The Kennel Field above Thornton Rust is a very special site with a rich and delightful wild flowers including early purple orchids, wood anemones, primrose, cowslips, rare sedge, harebells, scabious, oxeye daisies and many more. Sit a while and spend some time enjoying the view from the bench at the top of the field. You’ll not be disappointed.

Cotter Force is a beautiful series of waterfalls just off the A684 west of Hawes. They are easily wheelchair accessible along a footpath leading from a lay-by on the right hand side of the road. Kingfishers are regularly spotted.
