Welcome to "Bristol Little House". Our private self contained space benefits from it's own private entrance and free street parking so you can come and go as you please. This charming space was newly built in July 2017. Make full use of our kitchen, spacious open living space and en-suite. Take advantage of Sky and Netflix on the flat screen TV and fast Wi-Fi. We are on the otherside of the garden - far enough for you to have your own space but close enough if you want a friendly chat.
This modern, converted space is equipped with: Tea, coffee and sugar. An oven/microwave and double hob, Essential such as bin bags, washing up equipment, shampoo, conditioner and towels. King size sofa bed, Complimentary Netflix and Sky (with Sky Movies) and has a private entrance.
This neighbourhood is very beautiful. Just a short 10 minute walk to the local anemities, such as Porto Lounge; a cosy, friendly cafe/restaurant overlooking Victoria Park. An incredible authentic Italian, La Piazza 1, is a delightful place to eat. There are great walks around this area and many parks such as Oldbury Court Estate, and my favourite Snuff Mills. Perfect for afternoon strolls.

  • Maria was such a great host and responded very quickly when I had a few things I needed help with. I was anxious about staying somewhere on my own for the first time however Maria made me feel at ease and I had a wonderful stay. As a student Paramedic on shift this was a perfect place for me to stay when starting and finishing at all hours, meaning I didn’t have to worry about disturbing anyone. I will definitely be staying here again in the near future!

  • Would highly recommend. Great location, was so easy to get into the city centre in about 15 mins. Lots of free parking available. The place itself is gorgeous and cosy. Super clean, very warm (thanks to the dyson fan) and the smart TV with sky/netflix is a really nice touch. A fully kitted out kitchen (including some very yummy bread and wine) meant we didn’t have to bring anything ourselves which was very useful. Maria wasn’t there herself but she was extremely quick with responses. I unfortunately broke a wine glass by accident and she was so so lovely about it. Will definitely be back!

    Vibrant, urban residential area with independent bars, restaurants & shops all very close by. Ashton Court Estate is which is lovely for picnics, walks & has great views over Bristol, £120p to park or a 30 minute walk down North Street. Bristol South swimming pool & park at the end of the road only 2 mins away from Studio. The opposite direction at the end of the road its a pleasant 10/15 minute walk to Bristol Harbourside with all its bars, restaurants, shops & other great places to visit... SS Great Britain, MShed, Hippodrome, @Bristol, Millennium Square, Park Street to walk or number 8 bus to Clifton to visit Brandon Tower, The Observatory, Brunel Suspension Bridge, Bristol Zoo etc.
  • Wonderful stay in Bristol. I had a 2 day training course to attend at the Marriott hotel and found the studio to be within very close proximity. Parking wasn't an issue as I arrived after 5pm and was gone before 9am so could park right outside. The studio is simply beautiful and I love the decor. The bed was snuggly and very comfortable, the shower was powerful and with underfloor heating in the bathroom I didn't feel cold at all. I was extremely impressed with the variety of cereals, teas, coffees, hot choc and even little marshmallows! After a full day of travelling and training it was so easy to relax here, I just wished I could have stayed longer. Thank you for a lovely stay.

    A stylish and comfortable one bed flat just off the bustling Gloucester Rd with its great range of independent shops, bars and restaurants close by. We don’t charge extra for cleaning etc. 20 mins walk into town and close to great local, national and international transport links. This is a vibrant central area but a fairly quiet road with everything nearby. Children are welcome but we have no child locks etc. Parking can be difficult during the day but usually OK in the evening and at weekends.
    This is a self contained flat with its own front door. We live in the house above so we're very happy to offer any info about the area or what to do. The flat is on the ground floor and has a small paved outside area too. There is one bedroom with a double bed and also a comfy sofa bed in the living room. There is a bathroom with shower and bath and a well equipped kitchen. The road is quiet and free parking is available on the road but it is often difficult to find a space. We use Egyptian cotton bedding and provide basics such as tea and coffee, shampoo etc. If you want more than one bath sheet each please let us know. We are happy to get any shopping you want in advance for payment when you arrive. A fold out bed or travel cot can be provided for children if required. Please let us know when you book. We are happy to accept bookings that are longer than a month but just let us know first. Thanks
    The Gloucester Rd is a few steps away and we are lucky enough to have some of the best restaurants and gastro pubs nearby. It is the longest road of independent shops in Europe and has a really good selection including a couple of good supermarkets within 5 mins walk, as well as bakers, butchers, fishmongers, green grocers etc. There are also some great retro, vintage and charity shops. The flat is a short walk away from Gloucester Cricket Club which hosts local, national and international matches. We have a Bannatynes Gym with pool close by with membership available by the day. There is a great blog about all the lovely places to eat locally in the flat too. We can send the link if you'd like to plan!
  • Had a lovely stay at Cath's place. It's a good size for 2 couples for a night or two and has everything you need - even some homemade marmalade in the fridge. Location is also fantastic for shops, cafes, pubs etc. and the price is more reasonable than many other places. Would stay again.

    We have a delightful, privately accessed annexe for you to enjoy your stay. It has a double sofa bed and enough room to add an additional single mattress for an extra guest. There is a large TV and a single wardrobe. We provide you with your own kitchenette and breakfast bar consisting of a kettle, toaster and microwave, washer/dryer. We will provide you with all the basics you need for a comfortable stay - tea, coffee, sugar, milk and breakfast bits and bobs and some toiletries.
    The Snug is in walking distance of lovely pubs, restaurants, shops and woodland walks and a 15-30 min car or bus journey into central Bristol. If you are staying for work we are situated on the right side of Bristol for the Ministry of Defence, Aerospace, Rolls Royce, The Science Park and UWE to name but a few. Of course we also offer you a stylish and comfortable self contained place to stay.
    Downend is a leafy, green affluent suburb on the north east side of Bristol. Downend village, as it’s known, has a collection of shops and services and a number of acclaimed eatery’s and cafes. There is a real feel of community and there are many venues offering community based classes and fitness opportunities. What I love the most is it’s lovely woodlands and walks along the Frome Valley walkway - just opposite The Snug is the entrance to Britannia Woods.
  • I could not recommend this place more. Beautifully welcoming with daffodils on arrival. Definitely made me feel that spring was here. Clean and perfectly presented, everything was easy to find and no difficulty finding anything or a need to go to the local shops. Jayne is accommodating and warm. The Snug feels like a home away from home. Beautifully modern with enough space. The bed was very comfortable too. The bathroom was clean and spacious with towels softer than even lenor can provide. Thank you for a fantastic few days Jayne, you were great as was the Snug and I will be back soon. In fact I have already put another reservation in. See you soon.

    Situated in a stunning location overlooking the River Avon, this fabulous house is sure to catch the eye of anyone wanting tranquil views and relaxing walks along the nearby river path. The property has been finished to a high standard with care and attention paid to the finer details. The house comprises off a wonderful, southerly facing open plan space that can be enjoyed whilst relaxing on sunny mornings taking in the view, as the full height feature windows create such a light airy space.
    The large double bedroom with a private ensuite has an incredible rain shower and bath. We also can accommodate a third person with the sofa bed in the same room. The room is within an extremely large two bedroom house, in a superb location close to Bristol city centre, Cabot Circus, and is in the heart of St George right on the River Avon with spectacular views! The location benefits from zero city noise, at night the only noise you can hear is wildlife or the river water running. The rear of the house is glass from top to bottom, allowing you a full view of the surrounding river area, as well as full natural light filling all the back rooms. The property is also supplied by renewable energy sources from being solar powered! The price includes the following: Private Ensuite A free breakfast that includes cereal, bread, milk (Soya, Oat, Semi Skimmed) & crumpets. (We normally do have gluten free cereal options, but please inform us before hand just incase we have run out) Free allocated Parking (No searching for a space!)     The property is situated on the River Avon, allowing you access to the public pathways that join to either Bristol & Bath. Locally we have a Co-op supermarket within a 10min walk along the river path open from 7am -11pm daily. Bus routes are within easy walking reach to the city centre, and the nearest train station is a 25 mins walk away. The area is rich in big outdoor spaces within easy reach, the nearest being a 5 minute walk. There's Trooper’s Hill Nature Reserve, and the path along the river that leads to the Eastwood Farm Nature Reserve, and of course Beese’s Riverside Bar.
  • A lovely place right on the river with two beautiful huskies! The city centre is a half an hour walk or a 12-min Uber. Sharing the space is easy for guests and Luke is very accommodating. The place is sparkling clean and the bedroom was set up nicely for three people. Would definitely stay here again if we're back in Bristol! Thank you so much for having us.

The house is over three floors. The middle floor houses two rooms - single room (for ABNB guest) and double room for full-time lodger. There is a shared bathroom (shower over bath / shared by AIRBNB guest and lodger). The top floor is my own room with ensuite bathroom. Fully fitted kitchen, shared living room with TV / coffee table work space. Other amenities: No breakfast service, however please help yourself to the following: *Tea & Coffee and fresh milk provided. *A selection of cereals provided. *Bread, butter and a jams (Limited - may not always be available). Please note - longer stays will need to provide themselves with some of the above after the initial provided has all been used. *Fast wireless internet (Fibre). *Central heating. *Sky TV with NETFLIX / Amazon Prime Video. *Cats (!) *Happy to store your bike - either locked up in the back garden or in the house (Please let me know in advance).
    The neighbourhood is lovely. It is situated just off main routes in a residential area. You are a brief walk to the University of West England so the house is ideally placed. You are surrounded by a large park (Stoke Park) which is great for walks, runs and bike rides. A lovely view across the city. It is the best of both worlds - not too busy, lovely scenic views but also very accessible to the city centre and main bus routes.

Mr. Chris is gentle and polite, and always ready to provide help. I am very grateful to him for picking me up and helping me with carrying baggages.

    The house is light, and in a very quiet area. On street parking good.
    St Werburghs is one of the trendiest areas of the city. Near the City Farm, lovely pubs and excellent restaurants. Good access to cycleways into city centre and out of city.

This detached converted dovecote features vaulted ceilings and original walls of pale local stone, with an electric wood burner and Smart TV for cosy evenings in.
    The beautiful city of Bath with its 18th century Georgian architecture, original Roman baths and impressive abbey is just 8 miles away. A nearby park and ride service into the town centre operates every 15 minutes. The vibrant city of Bristol, famous for its maritime history and wealth of designer shops, bars and restaurants is also close by - approximately 11 miles from Abson. Other points of interest within an hour’s drive include Glastonbury, Wells, Stonehenge and Longleat Safari Park. Local shops, pubs and dining can be found in the neighbouring villages of Wick and Pucklechurch - each less than 1½ miles away. Shops and pubs 1½ miles. 4 steps to entrance.     Located in the quiet hamlet of Abson, The Dovecote is less than 8 miles away from Bath. A regular park-and-ride service into Bath is just 10 minutes away. Bristol is only a little further, with local shops, pubs, and restaurants in the neighbouring villages of Wick and Pucklechurch.

It is close to Bath to enjoy the history and attractions but also secluded and peaceful enough to relax in the evening. Sophia was extremely helpful and could not have been more accommodating.     Filwood is a suburban neighbourhood designed in the 1930s as a Garden City as part of the Homes Fit for Heroes Housing Act after the First World War. Built as Council housing, this inter-war red-brick housing estate is typical of its period. There is a strong community ethos and you will be staying at its heart in the grounds of the Filwood Community Centre. The location is just a 10 minute drive from the city centre and Temple Meads railway station. You are 5 minutes walk from the Knowle West Media Centre who, along with Filwood CC, are partners in the We Can Make project. The KWMC is a vibrant community arts and media centre where you can find out much more about the We Can Make project and other cool stuff. Filwood CC has a delightful courtyard and gardens with a locally run café that does a variety of coffees, homemade cakes and hot meals. They also do a mean bacon and egg sandwich. Ashton Gate football ground is just 5 minutes away if you’re a football or rugby fan. Home to Bristol City Football Club and Bristol Rugby.

  • We booked the TAM as a fairly last minute booking as a birthday weekend stay. The description of the location is accurate and it is situated within a gated community centre with secure locked gate system. The TAM provides everything we needed to just walk in and live for the weekend. We chose the TAM as are very interested in Eco friendly and sustainable living and this didn't disappoint. Even the paint on the walls has been created from natural materials. There is a supermarket only a 5 minute drive away so we were able to cook our own meals with ease. A very comfortable stay in a very clean and unique property.

Our studio is located between Southmead and BRI hospitals in the quiet residential area of Bishopston & just off the famous Gloucester Rd with its independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants.     Flexible Booking (Free Cancellation) - Our lovely garden room is in a quiet residential area close to Bristol city centre and train station. Our friendly neighbourhood has local restaurants and shops. The garden room is a bright, sunny, self contained studio flat within our garden. It has outside seating, kitchenette, woodburning stove and its own access. A welcome breakfast of bread, jams, cereals is provided on arrival, with tea and coffee available.
    The garden room has an independent kitchen with fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, pots, pans, electric hob, cooking utensils and cutlery. Bathroom is a wet room with shower, toilet and wash basin. The room has digital internet enabled HD TV with Netflix. Double french windows on sunny decking and garden, with BBQ and outside seating. Wood burning stove and logs are available to use (additional logs at extra cost).
    It is a nice, quite, local, neighbourhood with two nearby parks and a few friendly restaurants, pubs and shops.

    Hi there! We're your hosts, Katherine & Jayme - A very happily married couple.... We welcome you to share our beautiful, happy, cosy home that we share with our gorgeous dog Roxie. We live in an end of terrace house on a friendly, family oriented cul-de-sac. No through traffic for peaceful nights, the only noises are that of children playing and birds chirping but we're just a stones throw from the city! Whilst the room we offer is cosy & compact, it has everything you need....towel rail, mirror, coat hooks, hairdryer, shelved wardrobe, comfortable double bed (with room to store suitcases/bags under), lamp, 4 x plug sockets for all your electronics & bedside table. The lounge has a good size TV which you're more than welcome to use (NETFLIX & AMAZON PRIME only) though the views from your room are far better than watching TV! We welcome you to share our, lounge/diner, bathroom, kitchen (see house manual) and garden whilst you're here...... There is ample on street parking directly outside the house. Location; 1 min walk from the no. 90 bus stop (to and from Bristol City Centre) 7 - 10 min drive/30 min walk from Bristol Temple Meads (main train station) 5 min drive/15 min walk to Bedminster Train Station 35 min walk to city centre 20 min walk to Bedminster/North Street 7- 10 min walk to the nearest convenience store We like to ensure guests feel free to interact as much or as little as they choose with us.     We live on a friendly, family oriented cul-de-sac that benefits from stunning views (that can be seen from the garden and surrounding fields). No through traffic for a quiet night's sleep. During the day the kids are out playing on the street, a mixture of council and private tenants occupy the terraced houses.

    Our home is within easy access of Bristol city centre (20min walk) & Temple Meads train station (10min walk) or short bus journeys. Close to excellent bars, restaurants, convenience stores and parks, it is a good place for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers and small families. The comfortable private room has a beautiful double bed with ensuite shower & toilet. Bedding, towels, toiletries & a simple breakfast of cereal, toast & hot drinks are provided. FREE PARKING IS ALSO INCLUDED.
    Private bedroom with ensuite shower room in a three storey Victorian terrace house. The bedroom is equipped with a beautiful new double bed with a foam topped medium-firm pocket sprung mattress which can accommodate one or two people. The ensuite has a walk in shower cubicle, toilet and sink. The bedroom is on the lower ground floor, adjacent to the kitchen which leads onto the garden. Access to the house is on the floor above, at street level. Due to its position in the house there are no windows in the bedroom, however, this makes for a private, cosy and relaxing space to spend the night. I will meet you on arrival to check you in but it is also possible to check yourself in using the lock box if necessary. Late night self check in is charged at £10. The house is located on Firfield Street which is a quiet street off a main road which leads into the city in one direction or out towards Somerset in the other. It is conveniently located for access to Temple Meads train station, the city centre and the airport. Our home tends to wake up around 7am and we eat breakfast in the kitchen next door to the bedroom so please be aware there may be some general family noise in the morning.     The Totterdown area of Bristol is a beautiful place with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Firfield street is close to all local amenities and really well connected for travel into the city and beyond. The bus stop at the top of our street goes directly to the city centre. Please look at my guidebook for places to visit during your stay or ask me during your stay. We have plenty of cafes and pubs within walking distance offering food and drink to suit all tastes and dietary requirements.

  • This was a fantastic place to stay, for just a couple of £ more a night, than a shared dorm room in a backpacker hostel I got a lovely little room all to myself. There was a laundry room with free use of a washing machine and tumble dryer plus an iron and an ironing board There was a large kitchen which was cleaned regularly by staff ( although at the time I stayed there was one young guy who insisted on making as much mess as possible and leaving it for others to clean ) But this wasn’t the fault of the property As it is a shared space it is the responsibility of the people staying there to tidy up after themselves I found the WiFi to work extremely well although I know some people higher up in the building we’re having problems with signal strength but you can always sit in the lounge and kitchen and have a strong connection There was also a lounge with tv And you could have mail sent there If you needed The check in process was extremely easy and the ability to extend my stay was a great addition I was overall very happy with my stay and would definitely return if and when I was in Bristol again

    We recently transformed our large, 70 sq. meter, double garage into a stylish, open plan studio apartment, with bleached oak, hard wood floor and under floor heating. It is a fantastic, light and relaxing space with 3 meter bifold doors with integrated blinds, that fully open out onto a shared court yard with our house. There are large electric velux sky lights with blackout blinds. It is a fantastic light space to relax or work. It has its own private access from the street.
    The main room has a very comfortable king-size sofa bed (6 foot 6 x 4 foot 8 inch), a dining area and a double desk. We have a brand new 40 inch smart TV, (with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Freeview, BBC Iplayer) and wifi. It is heated via electric underfloor heating. The bathroom is a lovely space. It has a power shower, sink and loo. It has underfloor heating and a heated towel rail. There is also a utility room with sink, toaster and kettle, washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. There is also a fridge freezer. Please note that we do not have cooking facilities but there are plenty of great places to eat nearby! We will provide a continental style breakfast including a choice of cereals, bread, jams, tea, coffee and milk for the morning. Essentials such as bin bags, washing up equipment, shampoo, conditioner and towels and a hair dryer are provided.
    We are fabulously located in the north of Bristol. It is located 1 min walk from the famous Gloucester Road, which is one of the largest High Streets in the UK and has the most independent shops of any street in the country. It is packed with great places to eat and drink, listen to music and party. Walk for 30-40 mins down the Gloucester Road and you will be in Bristol City Center. There are also buses every few minutes. Bristol Rovers and Gloucester Cricket Ground are both a short walk. Beautiful Clifton and the Clifton Suspension Bridge is a nearby. We are also very close to Filton, which is home to many businesses including; Airbus, Rolls Royce and the MOD.

    Close to Bristol Parkway, M4, M32, UWE and 5 miles from Bristol city center. A very quiet base for workers visiting during the week. The annex has its own private entrance and is separate from our main home. Facilities include a private en-suite shower room, king size bed, WIFI, TV, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, and off street parking for one medium sized car on our gated driveway. The annex is self check in, and would suit guests that are confident using the internet on their phone.
    The studio doesn't come with a separate kitchen (see floor plan), but makes up for it by being totally private and separate from our main home. We are extremely popular with workers looking for a comfy and private stay during the week. We are less popular with guest who are looking for night life in Bristol and guests who are not confident using the internet on their phone tend to find the self check in process difficult. The location is peaceful and quiet with the closest pub being about 800 meters away (8 min walk) and the closest shop/supermarket about 1 mile away. We recommend you bring your own transport, however there a lots of buses into the city center. Very long cars may struggle to park on our driveway, However there are lots of parking options on Beckspool Rd or Riverwood Rd. Message me to discuss.
    We are in the Frenchay conservation area which includes many historic Georgian buildings and the beautiful Frenchay common is a only a few steps away from our home. If you walk through the common for about 8 mins you will find the White Lion pub which has excellent food and drinks. From there you can walk along the Frome valley river which goes the 5 miles into Bristol.

    Casita Paraiso Eco Chalet is one of the UK's first tiny houses. Designed by sculptor/architect Miguel Humbert, it is a romantic little hideaway for one or two. It is very central and perfect for exploring all that Bristol has to offer, train 5 minutes away, national coach and busses.     Casita provides a perfect space to relax and unwind, whether you're here for work or play. It's a sun-trap, south-facing, with a tall rosebush for shade on the wooden decking and seating. You will need to mount the curved, hand built stairs, to the cozy king sized bed above. Its porthole window comes from the Bristol docks, and some of the design is slightly Rudolf Steiner-ish. It was my son's space for many years, well out of sight and sound of mama for his overnight guests..... The main house has been our family home for over 28 years, so we are well equipped for many things, and events. Our first floor bedroom was the home of Bristol's first ever salsa and lambada dance studio in 1991..
    Walking down Picton Street, the first shopping centre of the old city, you will be greeted by local artist Alex Lucas's pink mural "Welcome to Montpelier". There are a number of gorgeous historic buildings nearby. 5 minutes’ walk takes you to St. Werburghs, an oasis of tranquillity in the heart of the city. Highlights include the city farm, self-build community ‘The Yard’, numerous allotments, Gaudi-like cafe and local's favourite pub The Farm. 10 minutes’ walk takes you to the organic supermarket and cafe Better Foods. Richmond Road is a particularly special place, with an eclectic mix of residents. We have a home for the learning disabled, people from various religious and ethnic backgrounds, grand colourful Grade 2 listed buildings and Daddy G/Massive Attack's tastefully period home and garden. We came here partly because it reminded us of Ladbroke Grove & Portobello Road- positive and creative people from all over the world. The excellent Cadbury pub is 30 seconds down the hill, a great place to meet friendly residents from our wonderful community. Bristol has been getting quite a reputation for its food scene, and in Montpelier it doesn’t have to break the bank! For eating out your choices are endless - from the timeless Bristolian cafe, to the exotic Thali Cafe and arguably the best pizza in town at Napolita. In the morning you can walk down to Herbert’s, a family-run bakery that you can be easily found by following your nose. If you want to work up an appetite then why not try the Bristol Climbing Centre, a stunning set of climbing and bouldering walls set inside an old church (you can even climb up in to the clock tower!).

The location was great, away from the Main Street so nice and quiet, but just down the road were some lovely cafe/brunch spots. And down a little further some fun and unique pubs/bars. The tiny house itself was perfect for a couple days. It was a little cold at times, but with the heater on for a little bit, and the extra blankets provided it was easily manageable. The host Anita was lovely, responded quickly to any messages, and helped with any questions we had. Highly recommend!

    We offer a cosy, quiet and comfortable attic room with single bed, desk, fridge, TV and WIFI. The property is close to Stapleton Road train station and is just a few minutes walk from several bus stops servicing both the city and other local areas. We are located near to the Frome Valley cycle path and Eastville park. Our check-in times are moderately flexible but we cannot, under any circumstances, accept any arrivals after 10pm.
    Our home is located in the the vibrant Eastville area of Bristol famous for its multi-cultural cuisine and festivals. There's a range of cafes, restaurants, several great pubs, a fabulous bakery, a church, a mosque and even a bookies. One of our local streets, St Marks Road, has recently been named in the top three greatest streets in the UK. We are also located near to the Frome Valley Walkway which is a 29km (18 mile) long path following the River Frome from the River Avon in the centre of Bristol to the Cotswold Hills in South Gloucestershire. The property is also close to the Bristol and Bath Cycle Path which is a 13 mile off road route between the cities of Bristol and Bath. The path is open to walkers and cyclists and access is provided for disabled users. The Path is many things to many people - an integral commuting route, an attractive leisure path and an important wildlife corridor.

    36 Lindsay road is the very last house on the right at the top of the hill. The room at the back of the house has stunning city scape views over Bristol. Particularly impressive at night. The green spaces and woodland of the stoke park estate are just out the front door .. with many miles of off road walking and running available. All this is just 4 miles from Bristol city centre and just off j2 of the m32. Bus links from the bottom of the road ( no 24 bus) will get you to the centre in around 25 minutes.

    The Shepherds Hut is the ultimate romantic rural retreat for couples who are looking to get away from it all. Idyllically located looking out over the fields that line the River Avon and the beautiful rolling green hills beyond up to Kelston Round Hill– the Shepherds Hut is perfectly cosy and compact, offering a couple (+ 1 well-behaved dog*) all the comforts you would expect from bricks and mortar within a 20ft traditional shepherds hut, including a wood burner and outdoor hot tub!
    INTRODUCTION *NOTE: 1 well-behaved dog is welcome at the Shepherds Hut at an additional cost of £30 per dog. Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog and we will then revise your booking confirmation. Set within the owner’s 230-acre arable farm, the five outstanding properties that comprise Avon Farm Estate are decorated to a high standard, and each boasts a large open plan living area (except for the cute and compact Shepherds Hut!) There are goats and chickens on the farm, so if you are up early enough, you can help yourself to some fresh eggs or wander around the stables. Once you have settled into your Avon Farm holiday cottage you can decide what you want to do, probably a mix of relaxing in your comfortable space and testing out the hot tub, enjoying the flora and fauna surrounding the farm and just soaking up the atmosphere. However, if you wish to explore you can walk around the estate and stroll along the Avon River to the local public house on the riverbank, or for the more active, you can hire a bicycle from Clive and Serena (pre-booking required) head down the cycle path, which was once the old train track, to either Bath or Bristol – only 2 minutes from your accommodation, how green is that? Both cities are full of interesting places to visit and activities for all ages! The Shepherds Hut has been designed efficiently to maximise space and provide everything that you will need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The space is bright, airy and modern with a half glass-panel door and plenty of windows. Step up into the beautifully furnished main kitchenette/living area, and you will find your cosy double sleeping compartment at one end and surprisingly spacious shower room at the other. Every part of the hut has been created to maximise storage space, and within the various underbed or overhead cupboards you’ll find all manner of utensils – it’s all there! Guests have access to the 230 acres of land, which includes the River Avon, where you can do a spot of fishing (a licence is required). Take a walk through the farmland and you reach the local pub, which is situated on the bank of the river less than 1 mile away. The farm is also 2 minutes away from the Bristol and Bath cycle track, perfect for cyclists and walkers, and the property is close to Saltford Sailing Club. Surrounded by open countryside, Saltford is also known for its history and has a conservation area, with a restored brass mill (dating to 1720), an old manor house and a church with a Saxon tower. Just 6 miles away is the vibrant heritage city of Bath, which boasts the famous Roman baths, Thermae Bath spa, and the famous Royal Crescent, which is one of Bath’s most iconic landmarks. There are also several National Trust areas nearby, including Dyrham Park and Stourhead House. Hen parties are permitted; however, we ask that Avon Farm rules are respected (see below) and where possible members of the group travel together to avoid extra traffic on the farm lane.     Enjoying the Farm and its Facilities One of the biggest benefits about staying on a farm is there’s loads to see and do without even leaving the site, it’s great for families, friends and couples alike! Avon Farm Cottages have secured fishing rights for their stretch of the river, just a short walk from the holiday cottages. Guests are welcome to fish in the river, own equipment and licence required. Bicycles are available to hire from Clive and Serena. Please help yourselves to chicken eggs.  The chickens are beyond the car park through the opening onto the fields Not far from the chickens is a family of goats.  They like being fed vegetables, fruit, even bananas! Walk past the past the goats, follow the path down to the river and take a riverside walk either way along the public foot paths. The horses do not belong to the farm and are looked after by their owners who come daily to see them.  Please do not feed the horses, but they are always happy for a stroke on the nose and a hello. Next to the chickens is the poly tunnel, and when there is fresh produce, you’ll find some in your welcome pack, and can refill this when there is plenty. Feeling green fingered?  The grounds of the farm are always in need to something, so feel free to help us keep the farm looking lovely.  Whether that be a bit of weeding, dead heading, or just advice, we will welcome any help! All around this field are many blackberry bushes, please help yourselves when they are ripe. There are other tenants on the farm that either live with us in the converted barns, or just let a stable and field.  They are all very nice, and always happy to answer any questions! The stables near by were very pretty and it was lovely to see the horses, goats and chickens and also being able to walk around the grounds! This place is 10 minutes away from a huge car park near the main town where you can walk around to see the amazing shops and also the Christmas market! (Depending what time of year you go of course!)     The property is a self contained oak-framed barn. The Barn is situated just inside the entrance to Leigh Woods National Park and overlooks beautiful open countryside and the woods themselves. The woods boast excellent walking and mountain bike trails. The Barn is a five minute drive / twenty minute walk from Clifton village and a ten minute drive into Bristol city centre and harbour side. There is a bus stop a short walk away with direct links into Bristol city centre / bus / rail links.
    The Barn is open plan and is only two years old. It has a king size oak framed bed. There is a bathroom with a walk in wet room / shower. There is a fully fitted kitchen with fridge / freezer. The Barn has Sky tv including all sports and cinema channels accessible on a 120” cinema and surround sound. There is Netflix and an Amazon firestick and also a large collection of dvds. Outside there is a large decking area overlooking open fields with a private hot tub. The Barn is safe and secure and resides behind Forestry Commission gates which are locked from Friday evening through to Monday morning. There is a gate key for guests.

  • The perfect place to stay for a restful and peaceful weekend. We will be recommending the pods to just about anyone who will listen! The pod is sparkling clean and such a great use of space. It feels homely and cosy as soon as you arrive. Fantastic facilities to cook and enjoy meals with plenty of cutlery and silverware provided. The hot tub is easy to use and very relaxing and positioned perfectly with privacy. Also highly recommend Zinga Indian takeaway who delivered to the gate very quickly, the food was amazing. We will definitely be coming back to the Ashlea Lakeside Retreat.

    Lovely room in house, in Southville area of Bristol. Only 5 mins walk to the Docks area, and 10-15 mins to the city centre, across the small river. Also, it's 10 mins walk the other way to the North Street area, with its variety of independent shops & cafes etc.
    You will find a very comfortable double mattress, a clean room with towels and hairdryer provided. There is a good shower & bath.
    The City Centre is an easy walk away. For example, in 7 mins you can be at the M-Shed museum, 10 mins at the Arnolfini Gallery, on the on the docks. A 14 minute walk will take you to the Waterfront area, where there is the Watershed arthouse cinema and many pubs and bars along the harbourside. You can also walk to King St in 15 minutes, where there are lots of historical pubs and bars, and free live music in the evenings. I have listed various places of interest (some bars, restaurants, galleries etc) on my 'Guidebook' function, on the top right of the page here. They are all places that I've been to and recommend for this reason, and are within walking distance around the city. There is a large supermarket only 8 mins walk away, a great local organic deli 10 mins walk away (on North St), and a swimming pool 10 minutes walk away. There are also other local food shops in Bedminister and Southville (quite nearby).
