Places to stay in Trego
Our home is very peaceful, off-grid, & nestled in the woods. In the winter months, we are at home and will share our entire home with you but give you plenty of privacy. There are plenty of bedrooms with a downstairs bathroom. There is great breakfast baking included and dinners offered at extra cost. The house has pretty views, & colorful interior with great decor. We are next door to Eureka, the Canadian border, Whitefish with beautiful Big Mountain to ski, and Kalispell....come & enjoy!
Once you arrive to our home, there is absolute peace and quiet and total privacy! Our home is spacious...you will love the kitchen/dining area, the deck, the great room with a beautiful Thomas Kincade mural on the wall of the beautiful woods, there is a pool table downstairs to play, and plenty of bedroom stay. ( In the summer, we have our small pool operating to cool off!)
Going into small-town Eureka, there are a variety of restaurants to try and plenty of drive-through coffee stands! My personal favorite restaurants are: Jax Café, Four Corners, and Sumi's Kitchen. You won't want to miss stepping into the Mountain Gift & Home....beautiful home décor! There are many lakes to drive by and close to the Canadian border. Whitefish and Kalispell are 1-1 1/2 hrs. southbound on Hwy. 93 and Big Mountain Ski Resort is spectacular in the winter!
  • This is a lovely get-a-way spot if you're in the area. A bit off the beaten path, it is homey and very peaceful. You'll feel very at home. Follow the directions very specifically and you will get there. The address on the listing does not match the directions, so do not use that as your location gauge. We had 6 guests and all of us were thrilled with having chosen this spot. We will stay again when in the area.

  • A ways off the beaten path, so best found in daylight, but beautiful.

  • Mary was a gracious hostess and her house was very beautiful and comfortable to stay in. A billiard table provided a nice interactive entertainment for the family. Mary left us home baked muffins, eggs, and coffee for breakfast. The location is off the beaten path, up a long dirt & rock road. It isn't found on Google maps, but we were able to easily locate it using the directions Mary provided. The setting is in the wooded hills of Fortine and is very serene. It makes a good hideaway location for those seeking open area away from the public

  • Great hosts, family-friendly, very secluded! My family really enjoyed this space. There was a comfy deck with a porch swing. That was so peaceful in the morning. They had a Keurig (which I love) and all the things you need to prepare your own meals. The bathrooms were so enjoyable! I LOVED taking a bath in the large master bathtub. Mary and her husband were very welcoming and helpful with our questions. The house was seriously tucked way back into the middle of nowhere, but their directions were spot-on. Make sure to follow them. I also looked at a map and followed the directions from her based on the roads the iPhone "Maps", both regular and satellite views. Doing that ahead of time helped me feel more confident in finding the location. The bedrooms are comfortable, and the views are spectacular. My husband LOVED the seclusion, and my kids loved the nature. I loved the coffee and the peaceful experience of the porch swing. And the big bathtub! Stores are far away, so make sure to bring what you need. Also, my husband and I had cell service with Verizon while we were inside the home. My nephew - who has AT&T - did not. While this place is family-friendly, I would not feel comfortable with my small kids for extended waking hours in the house because of the family photos and such for them to get into. It was fine for the late evening while preparing dinner or the mornings while we were getting ready, but if you have a baby then bring something to contain it. My kids are *hyper*! So we had to really stay on top of them to make sure they were careful and respectful of the space. If your kids are more average or calm, you probably don't have to worry. Also, their table is high-up, so take that into consideration for small toddlers and babies. (We brought a travel baby belt type thing to strap the baby to one of the chairs, which worked very well. We also brought a Kidco GoPod and a placard for sleeping and playing.)

  • Definitely remote. Make sure you arrive before night and follow Mary’s direction. I shared GPS coordinates to Mary which you can ask for after booking. I believe it will be much easier for future guests.

    Gavin2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Anyone traveling to the northwest area of Montana, please consider making Mary's place your home away from home. The meals she made for us were delicious and had great presentation. We enjoyed the pool room which made a great place for conversation. We would definitely stay with Mary again!

    Diane2019-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place to stay, with utterly impeccable hosts. Mary and Kerry were incredibly welcoming, and gave us free roam of their home. Mary had very thoughtfully prepared muffins for us for the next day, and even made a quiche for us for breakfast before we set off on a long drive to our next destination. It's rare that you get to spend time at an AirBnB where the hosts are so pleasant to hang out and chat with, but Mary and Kerry made us feel as though we were staying with old friends. A very definite recommend from us!

    Graham2018-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Serenity Stay at Mary & Kerry’s place was perfect. We were looking to get “off the grid” during our vacation in the northwest and couldn’t have picked a better place. This was the first time we ever used AirBnb in our lives and found the experience excellent. The setting is beautiful and warmth of Mary & Kerry remarkable. The fresh baked muffins were beyond expectations!! We could not have been more pleased. We very highly recommend with absolutely no reservations. 😊

A beautiful A-frame cabin nestled on 5 acres in the Salish mountains. A place for all seasons. Near many freshwater lakes for swimming, boating, fishing, hiking and atving. Snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the winter months.
Full A-frame cabin with open concept kitchen/living/dining. Loft is a huge master bedroom with king bed and bathroom. The second bedroom with two queen beds is on main level. Second bathroom is also on main level. There is a wood burning stove in the floor to ceiling rock fireplace. You can also enjoy a fire in our outdoor fire pit, located in the backyard. There are a couple of local mercantiles/pubs/eateries just minutes away for any sundries you might need. Going South - Whitefish is just 35 minutes away. Stunning Glacier National Park an hour and fifteen minutes drive. It never disappoints! Just over 15 minutes north is the small town of Eureka with its variety of cute shops and restaurants to try. And our favourite - Dickey Lake - just a few minutes drive from the house. The spring-fed lake has a silica sand bottom, and is often referred to as 'The Poor Man's Carribean' (well by my husband anyways). It is great for swimming, boating, paddling, fishing. Just gorgeous. Cell phone coverage is pretty much non-existent at the house. However, there is wifi (FaceTime and the like) and a landline for local calls.
  • Great place. Better than as pictured. Super clean, very comfortable and excellent host. Would stay again.

  • Such a Beautiful Cabin, very peaceful and clean. Had everything we needed and more! I definitely recommended staying here. Michelle is so great! She was helpful, and so accommodating!

    Sarah2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and clean place. There is everything you will want and need during your stay. Deer visit throughout the day and there are a ton of hummingbirds to admire. Beds are super comfy and you have an amazing view out the windows in the morning from the loft. Would definitely stay here again.

    Alisha2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cabin! Peaceful and private. Super clean and seemingly brand new. The best surprise part were the beds-heavenly!! We didn’t have one issue at all. Would love to come back-and for us who travel a lot, that is the ultimate thumbs up!

    David2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean. Exactly as described. Extremely peaceful and secluded. I would highly recommend to others

    Ryan2018-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is a great place to stay. It’s extremely clean, very comfortable and we loved the wood floors, ceiling and atmosphere of the cabin. It is in a very quiet location with a lovely view of a wetlands and close to beautiful Dickey Lake. Only 1 1/2 hours from Glacier National Park and about an hour from Fernie, BC. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    Joanne2018-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle was quick to reply and the house and area were beautiful. Michelle was able to help us out when we got into a weather related bind. Can't recommend this place enough. We would love to come back in the summer to explore more!

    Alan2017-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • The house was spacious and very comfortable. Master bed was amazing, big and comfortable. House was pefect location for quietness, yet not too far from town. DVD collection was very good for a relaxing night in.

Enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of this remote off grid, primitive(no plumbing) cabin in Northwest Montana. Cabin has solar power, wood stove for heat (firewood provided), propane refrigerator and stove, and outhouse. Great for a family or two couples wanting to get away from it all. Cabin is fully stocked with dishes, towels, and bedding. Solar shower at the bath house close by, and fresh water provided daily. Update: We redid the ceiling with rough cut 1x6 and can lights. Come enjoy!
Summer activities nearby: horseback riding, hiking, fishing, boating, and swimming. Winter activities nearby: snowmobiling, downhill skiing in Whitefish and Fernie, cross country skiing, dog sledding, cat skiing, sleigh rides, ice skating Check out our YouTube channel to see what our off grid life is like: Montana Off Grid Living - The Simple Life. https://youtu.be/MaJjn_tv5iw
  • Shari and Joe are outstanding hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. Charlie’s cabin is unlike any other place my husband and I have stayed. It’s completely off the grid. No cell service, no traffic, just peace and quiet in the forest. The perfect place to disconnect from a busy life. We are already planning to come back next year!

    Alyssa2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin in the middle of the forest so make sure to arrive during the day. Note that his place is off the grid so read the description. Hosts are very friendly and helpful with many local tips. They brought coffee with home made muffins which was a very nice gesture. About 1.5 hour drive from Glacier park. Recommended if you want a unique and offline experience!

    Geert2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great off the grid weekend! Really enjoyed the homemade huckleberry muffins and coffee every morning. Very pet friendly and accommodating Clean cabin with comfortable bed and pillows. Great shower house with solar showers. Can’t wait to come back for our next visit.

    Robert Matthew2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our two nights at the cabin felt like a week away. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. The hosts are very considerate and accommodating. Your view from the porch feasts your eyes on amazing long sunsets, hummingbirds feeding and the tree lined mountains. The hosts local knowledge is excellent, they inform you of local places to see and the local happenings during the time of your visit. They helped us find exactly what we were looking for! There's a spot for a little fire outside and a nice woodstove for a fire inside, if needed. The beds are the most comfortable! We slept so good! It was a memorable stay, and one we will repeat as long as we are able. Thank you for a wonderfull respite.

    Thalia2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location. Nice to be off grid in the middle of the woods. Saw 2 bears, wild turkey and lots of deer. Not far away is a great bar and grill if you don't do your own cooking. Kitchen is setup with a stove and fridge (propane) so you can do regular cooking if you like. The beds are very comfortable. While the accommodations are basic (it is a cabin), the locations is fantastic. I would highly recommend staying here.

    Tom2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • When booking Charlie's Cabin, we had planned on taking day trips to Glacier National Park for our entire stay. However, after arriving at the cabin, we quickly changed our plans to make the most of what the hosts had to offer. Fresh muffins and coffee in the morning, ample local suggestions and extras in the cabin made us feel right at home in the midst of nothingness. Shari and her husband will respect your space, but will also invite you to share in their fun when they are able as well, if you'd like some local company! The customer service we received is second to none - we appreciate the amazing experience and hope to share it with some close family members in the future! I plan to make Charlie's Cabin one of my go to destinations on future vacations. More than five stars if it were allowed, highly recommend to others. Note: Outhouse, non-airconditioned cabin is not the experience for everyone, but Charlie's Cabin highly exceeded all expectations with the understanding that you will be off the grid when at the cabin. Check in and check out are flexible. Shari asks her guests to meet at the post office and will guide you to the cabin the first night if you don't feel comfortable following a hand drawn map. (Most GPS systems have a difficult time locating the exact address location).

    Louis2018-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a relaxing, neat and unique holiday then look no further! Charlie’s Cabin offers peace and quiet AND you get to experience what it’s like to live “off the grid”. The cabin is solar powered, there’s an outhouse (which is kept neat and tidy) and water is provided by the hosts for washing and drinking. Shari and Joe are very accommodating and know all the local hidden gems around the area. We stayed for 3 nights and we were sad to leave. I hope we can make this an annual trip because it definitely exceeded our expectations! 5+++ stars.

Newly remodeled Dickey Lake home! New interior finishings and many added amenities. A hot tub with exceptional views looks out over Dickey lake and is a great place to spend the morning drinking coffee; a relaxing deck with a fire pit that serves as a terrific place for evening entertainment; a wave runner/ boat dock, as well as plenty of real estate to park a camper and some tents. It is a great setting for a family getaway within close proximity to resort town of Whitefish, MT.
Lakefront property perfect for boating, swimming, fishing, and other recreational activities. Private dock with boat access.
  • This lake house was exceptional for views and a good base to begin exploring glacier national park. There were more rooms and space than we thought when booking and were really surprised by how large the house was. All the bedding and furniture was perfectly clean and so comfortable. The view of the lake was just amazing to see every day and our group of 4 did not want to leave! The amenities were also great and Levi was very quick to respond to any of my questions. This place was such a great find and excellent value. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing time and beautiful home in this area!

    Kathryn2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great House on the Lake! BBQ, Jacuzzi, Sound System was fantastic! Thanks Levi!

  • Beautiful home! Everything you could ever want in a beautiful Montana lake home.

    Jeanette2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Would recommend over and over! Way better than the pictures show. Amazing views! We loved the hottub, dock, paddleboards, house, firepit, and so much more. Cant wait to come back.

  • We loved our stay at Dickey Lake! Great acess to the water with a boat dock. Incredible views all around. If you are looking for a great place to grab some lunch and a beer I would also recommend the Trego Pub and Mercantile. We had such a good time while staying here and hope to come back againnext summer

    Jocelyn2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay with gorgeous views. The lake was a favorite part of the trip for our kids. The paddle boards were a big hit! The beds are very comfortable and the outdoor space was perfect. The home was well equipt with all the necessities for travel and cooking. No air conditioning and during the day it was in the 90s so the house would heat up by late afternoon, but the nights are cool which made sleeping comfortable. The bedrooms have ceiling fans and box fans. We were not uncomfortable. We were visiting Glacier National Park on this trip with plans to do a lot of hiking. The house is about an hour and 20 minutes to the West entrance of The Park which was a little far. But if you are not planning to visit the park every day and just need the perfect lake get away with amazing views, this is the place for you!! We had a wonderful time and the host is very quick to respond if you have any questions!

    Kellie2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • We were a group of 3 couples and we had a blast at Levi's lakehouse! The pictures really don't do it justice. The kitchen is well equipped, nice bbq for grilling on the deck, and a great hot tub looking over the water. The two stand up paddle boards were a lot of fun and we were also able to take out the floating "party" raft which we enjoyed. This is definitely an amazing place to relax with friends and family. The Sonos sound system on deck was an unexpected bonus!

    Andrew2019-07-03T00:00:00Z

This is a beautifully custom-built, 12 x 16, one-roomed tree house with a small deck area and twiggy railing to enjoy the woods encased all around you! The features are fantastic and the inside charming with rustic, beautiful décor (& for holiday time!).. cozy in the winter with a propane heater. The setting is private with a full bath-house (ready in June '20) or bathroom across the field. We will "trolly" your breakfast out to you on a cable! This will be a FUN & very unique MT experience!
The tree house has wooded area space around three sides of it, and the front side is hidden in the branches but has a small field before it facing our home, which is also an Airbnb rental! You do have your own private place but may see people coming and going from our home and are usually very respectable and courteous. Our setting is serene, to be sure...and you will totally take in the quiet of being outdoors in this great setting! We want this to be a highly enjoyable experience for you!
Right after taking the exit of Fortine to come to our place, just over the railroad tracks is a small pie/breakfast shop, Renee's Pie Shop for yummy treats. Also, on the highway near the Fortine exit, is a small pull-off restaurant, On the Fly, for coffee drinks and simple, yummy meals. Eureka, the next town over, has more to offer for dining and shopping.....Café Jax, Four Corners Restaurant, Pinoy's, Route 93 Pizza, G's Home-made Icecream, various coffee drive-throughs …..and more!
  • Mary and her husband were kind enough to host my husband, son and friend for our private elopement wedding. It was an absolute wonderful experience and a joy to have Mary and Kerry a part of our special day. From a fun tree house, opening their home to us, preparing campfires, cooking breakfast, dinner and picnic lunches--everything that they did could not have been any better! Mary made our Leap Day wedding simple, easy and oh so special for us-this was not an experience you usually receive from a host and definitely not from a typical venue. Above and beyond does not go far enough to describe the delicious meals and wonderful hospitality of our new friends who feel like forever family. Cheers to them!

    Megan2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is simply amazing. Mary is the best hostess and made sure we had a great experience. Her breakfast was delicious and super fun to get off their homemade trolley. Definitely going back soon!

  • We took a road trip from LA up the coast and into the Canadian Rockies. The highlight of our trip so far was staying at the charming tree house in Fortine, Montana with Mary as our host. It was so comfortable, it was the best sleep I have had to date on this road trip. We enjoyed the campfire under the stars next to our tree house. (amble wood provided). The tree house is a master piece of engineering and art! After the camp fire as we lie in bed the full moon shown through the door window. I was met with a mother deer and her babies as I walked through the meadow early in the morning Our breakfast with Mary in her beautiful home across the meadow was charming and the conversation was enjoyable. The whole experience was breathtaking. We highly recommend staying at the treehouse. As a side note, the Front Porch Restaurant in Eureka (about 30 mins.) was a great find for dinner.

    Ruth2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse was even better than expected! Mary’s top notch hospitality goes above and beyond. Of all of the places we’ve stayed, we’ve never had such an amazing and thoughtful host!! You will love the treehouse, the area and Mary’s hospitality!

  • What a wonderful stay at Serene in the Trees! It exceded our expectations! Thank you Mary for your warm welcome and kindness throughout our stay. We will be back!

    Julie2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This wonderful woodland retreat is where dreams come true. We stayed here on our road trip through Montana and it made for a magical journey. Mary is one of the kindest, most genuine hosts we’ve ever met, and she went above and beyond to make sure that every moment spent here would be perfect — including a delightful breakfast on our doorstep, which we enjoyed in the serenity of the remoteness of this forest getaway. The craftsmanship of the tree house deserves its own nod as well. Our hosts have spent two years building it themselves, and the love and passion they’ve poured into it is evident in every detail. A truly unique space that must be experienced to be believed!

    Mike2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Mary and Terry were fabulous hosts. Lots of little touches that made a difference and conveyed real thought and caring. If you'd like to experience a quirky break, off the beaten track with lots beautiful spots close by, this is the break for you! Thanks Mary, we will likely be back soon!

  • I was absolutely blown away by this stay. I spent most of my time in the massage chair reading. Everything was so fresh and clean that you can feel it when you walk in. Very natural so it felt like home, not like a stuffy hotel or like you were staying in someone else's place. There are so many thoughtful touches, comfortable beds, as well as Theoroda's kindness, and the view of the mountains and forest is breathtaking. It is no wonder this place is a rare find as it is top notch to be booked ASAP if you find it is open. I didnt bring my toddler, but I wouldn't hesitate to. I hope to stay here any time I need alone time in a serene location as I'm only an hour away. Cant beat the price, well worth every cent.

Authentic sheepherder wagon on 6 wooded acres that sleeps up to two people. Wagon is in a campground with five other sites and guests have access to common bathroom, shower house, fire ring, and kitchen area.
common restroom facility (outhouse), common shower house (2 showers available), common kitchen and fire ring area, fires only permitted in commons area.
  • I stayed in the sheepherder wagon for 4 nights. This was an incredibly peaceful and unique experience -- especially since I am very interested in the idea of "tiny" living and being "almost off-the-grid" [my phone still worked]. The site is set-off in the foothills (away from any sound or sight of town). It was more than comfortable! I am definitely going back! THANK YOU MARY for putting together such an amazing space! I also enjoyed learning a little history from the experience.

  • We ended up staying here a lot longer than I originally thought! I loved this area and it was a great stay. Not a lot of people can say they’ve stayed in a wagon. Very cozy. Definitely will be coming back.

    Sarah2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location and unique option to the usual cabins. Very friendly hosts. Will definitely visit again.

    Robert2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic stay at Mary's place. Beautiful location, very quiet and secluded. They even provide tea and coffee in the shared kitchen area which was awesome for a traveling motorcyclist like me and has to travel light. I will be back hopefully soon.

  • Really cool Place to stay and unwind off the grid.

    J2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Go there! The wagon was perfect! The showers was nice. Mary was such a wonderful host! She had thought about everything!!

  • We booked this place to visit glacier national Park but ended up staying more time at the Airbnb than outside. Our stay was amazing. The hosts were very attentive and friendly. The gas-barbeque and outdoor kitchen made it really easy to enjoy the view while grilling meats. The hosts offered us everything to make smores in a campfire, which made the stay even more relaxing. The on-property lake has all of types of boats to enjoy (canoe/kayak/paddle board/...) The cabin was comfortable, had a lot of space, and a nice living area, and WiFi all over the property (including outdoor gazibo). Probably the best Airbnb I stayed at so far!

  • Gary & Linda’s well-stocked cabin in the woods was a very comfortable place to spend a couple nights while visiting family. We really appreciated the comfortable loungers & especially the very comfortable bed. They have thought of just about everything & then some! They are excellent, responsive communicators that are attentive & friendly while being sensitive to your privacy. Thank you two for welcoming us to Eureka. We wish you the very best as Airbnb hosts. You’ve got this!

  • Very cozy and private cabin with peaceful forest surroundings. Wonderful views, has all the amenities you may need for a comfortable stay, very clean, quiet, and close to several beautiful lakes and about 1hr and a half from Glacier National Park-West Entrance. Wildlife everywhere to see... the hosts Gary and Linda were very welcoming and so attentive to our needs! If you meet Sierra, their beautiful dog, you’ll just fall in love! We will definitely look forward to staying here once again when we are back in the area.

    Gloria2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Gary and Linda's place is everything you could want in a mountain cabin, and more. The location is a perfect base to explore the numerous lakes around Eureka MT, and close to Lake Kookanusa. My 7 year and 3 year old daughters did not want to leave. By the end of our stay our youngest daughter called Gary and Linda, Grandpa Gary and Grandma Linda. Gary also made fires for the girls so they could roast marshmallows in the evening. We cannot wait to return.

  • Tucked away from the busy and crazy, this tiny home is a perfect home base for your weekend adventures. About 10-minutes from downtown Eureka, MT and about 90-minutes from Glacier N.P this is the perfect little Montana getaway for two or small families. The only "struggle" was the Wi-Fi, if your coming here needing good cell service (I had zero) or wifi (which was really slow) this mite not be the best stop. Everything else was perfect, from snuggly beds to all the stuff in the kitchen one would want. Would highly recommend.

  • We loved our stay at the Tiny Home! I was impressed with the quailty of the pots and pans for cooking! There were extra blankets for keeping warm. My daughter slept in the sleeping loft, which she enjoyed a lot. I have T-Mobile and the cell reception was just fine in this location. I loved everything about this little place and I could definitely imagine staying again!

  • I stayed at Lydia's home for a work trip and it was a pleasure to come home every evening in the autumn and relax with a fire in the stove. The house is nicely decorated with thoughtful touches throughout. The bed and linens were very comfortable, and I really liked being able to control the temperature in the bedroom (I'm a 'cold' sleeper). I'd absolutely stay here again!

  • Beautiful home. Outstanding location. So close to the lake. We had so many deer friends that we started to name them! The wildlife (birds, deer, squirrels) was a wonderful touch to our visit to Lydia’s home. We didn’t want to leave that deck! Outstanding! The house was nice and cool even though there was no A/C which was a pleasant surprise. The home was spotless and the beds were so comfortable. I would highly recommend a visit to Our Happy Place if you are in the Eureka area. My family and I hope to be back soon!

    Barbie2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Gretchen's place is secluded, with a wonderful, winding driveway leading up to the renovated farmhouse. It's a great property to explore with a walk, or just to sit on the balcony of the master bedroom and gaze at the beautiful scenery. My kids and I also very much appreciated the big, friendly dogs there to greet us when we arrived. :)

  • This is the perfect place for someone looking for a taste of genuine Montana country life and not afraid of a little dirt and a few bugs. The property is situated on a garlic farm in the most beautiful Montana countryside surrounded by endless fields, snow-capped mountains and abundant wildlife. Our host Gretchen, and her beautiful dogs (four of them!), welcomed us to the house, lit a fire in the woodburning stove for us and gave us breakfast provisions for the next morning making us feel extremely welcome. The house itself is hand-built and is equipped with wireless internet, Apple TV and Chromecast, as well as a well-stocked kitchen and plenty of space for our family of four.

Our private guest house was built in 2012 with an open floor plan and a bright, inviting decor. Added insulation guarantees a quiet night’s sleep. We’re located on Glen Lake 7 miles south of Eureka. We’re close to Glacier Park, with plenty of summer hiking on national forest land within a few miles. Fernie to the north and Whitefish to the south offer great downhill skiing in winter.
Guests may have access to the lakefront, including a picnic table near the water.
  • This darling cottage had everything that I needed. Tucked in the woods, but an easy 15 minutes dive from Eureka. All the privacy one could want, with immediate response from the host if questions arise.

  • This is a little gem, a cozy guest house, well taken care of with attention to detail and fantastic hospitality. We arrived in the area really late after all the stores had closed and were hungry. When we got to the house, there was fresh pizza, fruit and cookies waiting for us! A great place to stay, I highly recommend it.

    Ralph2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great space in a great location right next to the lake! The house was very cozy and clean, with thoughtful touches. Host was excellent, and I really appreciated that they allow dogs.

  • The Guest Haus was even better in person than we expected based on the photos. The area was beautiful and quiet. Steve's directions were perfect. Everything was very clean; we appreciated that the cleaners and laundry detergent used weren't heavily scented. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the Guest Haus had everything we needed. Our only regrets are that we didn't stay longer and that we didn't meet Steve (we got delayed and ended up arriving later than expected). We would definitely stay here again!

  • Bear 10 ranch is a hidden gem in Eureka Montana. I’ve stayed there twice now as I was passing through. The property is amazing!

    Bree2019-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We were traveling up to Eureka and wanted a unique experience. My fiancé and I had never stayed in a tipi before so we thought it’d be fun. The property is so much fun and would be perfect for larger groups/parties. There are multiple tipis on the premise, each with its own campfire (chairs, stoves, cookware, and firewood provided)! Shared hot shower space and 2 porta potty toilets available. There’s plenty to explore too! We were camping and had sleeping bags with us which I highly recommend because it was low 50s maybe high 40s at night in mid-Aug (so cold! Tipis don’t really insulate as much as I thought) A great stay!

    Angelina2018-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jacques' place in the woods is magical! We have never stayed in a tipi before and we loved it. The cots are very comfortable with nice pillows, and lots of room in the tipi to unpack and hang out. Each tipi has an outside area with picnic tables, chairs and fire pits/bowls (some are propane to safely enjoy an evening fire in dry season) . There is a well stocked covered outdoor kitchen on the grounds, a beautiful hilltop gazebo with a hammock to read books in while listening to the sound of the stream below, and finally Le Hot Shower! Wonderful set-up with the nicest shower view you'll ever see, and organic shower amenities to complete the experience. The highlight of it all is the artisanship evident throughout the property as well as countless thoughtful touches, topped off with Jacques' warm hospitality. I highly recommend this lovely and peaceful nature retreat.

    Sylvia2018-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • My bf and I loved these tipis so much, we are already planning our return trip. Tipis were clean, comfortable and larger than expected. We had an awesome firepit to sit around in the evening as well as plentiful firefpod supply. We also had a BBQ to cook our food on which was amazing. Also had a hot shower and clean portaloo to use. Owner was police and friendly and we loved their dogs too. Excellent stay. Can't wait to come back

  • We booked and we’re a little fearful as to what to expect. The location is about 14 km out of Eureka and set back in the woods. We were in for a pleasant surprise, although rustic the tipi was clean and very comfortable. We had amazing wood fires late into the night with an insane amount of firewood on hand. The outdoor shower was quaint and extremely clean, the outhouse was the cleanest I have ever seen. All in it was a very laid back and relaxing weekend. Jacques and Patricia where excellent host and always ready to give tips and advice on local venues and more. The small town has great breakfast venues with the Jax Cafe a must. The rest is small town friendly folk. A must do if you enjoy quiet glamping. We will be back

  • Willow and Danny are the best hosts on Airbnb. They are so accommodating and the cabin is immaculate with the cleanliness and the mountain views. The outside jacuzzi is definitely worth it to use after a long day of snowmobiling or other activities. Don't forget to use the spa! Willow has kept it in the best shape and has tons of amazing saunas that my boyfriend and I loved using. The only issue we had but we overcame was the upstairs was two twin beds separated but we just joined them together and didn't mind the gap in the middle. Overall it was beautiful and really brought us closer! Thank you Willow and Danny! - Sabrina & Hunter

Live the dream of back to the past . Sleep under a tipi (teepee) like in the old days , at the time , the West was wild . The tipi “ crazy horse “ can accommodate a all family of 6 adults and 2 kids on very comfortable bunk bed . The 22 ‘ diameter wood floor will give you enough space to enjoy a propane fire pit .The tipi is a part of a village in the middle of a 50acres ranch surrounded by wild life . A place where people reconnect with nature far away from the tumult of the big city
A 22 foot diameter tipi ,almost 240 sq feet or 22 square meters surface
  • We stayed in Crazy Horse Tipis July/Aug 2019. What a wonderful, peaceful and quiet outdoor space. Our family of 4 had two of the smaller tipis in the back of the tipi village. The 'smaller' tipis, are really quite spacious. Plenty of room for sleeping and for storing gear. Jacques and Patricia were wonderful hosts. Evenings got quite chilly (this was end of July/beginning Aug), but we had extra blankets and sleeping bags, so it wasn't a problem. Tipi's include a wool blanket, pillow and towels, small table, cots with sleeping mat, chair(s) and battery/solar lantern. Also includes firepit, grill, chairs and picnic table. Everything on the property, including the biffys (outdoor toilet) and shower was well cared for and clean. Artesian water is available onsite. Thank you Jacques and Patricia, you helped make our vacation memorable. We will recommend your place, and would stay again if we ever come back in northern MT.

    Eric2018-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • To be honest, I was a little nervous when booking but after arriving and being shown around my concerns quickly dissipated. Very accommodating and kind people. I would recommend a sleeping bag if you have a tendency to move a lot in your sleep. The nights got very cold even in late July and you have to careful to not have your blankets slide off the cots.

  • Lydia's place is a gem. A perfect stop off for us whilst travelling and were road weary. Greeted by a family of deer in the garden on arrival. Great snug place with super amenities. Comfy and just a very short walk to downtown for restaurants and bars. A winner!

    Adam2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lydia’s place is perfect for up to 4 people. Clean, great location, beautiful deck, and she will meet your every need. If you want to cook, this is not your place. Only a microwave and toaster oven. Fridge is small and won’t hold many groceries. There isn’t any air conditioning either. It gets cool in the evening so opening windows with a fan going will take care of heat issues. Just a couple block walk to all restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay there again.

  • This was a great place to stay. Loved how they were in the forest but not to far away. Very nice and friendly hosts, they respond immediately, whether a message on airbnb or phone. She was always available for any needs.

  • We stayed for only one night and we wish we could have stayed longer! Jacques gave us a very warm welcome and was very accommodating to our late arrival time. His responses were great, he was even nice enough to give us a bigger space than we originally booked because it was vacant. I will warn you that the signage was a bit worn down, so you do really have to look to be able to find the turn off but once you figure it out it is super worth it. 10/10 will stay here again!!

  • This place is amazing! The tipis are gorgeous inside and out, you will get the “country” “off-the-grid” vibe. The decor are well thought out and you have almost everything you need for a camping trip plus wifi! Patricia and Jacques are awesome hosts, they made sure we were comfortable and safe and communication was really easy. Overall the experience was outstanding and we will definitely come back in the future!

  • My husband and I stayed in the Geronimo tipi this past weekend at Bear10 Ranch. It surpassed our expectations and was honestly such an amazing trip away. I don’t want to spoil any of the personal touches, but that outdoor shower will make all of your problems disappear (at least in the moment.) The tipis are comfortable, clean, and really just take you to a peaceful state. Jacques and his wife were more than accommodating, offering advice on nearby restaurants and establishments. Their new puppy Maxi kept us company and was fun to watch and play with while we were at camp. Truly, this trip was special. Thank you again, we will be back!

  • Absolutely lovely barn in a beautiful location! It was a relaxing and quiet stay. Will do again!

  • The big red barn is appointed with everything you will need for a quiet, relaxing stay. There is no TV in either the master or the bunk suite, although we did not find that a problem. There is WiFi if you need to stay connected or research the local haps. Instead, we hung out on the deck, drank wine, watched... and listened, to all the horses and local wildlife. In the summer, it's not dark until 10:00 - 10:30, so once you are done it's bed time anyway. On a side note, for larger people the master suite is probably the better choice for couples sleeping together. The bunk suite beds are smaller and more suited for single sleepers or kids. This location is well situated to explore into Canada all the way down to Whitefish, Glacier, Kootenai Falls, and Kalispell within an hour or so. This was our first time in Montana, and we wanted to explore as much as you can. The town of Eureka is 5 minutes away, and there is some interesting local shopping and dining. Café Jax has a great breakfast, but it is a locals-preferred vibe for sure. Everywhere else we went, people were very friendly. If you are into Country bars, be sure to check out Trappers Saloon, 4 miles North of town on highway 93. The horses love to be pet and it is interesting to see the goings-on at a working ranch. All in all, very relaxing, and a great jump point for local exploration! Oh yeah, watch out for deer on the highway... you won't see them coming! And stay within the speed limit, and pay attention because it changes frequently. Highway 93 is patrolled. Even if you never see Montana's finest, they are there. Relax, and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

  • This is the second time we have stayed at Bear 10 Ranch. We’ve loved the area both times and look forward to heading back again. Thank you again for everything!

    Andrea2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space and location, our first Airbnb experience was excellent. Thanks Jacques!

    Krista2018-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The barn would have been converted into a spacious room with an individual atmosphere. The apartment is not easy to find, but with Jaque's help we found it good.

    Erika2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Bear 10 ranch was a very unique experience for us. Coming from Wisconsin and being able to stay on a Montana was a great experience. Great hospitality and very clean. I highly recommend it!!

    Diane2018-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a place to get off the grid and experience Montana this place is for you! There is no TV., no city noises. The room is in the loft of a barn with horses surrounding it. It is beautifully decorated with attention to detail. The chairs are absolutely beautiful but not very comfortable so we brought up our camp chairs. There is another room next to master suite that is called the bunk room. It would be great if a family wanted to rent both rooms to be together. If a stranger is in the next room it is a bit awkward because the walls are paper thin so we could hear every word, every noise next door. The bathroom in the master suite does not have a ceiling so you can hear the person taking care of business. We would just turn on music when privacy was needed. If you are considering renting this place I think it’s important to note there are a decent amount of stairs to get up to the room. It wasn’t a problem for us but it may be for some people. Bear10 is a beautiful place in a remote location, we loved our time here!
