Places to stay in Woodstock
The Willow Treehouse is settled among the trees, overlooking a small, swimmable pond, on a wooded property 15min away from the town of Woodstock. It is cozy, yet has all you need to cook dinner, enjoy reading, chilling, or swimming. Separate spaces for chilling, writing a novel or enjoying the view. The sleeping loft is accessible by a ladder, and you would have to walk in with your luggage, so pack lightly. It is perfect for couples and solo adventurers.
Designed by Antony Gibbon and built by William Johnson the Treehouse is a passion project that came to life.
Secluded and quiet, but only 15 minutes from downtown's many shops and restaurants
  • This was our third visit to the treehouse and with each experience it seems to become more magical. Avner and Maskit have created a space that is the embodiment of deep connection- to nature, to one another, to one’s self. A place so enveloped in serenity that you can hear your own heartbeat if you listen closely. As avid travelers and seekers of unique and transformative experiences, the Willow Treehouse is at the top of our getaway list. If you are looking to escape the grind, find a place to recharge and renew, disconnect to connect, or simply to breathe just a little bit more deeply, then you’ve found your place. :: Pure Bliss ::

  • Honestly it doesn’t get more magical than this. The house has a captivating view that can be appreciated from any level (the loft bed, the deck, or at the kitchen sink) and is well equipped for cooking simple meals and conveniently close to town for groceries. Highly recommend this spot to unplug and relax—it was the perfect size for two guests and the record player was a sweet touch.

  • Wonderful location. Had a very relaxing stay.

  • Amazing, cozy, private place. The added bonus of no cell service and no wi-fi made it a truly restorative stay!

    Elizabeth2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This weekend trip was spectacular. The treehouse is so beautiful, calming, Private & a wonderful escape from NYC! We stayed in all weekend, cooked, played games, burned a fire and played music on the wonderful record player. I can’t wait to book another weekend!

    Michelle2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I went to Willow Treehouse for our anniversary and had a wonderful time! There are some great hiking trails in the area, and the town has a bunch of fun little shops, although we spend a majority of the time doing a puzzle with some drinks by the fire. We thought the no wifi or cell service was going to be tough, but it was awesome to not even think about looking at our phones for 2 days. The area is beautiful and quiet, and at only 2 hours from Manhattan, is a wonderful weekend escape. Highly recommended getaway. Thanks, Avner and Maskit!

Discover a mix of modernity and history in this re-imagined barn built in the 1870s. The home features original architectural beams and exposed brick, a cozy fireplace, a back porch, wood finishes, a vibrant use of color, and a BBQ.
This home is a peaceful and relaxing spot. There are three good-sized bedrooms with queen size beds, plus an extra queen size air mattress. The kitchen is large and has lots of coffee, tea, dishes, cups, utensils for your meals. We've spotted deer and wild turkeys wandering through the backyard. The animals seem to love the creek running through the property. You'll also likely hear a variety of birds. There's a projector screen that you're welcome to use with Amazon and Netflix. You're also welcome to sit around the fireplace in the living room and use the propane grill out back.
The area is home to 300,000 acres of Catskill Mountain hiking trails, and the Big Deep is a great swimming hole in the summertime. A five minute drive away is downtown Woodstock with a variety of shops and galleries.
  • Zack’s house is a wonderful mix of modern and rustic. We enjoyed all the games and amenities. Also, my husband and I both agreed this was the very best fireplace we had seen! The bed in the downstairs bedroom was amazingly comfortable. We would love to return!

    Ioana2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This farmhouse is so cozy and comfortable and in a great location! We loved our week in the country and the house was stocked with anything we could have needed for our stay. Zack was communicative and helpful before and during the stay and has really made the house feel like a cozy special getaway. You are just a few minute drive away from downtown Woodstock with great shops and places to eat and close to Saugerties which was a nice way to spend a day. A few things to be aware of: the shower pressure was low, to be expected from an old home. We visited in feb so of course it was cold outside and hard to keep the main floor warm, even with the various heaters, main system and a fire.

    Veronica2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Zack’s home was incredibly comfortable and spacious with such a cool design! Great location and fireplace made us feel right at home!

    Michelle2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Zacks place was very cozy and thoughtfully designed! We had a great time

    Jennie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such a special place! Mostly loved hanging out by the amazing fireplace. Very comfortable, open and beautifully decorated. Interesting objects and you feel a sense of a passionate owner.

    Tim2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Zack’s place was exactly what I was looking for! The house was very clean but still offered the rustic vibes of a cabin. The decorating was on point with all the vintage gems thoughtfully placed in each room. I enjoyed the fireplace quite a bit, and the kitchen was nice for cooking. Overall, one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed.

    Nicole2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great, I will definitely be coming back.

    Chino2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Zack's place. The house was really well furnished, nothing was missing. We really felt like we were staying at a friend house. We particularly enjoyed the living room with the fireplace while watching a movie on the screen. All the rooms were cosy and beds confortables. The location was extremly simple to find and instruction to open the house easy to follow. Less than 10 min away you have grocery stores and restaurants in Woodstock.

Acclaimed painter Reginald Marsh's family estate is known to be unique for Woodstock with its ball shaped junipers, a pond that brackets the house, expansive lawns, a gathering of birches and 100 year old cone shaped cedar trees.  Today the 800sft architect-renovated former carriage house of the estate is an updated space decorated in a warm mid-century featured as Freshgrub unique property, and most recently at Icon Design Magazine. The Carriage House comes with views to the stream and a private swim hole with waterfall, outdoor dining with charcoal grill and multiple outdoor lounge areas.
If you want to fall asleep to the stereo lullaby of frog croaks while watching the spectacle of fireflies competing with stars, this is the place. Frederick Dana Marsh, father of the well known Social Realist painter Reginald Marsh, married Mabel Van Alstyne in 1930, starting a notable artistic partnership as the Van Alstyne Marsh Collection that was later acquired by the Smithsonian Institution. Their home was unique for Woodstock—'It was in the background of the Mona Lisa; a Van Gogh landscape; a train ride through Tuscany—ball shaped junipers;  a pond that bracketed the house;  expansive lawns; a gathering of birches.  But most of all, big cone shaped cedar trees.  It is a marvelous thing to look up at backlit clouds at sunset—see the intrusion of cedar peaks, pointing up like soft missles and the erratic flight of mosquito catcher bats making ninety degree turns down the channels between the trees.  A photographer friend was here last weekend and I told her, “Don't worry about framing the picture, just point and shoot.  The landscaper framed it for you seventy years ago." ' Here I quote Austin Metze, who knows this piece of land long before it put a spell on us. To be there is to inhabit an idyllic painting. Sit in the property's own Hidden Chair Waterfall or chill at the secluded sandy beach swim hole a one minute stroll away through enchanted woods, take a hike up Milk Mountain or across the stream up the trails of the neighboring nature preserve for a Sunday brunch in town and visit to the flea market. Or just read a good book under a cypress tree. The Cottage House is on the same property as the Pond House, occasionally available for rent at 'Woodstock Historic Artist Estate' listing. Both houses are very private. There are three houses next to each other, the Cottage House, the old Farm House that is permanently rented to our dear Lainey and Austin, and the Pond House, currently owner-occupied. The Cottage House faces the stream with waterfall and small swim hole and the great lawn on one side and the woods and 'Milk Mountain' on the other, with an outdoor chaise overviewing the legendary Indian Head mountain ridge. The house is an architect-renovated 800sft two bedroom, one bath, sleeping 5 by means of a sofa bed in the living room. We provide linens, towels and other necessities. The house has an outdoor dining area with charcoal grill, as well as lounge chairs by the waterfall. Idyllic setting bordering a public preserve, short walking distance to the center of Woodstock. Two rental houses are separated by the main house, facing away from each other ensuring privacy. No other house is visible from inside the Carriage House with its own designated back yard facing the stream. The swim hole is shared with the Pond House, with a second, larger swim hole a short stroll through the woods away. An outdoor day bed overviews the legendary Indian Head mountain ridge.
  • I had a wonderful time! Especially as trip to get away from NYC, the cottage was cozy and quaint and very peaceful. It was furnished to feel like a dream home and it felt that way. I look forward to returning in the future.

    Marc2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • A magical spot- beautifully decorated in a tranquil setting by the stream. Close in to town but feels private and remote. The interior was wonderfully decorated and thoughtful in its style. An amazing find!

  • Inspiring peaceful sanctuary

  • Amazing get away from the city. I felt so calm and serene at this cozy stylish cottage. I will definitely come visit more during the summer time. I took so many pictures haha. Seriously obsessed with the decor and the ambiance. THANK YOU FOR THIS GEM

  • Nin’s place is gorgeous, and the house is thoughtfully appointed with all these charming details that makes you feel cozy and welcome. The backyard with the stream and the pond and the surrounding trees make you feel like you are in the lap of nature while enjoying the comforts of a modern cottage. Nin’s instructions were detailed and helpful and the place was easy to access. The house is close to the Woodstock center and to Phoenicia with abundant options for dining, hiking and other fun activities. We had a wonderful stay at this place!!

    Raj2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Nin’s place is just as stylish as the pictures. It was wonderful to get out of the city for a few days and enjoy nature. The grounds are beautiful and there is lots to explore. Would absolutely come back again!

    Nikki2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Just the place I was looking for for a mini city escape. Nin was very helpful and responded to any questions I had right away. The space had just what you need for a few nights stay, but not too much where it feels overly "lived in" or clutter-y.

  • Lenny and Jack’s place is exquisite! Huge stylish kitchen, convenient location, sauna, hot tub all made for a perfect Woodstock weekend! Jack took great care to make sure we had everything we needed from first contact to follow up text on checkout day. This is a must stay!

    Shannon2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend staying here. The cabin is cozy, clean, and filled with stylish touches. The amenities are amaaazing. My girlfriend and I loved the sauna and the heated toilet seat haha ;D and the jacuzzi is beautifully placed at the top of the walkway amongst trees and a well-lit path. I loved the different levels of the property (having an upstairs and a small climb to the backyard). There is an easy trail nearby and the town was just a 7-10 minute drive away. Very accomodating hosts who made sure we had everything we needed while also giving us space and privacy. Thank you! We look forward to coming back one day.

  • Great place! It was better than we expected. Loved our stay.

    Brent2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place had everything we could want and more. The attention to detail in the design and layout was wonderful, and made us feel so welcome and cozy. Jack was a perfect host and explained everything in great detail. We only stayed one night but already were talking of returning soon.

  • Really unique stay, we really enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace

    Steven2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so cool. Great house with all the Woodstock-centric artistic touches, luxury amenities, and a perfect location.

    Kurt2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our visit at Lenny and Jack's place. The house is beautiful, the setting is lovely and we really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. We highly recommend this stay for anyone visiting the Woodstock/Catskills region.

    Gabriel2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot for our romantic weekend getaway. The hot tub was the star of the property for us, but not far behind was the cozy living room with it's fireplace and vinyl collection - or maybe it was the calming sound of the river running from the balcony. The kitchen had a fun, retro vibe to it with big, bright windows and we thoroughly enjoyed just lounging around the house. Didn't go into town, except for a nice organic grocery store near by that was stocked with lots of goods. Highly recommend this place!

Our little cabin is made and furnished with great care and attention to detail. The space is comfortable and homey, bright and flooded with fresh mountain air. Many of the pieces are hand made and those that are not were chosen for both their aesthetic and functionality. We offer high speed internet access, full service internet TV, Netflix, and a full kitchen with every utensil and pot/pan you need (we've been to a bunch of airbnb's and we hardly ever saw a decent sized spaghetti pot!) and hand crafted bathroom with shower. The views from every window are exquisite - from the front we have miles and miles of national park that change in appearance every day. Whether its covered in fog, changing leaves, bright sunshine or fresh snow Mount Guardian delivers a constantly changing and stunning landscape. Enjoy your morning cup from one of the hammock chairs, the couch, or with a newspaper at the kitchen table... At night , forego the tech and curl up in front of the fire with one of our books, or set up a board game with a glass of wine. The place is cozy warm in the coldest months, and although we have air conditioning, its rare that you'll need it. When you're ready - jump into our queen sized memory foam bed before deciding to get one for yourself (yes - its that good and we're happy to share the details). and gaze up through the skylight at the stars. If you're used to sleeping with constant light and noise you'll be amazed at how well rested you feel after just a couple nights on the mountain. Skiers- we can't guarantee the snow, but the cabin is 20 miles from Hunter, 31 miles to Windham, and 36 miles to Belleayre. Inquire about our mid-week skier specials (Sunday night through Friday morning). We are pet friendly, but only small and medium sized dogs (sorry, we can't allow cats). We charge a cash deposit on arrival, and return it to you at the end of your stay. If you would like to bring a dog, PLEASE SEND AN INQUIRY (DO NOT USE INSTANT BOOKING). We have some pet guidelines which you need to read and agree to first. Nothing huge or surprising, but due to some irresponsible pet owners, we like to be clear before you book. If you are planning to come by motorcycle, PLEASE send an inquiry (do not use instant booking). Special Events in the area: June: Taste of Country and Mountain Jam at Hunter Mountain (Both are great by the way!) June through October: Usually something just about every weekend. Check out what is going on at Levon Helm Studios, Bearsville Theatre, the Colony, Maverick Concerts. Many other music and theater venues a little farther off. Mid October: The view of the changing leaves is spectacular Mid October: Woodstock Film Festival. Book early. This brings big crowds to our little town. Late October: Woodstock Luthier Festival November: Halloween in Woodstock is an event not to be missed. Half for the kids, half for all the folks around here who haven't abandoned their 8 year old. A LOT of fun. Christmas: when Santa comes to Woodstock, most of the town turns out for the welcome party. Like no other.
The cottage is set in the secluded woods of Mt. Guardian, four miles from the center of Woodstock. Explore artist workshops and colonies, excellent music venues, great restaurants, bars, and plenty of cool little shops. Hiking, skiing, swimming, and tubing are all nearby. Licensed massage therapist available next door or in cabin (please book in advance). It's beautiful up here every season- spring and fall are magical, summer swimming, tubing, exploring and winter skiing and times by the fire.
  • My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Harvey’s place was immaculate, well equipped, and very convenient to Woodstock and other Catskill attractions. Harvey is very welcoming and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

    Matt2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a top notch cabin! My wife and I stayed here to celebrate her birthday weekend. Harvey and Linda made us feel right at home. The cabin was beautiful and spotless. They were extremely accommodating and gave us plenty of ideas for things to do, places to eat, etc. We also really appreciated the welcome book and guide that was provided at the cabin. It made our stay as easy as possible. We loved our stay here and we would absolutely recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a quality stay in the mountains.

    Jason2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It doesn’t get lovelier than this. I really didn’t want to leave... so Harvey offered me a late check-out, a couple of extra hours with my pup for a long walk in the woods out back, an extra cup of coffee lazing on the porch looking out at the mountains in the distance. I’ll be returning as soon as I can.

    Cindy2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend getaway here! Harvey was a great host, providing excellent dining recommendations and dropping off fresh-roasted coffee on the day we arrived. The guesthouse was private, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Amazing location-- felt like it was tucked away from all civilization, but actually quite conveniently located near Woodstock. We plan to return!

    José2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Welcoming and stylish, with great views. This cabin is the perfect home base for a few days in the Catskills.

    Andrew2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • It was just perfect

    Yosy2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Harvey was a welcoming and thoughtful host. He welcomed us soon after we got settled with a bag of his own Columbian coffee. The guesthouse was beautiful inside and had everything my wife and our dog needed. The location was ideal for nights by the fire, hikes during the day, or nights out on the town. We would absolutely consider staying here again.

    Kyle2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Harvey's was absolutely great! The cabin itself is super comfortable and homey, and comes with an instruction booklet that covered everything that we needed. The view is absolutely breathtaking. Harvey was present when needed while still giving us our privacy, and super easy to reach for both help and suggestions about what to do while we were at the cabin. We were also lucky enough to meet their super cute and sweet pup, Rosie while Linda was taking her out on a walk!

  • Chase and Liz were incredible hosts. The space surpassed our expectations. Beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay even more than we expected. Already planning on returning or visiting one of their other properties :)

    Yesenia2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful! The design was lovely, sitting by the gas fire place curled up with one of their many extra soft blankets, and watching the sun setting over the beautiful mountains was absolutely amazing. The studio is detached from the main house, but above a garage or working studio, so you’ll hear the hosts when they are in that area, but otherwise it’s completely quiet. I love that it’s so near Woodstock and all the amazing food and shipping there. I would definitely book again!

    Christine2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was exactly what my boyfriend and I needed and more! We were looking to find a cute place in Catskill Mountains to get away from all the chaos in the city and this was definitely what we got. Chase included so many nice touches such as having an abundance amount of toiletries, fresh towels, so many options for body soap and even shampoo. All we had to do was just bring ourselves, some clothes and head down here literally! The decor of the studio was seriously to die for and don’t even get me started with the fireplace (OH MY)... this fireplace was the highlight of our mini weekend getaway because we had the luxury of enjoy a wine bottle and watching some Netflix during the night! The shower area was my most favorite because it had an open concept layout and was just the coolest thing ever. The location even was amazing with beautiful scenery and it was close to a downtown area called Woodstock! We were able to venture out to Woodstock and have a walk and even came by a liquor store that offers wine tastings on Saturdays (major plus!!!) My boyfriend and I were truly obsessed with this Airbnb and we hope to come back very soon! Thank you Chase for providing such great service and for sharing this beautiful spot with us!

  • Couldn’t have asked for a better experience !!! Place was perfect, clean, comfortable, close to Woodstock, not far from hunter mountain, perfect location. Definitely would recommend this place to anybody visiting the area

    Will2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Warm, cozy, bright, and cheerful. This was the perfect quick getaway from the city. The space was exactly as pictured and was perfect for a relaxing mini retreat. The space being heated by a gas stove made to look like a wood stove was super cute and cozy, the shower area was unique and artful (creates from reclaimed wood and such) and situated in an interesting location in the space. The creek right outside was a perfect view with so many windows looking out towards the trees and mountains. I definitely plan to return!

    Shoshana2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The appartement is really cosy and we spent a really nice trip in the Catskills. Chase answered to all of our questions and was available when needed. Perfect.

  • Cozy apartment with charming interior decor. We were able to relax and unwind in the clean and cozy bed & linens with the fire going. The near town of Woodstock was darling- we were blown away by the fantastic restaurant scene. The Pines , Silvia and The Mud are a must! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

  • We had a lovely time! The location is great-far enough away from town to feel secluded, but very walkable from the bus drop off. The space was stocked with everything we could imagine needing, and was super clean. Check in and out was very easy. We had a great time and can't wait to come back for a longer stay!

    Carolyn2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • V's place was so cute! It was everything as expected and a short drive to Tinker street. Will definitely want to stay again in the future!

    Sandra2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended this cute place which is very close to Tinker St. Easy check in & directions written around the place to help you feel at home. We had a question about using apple TV & host got back to us right away. Kitchen supplies available to make cooking in the space a breeze. Would stay again.

The perfect cozy cottage for a romantic getaway...or just to get away. Walking distance to the quaint and funky town of Woodstock. Enjoy coffee or cocktails right on the stream on the back deck or underneath the grape-vined pergola. Fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the stream and wake up to the beautiful songbirds. Have a BBQ in the lush garden or sit around the fire pit and toast marshmallows. 2% Ulster County tax included. Unfortunately, the indoor fireplace is not working at this time.
Funky town of Woodstock is just steps away!
  • This is the best cottage we've been to on Airbnb! Everything was perfect. The stream right behind the cottage makes you feel secluded in the woods, but all the Woodstock shops and restaurants are just a short walk away. Can't wait to come back!

    Pablo2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was absolutely stunning. A rustic feel makes it seem as if you're so far away, but a cute town with great food and shops are only a five minute walk. Perfect for adventurous hikers to explore the nearby trails, or someone looking to stay in and just relax.

    Adam2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This property is charming, peaceful and a perfect getaway. Linda's decorating is perfect for the area. The house is incredibly clean with everything you would need. I can't wait to go back in the spring.

  • This cottage is so unbelievably perfect. It was beautiful, and so stylish. The stream behind the cottage just added to the magic. Very close to town. We came for a weekend away and feel completely relaxed and rejuvenated. I can’t recommend this house enough, just stay here and feel at home!

  • You won't find a cottage like this. It quaint, super cozy, warm upon entry (we came first truly cold weekend of season), sits in the forest with a babbling brook running right off the back bedroom and deck! And you are walking distance to everything, you will never need your car to get anywhere in town. The owners are beyond prepared for their guests, super responsive. We will be back. This place made a short list of places that we must return to!

    Christopher2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place!!!! So close to town - we walked to restaurants, music, bars and museums, yet this awesome little cottage was down a quiet lane on a stream and seemed like miles away from the center of town. Falling asleep to the sound of the stream was so relaxing. And Lisa was super responsive, easy check in and super clean. I highly recommend you staying there. We will return! John

    John2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The only reason I don’t want to say GO THERE! Is because I want it available for me. Haha! It is totally amazing- just what u see in the pics plus other cool details. And the brook- ah. And the 3 min walk to town. And the 9 mile drive to a short waterfalls hike. Ah- go there, but don’t hog it.

  • I just got back from a long weekend at grapevine cottage and we had an absolutely amazing experience. I would highly recommend booking! We were greeted by Suki right as we pulled up, and she continued to be a gracious, responsive host right up until we left. She had some great recommendations for eating out in the area, and she even gave us some homemade chocolate covered stuffed strawberries as a special Valentine's Day treat. The grounds are beautiful, so I hope to be back when it's a little warmer to take advantage of the pool and outdoor spaces. We saw deer in the morning and stars at night. Suki's house is on the opposite side of the property, so she's nearby if you need her, but it also allows for a really nice amount of privacy and quiet. The highlight of the trip was the cottage itself. The space is so bright and airy with a cozy couch, well-stocked kitchen, heated floors (my personal favorite, haha), quirky artwork and books, fast wi-fi, and just good vibes in general. It looks just as nice as it does in the photos and was even a tiny bit bigger than I expected. The bed was firmer than I'm used to, but still very clean and comfortable. I would book again in a heartbeat.

    Lee2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Suki's place is one of a kind. We will deffinelty be back as soon as we can. She's a beautiful person and I'm happy we had a chance to connect with her and spend some time talking. Suki & Tim have create an experience that you will always remember. Thank you for this!

    Adam2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was absolutely perfect getaway location. Suki is an amazing host and the place was better than I expected. Such a peace stay. I’d highly recommend it to anyone.

  • Amazing property with beautiful landscaping around the whole 2 acre yard. Located close to downtown Woodstock and hiking trails. Fully stocked kitchen with welcome basket and s’mores to enjoy by the bone fire. Can’t wait to come back next fall!

    Logan2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Suki (and her pup Pippin), we nothing short of perfect. We truly enjoyed ourselves in this secluded spot, but had Suki just across the way should we need anything (including recommendations for local hikes). Suki was very responsive, but also such a kind and warm-hearted soul. She was part of what made our trip so special. The place itself is very cozy and picture-perfect. The property is immaculate and we hope to return next time in the summer to see it then as well. This is a very special place and you should definitely book!

    Tim2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a great experience, I honestly can’t say enough. Suki was an amazing host and was very welcoming and attentive. Would definitely love to come back one day!

We offer a private studio apartment located on the second floor of this wonderfully restored 2 unit carriage house, built in the early roarin' 20's! It offers a blend of modern amenities, with more traditional countryside accents. The traditional design of the studio allows light to pour through the apartment, while making adjustments for sleeping in easy. This truly unique space is a perfect place to take a weekend to relax, and enjoy our exterior grounds!

Awaken to an idyllic view of trees through timber-framed picture windows. Acclaimed social realist painter Reginald Marsh's family estate is known to be unique for Woodstock with its ball shaped junipers, a pond that brackets the house, expansive lawns, a gathering of birches and 100 year old cone shaped cedar trees. Today the former artist studio of the estate is an architect-renovated gem most recently featured at Icon Design Magazine Italy. The setting with a private waterfall bordering public preserves, as well as the attention to architectural detail is unique.
Start the day with breakfast under the hydrangea trees while goslings and blue heron comb the waters. Sit in the property's own Hidden Chair Waterfall or chill at the secluded sandy beach swim hole a one minute stroll away through enchanted woods, take a hike up Milk Mountain or up the trails of the neighboring nature preserve for a Sunday brunch in town and visit to the flea market. Or just hang in the birch hammock and read a good book under a cypress tree. THE POND HOUSE HAS UNDERGONE MAJOR RENOVATION. There are reviews from before renovation, as well as from 2016 when certain interior details were not yet finished. It is the 1930' Reginald Marsh artist studio building with 16' ceiling height and tall artist studio windows. It is an architect's home with a lot of attention to architectural detail, in a unique setting. As of 2017 interior renovation is complete, yet certain exterior details are not yet finished. There are 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom overlooking the pond with floor to ceiling windows on three sides. The master bedroom is open to the staircase with a kid's room adjacent. The queen-size bedroom is next to the bathroom downstairs, adjacent to the pond with a glass facade and sliding doors to the staircase and bathroom. It's a very special junior room, with deer walking by the glass facade a few feet from the bed. You can watch ducks, herons, muskrats and other wildlife straight from bed, you will not be disappointed with the summer soundscape of this idyllic spot. The house comes with central A/C, an open floor plan, large architectural windows with sun light flooding in. If you travel with a child we can provide high-chair, crib, stair gate, baby bathtub upon request. The Pond House is on the same property as the Cottage House, see last photo for aerial view and http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/284669. The grounds and pond surrounding the Pond House are reserved for the Pond House. The Pond House feels very private, since two sides of the property are bordering preserves.
Idyllic, secluded setting bordering a public preserve, in short walking distance to the center of Woodstock. Two rental houses are separated by the main house, facing away from each other ensuring privacy. No other house is visible from inside the Pond House with its own designated back yard facing the pond. The swim hole is shared with the Carriage House, with a second, larger swim hole a short stroll through the woods away. An outdoor day bed overviews the legendary Indian Head mountain ridge.
  • Nice chill spot. Big property smack in the middle of nature with a stream was a plus.

    Ryan2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous space and exceptional views. Loved all the unique pieces in the home. Bring an eye mask since there are no blinds/shades. We enjoyed our stay for our first trip with our infant daughter. Quick drive to town - we liked R&R tap room, Dixon roadside and bread alone. Check in was super easy. Wish check out was past 10am but other than that all was well. I’ve already shared the Airbnb link with so many of our friends.

  • We had a lovely stay. While laying in bed at night we could see the stars and in the morning we overlooked the pond. Really felt open and free in the space. Make sure your not shy though because even when your in the bathroom it’s floor to ceiling windows!

  • Paula's cottage is a lovely space for a nice getaway. It's a charming home and provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is great - a nice short walk to the main streets with restaurants, bars, and shopping. I highly recommend.

    Jason2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Paula's place is EXCEPTIONALLY clean and I feel like that in itself makes this worth a 5 star rating. It is also decorated very tastefully and gives off such a zen vibe with all the little details. We came from the city to get away from the craziness but also as city dwellers we needed to be near things ..this was the most perfect balance of the two, being right near tinker street without feeling like you're near anything.

    Katerina2020-02-15T00:00:00Z

The Space Experience an authentic bohemian Woodstock handmade house from the 60's, updated and modernized. Tucked away in the woods, yet minutes to town, you will enjoy both privacy and convenience while being in nature. Come relax in privacy and enjoy cocktails on your deck overlooking the forest. Wake up to the sound of birds and unwind in the soaking tub in your spacious bathroom. Take a walk down the country road...serenity and tranquility await you.
The History My father hand-built the house with stone and wood from the property in the early '60's. After serving in WW II, he studied art in Paris and then moved back to NYC where he became part of the No Art! Movement, and taught at the Art Student League. In the 70's, he escaped from NYC and moved my family upstate to live and continue his artistic endeavors. Growing up in Woodstock, it was natural for me to carry on the family tradition of artisan crafts. I have since maintained the unique character of his original efforts while renovating and modernizing the property. The house and the apartment showcase my father's character as well as unique pieces of his work and those of his contemporaries. Come and experience a taste of the real Woodstock.
  • Benjamin's place is an awesome stay in a more than convenient location to Woodstock and the surrounding areas. We came from NYC to escape for the weekend and were not disappointed! I didn't want to get off the porch all night looking up at the bright stars in the night sky. Thank you for the stay!

    Sarah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place to stay for a quiet retreat. The place is very clean and is just as described. It is minutes from downtown Woodstock and minutes from a great hiking location.

    Jennifer2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Benjamin's cute, homey apartment in Woodstock. The location was prime, privacy from neighbors in the middle of the woods (we had some fun watching the chipmunks and a deer roaming in the backyard), yet only a 5-7 minute drive to downtown. Self check in/check out was super easy and Benjamin was there to assist and answer any questions we had and had great recommendations for things to do in the area. The bed was very, very comfy and we each enjoyed taking a hot bath in the soaking tub after a long winter hike in the Catskills. The one negative thing is that the mini fridge is a little finicky and didn't keep our leftovers very well, but all the other amenities made up for it (he even had contact solution there). Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, tranquil getaway from the city!

    Brenna2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute, tidy place. Good coffee, nice bathroom, easy parking. Good communication from host. Shoveled our cars off after a big snowstorm

    Colin2020-01-19T00:00:00Z

  • It was very easy to check-in. Benjamin thought of a lot of small details that made the stay seamless, like Keurig cups and mugs. It was simple, clean and elegant. Easy access to the main restaurants in the city and surrounding hiking trails.

    Nick2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, this place is gorgeous! My partner and I were so happy with how clean and organized everything was here. Not to mention it's just a 5 min drive to town! Quite possibly the best airbnb I've stayed at for the best value -- a stylish, minimalist space tucked away in the beautiful woods of Woodstock. Everything we needed was provided for us at Benjamin's place -- including some good tea when my partner was feeling sick, thank you! -- and we will definitely be back here for our next visit :)

    Julianna2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Martin was a great host who made sure we were all set. The space is a perfect little throwback to the 70s in Woodstock at a great price. Highly recommend!

    Sarah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent space. Dog friendly! The furthest part of town was maybe a 20 minute walk. Everything, including the hosts, were very accessible. Had a few questions and they responded within minutes. This place is perfect for a nice quiet getaway, but at the same time, a 10 minute walk will get you to the heart of the action. Would recommend this space for sure.

    Chris2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot for the price in Woodstock. Walking distance to most everything in town. Not a far drive from many hikes and parks. It’s a fairly priced spot and it was all we needed. Being dog friendly was a big plus, so we could bring our little one! Thanks for a great stay.

An enchanted cottage with king-size bed, cathedral ceiling & everything you need for a rejuvenating stay in the heart of Woodstock Village. Savor the peace of nature, then step out into everything that makes Woodstock the perfect weekend getaway.
The cottage has a lovely feel to it, as if suddenly you were in a different world. Enchanted is not too strong a word. It is adjacent to our house, but completely private and remarkably quiet even though you can't get much closer to "downtown" Woodstock. It's perfect for a romantic weekend with strolls through the village's galleries and unique shops, stops at good coffee places, and dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants. There is plenty here to keep you occupied for several days, and longer if you go further afield! Please note that the kitchen is not designed for large-scale cooking! Here is what it contains: a coffeemaker, a toaster oven, a microwave, a hot plate and kettle, and a refrigerator. Plus counter space and a large sink. There are dishes. It works great for tea, coffee and light fare.
Woodstock has been a home to artists for over 100 years. It is a small, artsy village nestled in the Catskill mountains. So we have the beauty of nature and the beauty of the arts, all in one. Our home is steps away from the center of the village, yet set back from the road so there is an atmosphere here of quiet and seclusion.
  • Marta and Fred’s was a lovely little cabin — so sunny and bright, lots of air flow, and a cute cut-out skylight we didn’t know about. Fun book offerings and local sustainable soaps and hygiene products made for a thoughtful and cozy stay, just minutes-worth walking distance from everything in Woodstock town. Technically right next door to another home, but still felt private and was very peaceful. We’d stay here again!

    Chelsea2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location in Woodstock, bright airy, cheerful studio in walking distance to many shops and restaurants

    Cindy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It's a comfortable and bright space near the center of Woodstock, well-suited to travellers and travelling writers. I'll be happy to stay there again any time.

  • We absolutely loved our stay in the cottage. It’s the perfect amount of space, has everything you need and we even had a muffin for each of us waiting in the kitchen. We truly enjoyed our little getaway and we owe a big part of it to this space. Highly recommend!

    Kenzie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • The yellow cottage is perfectly situated with everything you need for a pleasant stay in Woodstock. Clean, comfortable and cheerful!

    Jennifer2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Marta’s place was exactly as advertised. Communication with her was very easy, the place was clean and comfortable, and the muffins were delicious! Would definitely stay here again.

    Emma2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Marta’s place is perfectly situated in the heart of Woodstock. It is a cute and quaint space that is on a main road but, quiet enough for you to feel like you are in nature. Everything is within walking distance, shops, eateries, ice cream parlors etc. Marta also provides little goodies such as muffins, milk, eco friendly toiletries and very nice bedding. The space was perfect for two people and had everything needed to feel right at home. Will stay again!

    Natalie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Marta’s cottage was great. It’s right in town, yet very quiet. It’s very easy to get to everything on foot. It’s also conveniently located across the street from The Station, one of our favorite local bars. I woke up the next day with a pounding headache, but that’s my own fault and had nothing to do with her cottage. We’ll definitely be back!

Charming newly renovated cabin in the woods. Full kitchen & bath & wraparound deck. Brand new sofa bed w/REALLY comfortable mattress. Up the hill from Bearsville Theater, Bear Cafe, Commune & Little Bear Chinese restaurants; just down the hill from the Byrdcliffe barn & theater. Five minutes by car to center of town. Peaceful & quiet, with easy access to any Woodstock offering that strikes your fancy--music, art, shopping, hiking, swimming, drumming, meditation--or just hanging out on the deck.
Our cabin is all newly renovated, with full kitchen and bath and large wraparound deck. We are in the woods, where it is peaceful and quiet and is home to deer, raccoons, wild turkey, birds, squirrels and chipmunks, peepers, and even the occasional bear. With all this we are only minutes away from restaurants, theaters and shopping, hiking and swimming, and Tibetan monastery. Going further afield, there are many other towns to explore in this area, including antiquing centers (Hudson); as well as historic homes (FDR's Hyde Park, for one); the early government buildings in Kingston (the first capital of NY State); the old stone houses on Huguenot Street in New Paltz, beautiful Bard College Campus with its wonderful concerts and performances; Hunter and Tannersville, with their ski slopes and chair lifts; beautiful North Lake State Park, with its two large swimming and boating lakes and spectacular vistas; and nearby dramatic Haines Falls.

  • A very beautiful guest house adjacent to the main house. The place was sparkling clean and charming with great interior design and comfy wrap around deck with cute little wooden bridge. Even though we showed up right after the snowfall and the hosts were not on property drive way and parking space were well plowed so that we did not have an issue getting in or out. Location is a fairly short drive from local stores and major Catskills through ways which makes it available to use as a short weekend retreat as well as a base for skiing trips. Overall loved the place and will definitely recommend it.

    Mikhail2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • My fiance and I really enjoyed our winter stay in Susan's cabin. Very warm and comfy. Great location, able to get seclusion but at the same time be only a few minutes away from the main area in Woodstock with shops and great places to eat. Susan was very responsive and great host. Definitely recommend this place if looking for a upstate New York getaway.

    Sean2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's cabin was super cozy and clean, with all the simple necessities. We had fun cooking in the well-stocked kitchen, and the deck space was incredibly peaceful. The location is great as well, it feels secluded, but is only a five minute drive to town, the grocery store, restaurants, etc.

    Masha2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • The location is perfect and the cabin in beautiful.

    Jessica2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was very kind and made checking in very easy. Her little cabin was a nice place to get away for the weekend!

    Elizabeth2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to get away from it all.

    Alex2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's place is amazing. If light is important to you, definitely book here. It's a BEAUTIFUL space; the photos don't do it justice honestly. You'll be very comfortable here. Service is extremely spotty so bring a good book and be ready to cozy up. We cooked every meal, baked cookies, and spent wonderful time together at Susan's cabin. Susan was very accommodating of my girlfriend and me. We even left something very important behind and Susan helped us coordinate a pickup. If you're planning on cooking a lot of your meals, you may need to bring some things up with you. There is a natural foods store 5 minutes away that has all seasonings in bulk (which was INCREDIBLE as you just need to buy what you need) but make sure you bring some tupperware or storage for your leftovers. We had to get creative :) Hot great water pressure, beautiful windows that let in a ton of natural light, the SOFTEST sheets, a great little porch on which to enjoy your coffee.. This is an amazing space for some time in a place that is remote but not too remote. Thanks so much Susan! We will be back!

    Kelly2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely location, close to town but in the woods. It's too beautiful to work there, so it's not a big deal that the internet is spotty. Susan is a gracious host.

Historic Byrdcliffe artist's retreat. As part of the original Byrdcliffe Arts Colony est. in 1902 ... it is located on Guardian Mountain in the middle of Woodstock and has been a wildlife preserve for over 100 years. Peace, quiet and creativity in the Heart of the Catskills. Breathe fresh air & see the stars. Perfect for nature lovers, artists and hikers. Everyone is welcome!
There are 3 bedrooms located in a guest suite attached to the main house with its own entrances, patio and grounds. There is a bath, seasonal out door shower, and a room for tea, coffee and snacks ... tho' there is no kitchen! I book only one party at a time so that guests can have their privacy. Ideal for couples or travelers needing their own rooms. The entire area is filled with hiking trails and you can walk the two miles to town.
Situated in the center of the Byrdcliffe Art Colony & Preserve ... there are art classes, a theater and the Byrdcliffe Barn where events are held throughout the year. We are close to town and in the middle of Nature at the same time.
  • Gillian is a wonderful host. The place is cozily located in the woods a short drive to Woodstock and to numerous great walking trails.

    Sharon2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay. My boyfriend and I loved the little stone sitting area in the apartment, it was really cozy and warm and we had a great time drinking wine and playing cards after playing out in the snow in the surrounding property for a few hours. Gillian is very kind but not overbearing-- you really feel like you have the place to yourself. It was the perfect weekend escape from the city, and the town is very cute as well! Made me dream of moving!

    Katrina2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Charming spot up in the trees and down a private dirt road. Had to use imagination given my visit in winter to picture the charm in warmer season but the private yard space is lovely and the being out of town aspect also very nice. Place meanders through multiple rooms. Seems like would be ideal for a small group of travelers and friends.

    Ellen2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

Charming studio cottage in the woods, walking distance to the center of Woodstock, NY. Light-filled cottage is privately set up a tree-lined drive with a stone pathway leading to the front door. Cook in your own kitchen or use the charcoal grill.
The Woodstock Cottage was built by a Woodstock artist 75 years ago, and has been thoughtfully renovated by a local architect. This is the perfect retreat setting for a writer, musician, artist, or other creative type who is looking for privacy, yet not total seclusion. Sleeps 1 to 2 people, or a couple or single parent with a child. Cottage has sleeping loft and a brand new (Dec 2014), extremely comfortable sofa-bed. Year round rates: $150/night .. $700/week .. $2000/month Please note there is a 2 night minimum, unless it is very short notice. Holiday weekends have a 3 night minimum.
We love walking to town along the blue stone sidewalk the Woodstock Volunteers built a few years ago. We like checking out the shops - it seems new ones are popping up all the time (Pacama Handmade is new and great for understated, modern, hand-thrown pottery. Shop Little House has adorable vintage items. And don't miss our independent Golden Notebook for new books.) In the warmer months we get in line at Aba's Falafel at the Farmer's Market, or we eat outside on one of Woodstock's many patios (the Garden Cafe has a great outdoor dining space). In the coldest months, we walk through the snow and treat ourselves to breakfast at Oriole 9.
  • Jennifer cottage is perfect for short gateway. Place was close to town and it was sparkling clean. Communication with the host was perfect. Thank you

  • Please don't stay here! The more time you book the less availability there will be when I want to return. And I do. Often. All the wonderful things others have written are true. The hosts are cool and the place is great in every way - functionally, aesthetically, location-ally. Spotless. Idyllic. Thoughtfully arranged. A respite.

    Larry2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I adored this little cottage! It was so quaint and relaxing. It’s also in a great location... close to town but still distant enough that we had our privacy. And we were so happy to see wildlife every morning!! We’d love to come back.

    Taylor2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy little cottage just a minute's drive to Woodstock central. Jennifer made us feel very welcome with tiny touches like a guide book with menus and places to visit, games, movies and even a musical instrument! Temperatures were in the low 20s, so when we finally arrived, we were wonderfully delighted to find a nice toasty cottage to escape the cold.

    Rebecca2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying here. The place was nice and cozy. It was very relaxing. Jennifer made everything easy for us.

    Jeremy2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancee and I stayed at Jennifer's cottage for the weekend. We were visiting Woodstock from the city to see a show at Levon Helm Studios and were looking for a quiet place just outside town. This cottage exceeded all our expectations! It is a tiny space, but absolutely PERFECT for 1-2 people. We had so much fun playing games and watching movies while we were home and the drive to town was around 3-5min. We loved that it was so close to town while still being a bit removed and off the beaten path. Sleeping in the loft space was fun and the sheets and mattress were very comfortable. It is a small space, but it didn't bother us! Everything in the cottage was clean, we had everything we needed, and would definitely come back again! Thank you for being such a wonderful host, Jennifer!

    Nicole2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here, it is the perfect get away from the city (only 2 hour drive) and Jennifer made the check-in and parking process seamless. We loved the cozy cabin, with all of its details (from the sound system and iPhone adaptor to the awesome selection of board games and DVDs). The cabin was very clean and it was easy to cook, relax in the space, and also drive into town. Jennifer's local recommendations were awesome and we enjoyed our weekend in Woodstock! Thank you Jennifer!

    Maggie2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy and clean, this is a light filled space with a comfy loft bed. The kitchen was a pleasure to use, and nearby hikes and Woodstock walks made the trip special. Easy check in and good communication. Thanks!

  • I loved my stay at the Waterfall Cabin at the Woodstock Way Hotel. This cabin is the best fit for a solo trip to unplug or a romantic getaway. It was the perfect combination of feeling remote while providing access to all the most important hotel amenities. Their staff is lovely & attentive, I loved the complimentary coffee & tea bar every morning, and the surrounding town is truly charming. Pro tip: grab brunch at ShinDig (same owners) for the most delicious pancakes you’ve ever tasted. Fabulous stay! I’ll definitely be back.

    Erin2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a fun stay at the waterfall cabin! Beautiful setting with the waterfall views and colorful trees. The cabin was so cozy. We loved the wood-burning fireplace each night, and it was nice to walk up to the lodge and get hot coffees in the morning. It’s a 2 minute walk to town, where there are cute restaurants, shops, galleries, and markets to explore. We would definitely come here again!

The Overlook trail just 5 minute drive away was breathtaking and a dip in the hot tub followed by sitting by the fire made for the most relaxing ending to the day. Our host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Highly recommended!

  • This was a fantastic place for our long Thanksgiving weekend in the Catskills. Location was perfect, close to Woodstock village, hiking and some access to the rest of the region ( Overlook and Opus 40 the highlights) . The house itself was set up well for it family of four. The combination of the pool table, hot tub, vinyl collection and sauna meant everyone was happy. We cooked for 9 one night and the kitchen was well supplied with dishes and pots to handle it. Host was amazingly attentive at all states including a minor technical problem. Would definitely stay here again.

  • This place is perfect for a getaway! Martin is super nice and accommodating and greeted us at the door. Would totally recommend staying here if you are stopping by! Perfect for me and my parents and enough room to feel cozy and safe. Didn’t get to use the fire place but it was setup for us!

    Gloria2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to stay! This was my second time staying in Martin and Erin’s Airbnb and it was even better than last time. Easy to get around town. Very clean and spacious. Bed was super comfy felt like a cloud after hiking local all day. Would recommend to everyone!!!

    Melissa2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place is at a perfect location in the city—a very short walk (maybe 7 minutes) from the downtown area, is very spacious and quiet, and is a great value for money. The fact that Martin and Erin provide for bikes to and allow access to the fire pit, is a major bonus. We very much enjoyed the fireplace inside during our stay in the middle of February!

    Saurabh2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the Bohemian Rhapsody! Martin and Erin were extremely friendly and welcoming. We love visiting Woodstock and this place is conveniently located just tucked away in the middle of town. The house is very cozy and vintage. We had a great experience, thank you!

  • This is the perfect getaway for anyone! It’s close to everything. They give great tips about things to do in town. The wood stove is great perk for the winter time. You will definitely enjoy your stay here.

    Robert2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Really wonderful apartment, can’t recommend it highly enough! The location is about 5-10 minutes from the heart of Woodstock; it’s super quiet and private and is a wonderful place to just sit outside and look at the stars. Highlights include the fireplace, amazon prime/Netflix compatible TV, and complimentary coffee. Martin and Erin are great hosts and very responsive, I would stay here again in the future for sure!

  • Couldn’t have possibly found a better space for my boyfriend and I’s winter weekend getaway. The wood burning stove was great for taking off any chill, and the electric heat kept the place cozy as well. Sweet decor, a mix of vintage, antique, and modern. The tub was lovely and large. Bed was so comfortable and the day bed is dangerous! We would lay down a moment and end up napping! Martin was great-we pulled into the driveway at the same time arriving and he was so welcoming, had firewood and kindling for us, and had tons of tips for places to go nearby for food and drinks. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone for sure and would love to come back.

White house surrounded by forest on the edge of Bearsville. Up a long, winding driveway, to a secluded clearing lies Ophelia. A magical house with an open floor plan, cathedral ceilings and over 40 windows looking out onto an unspoiled landscape.
This is a classic "Woodstock" house, on the edge of Bearsville, once used as an artist studio, with a big north facing picture window in the great room that provides a stunning view of the forest surrounding the house. The house is 2,000 sq. ft. and each room in the house has it's own unique character. There are two sitting rooms for spreading out. The cozy den houses the TV and is great for hosting movie nights. The sun room is surrounded by windows and is the best room in house for diving into a book or taking a nap. As with many houses in Woodstock, Ophelia has it's share of history. A previous owner was the manager for The Band, the seminal rock group that formed in Woodstock in the late 1960's. The photoshoot for their album Stage Fright (Norman Seeff photographer), took place in the den. The image which became a wrap around poster covering the album, is a recognizable piece classic of rock history. The house borders the old Albert Grossman property and word has it that artists and musicians from Dylan to Ginsburg to Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters spent time on the property. The house recently went through a gut renovation and features a professional chef's kitchen and a large comfortable bathroom with a soaking tub. Both bedrooms have picture windows looking out into the woods and skylights where you can look at the stars while falling asleep. There is a King Size Keetsa bed in the master bedroom and a Queen Size bed in the guest bedroom. There are 2 additional mattresses that can be set up in the Den which features french doors that close, making it a private 3rd bedroom for a 5th and 6th guest. A flagstone deck has been added recently that looks out onto the firepit. A hammock and several Adirondack chairs dot the property. Watch movies on the 55" flat panel in the den, or lay on the sofa in the sun room and watch the deer wander across the yard. Consider renting if your looking for a secluded, private getaway on a gorgeous piece of property.
Woodstock, also known as the most famous small town in America, and its surrounding villages in the Catskills are simply one of most beautiful areas in the entire country. Visiting for a weekend or a week should be on everyone's bucket list. Book well in advance for the Midnight Ramble, a local gathering of world class musicians and take part in the weekend drum circles in the center of town (drum rentals are available starting in the early afternoon). Also check out the Buddhist Monastery which overlooks the town high up in the hills. The Dalai Lama visits when he comes to the US and it's a very special and spiritual place to experience.
  • This was our second time at Robert's home and it was even better than the first! Amazing location, right in the heart of Woodstock but still tucked away so it's private and relaxing. Would not hesitate to recommend!

    Amy & Brian2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Robert's place is quite amazing -- relaxing, tranquil and beautiful. It's quite close to the Woodstock center, but still manages to feel blissfully removed. I'd highly recommend if for a weekend getaway.

  • This was by far one of my favorite places to stay. The home is beautiful and comfortable and the location can't be beat.

  • What can I say? Best house in Woodstock!

    Juliet2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This house is cozy and close to town. I don’t do a lot of repeat visits on Airbnb because it’s always fun to try new places, but I would definitely rent this house again! Great kitchen too.

    Courtney2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Best AirBnB experience ever!!! Book it! You won’t be disappointed! Beautiful house with nice touches. Plenty of space for one or two couples. Very secluded yet only a short drive to town. Robert has done a really nice job at making it feel like a home and not a hotel. We stayed in winter and the heating kept the place nice and toasty. Great place to read a book, write a song, or contemplate whatever existential crisis you’re going through.

We offer a private studio apartment located on the first floor of this wonderfully restored 2 unit carriage house, built in the early roarin' 20's! It offers a blend of modern decor and amenities, with more traditional countryside accents. The design, using the original carriage doors in the architecture, allows light to pour through the apartment, while making adjustments for sleeping in easy. This truly unique space is a perfect place to take a weekend to relax, and even enjoy our grounds!
  • This listing is perfect for a weekend escape from the city! Easy check in, great location, cute apartment. Would definitely recommend!

  • A great little apartment in Woodstock.

    Allie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This guest house is really nice and conveniently close to Woodstock - we stayed in the bottom suite. Emy was very accommodating with a late check out and having an extra guest. The only thing worth mentioning is to bring earplugs (which Emy keeps in the bathroom for guests!) if you are a light sleeper as you can hear the upstairs neighbors pretty well.

It’s well appointed and feels super spacious considering it’s smaller size. The bathroom is beautiful and the hot tub rocks! Alex & Kara were terrific hosts. We look forward to staying here again soon!

  • This place is adorable and very clean! We had an amazing stay. Alex is very friendly and gave us some great tips on local hiking spots and food. He even offered us breakfast one morning! The place itself is very cozy, with thoughtful touches including robes and slippers. It’s peaceful and you can hear the stream from the room. The hot tub was very relaxing as well. Great spot!

  • Really great place! The location is super close to Tinker Street and other fun landmarks! Very quick responses to any questions we had. Loved that they thought of little details. Bathrobes, slippers, and towels for the hot tub. The coffee maker is amazing! The diffuser left the space smelling great! Super warm and cozy! Loved being able to wake up and hear the running water right outside! Will definitely come back!

  • The cabin was everything my partner and I wanted and more. Super romantic, very well kept, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Alex and Kara were phenomenal hosts and quick to respond our every query. You guys, they made us blueberry pancakes! I almost wept, they were that good! And just such a sweet gesture. We took the train in from the city and were successfully able to Uber/Lyft around Woodstock without any problems. We’re looking forward to visiting again.

  • What a beautiful, secluded, healing nook in the Woodstock artist community! The pool/sauna/hot tub access was a great bonus to relax and unwind. We appreciate all of the decorative touches and the overall peaceful atmosphere. Lio was very responsive whenever we needed anything & there was ample access to coffee, food & wine/beer just a few steps outside. The Indian food up the street (Mountain Gate) was absolutely stellar, we eat a lot of Indian food back home & were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant’s flavors. We’ll be back to this wonderful shangri-la as well as to hike up the the monastery near by. We highly recommend it to any folks who are looking for a nice, peaceful reset.

  • What a super cool place, relaxing and hidden away yet near all the loveliness that downtown Woodstock has to offer. We had an easy check in and a stay that was private and full of solitude - but someone was always around if we needed anything. But we didn't - everything we could ask for was already there, and all we had to to was relax and rest. A little piece of paradise in the Catskills. Thank you Lio and Sharon!!

Long-term stays only during COVID-19. We are trying to give people peace of mind in this turmoil. House cleaned with bleach solution as per CDC recommendations. Come enjoy the calming influence of nature! The outdoors allows for plenty of social distancing up here :)
All guests welcome, but if you're coming from NYC or another area with high levels of infection, please self-quarantine for 14 days (as per governmental recommendations). We all need to join together and play a role in stemming the tide of the virus and protecting our families and community. Plenty of food and supplies in stores here. W/D available only during this time. There's a grocery store just a few stone's throws from the house. Bearsville Classic Historically a haven for a few famous musicians, writers and aritsts. Jack Kerouac, Ginsberg, Burroughs... all spent time here. There is a good chance The Band also frequented the house. • 100 years old, but newly renovated • On 3 wooded acres • Big fireplace • 20 foot ceiling • Nest Radiant Heating System • Clawfoot tub with a view • Charcoal BBQ • Firepit • hammock • Restaurants + grocery store walking distance • No pets I don’t really get why certain spaces make you feel a certain way, but the spirit of this house got me the minute I walked in. It has been a gathering place for artists from the time it was built back in 1912. Each owner was an artist. Many accomplished and well-known. As far as we can tell, the original owners were 2 women. One a writer, the other an illustrator. Together they made children's books. Next a young NY couple who summered here for over 40 years. She was a concert pianist and played at Maverick. They named the place Treblecliffe (an hommage to the artist's colony Byrdcliffe). They put up the treble clef hook in the bathroom which is still there over 75 years later. I spent a good hour on the phone their daughter (now 85). She practiced the cello in the studio (now collapsed but slated to be rebuilt). The couple who lived here next were beatniks. The husband was the printer in Jack Karouac's book "The Subterraneans". He was a painter, poet and musician. He also owned a print shop on 8th street in NYC close to the White Horse. Karouac had dinners here as did Allen Ginsberg and William S. Boroughs. They were also friends with Bob Dylan who likely spent time here. His manager, Albert Grossman, owned almost all of the surrounding property. When I got the house, no one had lived in it for over 10 years. There were holes in the roof. Vegetation was taking over. Woodland friends had moved in. There were a few bits of furniture, and personal items left behind. Anything that wasn't too damaged has been salvaged and reused or re-purposed. Maps on the wall, a few portraits, baskets, carvings, figurines, classical LPs... Also the piano stool is here to honor the musicians. Last little bit that might be of interest: there is a mural on the shed outside. It is an abstract of the Ashokan reservoir. It is over 60 years old, and we are planning to have it restored in the fall. The space itself is inspiring. Serene. Calming. So many windows letting in soft, natural light. The house is surrounded by tall pines, oaks, willows, hemlocks, birch and beach trees. The main space has a 20 foot ceiling. It's lofty, airy, and wonderful. The bathrooms are brand new and pristine. Hand made tiles and marble counters on a 1920s table in the one bathroom. All new appliances. The marble countertop in the kitchen is antique and came out of a bakery in Saratoga. The timbers making up the counter were salvaged from a collapsed studio on the property. The main bath and kitchen have heated floors which is just amazing in the winter. The fireplace is magical with the original swing arm and the owl andirons. If you're here for summer months, there's ample AC to keep you nice and cool and there's a firepit and BBQ outside. The old claw foot tub has been reglazed and moved to the loft window where you can relax and look out at the forest. There's also an outdoor shower if you like to get clean in the outdoors. Look up, see the trees and the sky as you rinse your hair. You will likely see a fair amount of wild life. Deer, chipmunks and red squirrel are very common. Black bear in season. I've also seen wild turkeys and it is a great place for bird watching.
  • Nice quiet location with a quick drive into town. Great communication from host. Kitchen well stocked for cooking.

  • A great base for staying in Woodstock. The Cabin is stylish and cosy. The central heating works very well and the views into the woods are lovely.

    Jane2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect getaway from NYC. We were relaxed and cozy the entire time. We loved building a fire every day! Annie was an excellent host and checked in multiple times to be sure we settled and that everything was going well. We will definitely return to the cabin again in the future.

    Hannah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, clean, valid

    Bryan2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. What can I say. The cabin is rustic and high-end (heated floors in the kitchen and bathroom!) It’s the ideal space to get away from life - either in a retreat or just to cook with friends. I can’t say enough. I cozied up in the loft, took a bath in the claw foot tub, and meditated by the fire. Feel lucky to have experienced that space.

    Zoe2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Annie's cabin was great! My wife and my friends (another couple) enjoyed cozying up by the fire, drinking wine, and being so close to the town of Woodstock! The cabin was very clean, and you felt like you were in the middle of the woods which was a great detachment from the day to day. Annie was great at communicating every step of the way, and I would recommend anyone thinking about going up to the Catskills to stay at the cabin. Thanks for a great stay!

    Benjamin2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Annie's cabin is an awesome getaway that really encapsulates the feel of the Catskills. We had a great time lazing around the cabin with the fireplace on while reading, cooking, and drinking. It was extremely cozy and comfortable for our group of four without feeling like we were ever on top of each other. The history of the structure itself adds a lot to the Woodstock feel of time spent there and we feel lucky we got to experience it. Just a few minutes' drive outside of downtown Woodstock, it feels remote while actually being in a prime location for going out to eat or heading to nearby trailheads. The guidebook Annie provided along with the booking was great for getting some tips on places I had never been despite numerous previous trips to the area. Overall, an amazing weekend trip that we'd love to repeat!

  • We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Theas’ place. We were a group of 5 looking for a quiet getaway where we could reconnect and relax and Woodstock was the perfect place. We spent the day walking around town, visiting shops, and eating and drinking our way through the great bars and restaurants. Theas’ home is gorgeous and filled with amazing décor—we kept saying that we couldn’t wait until we had a home like this one day! Although we only stayed two nights it was a well-needed experience. The sun room and neighboring goats were our favorite parts!

    Caroline2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The place has a lot of character: the sun room is gorgeous, the living room with hundreds of books feels like in the movies. It’s a very close walk to Tinker street shops and cafes. We had a wonderful time staying in Thea’s cozy place!

    Dina2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay when trying to escape the city life. Thea pretty much has any amenity you could think of in her house. The fire place adds a great romantic touch and will be sure to stay again. Easy 40 min drive to hunter mountain

    Stephen2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Thea's house is lovely. Although there's only one official bedroom, it's larger than we expected, and more space than we needed for two people. It's well decorated and incredibly comfortable. If you are looking for an airbnb that feels like a hotel, this is not the place, Thea has not cleared out the house for guests. But we really preferred that this was clearly someone's actual home, not a soul-less investment property. We would love to stay there again!

    Nicolette2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A truly charming cottage-style home only minutes from the center of Woodstock! I loved how surprisingly big the house was (way bigger than any other Airbnb I've stayed in, for a similar price) as well as the unique vintage touches everywhere. The working fireplace is perfect for the winter too!

    Laura2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

  • This entire property and hotel is incredible! So much so, I even stayed an extra night. If you like places that are relaxing, have awesome amenities, and a high attention to detail, this is the place for you! Listening to the crickets at night and waking up to the beautiful stream was just icing on top. 10/10!!

  • Cool stylish space. Super clean and a fun spot to stay in that’s walking distance to downtown restaurants

    Laura2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location...you are mere feet from the heart of the town yet you can kick back and listen to the sounds of the water fall. We felt like we were in a cabin in the woods yet we could walk anywhere we wanted to go in town. Comfy bed and delicious coffee too. Thanks for a great stay. We will definitely be back.

    Karen2019-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed! We had so much fun, even with the polar vortex and foot of snow. I cannot wait to come back, the room was so beautiful, the location perfect, the view was truly stunning.

    Eliza2019-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Woodstock Way is a very special place. It is comfortable, quaint, beautiful and hosted by very kind and helpful people. You are surrounded by nature and even though you are steps away from town, when you step into the cabin you feel miles away. We will certainly be coming back especially because they are dog friendly!

    Andrea2019-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • The Lone Wolf was just what we were looking for. It was somehow located in a perfectly quiet spot and just around the corner from town. During our 3-day stay, we left the car parked- walking to a beautiful swimming hole, many lovely and delicious restaurants, a charming small hike along the river, and a stream for reading just out of our back door. And the The Lone Wolf owners were full of help and suggestions. We could not have hoped for a better stay.

    Megan2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at the Lone Wolf Cabin! It was a private retreat, but very centrally located near the center of town. The best of both worlds.

Overlooking the Woodstock village center, this antique hotel has 148 years of history and charm. From the front steps you will feel the same energy that travelers have felt since President Ulysses S. Grant visited Woodstock in 1872. This room 3C is a 1 bedroom apartment. There is a full kitchen and a private bath. You do not need a car! The Trailways bus from NYC stops directly across the street, and walk to everything in the village.
  • What a cozy place! We’ve stayed here twice now and loved it both times. The rooms are small, but great for a couple or people who don’t mind being in close quarters. The location is perfect, so easy to walk around town and quick drives to fun little excursions. We recommend turning the heat down at night because the old heaters can get pretty toasty. We also loved eating at Shindig - very friendly staff, delicious food, and reasonable prices. We’ll be back for sure!!

  • Hotel Woodstock is definitely the place to stay if you want to be in Woodstock town proper. I try to visit Woodstock every February and I will be looking to Hotel Woodstock for my future visits.

This is a heavily renovated old home with fun quirks that will attract those who appreciate quality craftsman design. Our place is on 2 acres of land, close to the center of Woodstock. You can walk from the NYC bus stop to the home in 12 min, drive to the nearest mountain hiking trail in 3 min, and drive to the town swimming hole in 5 min! You get the best of rural and small town living at our home. We are in walking distance to all the best bars and restaurants Woodstock has to offer.
The house is about 125 years old and just recently underwent a major renovation with over 90% of the house being updated. If you like craftsman detail, then you'll love our house! We have over 2,400 sqft of interior space and over 600 sqft of deck space with a 6 seat hot tub for you to enjoy. We have 3 second floor bedrooms and a converted attic with 2 bedrooms for you to use. The 2 attic bedrooms and 2 of the three bedrooms on the second floor all have AC units. The only bedroom that lacks AC is the one with the twin sized bed. Please give us the correct headcount because the third floor will be locked and unheated/cooled when not in use. Also, I know the mobile app doesn't make bed type/location clear. The house has 1 King bed in the master bedroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The third bedroom has a twin bed. The attic has 2 overflow bedrooms we use for groups. One bedroom has a king bed and the other has 2 queens and a futon.
The house sits on 2 acres in a neighborhood bordering the downtown area of Woodstock. This neighborhood sits at the base of the catskill mountain range. You'll be minutes from the nearest hiking trails but still in the area that has all the comforts of civilization. The property/neighborhood is not remote which means I still have 4g Verizon service, city water and reliable power but it is quite and very rural.
  • This house is amazing! It’s affordable, about a 15 min walk into town, the host is very communicative, and it’s such a cozy and inviting place to get out of the city and relax. We had an absolute blast, and would 100% stay here again! The hot tub is a plus, the little reading nook is adorable, and the decor is beautiful.

    Ashley2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in this beautiful home for a girls weekend getaway. There were seven of us, and this beautiful home had plenty of room for all of us. We loved everything about this home. Close proximity to town, beautiful details, spacious rooms to spread out in, hot tubbing in the snow, updated everything. It was a lovely place, lovely hosts!

    Tiana2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous home with literally everything you need and more! My friends and I had a wonderful weekend getaway in Woodstock and wanted for nothing while relaxing at adam’s home. We were all so impressed with the decor and layout of the house! You will absolutely enjoy your stay here especially the awesome color changing hot tub! 😀

    Aimee2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful house very close to town that was everything we could have hoped for. I'm very familiar with the area and this provides great value compared to what else is out there.

    Kevin2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Such a dreamy place, owned by two fabulous people. I’m almost reluctant to give it a good review because then it will get booked up and we won’t be able to stay there again.

    Richard2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at Michael and Adam's place, it was the perfect house for our big group of friends. They were super helpful and quick to respond to our questions, and the house looked even better in person. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking a big Thanksgiving dinner, and warm and cosy for escaping the cold outside. Would 100% stay here again, especially once the new hot tub is installed!!

    Paul2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful house tucked away in Woodstock, close enough to everything you need. Adam gave great local tips, and I had everything I needed to refer to in my messages. The house was super stylish and had all amenities. Very comfortable for 8 people. And the indoor fireplace was amazing!!

    Victoria2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful house in great location. Super comfy inside and beautifully decorated. Host was super helpful and responsive. The local tips were great too. Thanks so much!

Excellent for couples and solo adventurers, leaf peepers and walking distance distance to the heart of town where you can enjoy culture, shopping and some great restaurants. Beautiful skiing within 35 minutes to an hour away.
This apartment is spacious with beautiful light, hard wood floors and high ceilings. The mezzanine/yoga room has a set of comfy futon chairs which convert into a single bed. The room is carpeted and could easily accommodate an additional guest on an air mattress or sleeping bag. Our house was built in the 1920's and has recently been a full time family residence. • We had a great time staying at Gillian’s place! We saw a show at Levon Helm Studios, which is just about a 10 minute drive from the cabin. It was the perfect place to come back to and relax. Gillian is a great host. Communication was quick and easy, and she made us feel at home. Would definitely recommend!

    Steven2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Overall, we had a great stay and really enjoyed the opportunity to escape our routine and busy suburban madness—this cabin provided just that and allowed us to get what we were looking for —connecting with each other and a chance to unwind. The milk and cookies were a warm touch, I don’t even like milk and haven’t had any in years but I couldn’t resist trying a local family produced product (I loved it—no milk mouth either!). I would definitely love to visit again and I would recommend this cabin to family and friends without hesitation. Thanks again for everything :)

    Brandon2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • A cute and cozy little place for the weekend, we enjoyed it! Would be happy to stay again.

    Rutvik2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful, cozy, warm, cabin. Thank you for letting us stay. We had the best nights sleep. If a cabin could have a soul, this is it! Gillian responded quickly and was so sweet! We definitely want to go back again! :)
