Stunning Ocean Front - Deer Island NB Canada

This house was built by Captain George W. Cook in early 1800s. He was the Captain of a merchant sailing vessel called the Jed F. Duren. a large vessel at 112 tons. Two of Captain George W Cook's original navigation maps are mounted in the house. The home is reminiscent of days of sea and sail. The house is really cool and the waterfront and sunrise views are amazing! This century home meets today's standards of comfort and safety. It is now owned by a Captain Parker - a local lobster fisherman.

The Whale of a View Cottage has amazing unobstructed views of the ocean and the whales, seals and eagles that pass by the cottage. The Whale cottage is private and sits on a cliff overlooking the water. The cottage also has great outdoor spaces with an attached screened in room, attached open deck and a screened in gazebo located on a lower cliff overlooking the water with open decks. Dining alfresco is easy on the screened porch, open deck or in the screened in gazebo. Enjoy your Stay!

The second floor, with a cathedral ceiling and old wooden beams has 2 trundle beds that convert to 4 twins, a kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, convection oven, stove top, and coffeemaker. There is a dining table, dining table, two sofas, a large screen smart TV, and WiFi. A private deck overlooks the property.
