On this side of the moor, this very atmospheric priory is well worth a visit to see the 9 houses of the monks of the Carthusian order. The café is new, just before the entrance. Free car parking. Just off the A19 (you come across this quickly, so keep an eye out). If you are staying with us, there is a much more spectacular drive from the Linen Press than your Sat Nav may suggest, ask Nigel for directions. Dogs only allowed at the outdoor cafe, not in the priory grounds or gardens. English Heritage and National Trust members can both access this property with their membership.
