  • You can't go wrong booking into Dave's place in Saint Andrews NB. A Great site in a wonderful location

  • What is wonderful about this quiet room with a private entrance in the beautiful town of Saint Andrews, NB, is the smiling face that greets you at his open door as you arrive! Unlike many B&B’s that send you an impersonal entrance code, Dave is always around and sending out a warm hello from his open door, kitchen window or yard. He helps you in with your bags, gives you a rundown of the place and lets you know whom else is staying with him. I would stay here again and again! :)

Salty Towers is a unique accommodation facility owned by adventurous souls Deb Farlow & James Steel. The main house has 10 rooms of various sizes. Rooms are capable of sleeping between 1 and 4 people. Please check each room description for details. This listing lets guests choose one or more rooms at once. Convenient if two or more travellers want separate rooms. If guests have pets or want a larger space we may opt to accommodate them in a studio apartment.
Salty Towers has been called a Chateau Alternatato by some and is certainly not for everyone. It is more of a guest house/hostel than traditional B&B. It is certainly not sophisticated or high end! Rooms are not huge, nor are any two alike. The building is a 170 year old former Sea Captain's home. It became a boarding house in 1918 and then a summer accommodation facility - The Seaside Inn - in 1921, operated by the captain's daughter Marjorie, who ran it for 68 years. We purchased the property after her death in 1994 and reopened it as Salty Towers. In addition to family and other guests we have two cats, Kyle and Moustache who come and go as they please. They generally keep to themselves. We do not serve meals but have kitchen facilities for guests to use if needed. We are up in the morning with coffee and tea for those needing a liquid start to their day.
St. Andrews is our neighbourhood. The town is basically 13 blocks long by 6 blocks wide. We are 4 blocks from the centre of town .... shops restaurants, wharf etc. From the porch we see the harbour and the daily passing of a myriad of people walking. The town is an incredible place. There are scores of things to do without having to get in your car. Art, music, sea life, kayaking, sailing, hiking, great food, architecture, galleries, museums, interesting people....
  • This house is right next to the water and on the main strip. You can step out the front door and walk down to all the cute boutiques and cafes and restaurants. The house is the perfect old character house, perfect for any type of stay you are looking for.

    Justine2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Charming, shabby chic, comfortable, well appointed, perfect location and clean. Creative upcycling of decor items (a saw blade holder as kitchenette towel holder, birch slab with bark still attached as a shelf). If you care about glitz and glamour, this isn't a place for you. But if you want low key and quiet in a place that feels like the old family place on the ocean were the hosts are warm and welcoming, this is the perfect place. We loved it.

    Deborah2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a basic place to stay with great character, this is the place for you! I would definitely stay there again. James was great in communicating with me for my later than expected arrival time.

    Karen2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice and nice!

    Sue2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Salty Towers was awesome and Jamie was a great host. Such a nice guy! He gave us recommendations for dinner and breakfast, and told us where we could get some things we were looking for at the different stores in town. Salty Towers is located within walking distance of the downtown area/the harbour, which was perfect. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Saint Andrews! Thanks again Jamie 😊

    Jess2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our overnight stay at Salty Towers. Jamie is a great host, and the house has so many unique and eclectic components. Our family of four slept great on the comfy beds listening to the rain through our open windows. Jamie also gave us great suggestions for bike riding. If we are ever back in Saint Andrew, and I hope we are, we would love to stay there again.

    Megan2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very responsive, accurate description of the area and house, great recommendations for dog friendly restaurants.

  • Great space, great to stay somewhere with a full kitchen as well!

    Vesta2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • We were so pleased to spend our 10 year Anniversary at Helen's Place. It was such a charming little town and the suite was even better then we could imagine. We were able to cook our own food and relax in a warm comfortable apartment. Helen answered all my questions and directed us to things to see and do around the area. If anyone is looking for a place to stay in St. Andrew's, this is my #1 pick for sure!

Our carriage house is located in the historic heart of town where we can walk to the the shops and restaurants in seconds. It is approximately 80ft from our heritage home and has a private backyard space. Two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen as well as a BBQ in backyard space. Smoke-free space. (No smoking on property) No pets (Sorry - no exceptions)
In this beautiful seaside resort town we are ideally located where we are able to walk downtown or to the end of the wharf in minutes. Our carriage house was re-purposed as a 'family overflow' guest home in 2004. The renovation was done by my 'kind-of-handy-but-clearly-not a-real-carpenter-husband' with love and creativity. It is ideal for 1 or 2 guest but can sleep up to 3 with a single bed in the second bedroom. Both bedrooms have a window and dresser for storage and master bedroom has plenty of closet space. The bathroom is small but does have a full-size tub with shower. We are excited at the opportunity to share this unique place with visitors seeking cottage-style comfort.
  • A lovely spot to stay in St. Andrews!

  • Sylvia’s place is an adorable and comfortable respite just steps away from all the action in Saint Andrews. The carriage house was the perfect set up to enjoy the local flavor and relaxing downtime in your own secret garden bungalow.

  • Clean, spacious, central location to shops, bars, restaurants and waterfront. Well equipped with nice thoughtful personal touches. No live TV but plenty of dvds to watch and books to read. Large outdoor seating and dining area. Highly recommended

    Dennis2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet and Convenient. Serenity in the historic town without giving up convenience.

    M2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • One block off the main street , Sylvia’s place is close to everything but far enough away to be quiet. You will have a quiet, private back yard to sit and relax. The cottage is charming and homey, the bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable, and Sylvia is the nicest lady to talk to and very helpful and responsive. We really loved staying here and will stay here again if we go back to St. Andrews.

Two bedroom, two level apartment on Historic Water Street, St. Andrews by-the-Sea. Located in an 1860's building above a storefront in the heart of the commercial district, this newly renovated apartment has water views, a full kitchen, living space with dining area, and bathroom featuring a vintage claw foot bath tub with shower. The second level features a loft space with two bedrooms - one with a king bed and the other with two singles.
This apartment is well suited for a romantic getaway, girls weekend, or families with older children. Located on the second and third floors, over a business that is operational during the day, for safety and noise reasons this unit is not appropriate for children under the age of 8, infants excepted. Due to the fact that it is on the second and third floors, it is not suitable for those with mobility issues. The sleeping area is divided into two areas- a master with a king and a second bedroom with two twins. French doors separate the master from the second bedroom. Access to the master is through the second bedroom - an arrangement that is best suited for families or close friends. There is also a queen sofa bed in the living area. The bathroom featuring the building’s original claw foot bathtub with shower is located on the second floor adjacent to the living area. This space was recently featured in Maritimes Maven's blog - https://www.maritimesmaven.com/cottagechicbythesea

  • Our visit to St. Andrews was a surprise birthday present for my dearest friend. We've known each other ALL of our lives. This was her 70th Birthday! Could not have asked for a better location. The cottage is well appointed and very stylish. The views are just perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and were greeted by two sweet kitties outside. The cottage is comfortable and very clean. The bed was perfect. The linens top of the line. We did not have any issues where we needed to contact Janis. All in all, a very nice visit and I plan on coming back for a return visit.

Cute little cottage right on the lake and only 15 minutes to beautiful St. Andrews-by-the-Sea! This quirky little place was hand built by my Grampy 70 years ago and has lots of charm. Sip your coffee on the front deck while listening to the loons or enjoy the peace of the breeze through the wild flowers (we feed the bees!).
The cottage is very peaceful with only one direct neighbour! The lake is part of the watershed so only non-motorized sports and engines under 10hp are allowed. It's not unusual to see deer, bunnies and porcupines on and around the property.
  • The cottage is very cozy and well decorated. The view is absolutely breathtaking. It was perfect for a quiet and peaceful weekend getaway.

    Colleen2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nicole was very communicative and quick to reply both before and during the stay. She helped us out when we was looking for a specific kitchen utensil (out of the ordinary) and provided us with it. The cabin is well worth the money and the pictures didn't quite catch the feeling. It looks much more new and cozy in real life. Tucked away just at the lakefront. We had a great time.

    Jesper2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed everything! This cottage is in a quiet peaceful setting . Out of the way but close enough I was still able to tour around the area easily. The cottage was clean , bright and comfortable. I had the best sleep and could cook all my meals there with ease. The lake is beautiful and quiet ,the perfect place to paddleboard. You will not be disappointed staying here .

  • Excellent spot, excellent host...would recommended staying here

  • My wife, our dog and I all stayed here until our long-term accommodations were ready. Douglas is an amazing host! His kindness and care about his guests is truly what makes it a 5star experience. He goes out of his way to make you feel right at home. The cabin is very well setup for short-term accomodations. Nice sitting areas indoors and outdoors. Beautiful view of the water from the living room couch. It's far enough from Douglas' house and in the country to have your privacy, but also super close to St Stephen and St Andrews for things to do. Would and will recommend this location to friends/family who are travelling this way. Thanks again, Douglas and Family!

  • Had an awesome stay! Beautiful location with lots of nearby activities. Cute and cozy place with amazing view of the high tide. Animals on site were the perfect addition and access to kayaks was also great!

    Jamie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Turning Tides is the most adorable “tiny house” imaginable and Doug and his son Matt are the most wonderful, welcoming, hospitable hosts. The tiny house is beautifully done in every way with so much thought, style, and attention to detail. It’s small, but it has it all! We were just passing through, but I could easily have wanted to stay. There were good books to read, movies to watch, and animals to play with, not to mention Doug and Matt. I cant recommend this place more highly. It is a gem.

    Raquel2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Quick one night stay, was the perfect cozy spot after a long drive. Very welcoming and comfortable. Great suggestions on activities in the area. Would have loved a chance to stay longer!

  • Douglas's house Was the most special and amazing place We have ever stayed. We really enjoyed and it was really fun to stay in such a unique place. Douglas was a kind and friendly host. He offered everything that I needed. Also, the kayaking and outdoor seating area were awesome. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house.

  • Cosy cottage, perfect size for a couple's getaway. Great scenery just steps outside, and access to many things to do in St Andrews/Stephen/George area.

  • Beautiful cabin over looking water. Douglas was great to talk to and gave great recommendations for things in the area.

  • We came to St. Andrews for a quiet 2 day visit. Gerri’s place was a perfect stay for a couple. It is snug, but very well appointed. Nice bed, excellent bathroom appliances, and the location was perfect, a few blocks from the town center, but very quiet. Everything about the space was very clean and in mint condition. She also left us provisions for breakfast, and a few added touches, such as champagne and flowers. She was very pleasant to deal with, and I’m sure she’ll qualify as a Superhost. Highly recommended!

    Robert2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Spotless and well thought out place to drop the bags and go exploring. Front deck perfect for coffee. It had the best bathroom facilities of all rented spaces during my two week trip( it’s the little things eh?). Lots of towels provided, a vanity with surface space, and optional water wand or rainforest head in the shower. Kitchenette had just enough(toaster/microwave/coffee maker/fridge) because you will eat out most days anyway. It was a lovely spot to wrap up the last days of vacay!

    Tammy2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was perfect!

    Josee2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our two nights at Gerri’s place very much! The room was very clean, and there were great little details and perks. The location can’t be beat, just steps away from downtown and everything you need.

  • Just down the street from of St. Andrews tourist center & wharf. Clean, comfortable, well decorated room with breakfast nook and nice bathroom. Faces quiet street. Front porch between room & street. Windows on two sides. Only one AirBnb unit in house, with separate entrance off foyer. Short walk to new Van Horn paved trail to Ministers Island. Had nice stay!

    James2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is perfect! Beautiful room, centrally located in a picture perfect town on the bay. The attention to detail that Gerri has paid makes the room a pleasure to stay in... from coffe, tea, juice, and English muffins for breakfast, also a nice little bottle of champagne...beautiful taste and style . The front porch is a great spot to relax, read and people watch! Don’t miss this gem if you are planning on a trip to St.Andrews.

  • Gerri’s space is a clean, comfortable, cozy space that is ideally situated in downtown St. Andrews. It was quiet and afforded us a good night’s sleep in a comfortable bed. We were a stone’s throw from the wharf with beautiful sunsets and views of the water. The rain shower was great. The space was very clean. A welcome note and scones with fruit and other items was a thoughtful touch. We met the host’s daughter who was delightful! The communication was quick and informative.

  • Karen's place was perfect for a last minute getaway to Saint Andrews for my family and me. Her place was spotless and well and warmly decorated with comfortable beds and a well appointed kitchen. The centrally located town house with water views was steps away from all you could possibly want for a relaxing and carefree stay: Coffee house, wine, beer and spirits shop, grocery store, eateries, pubs and a plethora of fun to browse shops, not to mention the waterfront. Our best AirBnb experience yet! Don't hesitate to book.

  • House is exactly as pictured with a perfect location. The views from the back decks are outstanding. Everything was thoughtfully provided for and their care and attention to ensure we enjoyed our stay was evident from the very beginning until after check out. It was a real pleasure to stay at their home and Karen’s Mom is a wonderful host and very nice neighbour. Highly recommend.

  • We can’t say enough amazing things about this house. It is modern, equipped with everything and the view.... The location is perfect, there is enough towels and bedding, it’s spotless, the decks are gorgeous. The robes, slippers, toiletries and local information is an added bonus. Saint Andrews is a charming town and this is the perfect place to enjoy it.

  • You will be amazed - great views, awesome house, and everything you will ever need, and some things you never thought you needed are available to you. Have fun, we will be staying there next year again.

  • Karen and Dave's house is absolutely stunning. I don't think I can even list all of the wonderful parts of this home. The location is unbeatable, the home itself is stunning and every little piece of decor has clearly been carefully chosen. My bridesmaids and I stayed in this house for my wedding weekend and not only did I have the best sleep of my life in the incredible king bed with a deck overlooking the ocean, but the photos my photographer took are just stunning. The bathtub is pure luxury, the shower was a huge hit amongst the bridal party. Seriously I cannot say enough good things. I hope to be back not too long from now for a girls weekend. Thank you Karen and Dave!

  • This is a great spot right on the water in St. Andrews. You can sit in the garden and watch the tide go in and out while local fishing boats make their way out to sea. We like peace and tranquillity and we weren’t disappointed. Listening to waves hit the shoreline is a great way to fall asleep. The apartment is well designed and everything is neat and tidy. The hosts have an outstanding knowledge of the area and answered any questions we had. They were friendly and gracious. We will certainly return!

Oh, it was lovely, all of it, and how extra wonderful that it was within walking distance of fun shops, splendid eateries, and all the local attractions. Off-street parking, a sparkling clean space, and the homemade muffins were such a thoughtful touch! Highly, highly recommended!!

  • The Blue Heron is a wonderful place, decorated beautifully and with many great touches. It’s hard to beat the water front view. Our hosts greeted us with a very warm welcome and provided us with great tips and advice to maximize our stay in amazing St Andrews. Alice-Anne bakes amazing fresh wild blueberry muffins. I would highly recommend this for adult travelers for a party of two or three. We hope to return some time soon.

Located about 8 minutes from St. Andrews, it is within easy reach of extraordinary restaurants, grocery stores, a lively arts scene, great cafes, a world-class golf course, and amazing outdoor adventure opportunities including kayaking, hiking, and whale watching. Small Cabin right by the ocean. Beautiful trails to walk around the property with fields of horses, peacocks, swans and geese. Secluded but only a short drive away from the town of St. Andrews.
  • Wonderful place! Great location, perfect size for our family of 3. Couldn’t ask for more!

  • A perfectly lovely spot to stay, relax and enjoy nature! Krista and Jordy were quick to communicate; they have a sparkling clean cabin; all that you might need is available; and a beautiful beach to walk along and gather sea glass! Like a dream. Highly recommend.

    Brooke2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin, which felt much like a house boat during high tides to offer a true Maritime experience. The off-grid power system was very impressive and managed to run all of the amenities without any problems, and the wood stove was absolutely delightful during our fall stay. We have already recommended this place to many of our friends and family. Thank you, Krista & Jordy for sharing this special place.

    Mike2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing view at what seems like the end of world. Million dollar view makes you just want to curl up in front of the fireplace or on the deck and watch the tides roll in and out.

    Gary2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • By far our best Airbnb experience to date. This was our first time visiting New Brunswick and The Artists Cabin is exactly how we’d imagined East Coast Living — private, relaxing, comfortable, breath taking, easy and the most beautiful sounds and sights we could imagine. Thank you for allowing us the much needed 2 days of relaxation after 2 years of planning a wedding. We could not have picked a better place to start our honeymoon and we are forever grateful.

    Josh2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Follow Krista’s very specific directions, and you will discover a tiny cabin on the brink of the Bay! Inside is a quiet and warm space with just enough, but not too much, to enjoy your stay! The many panés of glass easily frame the beauty of the water and the coastline. We drank wine, read, walked the shore and slept in our short stay. An easy distance from the vibrant town of St. Andrews also. We found the cabin completely clean , the bed very comfortable, and the information provided thorough.the only thing we noticed was the front door was weathered and quite hard to close, and there are a few rotten slats on the doorstep. Otherwise, just lovely! Thanks, and we will be back next year!

    Caroline2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We met on our long trip to Canada many beautiful place and nice hosts. However, Krista and Jordy and their Artist's Cabin are unequaled. A really nice holiday home with a magnificent view of the bay. And the two hosts are so welcoming and helpful, it could not be better.

    André2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • A simply beautiful spot beyond compare. It’s as close to the bay as you’ll get before you’re swimming... so fun to watch all the birds (loons, herons, ducks and more) cruise by all morning, and walk the trails along the beach. The wood stove is awesome for a chilly night in, and we loved watching sunrise from inside in the morning. Krista and Jordy were amazing hosts as well. Don’t miss this spot! And be sure to get a reservation for dinner at The Rossmount Inn, which was delicious! Also recommend hiking around Ministers Island, which is very beautiful and fun to see.

The spaces at Salty Towers have been welcoming travelers for close to 100 years. It is not for everyone, but thousands have enjoyed it and many make regular stops. This Studio apartment is about 70-80 years old and its character reflects its age.
This studio apartment is a bright ground level space with a separate entrance. This makes it separate from the main house and as such guests here will not likely interact with other guests. It features a double bed, a small kitchen space and eating/sitting area as well as bathroom with shower. It is basic/rustic and comfortable/cozy. No television (thank goodness). Electric heat available if necessary. Close to all local amenities. Another occupied apartment across the hall. Relatively easy access (3 steps up to deck) and right off the driveway/parking area. Small kitchen gives guests option of cooking their own meals.
St Andrews is our neighbourhood. The town is basically 13 blocks long by 6 blocks wide. Easy to get around on foot. Interesting colonial and post colonial architecture: shops and restaurants are 4 blocks away, the harbour is across the street and walking trails are a few hundred meters away.
  • The room was cute and cozy and a literal stone’s throw away from the water. We will be back for sure

Enjoy the beauty of nature at your doorstep in this hand crafted log cabin located directly on the Bay of Fundy with panoramic views of the ocean. Experience some of the highest tides in the world and walk on the ocean floor at low tide. 160 forested acres, beach and 3000 feet of ocean frontage. 15 minutes from the picturesque resort village of St. Andrews by the Sea. The property host lives up the road and will greet you upon arrival.
Your neighbors are year round local residents including artists, chefs, lobster fishermen, aquaculture workers, carpenters, health care workers and retirees. A number of the neighbors are summer residents from across Canada and the US who own vacation homes on Holts Point. Some of the families run small farms with goats, chickens and bee hives. It is a very friendly community of people who love living by the sea in New Brunswick.
  • This is an amazing, wonderful and beautifully designed house with lovely views of the Ocean! Everything is even more beautiful than the photos. The house is very clean and well kept. • What a find! My husband, I, and our golden retriever truly enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing five nights at this amazing, special spot. This one-of-a-kind, charming log cabin had a wonderful, private location with amazing views. Want quality down time? A well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and furnishings, large deck, and proximity to the bay are all you need to stay put if you so desire. We were sad to leave. I highly recommend staying at this exceptional cabin. Many thanks to Jackie for sharing her family property.

  • My husband and I spent a wonderful quiet week at this beautiful ocean front cottage. It is full of warm, rustic charm and is the perfect spot to relax and explore the amazing sights of the Bay of Fundy and Passamaquoddy Bay. From the deck we saw seals and spent many hours enjoying the ever changing tides. There are rugged hiking trails throughout the property that wind along the sea cliffs and it’s close proximity to St Andrews for all amenities. Jackie was a lovely host and I couldn’t recommend the cottage more!

    Emily2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage has the amenities you need while exuding rustic homemade charm. Functional and comfortable. There is an expansive deck overlooking the ocean which is literally a stones throw. Watch the tides come in and out, comb the beach and watch the incredible sunsets... close to St. Andrews but completely secluded.

Salty Towers is a unique accommodation facility owned by adventurous souls Deb Farlow and James Steel. They have been welcoming travellers, artists, musicians and others with adventurous spirits for more than 20 years. Room 8 is a corner room with windows on two sides. It has a double bed & shares a bathroom, however there is a sink in the room. Basic but comfortable.
Salty Towers is an old house! The earliest construction dates to 1825. The main house is a 1903 renovation of an 1840's home. It was subsequently added to in the 1940's. We are always trying to keep it in decent shape but it does have the signs of old age! It is our home and as such we often have locals (friends) visiting or we may be hosting a dinner party or some music. We usually encourage participation. There are often other guests staying as well, especially in summer so it's likely you will not be the only one staying. We want guests to use the public spaces in the house and not feel like they have to "hide" in their rooms.
  • We had a lovely one night stay at salty towers. James and his partner are incredibly lovely. We had missed a turn on our way and ended up lost and arrived quite late at night but James waited up for us and that was greatly appreciated. The place is gorgeous and our bed was very comfortable! There are two friendly cats as well. Would definitely recommend.

  • James and his Salty Towers offer the most authentic and unique experience in St. Andrews. The host is awesome, the town a true gem and so worth the visit.

  • St. Andrews is a Perfect stop to relax and enjoy. It’s the same for James house. We had a cute double room with shared bathroom. We would come again, for sure!!

  • Amazing place, ‘unique en son genre’ Salty towers is an original mix between a hostel in Latin America, and an easy access art gallery. Jamie and Deb are passionate about what they do as we feel welcome right away. Conviviale, chaleureux et simple sont trois mots pour bien décrire l’endroit :)

    Caroline2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a quaint place that is very very cozy! The rooms are cozy. No problem with the shared bathroom. Nice fire downstairs in the living room that we really enjoyed. It is a old house, BEAUTIFUL place - being older the walls are very thin in the bedrooms so hopefully you have quiet neighbors. There was someone who was skyping very loudly in the room next to us very very early in the morning. If you can be a courteous neighbor that can be respectful of others, this place is perfect for you! And it is on the main street of St. Andrews- so it is the perfect location to explore.

Private & entire loft suite with beautiful ocean frontage & view. The guest suite is a large studio that is 900 square feet and includes a full kitchen (stove, microwave, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, and keurig coffee maker) that is stocked with everything except the food. Also includes a full bath (with shower, no tub). Complete with a full size washer and dryer in the suite (and laundry detergent). 3 large windows with a full view of the ocean from anywhere in the suite. Pets welcome.
The suite is a large, welcoming, open space with an amazing view of the ocean. There is ocean access on the property (hilly, rocky ocean front). You could fish in the ocean right from the property! **Please note that we are still working on improvements to the suite. There is still some trim work that needs to be completed. However the suite is set up to provide you a comfortable and amazing stay!! The guest suite is the entire upper floor above our 2 car garage (we do not park cars in the garage) and is separated from our house by a breezeway (with 2 solid-core doors on either side of the breezeway - so you won't hear us, we won't hear you). So you have a private entrance, and complete privacy in the suite. The washer & dryer are private also for the suite. (No one to share it with). The guest suite has a king size bed. We have a large air mattress that we can set in the suite if needed for additional sleeping space. Just let me know in advance. The full kitchen inside the guest suite is complete with dishes, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, spices - pretty much everything except the food. There are some snacks & drinks in the suite that are for your enjoyment, free of charge. About 1/4 mile down the road is a beach area where you could clam or take out a kayak. We do have a single person sit-on kayak that you are welcome to take out on calm days. The guest suite has a 60" flat screen tv & dish network. Also includes wifi - although our wifi is not super high speed. The TV also has Netflix & Amazon Prime on it. Unfortunately, the guest suite is not wheelchair accessible. There are stairs going up to the guest suite. The stairwell is inside, so weather is not a problem. There is a large parking area, so a medium sized trailer or several cars would not be a problem. Pets are welcome. Just let me know what to expect. We have 2 small dogs, but they will not be in the area of the guest suite. The property is an acre, so if you have pets there is plenty of room for them to run around. Self check-in is available if we aren't going to be around when you arrive. Instructions will be given prior to arrival. As a side note, we've decided to call our property "Rooster Bay" because we have a metal rooster on the mailbox. Although no live chickens are on the property :) I have a soft spot for rescue dogs & for metal roosters/chickens. So you might see a few of each on the property! ❤ We are actually located on East Bay in the Bay of Fundy.
We are located a little less than a mile down a private, dirt road. It is accessible by car most of the year. If it has recently snowed, I would recommend a front-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle. The snow is plowed in the winter (daily if needed). There are several homes down the private road, but no other homes are visible from our property. You are welcome to walk or hike in the area.
  • This is probably the best Air BnB I’ve ever stayed at. I stayed here with my boyfriend for a night and Chireen made it so special for us with the sweetest touches. This place included the best amenities and had THE BEST view. Cute, quiet place and a great getaway! Will definitely stay again if I am in the area!

  • I had a wonderful time staying here. Chireen is very good with communication and has made everything from getting there to getting into the place so easy. The snacks and heated mattress may have been my favorite parts. The view is absolutely gorgeous as well. I would love to stay here again! Thank you!

  • So many thoughtful touches to this place. It was even better than what we expected! Beautiful and they provided everything you needed(and more!).

    Tina2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • My reason for travel was for something especially stressful and Chireen’s place provided me with an oasis away. The view that you wake up to is breathtaking and your stay will be very private. I wish I could rate my stay a 10 star rating but alas I am confined by Airbnb’s 5 star maximum.

The accommodation is a private room in a bungalow. Bright and comfy - feels like you're at summer camp. Deer often frequent the back yard. 10 min walk to Katy's Cove for swimming and the famous Algonquin resort. 20 min walk - (2 min drive) to beautiful downtown St Andrews by-the-Sea (URL HIDDEN) The bathroom pictured includes a large (2person) jacuzzi and walk-in shower. Coffee and tea available.
Our space is open and bright. It backs onto a large yard with woods in the back. It just feels like you're on vacation 365 days of the year. The back deck is private and affords spotting of a variety of birds and the occasional deer family.
It is St Andrews by-the-Sea. When Canada Day is in full force on Water Street we are blissfully quiet in 'the subdivision'.
  • friendly hospitality; warm , clean and comfortable home in quiet neighbourhood; easy access to nature or the town.

  • Lovely home, spotlessly clean, with comfortable bed, the use of Ed and Susan's sitting room, breakfast coffee provided, and a bathroom with great shower, huge towels and even a jacuzzi! Ed and Susan are exceptionally welcoming hosts, and we thoroughly enjoyed our all too short stay there.

    Myra2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Susan and Ed were thoughtful and kind hosts. They answered all my questions and made me feel welcomed. I would recommend their place to anyone staying in St Andrews.

    Ivana2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Susan and Ed were wonderful hosts. We had use of the kitchen, and their beautiful backyard. They gave us wonderful information regarding restaurants and things to do. You must try the Gable Restaurant. Order the seafood chowder.

  • Perfect location to visit the heart of St Andrew's by the Sea while enjoying peace and quiet outside the downtown bustle. Susan and Ed's home is warm and inviting with a sense of peace about it. They are both personable and offer great travel information about both their local area and Maine. Great stay, hope to do it again next year.

Ever dreamed of finding private seaside solitude on the rocky Maine coast? Camelot sits upon an isolated thirty-foot cliff overlooking the Atlantic. At high tide, waves crash against the sandstone rocks. At low tide, a hundred feet of beach is revealed for shell collecting, clam digging and rock skipping. With no roads within a half mile, you might not see another soul during your stay. Enjoy peaceful off-grid cabin life. Campfire cookouts, stunning views, and cozy beds.
Camelot is a 420 sq.ft. A-frame cabin built by my father in 1965, and completely renovated in 2018. It has a small upstairs loft with a twin bed, perfect for kids. On the main floor it has a queen bed, a sofa, another twin bed, and coffee table. The oceanside deck has 4 comfy camp chairs overlooking Canada across the bay. A hammock swings between two big Maine birch trees. It is off-grid. No electricity. No heating. No running water. No TV. No wifi. It is a comfortable, peaceful getaway, as it has an outhouse, a 5 gallon solar shower, a huge marine 120 quart cooler that will keep food cold for up to 6 days, a 5 gallon drinking water cooler, a big propane cooking grill, a small propane campstove for morning coffee and eggs, and battery LED lanterns for evenings. It is stocked with everything you need - plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, silverware, coffee French press, sheets, pillows, blankets, Scrabble, playing cards, a big Bluetooth speaker (crank it up- there's no one around to complain!) Dogs and cats are welcome!
You are in the Maine woods! No human neighbors whatsoever for over a half mile in any direction. Complete isolation. You will see lots of birds, and possibly seals.
  • Beautiful spot! We spent a lot of time looking for sea glass on the beach, it was refreshing to be alone and disconnected from technology, highly recommend!

    Trish2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin! Exactly what we were hoping, a real getaway. Wish I could have stayed longer.

    Alice2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is an amazing spot for a relaxing off grid getaway. Sam provides clear information for what to expect and has thoughtful touches throughout. The beach and the view are spectacular.

    Nancy2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This offers a unique experience of off-grid living. The cabin is very basic but very comfortable with everything you need to enjoy your stay. We had signal all the time and offers you a way to charge your phone in your car. The view is amazing, and the nights are even better, very quiet, secluded and with lots of stars. The only downside for some people might be the outhouse, and no heat inside the cabin aside from plenty of heavy blankets (although we didn't have any issues in our short stay). It was a great experience overall, if you want to stay in a unique place to enjoy nature and completely disconnect and enjoy a quiet moment in nature, then this is the place, you will not regret it.

    Paolo2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Simply the best location for a Maine getaway. Private beach, and no one around for a 1/4mile in any direction. Beautiful cabin in scenic Maine.

    Robert2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an excellent time at Camelot. The views cannot be beat - and we woke up early both mornings to walk the beach at low tide and watch the sunrise. We loved loitering at Pulpit Rock, a short distance south along the beach. Sam has thought of everything in the cabin - from the griddle to the binoculars to a can of cooking spray, which we forgot. We hung out by the campfire (bought wood from the neighbor, which was super convenient) and took in the scenery - the ocean, the seals. Like other guests, we found loads of sand dollars and beach glass. We kicked on the heater for a little bit before bed - but were totally cozy during our stay. During the day we hiked at Cutler Coast and also Campobello Island, and Camelot was the perfect base camp. Thank you again, we will definitely be back!

    Shannon2019-09-29T00:00:00Z

  • Great place for glamping. Our tent had all the comforts of home. And our own bathroom, though in order to shower must walk to shared building. Everything was clean and just as advertised. Breakast was good. Along the lines of continental breakfast. Michael was friendly. In shared building there is a massage chair, it is the cadillac of massage chairs. Check it out.

This is a single room that shares a bathroom (suitable for one person) in Salty Towers, a unique accommodation facility owned by adventurous souls Deb Farlow and James Steel. They have been welcoming travelers, artists, musicians and others with adventurous spirits for more than 20 years.
Salty Towers (and its predecessor The Seaside Inn) has been welcoming guests for close to 100 years. This listing is for one single room suitable for one individual. Don't be surprised to see musicians strumming on the porch, artists lounging in the living room and others of uncertain provenance swapping stories around the stove in the kitchen. Guest have access to two kitchens, a number of common areas, great porch and yard. WiFi available. Salty Towers is our home and we are present when folks are staying with us. St. Andrews is our neighbourhood. We are 4 blocks from the centre of town, the wharf, shops and restaurants. We see the harbour from the front porch and the comings and goings of a myriad of walkers. St. Andrews itself is 13 blocks by 6 blocks, more or less. Walking and bicycle are preferred means of transport. St. Andrews is a remarkable place with scores of things to see and do without having to get into a car. Everything from live music (sometimes at Salty Towers), kayaking, art shows and great food, opera and theatre (both seasonal) to viewing sea life, hiking and sailing.
St. Andrews is our neighbourhood. The town is basically 13 blocks long by 6 blocks wide. We are 4 blocks from the centre of town .... shops restaurants, wharf etc. From the porch we see the harbour and the daily passing of a myriad of people walking. We'll recommend places to eat, where to hear music and what attractions are worth visiting. Deb works at a local watering hole The Red Herring...we often start there!!
  • Gracious host, firm bed, clean bathroom! Bonus was the quirkiness of the house, with lots of timeless character... so much history within these walls. I love how the architecture was true to the period and the artifacts were steeped with history. I would come back again!

This well maintained, elegant old home is situated in the heart of town. The town's pubs and restaurants are a short walk away. Continental breakfast is included. On parle francais. Well appointed rooms with King-sized or full bed sharing one bathroom with shower. High ceilings and large windows provide a sense of luxury and comfort. Living room with large wide screen TV or sit in the second-floor foyer to read or relax. There is also a large porch to sit and sip a cold one or just watch the world go by. We interact with our guests as much or as little as they wish. Saint Andrews is well known for the warmth and friendliness of its people. We are three blocks from the water, the wharf and the whale-watching boats -- close enough for easy access but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. Saint Andrews has no public transit.
Historical town where one can go whale watching, cylcing, walking, visit the aquarium, Kingsbrae Gardens, go to the beach or play golf at the Algonquin.
  • Great place to stay, 5 minute walk to main street and the harbour. I had to leave before breakfast, so they left me a snack to take with me. Banana bread was amazing. so was ht home made jam and yogurt.

  • Lucie’s B&B in St. Andrews, New Brunswick is the first Airbnb we’ve been to. It was delightful! Lucie informed us of her favorite restaurants - we went to two of them and had delicious meals. She gave us suggestions for sights to see, and we planned out Friday and Saturday schedules based on her suggestions that took us to all the places we wanted to see. A “bonus extra” was continental breakfast including coffee and juice, fruit and homemade breads and jams. We’re new to Airbnb, and we’ll be amazed if we find this kind of hospitality anywhere else. The location is a 100-year-old home in the center of the original “downtown” of St. Andrews, so you’re within walking distance or an easy drive to restaurants, shops and sightseeing. It’s a lovely, nicely decorated, quiet spot for a wonderful weekend, or more.

    Bill2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Lucie's was perfect. The hospitality was great, the breakfast was amazing the conversation with the other guests and the hosts was enjoyable. Lucie had great tips for us during our stay which made our trip even more enjoyable. This is a beautiful old house that feels warm and welcoming.

The accommodation is a private room in a bungalow. We want your stay to be relaxing. Katy's Cove, the Van Horne Trail and the Algonquin are all a 10 minute walk. We have a beautiful white kitty, so do not welcome other furry friends. We're here if you would like advice or directions, but otherwise will stay out of your way. This room is south facing, so gets the morning sun.
There is a small fridge, toaster, coffee maker and dishes for your use to get you started in the morning.
  • Susan and Ed are very accommodating and super friendly! Their house is in a great central location. They gave us great advice on seeing the area. Can’t say enough good things! We hope to visit them again!

  • Staying at Susan and Ed’s place was like staying with family. My friend and I booked last minute for a night away and we were not disappointed. The room was bright and their home has a beautiful bathroom with a jet tub. We both really enjoyed the hot coffee and conversation in the morning. 5 stars ⭐️

Our home is located on the main street of downtown Saint Andrews, just 4 small blocks from the town wharf (about 3 minutes away). It was built in 1810. Our updated 200 year old home has most of the comforts people are accustomed to today. Your private area includes two connected rooms - a king bedroom and sitting room with pull-out couch, plus a bathroom (with shower, no tub). The private suite is located on the main floor. It’s bright, spacious, has central heat and air conditioning.
Other convenience items are available as well, TV (cable, Netflix, HBO), mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. You also have use of the common area of the home that includes the main floor living room and fully equipped kitchen. Guests have access to the yard, patio furniture and BBQ. Parking is available. We are the third family to own our home. It was originally built in 1810 for loyalist Robert Pagan who owned the home for 59 years. William E. Mallory purchased the home in 1879 and obtained a livery contract with the Canadian Pacific Railway transporting guests and their luggage from the railway station to the Algonquin Hotel (source historicplaces.ca). We purchased the home in December of 2018. We have three suites in total, the other two are on the second floor. East suite: https://abnb.me/RvMeOnAKG3 West suite: https://abnb.me/NJ8AR1kKG3
We’re located just 3 houses away from the water. There is boat launch access from the end of our street. Saint Andrews is a small town but has most of the major things you’ll need including various restaurants, whale watching & sightseeing tours, pharmacy, liquor store, grocery store, gift shops, post office, a Scotia Bank branch and more. If you have children, there is a huge play structure in town that rivals most major city parks!
  • A special secret in saint Andrews. The South suite has great proximity to the shared funky kitchen

  • Excellent experience! It's actually 2 rooms connected by the door (wasn't clear to us from description). Plenty of space, nicely decorated and clean. Kitchen is equiped with everything you need. Location is leterally in the heart of the city. Communication with host/check-in went smoothly!

    Elena2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best air bnb stays we have had! The south wing is large and spacious. Has a little fridge and microwave in it as well as coffee equipment. Bed is amazing!! Wife and I have been on the road for a while and have stayed in approx 20 Airbnb's around the world in the last 5 months and this was the best sleep we have had this far. Perfect location and beautiful old house.

    Max2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Wherever I write will not do justice to the place. The location is perfect - at the city's main street, close to all the cute stores, great restaurants and boat trips companies. The house is amazing. Built in 1810, so it carries the classical architecture from the region, and the inside decorated with a contemporary style. We can see that the hosts thought about each detail. The place was also very clean, tidy. We loved the experience in Saint Andrews and one of the main reasons, for sure, was our Airbnb. Can't wait to come back!

Salty Towers Room 3 is a bright corner room with views to the harbour across the street. It has a double bed and a single pull out couch & private bathroom ensuite. It is one of 10 rooms in the house & can be booked for one night or many nights. All guests have the use of kitchen space (we do not serve meals unless by special arrangement) and common areas in the house, including a great front porch which not only hosts great conversations but occasional music events as well.
St Andrews is our neighbourhood. The town is a national treasure. The architecture, the art, the history. Many say "It all started here"! It was just upriver at St Croix Island where French explorers initiated the first permanent European settlement north of the Carolina's. Through time Canada evolved.
  • Jamie was very accommodating despite my later-than-expected arrival. The room was comfortable and I appreciated having my own bathroom. Everything was clean. Would definitely stay there again.

    Patrick2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a rambling, romantic Captain’s house with nooks and crannies galore. Each space was decorated with art and eclectic collections. I would describe the decor as perfect shabby chic. The location is outstanding and James is a personable and friendly guy. This place is memorable and unique. I would heartily recommend to anyone who is up for something a little different.

  • James was very easy to communicate with and we were offered an upgrade to a suite with kitchen. He was there to meet us at check in and gave us some good local tips! The Salty Towers is in an amazing location as it is on the main strip of town. We were very pleased with our stay.
