Cod Beck Reservoir is beautiful and only a short walk up the road from the cottage. There is also two car parks if you want to drive there. It has a footpath right around which is flat and suitable for peaks/pushchairs and wheelchairs. It has areas to sit and have lunch and enjoy the scenery. The ice cream van will often be in the car park on a nice day.

There is an Urgent Care Centre here at the Frirage Hospital. The swimming baths offer fun for the whole family and there is a soft play called Crazy Kingdom if the kids need to let off some steam! There is a market on the high street on Wednesday and Saturday.

Saltburn is always a favourite, approximately 30 minute drive away you will find a long Sandy beach, cafes, fish and chips shops and a pub. Take a walk along the long pier or take a ride in the cable car. It’s a great day out for all the family including dogs 🐕
