Refreshing to find an accommodation that lives up to the advertised description! This was a clean, warm and lovely home offered by super friendly hosts Kathy and Robert. Super comfy bed and bath was sparkly clean with a deep tub which I enjoyed a relaxing soak with unlimited hot water. Has unrestricted use of kitchen, microwave, and coffee maker with huge selection of tea and coffee, cocoa. Nice mini fridge with freezer in room. I hope it will be available next time I travel through the area, as I will definitely stay again.

The room was very comfortable and had a great amenities, we felt very welcome and would definately return if we get in to the area. Kathy was very responsive to all our questions. We came in late in the rain and we was great about getting us settled in.

Wonderful cabin in rural Georgia! Linda's place was clean and comfortable with a big TV, comfy couch and front porch. There's a lot of nearby small towns to explore and larger locales like Dublin and Statesboro are only 30-60 minutes away. Highly recommended!

Adorable cabin/small house. The beds are very comfortable. The place is clean with a full size refrigerator. Excellent TV and Wi-Fi service. Nice dog pen if you need it and also a fire pit. I highly recommend a stay. Linda is a great hostess. She is congenial, kind and very helpful. We loved it and hope to return!

A nice quiet very clean getaway!

Had a pleasant stay with my kids at Dianne's place. Hot water and warm air for some cold GA days and nights. Plenty off outside space for me,my kids, and our dogs to stretch our legs and enjoy fresh air too. Nice touches inside, some snacks and personal hygiene items in case you forget yours at home (or just don't want to worry about the mess they make). Would be happy to stay again.

I booked this trip last minute because of how amazing Dianne’s pricing was. I originally was going to stay one night in Vidalia for over $100 but ended up staying 2 nights at The Getaway for the same amount. She was so quick to respond and confirm my reservation. She made sure her husband was available for my check in, even though I showed up last minute. He was as sweet as can be too and made sure I had everything I needed. Mrs. Dianne is the sweetest soul and so personable. I wish I was able to stay longer but will definitely be making a trip back! My family and friends will also be staying at The Getaway in the near future. There will be no more hotel stays for me!! Even though it is a tiny home, there is plenty of space with everything you could possibly need!

I had to cancel my trip last minute due to an emergency and Dianne never complained and was really respectful of this. I would love to visit and stay another time!

George was very responsive to all questions. Most of them he answered before I even asked. It was very clean and nicely decorated. There are cameras outside so we felt very comfortable leaving our trailer with 4 wheelers in it. Perfect spot for our family and dogs today.

This was a good location for a stop over while on a lengthy road trip and would be a comfortable stay if one, a couple, or a small family was looking for a place to stay for more time in the area. Nice neighborhood. Although I was there basically for just a place to sleep, Susan did make available common areas in her home and if I needed to relax and not move on so early I could have been very comfortable in there. I would recommend this place!

Nice and secluded

What a wonderful little cabin in the woods! Quiet, Clean, Comfortable. There's a river close by for trail walking, they have everything needed to just escape. I've stayed here twice and haven't been disappointed at all. I plan on staying again when I get back to the area.

East stay for us, traveling band. Instructions made it easy to find. For the price you can’t beat it!

Quiet, secluded place surrounded by trees. A small creek is behind you in the woods with a trail running beside it. My son and took a relaxing nature hike everyday. The furnishing were more than I expected and everything was clean and inviting. If you want quiet and a place to destress, this is the place to be. The host was kind and checked in to ensure you had everything you needed.

Scarlett's Train Stop was a great weekend getaway for my daughters and myself. The cabin was beautifully decorated and it was sparkling clean. The appliances and supplies in the kitchen were great. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck enjoying the peace and quiet. Tony was quick to respond when contacted. I would definitely recommend this cabin, it had everything we needed, was very comfortable, and clean.

Spacious older home in a quiet rural town. Enjoyed sitting on the porch and looking out at the setting sun through the big trees that are Ser about the south and west sides of the house making for a parklike setting. Roomy simple house w comfy sofa and chairs great for lounging. Spent lots of time exploring the areas small towns and interesting sites. Def check out the vidalia onion museum in Vidalia very nice people theres also the Native American mound site in Macon. Called Ocmulgee it preserved and turned into a national park site during Roosevelt administration. Didn't get a chance to eat at Jan's restaurant Windmill which is right nearby as we're so busy exploring but will try next time git good reviews

Lizzie's Cottage is adorable and exactly as described. She's a sweet old girl with the quirks and eccentricities that come with age: doors that don't quite close, wood floors with a few squeaks, an unusual floorplan, etc. The kitchen and bath are modern and clean and the furniture is comfy. This was a great spot for a weekend away with family. We enjoyed dinner at the Windmill restaurant one night (steak and potatoes! Delish!) and Tiny Burger (ORDER AHEAD, great burgers and average fries) the next. There's also a park around the corner and lots of space to walk an active pup.

Jan is an awesome host. Everything was as described, she worked with us on early check in and adding a day to our stay. Well worth it.

As always, we had a wonderful stay at Lizzie's cottage. Both of Jan's properties have become a home away from home for us while we're building our new house. I can't say enough good things about Jan and the cottage, it's hands down one of the best and most affordable options and beats a hotel hands down, especially when you're traveling with children and furbabies.

Very cute old-style farmhouse. Lots of fuzzy friends wandering around. Lynda is wonderful and has her place well stocked with snacks. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there's a lot of sitting area for reading or lounging. Very close to GSU while feeling out of the way. If I have to stay in Statesboro again, I'll be staying right here.

Lynda is a fine southern lady & her Hamilton Place is a rural gem just on the outskirts of Statesboro, but within a 10 minute drive to anything. This is my second stay & I love the old farmhouse, but most of all the animals that she has on her beautiful property: chickens, a bunny, a little dog & cats. You'll feel very welcome & at home right away. Our favorite place to stay in Statesboro, hands down...

Down homey kind of place on the outskirts of Statesboro. good for people that like the beauty of the country and animals.

I stayed at Eileen's for 6 weeks during an internship for school. Eileen and her husband, Dave, were amazing hosts with great recommendations for activities. They are an extremely eclectic couple. Eileen's art is presented throughout the house and Dave plays the piano with great expression. Overall, they created a very fun and homelike environment for me during my stay!

Julie is a great host, very accommodating with your needs and flexible. The cottage has everything you need for a family of 4. WIFI works great and there are three TVs with cable. Perfect location to Statesboro and a quiet campground with nice amenities if you have younger children. Overall a nice place with no surprises and a good value.

This is a really nice little cabin outside of town and is a perfect accommodation for what we need for short trips. The fresh breakfast each day is a plus.

Although our stay was cut short by unexpected issues from work, we enjoyed every minute we were able to stay! Breakfasts were to die for. The little cottage was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the rec room, although the a/c was down, we were able to play quite a few games of pool, ping pong and carpet ball. Beautiful little area and we are planning another stay, hopefully soon! Thank you so much!

We loved our stay! It was a perfect place to wind down with our two little girls! They loved they the horses came right up to the fence! We all loved the fire pit! The beds were comfy. Kim thought of everything! We definitely would stay again! Kim gave restaurant recommendations, and we really loved the restaurants that we went to! Even in a small town, they were really good!

This magical barn was absolutely stunning! It had everything one could need. Kim supplied very thoughtful items as we had no need leaving to get certain supplies. The space was decorated so beautifully and the horses were absolutely darling!

Kim was so hospitable and quick to answer questions. She made our stay enjoyable and easy. My favorite part was waking up (we arrived at night) to a foggy and dewy pecan grove with horses grazing with cotton fields draping the background. I could really take a deep breath and soak it all in and was a gift of a little place. It really is a barn that was converted into a little home and is truly rustic but has everything you need. Only one bedroom loft space where both beds are, as shown in pic, but worked even with our two small kiddos. Be prepared to see some hunting prizes displayed on the walls 😊 nice and very clean place.

Quiet, country bliss!! Our family of 4 stayed at the barn this weekend and loved every minute! The owners left a few items in the fridge to make things easy on us. The outside space is just amazing. We sat around the fire pit and enjoyed the lovely lights overhead, and great views! My kids loved that the horses came right up to the fence so they could pet them. The beds were comfortable, great water pressure in the shower, and we stayed cool inside when it was hot outside. We are already planning to come back!

The price for the amount of space provided is amazing. So much of a better deal than a hotel. The kitchen convenience and a place to lounge around in a living room makes it so worth it. Looked great, smelled great and was very clean when we got there. 2 thumbs up

A well located house just far enough from GSU to be quiet, but close enough to be convenient. The home is in a walkable area if you want to take a stroll. Our check in was handled very efficiently, and everything was in good order when we arrived.

This cozy little home gives the perfect vibe for a stay in small town Georgia. I enjoyed peaceful sits on the porch and felt very safe and comfortable the entire stay. Jan and her sister also own a restaurant a block away that rivals food quality in bigger cities! Both the home and the restaurant are hidden gems for sure!!

This home was full of southern charm. Beautifully decorated. Sparkling clean. We absolutely loved the rocking chairs and the front porch. Having a full size kitchen was a bonus to accommodate our family’s thanksgiving dinner.

Everything was just as described (or better). Jan was an amazing hostess and very responsive. The large, fenced in back yard was a big plus for our pets! We loved our stay and plan on returning again soon.

What a gem! Great space if you are traveling with dogs. Very clean, very cozy and VERY SAFE! Both of Lorys dogs are super friendly, Ruckus is the definition of “host with the most” and Jojo is sweet as pie! There is a nice loop to walk your dogs, which starts a few houses down. Make three loops and it’s almost a mile. Can you tell I base my reviews on my dogs? 😉

This airbnb was an absolute delight to stay at. Eileen and David are such gracious hosts, they both really enjoy getting to know people and genuinely care about your experience. The house is absolutely beautiful with its vintage charm and quirky accents. We immediately felt comfortable at their home. We definitely would stay here again if ever in the area.

The pictures don't accurately tell the story. A beautiful old historic home updated, modern, and very comfortable! A screen porch in the back to die for. A host and hostess delivering a 5 star experience. We will return!

Perfect place to stay! Loved the value and how clean it was.

Extremely clean. They had a couple bottles of water which was extremely helpful and a nice touch since we got in late. The only thing we forgot was plastic silverware for my daughter after we warmed up her food. I'm sure the host would have provided but we didn't bother them since we got in real late. I recommend this place if you are in the area.

Cute cottage! If you stay on the weekend you must do lunch at Cotton Cafe.

The key lock is a little difficult to get into but we figured it out. The place is very comfortable and peaceful I loved it. It's about an hour and a half from the airport (Savannah Hiltonhead). It is close to stores and it is a convenient location to any part of Georgia. The fact that you can adjust your own Heating and temperature made the place even more comfortable. My mother and daughter slept comfortably and we enjoyed the swing outside despite the chilly weather. The place is immaculately clean and the full kitchen makes you feel at home. The host is very nice.

What is there not to like about this adorable cottage? Only 30 minutes away from Statesboro/GSU, this is the perfect place for a weekend of football or if you’re in the area visiting your college student. This cottage was perfectly described and the description is completely accurate. It has everything you should need. A few of my favorites....Very clean!!! The linens and towels smell of detergent like straight out of the dryer. The cottage is decorated beautifully, but not over done. The cottage is in the historic district and sits right across from some huge Victorian houses. The front porch has a cute porch swing to sit and relax on. Check in and out was easy! We will definitely return to this cottage the next time we visit our son at GSU.

Jeremy's place is perfect for our family. Super close to the college and had the weather been better we could have walked to dinner. Minor glitch with the heat but Jeremy was super fast to get us toasty warm and so responsive. Honestly, it really could have been user error on my part. I don't have a nest at home and I'm not 100% certain I was doing it right. Looking forward to staying with him again in May and every every visit to Statesboro for the next several years.

Dianna's place was just what I was looking for and more. I originally had a booking with another host and he didn't respond to either myself or Airbnb for days. I'm glad that happened because I got to stay at Dianna's gorgeous and relaxing location instead. If you like nature and the peaceful sounds of it, then you will love the owls nest. I would definitely love to stay there again in the future.

Zara’s place was very cozy and well decorated and it has 3 full baths with tv’s in all rooms (which is a plus for us). The beds were very comfy with plenty of covers. Zora met with us to show us around and give us the key. You are a block from a grocery store and family dollar. The neighborhood was quite. You have a drug store next door and the police dept. Security cameras are in place around the house. I felt safe the whole time. It’s a very small town with not a lot of restaurants but you can go about 10 miles and have a few to choose from. Not many pots and pans but it was ok I always travel with my own. If ever in the area would stay here again.

Hatch nuclear plant contractors this is a bargain and prime location. As a introverted private person, I was concerned in staying in someones home while they are actively living there. But I never saw them. And it was very quiet and private. Very clean. And the bed was comfortable. Johan was even understanding of me having to leave early. 5 stars.

The couple that rent the space are very polite. They went beyond my expectations. I was renting the space for work and it had everything I needed. They were very respectful of my privacy and worked quickly to resolve any issue I was having. I would highly recommend this space to anyone. She even had some extras she added. It was very comfortable and easy to relax after work.

Great spot! Comfy sleeping arrangements and lovely host. Tall guests - make sure to enter through the front door, the kitchen ceiling is a little low. The loft is also kind of tight, but beds are comfy. The Murphy bed downstairs is a dream. The house is well stocked with all the things you would need for your stay. And Diane is an exceptional host.

What a great little stay. The upper portion is great for kids to sleep. It’s like a doll house inside. Perfect stay for the doggies and the tiny porch is perfect for sitting with morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Host is very nice and accommodating.

Great location. You have all what you could need in the microhouse. Everything was clean and Dianne is a wonderful hostess!

This is a cute, quaint Tiny House that we found quite comfortable for our 1 night stay. There are surprisingly 2 bedrooms: (a) downstairs a comfortable Queen Murphy Bed pullout, and (b) upstairs, 2 singles, although the ceiling height is quite low (great for kids or agile adults like my wife). Everything was neat, tidy and clean. Shower and hot water were great. Kitchen worked well for us. Dianne super helpful (I erred with the TV, and she came from next door and fixed for me ASAP). In short, a sweet small house, and also a sweet host. Thank you Dianne.
