside. Simply take the Coast Highway and go South to Minnesota Avenue and turn right/West to the first street (Tremont) and turn right (North) and the restaurant is on the right (East) side of the street. It’s open only for happy hour and dinner.

Ruby’s has excellent breakfasts – the cinnamon roll French toast is very good. You may also want to try the turkey sausage, veggie and egg skillet scramble.
