Beatriz's little house

Hello! We are Sonia, Elio and our daughter Beatriz. Our goal is to make your vacation unforgettable!! Welcome to our home!! The "Casinha da Beatriz" is located in Santana, land of typical houses, ex-libris and tourist poster of the island of Madeira. They were houses composed of an attic, where agricultural products were kept, and a ground floor with the living area. We rebuilt one of these typical "little houses," dating back to 1950, with all the comforts of today. It overlooks the sea/mountains.

Come stay at an old winemakers house that has been beautifully renovated by your host and family with open plan and airy living. Situated on the north side of the island, there is a small bar/cafe in the village which is a 5 minute drive, a large supermarket and many restaurants/cafes in Santana which is a 10 minute drive.The weather can be hot and humid but also bring fresh wind and rain. In the summer months the house stays cools, there is a log burner and plenty of blankets to keep you cosy.

Casa Vista Nova

This studio apartement is part of a 3-storey house, located on the middle floor and this level is private to guests, only the main entrance/ gate and patio are shared. It is located in a rural area, please note access is 30 meters from the road via stairs, ideal if youre travelling light. There is free parking available on the road It is close to the center of Machico, 5 minutes by car, 25 minutes from Funchal, in this area there is a LEVADAS walks, trails Public transport direct to Funchal

Santana Cozy Cottage is a retreat situated in Santana, the birthplace of Madeira's iconic triangular-shaped houses. This delightful cottage is located just a short distance from some of Madeira's most stunning natural attractions, such as Caldeirão Verde, Caldeirão do Inferno and Pico Ruivo. The cottage is nestled in a calm and welcoming rural area, adjacent to a small agricultural plot. It offers all the essential amenities for nature lovers, providing a perfect blend of comfort and serenity.

"Just Nature 1" Madeira Island -Boaventura

"Just nature 1" is located in Boaventura-S. Vicente An ideal place for walking wrapped in protected Laurisilva, where the only sound you can hear is the sound of the birds! Absorb the amazing views of the northen part of Madeira island, and meet the insides of the Laurissilva by going on walk in "Levada da Origem", located at 100 meters from the house. Near the house there is also a minimarket, where you can meet Mr. José, ask for the local drink, and get to know a bit more about Boaventura.

Palheiro Jardim Avó Graça [Grandma Graça's Garden]

The sea and the mountains are so close to you. Nature at its best. This site shows what the typical shelter of the ancient shepherds here on Madeira Island called Palheiro was like. Its function was to be the shelter for the shepherd/farmer to put the animals and store the products taken from the land and their food, such as cattle and goats. It was a place without great resources, very simple. The Palheiro do Jardim da Avó Graça is SLIGHTLY adapted to our times. It is a Rustic Place.

Located in the north-western part of the island ,its an amazing location protected by conservation laws that have kept the area free of over development. With epic mountain and sea-views (the photos don't do it justice) the tents are located 450m above the coastline. If a place to relax and unwind is what you after then this would be the place to come to. There are also some amazing levada walks to explore in the area.There are three tents on the property so you might neighbours.

The flat is very close to the town centre with WiFi, there are restaurant and a backery very close by. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. For couples traveling with a baby or toddler we can provide a cot. NOTE: From June 2024, there is a new law that requires all hosts to collect a tourism tax per guest (over 13 years old) per night 2€ with a maximum limit of 7 nights.
