Our Swedish inspired forest cabin is the perfect peaceful get away for nature lovers! This rustic cabin is nestled in a fairy-tale like forest setting, and is just a short way to an amazing private community beach. Come visit the island you can drive to! Our cabin is a perfect getaway for nature lovers, beach walkers, and those seeking to unplug. Set on 3.5 acres, our guests enjoy privacy, and access nearby community-owned beach, which is a short drive or walk away.
This rustic, secluded cabin is an ideal weekend getaway: Camano Island connects to the mainland via bridge. It is a 70 mile drive from downtown Seattle, (usually about 1.5 hours), but feels a world away. This is the perfect spot for a couple's get away, girlfriend's reunion, or small family. Parties and after hours noise are discouraged. If you are looking for a larger space please check out our new "Puget Sound View Cabin + Beach". It shares the same amazing beach as this, but features a gorgeous water view and two bedrooms. Please take a peek at the adventures at both cabins on our Instagram page. We are camano.cabins. The Forest Cabin features wide-plank pine floors, a full kitchen, and charming gas stove with a window. The sleeping loft is accessed by secure ladder and features a queen bed with down comforter and all cotton bedding. Downstairs there is a convertible sofa bed that is great for kids - extra bedding is provided. While we do allow up to four guests please note: this is a small space ideal for two adults. The sofa bed is great for kids, but extra adults may not find it a comfortable alternative to a 'real bed'. The kitchen has been thoughtfully appropriated with a French coffee press, a variety of pots, pans, and utensils. We have tried to cover all the basics and you'll find some food staples to use such as oil, salt, and pepper. Please enjoy our collection favorite games and books. Pet Policy Dogs welcome with permission (not allowed on furniture, please clean-up pet waste, and sweep/vacuum up pet hair). A pet fee of $20 will be billed upon checking out, or you may leave payment upon checking out. The following conditions apply: no more than 2 dogs, owners clean up inside and outside after the dog(s), the dogs are under the owners' control both at the beach and the cabin, no dogs on the furniture or in the sleeping loft. The cabin sits on a very private 3.5 wooded acres with trails throughout. A private community-owned sandy beach is a short but steep, 10-15 minute walk on the road, or a couple minutes by car. The beach is sheltered, and faces west to Whidbey Island. The Saratoga Passage hosts abundant wildlife, fishing, and beautiful sunsets. We have the beach completely to ourselves, more often than not! In summer you can pick berries, fish, swim, and catch crab. We've got beach umbrellas and sitting mats for you to use. (Please bring your own beach towels if you want one.) Watch the gray whale migration in Spring. In winter, bundle up and see how far along the driftwood-strewn shore you can walk. Please note that there is a short but steep path/trail to get on the beach. It's about the height of a short flight of stairs, but dirt. Guests with limited mobility may only be able to access the beach when the tide is low and one can walk on to the beach via the boat ramp. There is a fully accessible place to sit and enjoy the view above the beach path for those not able or wanting to access the beach. Our guests always comment on how quiet and peaceful our cabin is, and we could not agree more. The stress of city life just melts away and time seems to slow down a bit when you've got nothing on your agenda but to build a fire, open a bottle of wine or take a walk. You'll be surprised what a couple of days away can do! The cabin is about 1.5 hours from Seattle, 1.5 hours from the Anacortes/San Juan Ferry, 45 minutes from Mount Vernon and the Skagit Valley. Check in time is any time after 3:00. Check out of the cabin is 11AM, but you're welcome to use the beach all day. If you need to make other check in/out arrangements I will be flexible if possible. You'll find several good grocery stores on the way in Stanwood to stock up on provisions. The Elger Bay market is 5 miles away with basics, fishing supplies and gas. They also fill growlers of beer and we have an empty growler for your use at the cabin. We keep our guest interaction to a minimum because most guests are looking for a secluded get-away. We are happy to give advice on the area, and will answer questions and concerns promptly. The community of Summerland is a collection of homes and cabins on wooded and beach-front lots. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet with community access to one of the best beaches on the island! Stanwood, LaConner, and Mount Vernon are close enough for dinner with fantastic restaurant choices. Please note: There is no wifi or internet service. We have a strong cell signal with AT&T. Guests with other carriers report good service, especially at the beach. Additionally, please note that this is NOT a luxury vacation rental - while we do keep the cabin maintained to a high standard, you may see a spider, ant or such. The cabin is located in an untamed forest setting: bugs, mice, deer, birds, stinging nettles and everything that makes the Great Northwest wild exist here at the cabin. Here's a partial list of what we have at the cabin for your use: French Press hair dryer complete kitchen with toaster microwave oven ice bedding bath towels beach rug (please bring your own beach towels) beach umbrellas that screw into the sand small charcoal bbq basic toiletries & first aid deck chairs
Camano Island has a handful of good restaurants and pubs, two state parks, thrift and antiques shopping, and more. A great low-key island to explore!
  • Very cozy stay on the island. Clean and quite, just a short drive to the beach.

    Mitch2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy and tastefully decorated spot. Easy to keep warm, full kitchen which is fun to cook in, and comfy bed! I didn’t want to leave!

  • This was our second time staying here. We loved just as much as the first time!

    Julie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is perfect for a weekend escape! The place has everything you need and the fireplace and other touches really makes it feel like home. Would definitely recommend!

    Kathryn2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect little cabin nestled off into the woods. Private, quiet and a short walk to the beach. The cabin has everything you need to prepare meals, the bed was so comfortable, there was extra bedding and blankets if needed. The fireplace was cozy and the outdoor firepit was a perfect ending to the day, the weather was great so the stars were out and lovely to gaze at while roasting marshmallows over the fire. I will definitely be back!

    Leah2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is absolutely adorable!!! Secluded, quiet, but still with local beach access a short jaunt away! The fireplace was so cozy, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook up a nice dinner, and the loft bed gave us the best night sleep we've had in months. All in all, an incredible spot, and I can't wait to come back! Thank you, Elizabeth!

    Anna2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous little cabin the woods. The beach nearby is just unbelievably gorgeous. We watched the sunset and just marveled at all the colors in the sky and water. The cabin has all the amenities you could want and I would come back in a heartbeat.

    Megan2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a sweet little island getaway! The cabin was super cozy with a warm fireplace surrounded by woods. We had a great time walking along the nearby beach. Very peaceful and relaxing.

We invite you to experience a relaxing and rejuvenating 'Retreat' or Get-A-Way in our Tree Home Suite on Whidbey Island WA...just 1 hour north of Seattle. Our nurturing gift to you is providing delicious and nutritious continental breakfasts every morning you are here. You'll surely transend the bustle of busy life and be transformed as you immerse yourselves in this incredibly peaceful and healing environment. Enjoy 'full-circle' views of rich woods in our 250 Sq ft Octagon Tree Home with a gorgeous cedar tree going straight up through the center of the living space! A solid stairway travels 13 ft above the ground, leading to the 10' x 12' covered deck and your doorway to heavenly rest and retreat! Surround windows and skylights in the roof peak allow you to feel what it's like to be completely immersed in a beautiful, serene, healing forest of cedar, fir, hemlock, maple, alders, varieties of fern...and oh...enjoy watching and listening to our 'resident' deer, owls, ravens, eagles and many other birds. Look up through the skylight roof peak to behold a seemingly unending kaleidoscope view of tree limbs circling their trunks as they reach high in the sky. Be sure to see all the photos posted above including views of the beach, water and stunning sunsets over the Olympic Mountains.....easily accessible, less than 1/2 mile away. This gem is best suitable for adults, but we do allow children 12 and older too. Three adults can manage better than 4 because the hide-a-bed is a 'half-way-between-twin-and-double' size. However it has slats and an excellent quality foam mattress so it does not have the typical hide-a-bed 'bars' to contend with, nor does it sink in the middle. We provide single-sized, thick and dense foam pads and linens when needed for extra people. Please feel free to ask us how we can best meet your unique needs. Accommodations in the one Tree House include: Queen Bed, "Sort of" Double Hide-a-bed Sofa (see paragraph above), Desk, Dining Table, Free Wi-Fi, TV moniter for viewing DVD's/VHS. A thermostatically controlled radiator heater AND electric 'Fireplace' add warmth and ambiance. We provide a fridge (with freezer), microwave, dishes and silverware for prep and eating simple meals, warmed up left-overs, etc. We just don't allow 'cooking', using hot plates or fry pans, etc.... The fire pit may be used to enjoy a campfire and grill or roast hamburgers, hotdogs and marshmallows. Substantial cooking here with your own cooking equipment is not encouraged, because that would require more extensive 'clean-up' than just a few dishes and utensils Our drain field is small and we want to keep the flow of gray water into it 'frugal' and biodegradable as much as possible. We provide a tasty continental breakfast to enjoy at your leisure. Your own private (and VERY cute) Shower House just a few footsteps away provides a shower, sink and state-of-the-art, no-odor composting toilet. We do have a porta-potty (marine type) on the deck of the Tree House for the middle-of-the-night needs so you don't have to trudge down in the dark to the composting toilet in the Shower House. Please read the house rules before you reserve to see if this type of accommodation is right for you.
  • If you are looking for a cozy and peaceful place to unwind from the daily grind this is THE ultimate relaxation station. This rustic treehouse is located on a quiet property and only minutes from the store or the beach.

  • What an amazing treehouse - would highly recommend

    Quazie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A truly awesome spot combined with Kens local tips about the local hot spots made it a great time

    Evan2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Ken's treehouse was an incredible experience. He has crafted a truely magical stay on his property.

    Robert2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place is even cooler in person than I already thought from the pictures. I came here alone to get away from the city for the weekend, and could not recommend it more highly. The hosts thought of absolutely everything, down to a pair of scissors to cut open the honey sticks for your tea. The treehouse is very well-lit due to the 360 deg windows and skylights, but feels very private with the surrounding trees. And they leave you a breakfast in your mailbox in the morning! I had a great time.

    Jittania2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a quiet, woodsy experience that is far from the hustle bustle city, this is it! The treehouse is decorated very thoughtfully and comfortably. The continental breakfast is an extra touch that went a long way. The bathroom is also surprisingly clean and warm. Book this if you're looking for a refreshing break from the norm.

    Tuyen2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ken’s treehouse is magical! From the rope swing, sparkling lights, fairy house, and house itself, this place is wonderful. I loved getting breakfast in the mailbox in the AM- I haven’t stayed at an Airbnb where breakfast is provided and it was really appreciated since there’s no kitchen too. I totally forgot once I got there that there wasn’t a kitchen but it was totally fine to just have snacks and eat out. This is a beautiful relaxing spot that’s good for a shorter visit since no kitchen. I loved waking up to the trees surrounding me, hearing owls in the night and a rooster in the AM. Double Bluff beach is super close and I went for a swim in the AM. Thanks Ken for your magical spot!

Light-filed little refuge in the woods. Writers retreat, quiet womb like space; a place for solace and introspective. Deer, birds, nature watching, reading, calm, sweet- heart time. Near the House, also for rent by the night, but both very private.
During the COVED-19 virus time: I do accept bookings. I also have been self quarantining for 2 weeks; my life usually is not that different :-) I wipe down all the door knobs and light switches and most of the things a guest may touch. I wash all linens in hot water. Bring your own cooked meals or deli-style food. Feel free to ask questions. Welcome to this charming, private cottage. Winter price is $79.- with some higher prices on Holidays & summer season:) ALL KIND PEOPLE WELCOME, no matter what religion-, sexual orientation- or country you are from! The Cottage is set near the Small Whidbey Island House, which is totally overgrown and hardly visible from the cottage. It is set among the trees on 3 acres on beautiful Whidbey Island, 2 miles from the town of Freeland (antique stores, grocery store, post office, etc., etc.), about 5 miles from my favorite beach, "Double Bluff", that holds stunning views of the Cascade Mountains, Mt. Rainier, and the Olympic Mountains with miles of walking. The cottage is a cozy, light- filled and airy space with its high ceiling and many windows and skylights. The stand up sleeping loft has an opening window and the skylight for a more spacious feel, as well as a comfy double size bed and a writing desk and chair. And because of the wire railing, it is not suited for children. Sorry for that. The galley kitchen is equipped with an under the counter fridge, a apartment size gas range, a toaster, a coffee maker, coffee plunger, an electric tea kettle, all the dishes and basic condiments. It has a granite and a butcher top counter. There is Italian tile on the bathroom floor as well as in the shower. There is plenty of closet space in case you decide to stay longer. You may lounge on the inviting window bench seat to take in the open forest view, or enjoy the WiFi to write those long- due letters on your computer. Have your morning breakfast under the porch and listen to the birds. Either way, this super quiet romantic place for two will leave you nurtured and nourished by its splendid green views and quiet nature surrounds. In 2001, my friend, who is a fine wood worker, and I started to build this wonderful space, using recycled materials as in Windows, doors, flooring and tile. We built it as a retreat for writers. We hand chafed the big posts and beams for a more rustic look. It took us 1.5 years, every day after our regular jobs to finish building it! I love how quiet it is here and how dark it gets at night because we are far away from city lights. Each neighbor has 3 to 5 acres of property and from mine I can see a little bit of the home of one of them. I like that it is only about 2 miles to Freeland where I can find the grocery store and post office as well as some stores for treasure hunting or a cafe to sip coffee in on a rainy day. And please: do read the house rules! That way there are no surprises for you. This is my third space posted on this web site. The other ones are: ~The smaller and lower priced space Tiny House / Caravan (http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/66010 ). ~The bigger House that has a queen size bed ( https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1742586). ~The DOG Friendly, Ocean & Mountain View Apartment (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/6164305).
this is a private lane with properties of 3 to 5 acre parcels. Most folks living here are are over 50 years old and like their privacy.
  • A sweet, cozy, artistic, quiet cabin retreat.

  • This cottage was a perfect writer’s getaway for me. I recommend it highly.

    Cleo2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Cottage is the perfect place to enjoy the solace of the Island. It's proximity to "downtown" Freeland was also convenient for groceries. The place is very clean and cozy. It was great to be able to cook, relax and sleep in one well thought out space. The skylights and large windows highlight the forest that surrounds the property. I'm already looking forward to returning!

    Heather2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Place was cozy and clean. Thanks for having us!

    Kalana2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, cozy, and quiet. I needed a couple of days out of the city and the cottage provided a lovely getaway. Mandeja gave clear, detailed instructions on arrival and check out, and is very responsive. A note about the loft for anyone with movement issues: the ladder is much steeper in person than it looked in the photos.

    Rachel2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, cozy place for a getaway. Quiet, beautiful property, that's close to town and still feels private. Recommended, and I would definitely stay here again myself. Thanks, Mandeja!

Back and Fourth is a hand crafted two story apartment that is 2 blocks from town. It is a calm, private and welcoming place to rest and enjoy the beauty of Whidbey Island while being close to the amenities of Langley.
Welcome to Whidbey Island, our little slice of paradise. Thirty miles north of Seattle, we're on the south end of the island, just a ferry ride away from Mukilteo. Langley offers coffee shops, retail shops, restaurants, art galleries, a movie theater, whale and kayak tours, scooter rentals and the water front. Back and Fourth is a hand crafted two story apartment that is 2 blocks from town. It contains a full kitchen with all the trimmings and complimentary coffee and tea. One can relax in the living area with a propane fireplace and a small TV with DVD and Roku only. Upstairs offers a queen bed with down comforter, desk area, bathroom with 4 ft. shower, closet space and washer and dryer. Off the bedroom is an upstairs deck that gives a peek a boo view of Saratoga Passage. Free Wi-Fi and off street parking.
  • Great apartment and superb location close to everything in Langley.

    Donal Og2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Look forward to staying again. Langley seems like a forward-thinking place that wants to figure out how to make it affordable for people who live and work around South Whidbey

  • My theater guests stayed here and loved the space, the proximity to downtown Langley and the extra touches!

  • Kathleen’s place was amazing! Very clean, and cozy. The bed was so comfortable. The small free standing fireplace in living room warmed room up quickly. Location was excellent , just a couple blocks to downtown. Highly recommend Kathleens Airbnb accommodations!

  • Great cozy place, fantastic location, great city

    Ian2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Even though a wind storm knocked out power for most of the night, our stay was still cozy and comfortable, and most of the businesses in town had generators, so we were still able to have a great dinner and a couple pints.

    Phillip2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend Kathleens place to anyone looking for a clean place to stay with in walking distance to everything!

    Lori 2020-01-27T00:00:00Z

Enjoy amazing western views across the Saratoga Passage from our gorgeous, newly built two-bedroom cabin. Camano Island is an easy drive from Seattle or Vancouver, but feels remote. Our modern cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway, but large enough for 4 guests. The cabin sits high above a stunning beach - just a short walk or drive away - considered to be one of the island's best! Quiet and private with unobstructed views, the cabin features custom touches and is thoughtfully outfitted.
We are excited to share our new cabin with like-minded folks who want to enjoy a beautiful and quiet retreat, gorgeous sunsets from the covered porch, or a walk along a deserted beach. This is the perfect place to unplug and unwind! The cabin sits on a large waterfront high bank lot - private and quiet. Modern sensibilities match rustic flair in our well appointed space outfitted with quality linens, thoughtful additions, and stocked with everything you'll need for a wonderful get away. Lofty and filled with light, the cabin features custom touches throughout: fir floors, custom planked counters, a full kitchen, and luxurious tiled bathroom with an oversized shower. Cook a meal in our thoughtfully designed kitchen, cozy up in front of the gas stove, or build a fire in the fire pit outside and enjoy the view. Our cabin is immaculately clean, new, and furnished beautifully- a true retreat! Each bedroom features a comfortable queen bed with all-cotton bedding and comforters. The cabin is also stocked with fresh white towels, organic bath products, and beach gear - beach umbrellas, beach blankets, and frisbee. (Please bring your own beach towels if you want one.) There is no tv or wifi at the cabin, although there is cell service. If you are looking for a smaller space we have a rustic cabin in the woods that is nearby. Please check it out if a secluded cabin with a sleeping loft better suits your needs. Check out both cabin adventures on Instagram. We are camano.cabins.
The cabin is perched on a high bluff above the Saratoga Passage facing west to Whidbey Island and the Olympic Range. The beach lies below and is accessible via a short walk or drive along a paved road. It's a very low-key, quiet community and we are almost always the only people along the long, driftwood strewn beach. We often see eagles, otters, seals, herons, whales, and deer. Pack a picnic, head on down and enjoy the beauty of Puget Sound! Please note: this is not an appropriate rental for parties, loud music, late night outdoor noise, or pets.
  • This place is perfection. This host needs to come decorate my home, every detail is so carefully thought out - from the light fixtures to the floor to the tiles - beautiful! Covered deck to sit and enjoy coffee with stellar natural beauty - this view is amazing!! Beds were super comfy, and the fireplace was pure heaven. Can’t wait to come back sometime in the summer and enjoy the fire pit overlooking the water and explore the beach.

    Carla2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you're in need of a lovely space with some real Pacific Northwest feel, but without the noise of a city, this space on Camano Island is perfect. It's a small space with two bedrooms, so it's perfect as a solo spot or a getaway for friends. I came here to have a weekend alone following my husband's death and it was an amazing space to rest and recover in. It's just down the street from the large state park where there's hiking, and a little further is a grocery store and other businesses, including some great restaurants. I stayed close to the cabin, going for hikes and reading, looking at the beautiful view from the porch. Definitely will be going back.

    Verhanika2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a cozy getaway with a fabulous view, you will love this cabin. Well-maintained, nicely appointed, comfy beds, great kitchen, well-heated, quiet, everything you need for a restful, rejuvenating stay. Our favorite part was enjoying the fire pit that sat just above a bluff overlooking the water and nearby islands. Liz was great to work with and we would definitely book again.

    Vicki2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here for a 3 day weekend getaway and we loved it! Great location and walking distance to the beach. We felt very comfortable in this cozy cabin. All the comforts of home and the lovely kitchen really made the stay very enjoyable. Plenty of privacy and it is perfect for a relaxing getaway with a view!

    Jeremy2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth's place was perfect for a wintry weekend getaway. It's right on the beach, really quiet, cozy, and beautiful. Elizabeth was super responsive to all our questions and requests. We would love to come back!

    Gabriel2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is clean, beautifully appointed, and in such a peaceful spot. Elizabeth has thought of everything!

    Alouise2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This beautiful little cabin was everything I had hoped for and more. Beautifully decorated and comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches. Elizabeth is quick to communicate. As a bonus, we had two beautiful sunsets amidst our gray January days. The fireplace is cozy. Kitchen is well appointed if you prefer to cook all of your meals. Beds are very comfortable. We hope to return, perhaps this will become an annual anniversary trip.

    Christie2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was wonderful! The views were outstanding, and the house is just a short walk to the beach. When it rained, we enjoyed sitting next to the gas stove. We'd definitely come back here again.

This private, cozy cottage is perched on a hillside offering mountain and pastoral views to the west, with a private, custom waterfall bath and queen bed. There are 5 acres of mountain and sea views, extensive Japanese gardens, ponds, fir and cedar groves. This is a peaceful place for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furry friends (pets). National Forest and Park trails are ten minutes away.
The cottage is set on a hillside with beautiful westward views of the Olympic mountains. The setting is private and quiet, with guest access to the extensive gardens, ponds and water features. The cottage is about 250 square feet including the private bath. One entire wall of the cottage is glass with private views and a deck that wraps around. Inside there are warm wood floors and a custom bath that features a waterfall shower with stone from the local river. The cottage has cedar shingles and a metal roof, and is well insulated for heating and cooling. I have recently added a new kitchen (JAN 2019 with a two electric burner stove top, deep sink, waist-high fridge with freezer and microwave for my guests convenience and added independence. While individual guests and couples have found the cottage to have more than sufficient space, if you are considering bringing your dog, you may want to review again for space considerations. I've hosted a number of dogs large and small but I did have one guest who found this an issue with her large pet dog.
The cottage sits on a remote hillside with Olympic mountain and valley views. My neighborhood is populated with Douglas Fir, alder and cedar.
  • This was our second stay at Wabi Sabi Cottage. We love it and we hope to return many time over.

    Libby2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely experience staying here. Brian has built a beautiful and unique cottage, the location is peaceful and secluded and the view was great, I’d love to come back in the summer someday when everything is in bloom! The kitchen is small but perfect for making a simple meal. Brian is a generous and welcoming host. Easily the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at.

    Monica2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Brian’s place is so incredible, this was our second visit! This place is truly a gem. From the light rain falling on the roof at night lulling you to sleep to the beautiful views you get when drinking your coffee on the porch. Brian also makes the best homemade breakfast, never turn it down! I couldn’t believe that he’d even remembered after two years that I didn’t like eggs! So if you’re reading this, book a stay here. Your mind body and soul will thank you for it.

  • Brian is a wonderful host and the cottage is terrific. We had a great weekend getaway and the location was perfect.

  • A perfect, cozy getaway! The cottage is thoughtfully built and furnished, and Brian was a wonderful host - making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Don’t miss out on his delicious breakfast! Note that the kitchen is small (exactly as shown in the photos) so best not to plan on big gourmet cooking endeavors.

At the end of the lane is the Studio in the Woods. It is a stand alone cabin on main house property. It is bright and sunny, but includes just right amount of privacy. You can enjoy a ride on our loan bicycles down to the beach or small town Langley.
Quiet, warm and open space, for a private couple or a self-claiming getaway. Self contained kitchen including refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, electric burner portable stove top, and coffee maker that includes our locally brewed coffee, along with a half dozen eggs!
We are located at the end of the neighborhood on a dirt road, we have a courtesy speed of 15mph due to other families and pets in the neighborhood. Due to the beautiful seclusion of the property, all cell service does not reach the end of the lane, we do provide Wifi during your stay, the island does provide cell service if you wish to head out to one of the town where Wifi is free and available.
  • Small quiet place at a very reasonable rate, exactly what we expected!

Get away from your busy life and retreat to the beach life. No internet and spotty cell service. Talk with each other, read a book and simply be at peace with nature. You are a 5 minute walk to Point no Point beach located in Hansville, WA. This one bedroom rental has an indoor and outdoor fireplace, full kitchen, laundry room and a king size bed. Originally, a garage built in 1968, Neil Thompson designed and rebuilt this into Hanville Haven and takes pride in his garden and strawberries.
We are a work in progress and are passionate about the history of the land that this home resides on. Brand new hardwood flooring in the bedroom and king bed build by Neil Thompson and daughter Julia, who was born in the home adjacent to this home 36 years ago. Hardwood flooring throughout the house was the dancefloor from Julia's wedding 14 years ago.
  • Cute little getaway. Definitely would recommend to others and will be coming back!

    Jessica2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The house is immaculate. The floor plan was very thoughtfully done. Big front yard. Fire pit. Big BBQ. Outdoor furniture. Comfy king bed. Kitchen well stocked with all the necessities. Situated at the end of a short culdesac. Very quiet. I highly recommend this little slice of "Haven".

  • We loved staying at Alejandro & Ana's! The cabin was very comfortable and the views of the water were beautiful. Would definitely recommend staying here!

    Jennifer2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Ana and Alejandro’s place feels like a home away from home. You walk through the door, kick off your shoes and immediately settle into relax mode. We brought enough groceries for the weekend so we wouldn’t have to leave, which was nice. The kitchen is well stocked. Ping pong was a hit and my son enjoyed the Wii U they had. It looks like there used to be an old boat shed with a canoe down on their beach, but it must have washed away? There’s a bit of evidence where it once stood. Didn’t see a single soul anywhere. Very private. We stopped at Point No Point on our way out, a lovely sandy beach and got pelted in a rough hail storm, which made for a humorous last adventure. Stay here! You won’t regret it.

Raven' Landing Studio sits atop a hill with a view of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. It faces west so it catches the sun late into the afternoon. We finish the day with spectacular sunsets. Point No Point beach is a destination beach just minutes away. You can walk up the hill from my home to access ten plus miles of trails for hiking or biking.
Ravens Landing Studio is really away from it all. High atop a hill with views west of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. Miles of walking and biking trails. Fishing, kayaking, beach combing, exploring and just minutes from the Olympic Peninsula. Bainbridge Island and Kingston ferries thirty five and twenty minutes away. Excellent space for writing, painting, relaxing and dreaming. *The studio has a very comfy full size bed that looks out at the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound.
My neighborhood is very private. I was the very first home in a new beautiful development. It is like a big park with a view. Great hiking/biking trails a half mile away. You can walk or bike into Hansville to have and ice cream cone, breakfast or latte.
  • Nice, cozy place in a quiet area.

  • Ravens Landing, is a special place with gorgeous views of the Olypmic mountains. The space is designed well with a very comfortable feel. If you're needing a vacation or just a place to stay while in area, I recommend Ravens Landing.

  • Darcy’s space is adorable and artistic. The view is beyond description! It is most definitely a romantic get-away. She was very accommodating when we had to shorten our stay because we were trying to work in this lovely space that is much better suited to romance and reflection. I recommend this gorgeous little Raven’s Nest.

Clean, light-filled cottage on a quiet, private, no-bank sandy beach. The cottage, which is about 1300 square feet, has three bedrooms plus a sleeper couch in the living area, and one bathroom. Relax, explore the beach and sandy tideflats, enjoy a fabulous view of the Cascades, roast marshmallows over a campfire, and spot wildlife including harbor seals, otters, and bald eagles. This is a magical place for kids to play and explore!
The cottage is in a quiet, secluded area between Kingston and Hansville, on the Kitsap Peninsula. Other than a handful of neighbors, you won't see many other people on the beach. Two miles of uninhabited, publicly accessible beach stretch north from our property to historic Point-No-Point lighthouse. In the 1920s and 30s, the property was a summer camp for girls called Camp Cohoe. The cottage, which has since been expanded and renovated, was one of the original camp buildings.
  • Beautiful place right at the water in a very quiet and secluded spot. Very spacious too. We enjoyed our time there very much!

    Niko2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We went for the weekend to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. Mom and 5 teenage girls. Lol. We had quite the adventure with the power going out twice due to the weather. But Brian was extremely attentive in making sure we were all ok. The weather cleared the morning we left so we were able to finally get some beautiful pictures. We'll have to come back this summer to actually enjoy the beach!

    Catherine2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I stayed for a holiday weekend with our one-year-old. We needed a place that would accommodate a busy little baby, and someplace we could all relax together. The cottage was perfect for all of that. It is literally right on the beach, and on the first afternoon, we saw jumping seals, a family of eight sea otters, and a lot of different bird species. You can’t beat the views from the living room (with a warm gas fireplace) and there was plenty of space for our holiday dinner. The only thing to note is that the bedroom doors have windows and are only blocked by a thin sheet , so if you need more privacy it might not be the space for you. But if you want a relaxing weekend with amazing views of Puget sound this is a perfect, cozy spot!

    Tanith2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved the house, right on the ocean, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, amazing views. During low tide we walked along the beach looking for sea glass, which we found, and not only saw bald eagles, blue herons, but WHALES!!

My condo is in a very quiet neighborhood within walking distance of public transportation. It provides easy access to Aurora Ave/Pacific Highway and Interstate 5. Seattle is just 25 minutes away.
Mine is a split-level condo with two bedrooms; one of which will be yours during your stay. The guest bedroom features a queen bed, desktop PC, and Xfinity cable television. There is a shared bathroom with shower right outside your room. There is a washer and dryer for your convenience on the 2nd floor as well. On the first floor is the kitchen with coffee maker and all the appliances you may need for preparing meals. Coffee, tea, bagels. seasonal fruit and eggs are complementary.
The neighborhood where this condo located is very family oriented and friendly. It is quiet and because of the hills, is great for walking.
  • Andrea is an excellent host. Love the comfort of the room, the convenience of the location, and her hospitality. The room was super clean. Andrea even changed the towel after a couple of days. Very nice of her. I will highly recommend this place.

  • I had a great 3-week stay with Andrea. She is kind and friendly but also gives you your space. The room where I stayed was comfortable and just the right amount of space. During my long stay, I was able to use the kitchen and cook, and to store things in the cupboard/fridge. A great place to stay!

There’s also a record player to complete the analogue experience and complement your writing or artistic endeavors. This family friendly stay is perfect for those seeking a simple, rustic, and interesting getaway. The 24 ft diameter yurt includes a king size bed with memory foam topper plus a fold out couch for two additional sleepers. The kitchen area includes two stove top burners, a toaster oven/convection oven in one, full refrigerator, spices, cookware, vintage utensils, handmade dishware, kid friendly plates & utensils, plus a space heater and wood stove for multiple heating options. Outside it will feel like you have a conifer forest all to yourself. An outdoor grill on the deck provides an al fresco cooking option plus there’s a fire pit for roasting marshmallows (also has a cooking grate) and campfire songs. The outhouse is a few steps down from the yurt and well lit. The outdoor shower has hot water and simultaneously provides personal privacy with the ability to enjoy the sounds and scenes of nature in your own natural element. Here is a video featuring this yurt retreat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Wm7I2LPimo NOTES: The yurt is in the woods, on a farm, in a rural setting. That means while you may be able to fall asleep to the cooing of great horned owls outside and the soft sound of rain falling on the dome above, you may also hear the sound of roosters crowing in the morning. The yurt is on the south end of the island which is made up of many idyllic farms, homesteads, and forests. Animal sounds are part of the beauty in this space and way of life. The outdoor shower has propane heated hot water but the sink inside the yurt and outhouse do not have a hot water. The outhouse has a Nature’s Head composting toilet. It looks and acts like a flush toilet with a few modifications. They are clean, efficient, easy to use and not smelly. Brief instructions are provided to ensure you have a wonderful experience. To keep with the nature based experience, we do not have WiFi or a tv. There are several cafes and coffee shops with internet access nearby and even a coworks space.
Our farm is in the middle of all that the idyllic south end has to offer! Located 6 minutes from the Clinton ferry terminal, just a 5 minute drive to downtown Langley, and 8 minute drive to the nearest beach/boat ramp. The south end of the island has a multitude of beautiful wineries to enjoy, amazing restaurants with waterfront views, beaches and forests a plenty, a thriving organic farming community with farm stands and farmers markets, and so much more.
  • Great experience, so nice. The inside is welcoming and inviting, with little touches of pottery and unique decor throughout. The bed is very comfortable and clean, same with the entire space. Our favorite part was hearing the rain on the dome skylight while being warm and toasty inside by the fire. Wonderful. Oh the hot water is a really nice touch!

  • Another great stay at the Yurt! It is our second stay and it was great. We stayed over the new year and it was a great place to do so! They also provided us with some extra fire wood which was nice! It's definitely cozy in the winter. Our first trip was in the early summer so definitely recommend in winter as well!

  • The yurt was a perfect little get away! Just the kind of find I think Airbnb is ideal for: a unique on-of-a-kind place to stay and be transported. All the little decor touches made it elegant and rustic at the same time. It was a romantic staycation for us! Not too far from Seattle.

    Careth2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This yurt was so lovely. It had great vibes helped along by the woods surrounding us and the fire and records inside. Perfect.

    Melissa2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had some real good time and the kids absolutely enjoyed every moment we’ve spent here.

    Tianying2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet, comfortable, unique place to stay while still close to favorite locations on the island.

    Jeaneen2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Love this yurt! A great getaway on Whidbey Island.

Soak in the hot tub and then curl up in front of the fireplace for a cozy winter evening, or enjoy an afternoon in the summer sun reading a book on the deck over looking Hood Canal. Go for a hike on the beach or explore the Olympic Peninsula.
This beautiful and authentic 900 sq ft log cabin (we built it in 1989 of nice big fir logs) is perched about 90 feet above magnificent Hood Canal -- a deep and expansive salt water arm which forms the western shore of the Kitsap Peninsula and Olympic National Park. The cabin, with large front windows, faces due west; a perfect orientation for incredible sunsets and westerly summer breezes. The cabin floor plan is open, permitting an unrestricted connection between the high beams of the living room, kitchen and dining area, which overlook the bluff and Olympic mountains. The bedroom and bathroom are somewhat separate. A large stone, wood burning fireplace (with complementary firewood), mostly used for evening ambiance, is central to the living room, with a remarkably efficient Danish-built Efel propane stove as central heat. The kitchen has all the amenities you'll need, full gas range and oven, microwave, toaster, a Keurig coffee maker, large refrigerator, but we do not have a dishwasher. And oh boy! Wait until you step outside! A partially covered full-length deck with hot tub and BBQ affords hassle-free outdoor living in any weather, amidst beautiful native plant gardens and sweeping vistas of water and mountains. Although we're not a remote setting, our garden of dense cedar, mature rhododendrons, flowering dogwood and tall firs (with a family of osprey in one) that surround the cabin assure you of privacy and a real sense of seclusion. Yet with an adventurous spirit, fine dining, a host of outdoor and cultural activities, as well as the ferry to downtown Seattle, are all within a 45 minute or less drive from your cozy retreat.
If there's a bit of wanderlust in you, and just relaxing with a good book and enjoying cabin living and its spectacular setting isn't quite enough, there's a ton of stuff to do and some nifty places to visit just around the corner and just below the bluff. Beach access is about a 10 minute walk away, and our beach has its share of clams and oysters. Yum! Bald eagles, osprey, great blue heron, countless ducks and sore birds are regularly encountered on beach walks and from the bluff during the months of spring and summer. The eagles are here nearly all winter long. Historic Port Gamble, and early 1900's architecturally faithful and once active New England style lumber mill town, now somewhat gentrified, is a mile away as the crow flies. There's a complete kayak rental shop there that caters to those of you who crave tranquil waters and shoreline exploration. About 25 minutes away is Poulsbo, a historic Norwegian village and yacht basin that has great shops, a true Scandinavian bakery and a half dozen really good restaurants (there's a guide in the cabin). Once across Hood Canal via a floating bridge there sits a mountain range so rugged that US Highway 101 was built around it rather than over it. From the cabin's high vantage point, rugged mountain peaks rise west of Hood Canal and Hood Head to over 7000 ft above sea level.
  • The cabin is a truly special spot. Jay and Nancy have put so much thought into making the cabin feel like woodsy retreat that's cozy, clean and comfortable. The cabin itself is stunning, and the views are breathtaking. This was my second time staying there and I hope to make it an annual tradition. I have stayed in many beautiful rentals on the Olympic peninsula, but this is the only one I hope to come back to again and again. What a treasure!

    Carly2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This space is so wonderful, gorgeous design and beautiful location. Would stay here again in a flash! Jay and Nancy live right next door and were wonderful hosts!

    Katelyn2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a unique, charming, quiet place with an exquisite view than look no further! The pictures do not begin to do this place justice and the couple who own it are incredibly nice and welcoming. We spent our wedding night here and could not have asked for a better way to end our special weekend. If you’ve ever stayed in a better Air BnB please let us know!

    Joshua2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • All of the previous reviews are spot on. Jay and Nancy's cabin was a great retreat and a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Clean, comfortable, with stunning views and a precious backyard garden. We saw otters swimming just below the bluff and enjoyed the heavenly sunset from the backyard fire pit. The hot tub was very relaxing after hiking during the day. Highly recommend.

    Harmony2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jay and Nancy were great host. Nancy was kind, friendly and always helpful. Great communication and kept in touch, providing directions to the Cabin. Jay met us when we arrived and quickly showed us around. The Cabin is wonderful, very cozy and beautiful. We loved the view and how quiet and tucked away it seemed. All the amenities were beyond expectations: the beds were comfy and cozy, the kitchen was fully equipped, bathroom very clean with lots of extra towels, large fireplace in the main room as well as a grill and Hot tub outback that you can sit, relax and take in the view. The yard was extremely beautiful as well, with all sorts of birds and animals darting through. A fire-pit and a beautiful view overlooking the water.

    Josh2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • There was excellent communication from the time we booked the cabin. Jay was there upon arrival to show us around and he was a lot of fun to chat with. They were available if we needed them during our stay. The property was even more picturesque than we were expecting. The landscaping was beautiful. The view was amazing. We enjoyed the hummingbirds while relaxing out back. The inside had everything we needed and was very clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend staying here. We will be back. Thank you Jay and Nancy!!!!!

    Jennifer2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time we have had the pleasure of staying at Jay and Nancy’s. We love this location and Jay and Nancy are so wonderful as hosts. Can’t wait to stay again.

    Amy2019-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jay and Nancy have a beautiful place. Beautiful setting. The cabin is a perfect place to get away from everything and recharge. I absolutely recommend that you stay there. The hot tub looking out to hood canal was perfect. Humming birds on the porch while we had our morning coffee. Everything you would want in the kitchen. There is a grocery store nearby. Plenty of places to eat if you don’t want to cook only a 25 minute drive away in Kingston. Jay and Nancy showed us the cabin and left us to get settled in. Complete privacy, everything was clean, simply a wonderful weekend.

  • It was a great place to gather a group. We brought the family together to spend Thanksgiving, and the open kitchen and living space made it a wonderful place to meet and cook and catch up. We loved it so much. There was room for everyone to relax and enjoy the Washington wildlife. Also, very nearby Peninsula Pies has the best wood-fired pizza, and Greenwoode Farms Organic Bakery is soooo worth multiple visits.

  • Our group of five really enjoyed our stay here. The house was comfortable and clean. There was plenty of room for everyone and lots around to make us feel at home. We did some cooking and found everything we needed in the kitchen. Lots of towels and toiletries in the bathroom, clean linens on the beds. Everything we needed was operational and easy to use (furnace, appliances, tv, etc). We were very comfortable and would stay there again.

  • Large home, great for our family and grandson. Great kitchen set up.

    Karen2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place with great homey feel. Being surrounded by unique art, records, books and a beautiful nature made our trip just that more comfortable. The house is stocked and had everything we needed. Lots of great spaces to hang together while also having lots of spaces to spend some time alone.

    David2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We would recommend this place to others.

    Robin2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very clean and was surprisingly much nicer in person. The photos do not do it justice. The space was more than adequate for our three families. If we were ever in Hansville again we would not hesitate to book Tammie’s place.

    Gerold2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our cell service was almost non-existent so the WiFi was greatly appreciated! Everyone had a bed and the house is larger than the pictures show. We felt right at home with all the little touches. Amazing artwork and spacious bedrooms. Plenty of room for our crazy boys to play and they spent their downtime searching for snakes and wildlife in the surrounding areas. To spend an exhausting day seeing family and sights and be able to come home to a lovely family home was much needed. Thanks again for making our first Airbnb experience a great one.

Welcome to Eagle’s Perch. A private upper studio apartment with expansive water views on 3 sides! It has a newly remodeled private large shower/bathroom, new cozy kitchenette. Access to our property hot tub on request- we want to discuss cleaning protocol at this time before use. Our property boasts direct lagoon access and is located just across the street from the canal and the beach! It makes a perfect getaway for a couple, small family or for a solitary retreat.
Eagle's Perch is a wonderful studio with large picture windows to take in the water views on 3 sides. Who else can see a lagoon, canal and Puget Sound from their bed? It features an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, comfortable queen-sized bed, bistro dining set, a twin sized day bed and kitchenette with sink and hot plate/fridge/microwave/coffee and staples for simple cooking. We know how stressful these times are and take to heart that every surface, pillow, plate, door handle (even the soap dispenser is cleaned!) is properly cleaned and sanitized. We use seventh generation disinfectant spray and wipes (natural brand AND 99.9% effective). Even your door key pad and key has been cleaned. Keeping people healthy and offering them a respite in all this is important to me. Guests are welcome to lounge in the backyard (with lagoon access) or relax on their own porch. Guests may also access the private Lagoon Point beach directly across the street. Welcome! We are so delighted you have come to stay!
Lagoon Point is a quiet and beautiful community surrounded by lagoons, canal and water. It is very quiet here. We are not in the middle of a town, but we are an amazing gateway to other places on the Island as we are so centrally located. You can easily visit Greenbank Farm, the ferry to Port Townsend, Langley, Coupeville, Ebey's Landing, South Whidbey State Park - all within 15 minutes drive.
  • This is a great space for a getaway. Very clean amenities and great views. The location is perfect. Great access to beach walks with great views across Puget Sound. Loved the hot tub under the stars. I highly recommend!

  • Lovely, secluded place, and the perfect weekend escape from the city! We spent beautiful days with long beach walks and coastal hikes, and explored cafes and restaurants on Whidbey. Lara's place is in the perfect location and close enough to everything you may want to visit. Highly recommended!

    Josephine2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was absolutely perfect for me and my 14-mo son!! I really appreciated having the comfy chair for nursing, the tea kettle and tea, the warm light, and hardly any childproofing issues, so I could relax and let Liam roam free. It was also great how easy it was to get in touch.

    Madeleine2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really lovely place for a weekend getaway. The surrounding area is beautiful. The room is very lovely with lots of windows for views. The host Lara is easily accessible and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

    Patrick2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was incredible. There was a magical sunset one night that blew us away! So beautiful! Lara was really helpful and easy to communicate with.

    Emily2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful little place this host has set up - sparkling waters surround a sweet studio like a jewel box full of lovely peace & windows onto the weather (we were so lucky with sunshine for several miraculous days. Lara was kind, quick, thorough and courteous - warmth & clear explanations beyond expectation. What a great escape! I look forward to returning.

  • The Eagles Perch was a perfect place for weekend exploring Whidbey Island. The space is comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the Olympics from our windows. The bed was comfy and the space had everything we needed for a night away. Located between Langley and Coupeville, we enjoyed spending time in both cute, small towns.

    Emily2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The eagles perch was a perfect spot tucked into a quite neighborhood along the stunning beaches of whidbey. Stores and parks are only minutes away. The upper apartment has big windows which offer a lovely view of the water, and the sound of the waves on the beach were peaceful. The space is clean and comfortable, with just enough amenities for two. The kitchenette was perfect for making coffee and small plates for snacking. A bonus was the use of the hot tub under the starry night sky. Would recommend this space for a quiet getaway to explore the island.

We spent a few nights here, and it was perfect for reading by the fire, cooking some delicious meals and beach walking (both just down the steps and just down the road). • The Bluff House is an amazing home in an amazing setting. Tina and Dale checked in with us to make sure everything was as expected and access to the home was easy. The house was spotless and well appointed. You can do day trips to Bainbridge Island, Victoria or the Olympic National Park from this spot. Walking on the beach was a blast. We even met a local otter on the steps down to the water! Sunrises are spectacular from the house, and we saw several bald eagles as well. We appreciate that Tina and Dale welcomed us into their home on the bluff and hope to return someday.

  • Beautiful home with an amazing view. Sunrise and moonrise were both spectacular. We stayed at Christmas and enjoyed the holiday decorations around the house. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook for a group and is thoughtfully arranged. The walk down to the beach is very safe, on a flight of wooden stairs. We enjoyed walking along the beach and appreciated notes from Tina and Dale about the best time to stroll for low tide. It’s also wonderfully quiet, and though the house is remote, you can get to Port Gamble and Poulsbo easily.

Welcome to the bright and cheerful Hazel Studio! This airy space is stylishly appointed and ready to become your home base as you visit our beautiful part of the Puget Sound, the Olympic Peninsula, and the quaint town of Poulsbo.
The Hazel Studio is one of two rental units on our property, and is located upstairs, above our garage. You'll have your own entrance, with an easy keypad lock, that will usher you into the interior stairwell. Soft glowing step lights will guide you up the stairs, even if you arrive late into the night. With vaulted ceilings, ten windows, and a clean, neutral color palette, the space is radiant regardless of the conditions outside. The ductless mini split system is super quiet, energy efficient, and will heat or cool to keep the temperature just right. If you require total darkness to get a good night’s sleep, fear not! Our custom blackout shades pull down easily to provide a dark sleep environment. If you prefer to wake naturally with the daylight, the east-facing bed nook will provide an energetic way to greet the day. The queen-sized, all-natural and certified organic latex mattress is firm, with a plush top layer to alleviate pressure points. The feather down comforter and pillows, along with the OEKO-TEX certified 100% linen bedding are thermo-regulating, high-quality, and so beautiful. *Please keep in mind that the bed is positioned up against two walls, and there is a sloped ceiling on the entry side, so this may not be the ideal space for those who are mobility challenged. The kitchenette provides you with a retro-style mini fridge, a portable, single induction burner, a convection microwave oven, and an electric kettle. As natives of the coffee-obsessed Pacific Northwest, we know it is a very personal ritual, and with that in mind we provide a few of the most classic brew methods; a Chemex pour-over carafe, and a French press. Ground coffee will be available for the Chemex carafe. We also stock a variety of teas. Our kitchenette contains the basic tools for simple meal preparation, and some staple pantry items. Lovingly collected and curated pieces furnish the Studio, and every effort has been made to maximize the small space while maintaining a gracious, open feel. Reducing our environmental impact, while providing the best possible guest experience, is a high priority for us, and we are continually seeking out ways to further this goal. You will find these efforts throughout the Studio space; from the use of natural materials in the furnishings, to compostable trash bags, and plastic-free bamboo toilet paper and laundry detergent. We clean the space using natural products and ingredients, and we prioritize zero-waste packaging. A few things to note: *This is our full-time home, and we really live here! We have help in managing our spaces when we travel ourselves, but this is a business and a lifestyle that we find incredibly fulfilling and for which we take great pride. As such, you will see us working around our yard and property, as it is a constant work in progress. We have many interests and hobbies, and so those may also be visible at times. We are always cognizant of not disturbing our guests, so noise-generating activity will typically not take place during generally observed quiet hours. *The opening of the garage doors is slightly audible, but the openers are the smoothest and quietest available, and we won’t be using them earlier than about 8:00am. *Because we live here, we also have friends and family over, and while we entertain our own guests in the private portion of our house and yard, it may at times be visible and/or audible. *We also have another guest suite listed on AirBnB, and those guests will also be accessing their own private entrance on the back side of the main house. *At this time, there is no dedicated outdoor space for Hazel Studio guests, however we hope to change this in the near future! *While there is no parking on our property itself at this time, the adjacent street parking is plentiful.
Our neighborhood is the heart of "Old Town" Poulsbo, and is perfectly positioned for so many activities! It's a pleasant, 6 minute walk to Historic Downtown Poulsbo, with its wonderful shops, restaurants, and the gorgeous waterfront park. Starbucks is a five minute walk away. There is a bus stop just two blocks from our house, from which you can catch the #390 bus to the Bainbridge ferry, and hop over to Seattle.

Imagine a bright, clean, custom-built cottage, with wrap-around deck, separated from our main house by a shared courtyard garden. Then add the hot-tub and acres of quiet just a 5-minute drive from the beach or 15 minutes from the wonderful shops & restaurants of Langley. Truly the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway...
The cottage is perfect for a couple or a single visitor. In a pinch, we can provide a foam mattress to put on the floor for a child traveling with you. The built-in bookshelves are stocked with a wide range of favorites and the private back deck—just right for a summer siesta—looks out on a sloping meadow.
Our property is at the very end of a quiet 1/2-mile long, unpaved road, so expect to hear owls and frogs at night and birds in the morning. Even with our quiet location, you'll only be minutes from many of the best spots on the island.
  • Such a lovely space and hosts! We loved everything about this place. The bed was so comfy and warm, the light that comes through is amazing, the place warms up quickly, the hot tub is wonderful, and the scenery is beautiful! The hosts are so kind and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We will for sure stay here again!

  • Jim and Christine’s place is the perfect place to go for a relaxing and cozy weekend. It isn’t far from a couple of the major towns in Southern Whidbey and it feels so restful and charming inside. Much care and thought was put into creating the cottage and it is a place I’d definitely come back to. Also, they were great hosts! They were friendly, great at communication and were amazing people to meet.

  • Chris and Jim's Barred Owl Cottage is the most adorable places I have ever stayed. The amenities were perfect and their cottage is spotless. The cottage sits on beautiful surroundings with wildlife in abundance. I will definitely go back!

  • We had a lovely stay! The cottage was so cozy and the hot tub was wonderful. We had so much fun exploring the island and looking through all the cute little shops. So much to do and see here!

  • What a perfect getaway! My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights around Valentines Day and this place provided the perfect getaway. Very cool structure and property, great amenities (loved the hot tub), and wonderful hosts. Highly recommend.

  • The most relaxing trip we've ever taken! We went on this trip to get away from the craziness of Seattle and it exceeded all of our expectations: The coziness of the cabin, the calmness of the property, and the peaceful/enjoyable island (especially with Jim and Christine's perfect local tips). We definitely put this place in our memories as a place to get away from life and simply be at ease.

This tiny cabin is located on a high bank/bluff waterfront lot in an old, weekend fishing camp, subdivision. Neighborhood is a bit shabby, but safe & quiet. 192 square feet of bright interior space, with french doors that open onto a large deck. Kitchen, tile shower, large flat screen, wifi, twin day bed for lounging/sleeping, washer/dryer. Great view of the harbor. There is a tenant in the 5th wheel. Dogs have been here. Small trailer is my sometimes home. Dedicated parking, foot of the stairs.
This 192 square foot tiny house is perfect for one, harbor view, large deck. Everything is new. I chose large, high quality appliances, and a custom tile shower to give the tiny house a luxurious feel. Rather than the 8' width imposed on tiny houses with wheels, I chose a 12'X16' footprint. No loft. I selected a vaulted ceiling, a big wall of windows and added a large deck to make this tiny feel expansive. I moved out of the tiny house for the summer and placed a little trailer between the tiny house and the fence line. This does not infringe upon your privacy, as the trailer is set back several feet further from the bluff and so no windows look onto your deck or living space. I have been loving the idea of living in a tiny house for several years, and with my brothers help, this dream came true! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
Downtown Freeland, a 2 mile drive, features a public park with beach access and boat launch. Located just 10 miles from the popular seaside town of Langley, the area offers scenic parks and trails, wonderful restaurants, and is 12 to the Mukilteo / Whidbey Island Ferry. For dog lovers, the is an off leash beach 5 miles away, and a beautiful expansive off leash area at Green bank farm.
  • This place has everything you need (maybe bring a stool if you are a shorty) I made dinner 2 nights in a row. Great view!

Come experience the unique beauty of the Olympic Peninsula. This charming studio home is located near the Hood Canal in Port Ludlow. A perfect place to start your adventure on the Olympic Peninsula or a relaxing place to unwind.
This home has natural light, large windows, expansive views with southern exposure that allow you to experience the natural, beautiful scenery of this area. This is an open area space studio. For sleeping arrangements we have a queen bed in main area, sofa bed, and comfy roll away with single mattress. There is a full kitchen, private yard, patio, and unique hand crafted walk in river rock shower.
Located 10 minutes from historic Port Gamble and 35 minutes from Port Townsend. Whale watching, theater, shopping, restaurants and many festivals in Port Townsend. Hiking trails are as close as five minutes away.
  • Perfect retreat space! Tucked away on a hillside not far from the Hood Canal Bridge, this cabin is perfection: view, clean, spacious, woodstove, comfy bed, full kitchen, heated floors, private, and gorgeous river rock shower. There is some distant highway noise but I just pretended it was a river and was fine. No wifi which I preferred. Super sweet place.

    Michele2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet is the best way I could describe this place. The amazing wall of windows and sky lights brings in so much natural light, it's beautiful. The kitchen is stocked with necessities and basic appliances. A highlight is definitely the custom built shower. The pressure is good and water is super hot. Plus the hosts are great, easy to get a hold of and left us little treats

    Melissa2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • De and Mels place was a unique home that had lots of natural light and radiant heat floors. With the yoga books and the plumbing and roof truss manuals it get like people similar to us built this space very intentionally. It was spotlessly clean, and had every kitchen device we needed! They also kept a minimally stocked pantry which was great because the closest grocery store is about 15-20 minutes away. They have a record corner and clearly had the same music taste as my husband and I. Lots of Beatles, blonde, the temptations, something for every music type. It was peaceful to watch the sun rise and enjoy coffee on the couch and my son loved scooting around on the floor everywhere. It is a studio but has separate spaces so that you can have someone sleeping while someone else is cooking and not be a huge disturbance. This would be a great place when it was warm out because the huge patio doors open to the outside! A perfect middle location to go to Poulsbo, port gamble and port Townsend.

  • We had a wonderful stay! When we arrived the power was out for the first night due to an outage in the area but the place is thoughtfully prepared for emergencies and well stocked with candles. The record player and selection of records was great. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a nice retreat!

  • Perfect place for a relaxing get away. Lovely view of the lake, spacious and welcoming! The music room was so fun! We stayed here for christmas and would highly recommend it for the season! There was simple Christmas touches all around the cottage and it felt homey and cozy. We would have stayed longer if we could have! There was 3 of us who stayed. Myself, my husband and our 5 yr old.

It's a private spacious bedroom with a 1.5 shared bathroom in a newly build townhome located very close to I-5. Parking available and located in a very good community. All the big stores(Fred Mayer,Costco, Alderwood Mall, restaurants) are located within 1.5 miles. Transit center to Seattle downtown and other places is quite near to my place.
It's a private room with a big spacious closet with cloth hangers.. the bed room also has comfortable work space for students/work purpose travelers. The room can be locked from inside and outside for privacy and safety. The private and unshared bath room is just next to the bed room.
We live in a very quite gated community which has security cameras installed. Our location is very close to Alderwood mall and Lynnwood transit center. There are a lot of options for food/coffee and shopping near by.

  • Vaishali and Prince were the most responsive hosts that I've stayed with! Vaishali texted to check in with me every day and went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed. The townhouse seems new and the room was very clean, with plenty of closet space, desk and full length mirror. You get a parking space in the driveway and a key fab to enter/exit the gated property community. I had a great stay!

The health and safety of our guests, homeowners, and employees is our number one priority. Many of our vacation rentals minimize person-to-person contact with private amenities and entry via smart locks or lockboxes. Plus, each reservation is backed by 24/7 customer support and expert cleaning in line with current CDC guidelines.
Show your special someone just how much they mean to you with a romantic retreat to Washington's Whidbey Island! Secluded in 25 acres of gorgeous natural surroundings and featuring a private hot tub, this dog-friendly log cabin is just what you need for your next vacation for two! Just south of the tiny town of Greenbank, your rental is just a short distance from essentials at Greenbank Store, while back at home, you can marvel at the swaying pine trees of the surrounding property (there are four other cabins nearby). Inside, wooden floors, walls, and ceiling beams, along with stonework surrounding the fireplace and historic photographs, give the cabin a rustic, low-key atmosphere. Kick back on an armchair or snuggle up with your sweetheart on the couch as you take in cable on the TV or watch the crackling fire. The cozy kitchen has all the modern appliances and wooden cabinetry you need to whip up a romantic dinner. Set the table for two and afterwards, thanks to the dishwasher, cleaning up is quick and easy. Two guests can stay in this one-bedroom cabin, with a plush king-size bed complete with lovely bedside tables and a stained-glass window. Wake up and shower (or enjoy a decadent bubble bath!) in the bathroom before waking your sweetheart up with some coffee. Small, isolated beaches make Whidbey Island a great place for spending time as a couple, but don't spend so much time by the sea that you forget about the nearby destinations worth visiting! The quirky community of Freeland is just seven miles south, while the hustle and bustle of Coupeville is only 12 miles north. If you really want to take your getaway to the next level, head another 30 miles to Anacortes, where you can explore the San Juan Islands and Victoria, Canada! Don't delay - place your reservation today and show the person you love the most an unforgettable experience! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.
  • We had a very relaxing time! The kitchen had plenty of tools to cook a great meal! We had a little trouble figuring the TV out but ended up turning it off anyway to spend more quality time together. I would love for a light to have been installed outside by the hot tub, since it's very dark out there, but we ended up propping up a cell phone with flashlight on in the nearby dining area window and shining it outside into the area, and that got us enough light to be able a little more comfortable. One thing I also was worried about was mud; since this time of the year there is a lot of rain, I was nervous about tracking dirt in and out of the cabin, so we ended up using some of the towels to clean off shoes/paws. Maybe a larger rug in the entry way or a more substantial way to clean shoes outside would benefit future stayers! There were a few others in cabins but not right next to ours so that was awesome in terms of privacy, very peaceful. We were able to get everything we needed at nearby grocery stores as well, including firewood at the Payless Food Store down the street. Thank you for everything!

  • This cabin is amazing, right in the middle of the woods, far enough from the crowds but conveniently located where most things you may need are 15 minutes away. The cabin was really clean and the check-in/out processes were very easy too. I had to call the customer service twice and both times received all the support I needed. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a romantic get-away.

  • I planned this trip for some much needed post holiday relief for both me and my dog. The place was nice and secluded enough with the amazing forest between cottages. It was so relaxing to the point my dog didn’t want to leave! The location was perfect w/ being close to 2 of our favorite spots: Whidbey Pie Cafe (only 1.5 mile up main road & they have a couple acres for off-leash running) and Double Bluff dog-beach (10-15min drive). Can’t wait to stay again possibly in summer time.

  • Cozy cabin. Make sure to bring wood for the fireplace. Had most necessities like cooking oil, teapot, etc.

  • Arrived to a bone-cold cabin. That's OK, we brought firewood, and there's some little electric room heaters. Crank 'em up full blast and have a cocktail in front of the fire while we wait. Things that did work—in addition to the grill—were the inside jacuzzi bathtub, the fireplace once it heated up, and the bed, which was very warm and cozy. Aesthetically, the place is rustic and cute.

  • Conveniently close to coupeville and coupeville ferry terminal. Hot tub was great on my sore muscles after hiking. Nice and private in the woods, kinda spooky by myself but super peaceful!

  • Beautiful grounds, quiet, peaceful right on the water...perfection! Fun to explore some of the small nearby towns and for a little excitement there is a casino nearby with a good restaurant. Be sure to try the local Hansville pizza joint.

  • The view was spectacular. We relaxed at sunset and after breakfast in the relaxing hammocks. We received great directions and all we needed to settle in. It was just what we needed for our short weekend away. There was even a view from the comfy bed that was private while we read at night.

    Kathleen2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable, private, quiet, and had everything we needed. The views are amazing and lots of places to sit and relax to enjoy them.

  • This place is very comfortable and peaceful. My husband and I only stayed for one night but were very pleased with the cleanliness and quaint touches in our space. The yard and views are absolutely stunning, and the location was a close 15 minute drive into town. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

  • Incredible location and view. Bradley was very responsive, and the entire space was clean. There is an outdoor yard, potentially shared with other guests of the other units. The view is gorgeous, there is a lot of seating provided, from comfy outdoor chairs to hammock lounging. Hope to visit again soon!

  • We stayed in Suite A, which is a spacious corner unit with it's own patio. Walking off the patio and across the lawn gets you to a large patio right along the water front of the Hood Canal. Beautiful room and location. We will certainly recommend this place to friends.

Find your landing place nestled in a cottage amidst a PNW garden landscape with peekaboo views of the Puget Sound. 10 min from the Kingston ferry to Seattle. The main suite boasts furniture hand built of old growth timber with modern amenities and a stocked coffee bar. The attached sun room provides a tranquil setting with a hammock and expansive garden windows that offer natural sunlight.
The Upper Left Landing is a completely separate and private guest house, sharing a 1 acre parcel with my home. The cottage is located approximately 100 ft away and includes bottom up/top down shades for added privacy. The main guest suite is a studio, with all the vibes of the Pacific Northwest. The kitchen includes a fully stocked coffee and tea bar with a variety of local coffee beans and teas and preparation methods - pressed, poured over or traditionally brewed. All the utensils and necessities for cooking, including a smaller blender and waffle maker (including all the necessities for waffle making). There is no microwave. Sip your coffee from a bar top hand made from old growth Douglas fir, and enjoy the peekaboo view of the Puget Sound from the hand built bed made of old barn wood from the Skagit Valley. The attached sun room includes the lower hang out area, a couch and a hammock. There is no guest access into the loft above yet. The sun room is lightly insulated and colder during the winter months when there is not as much sun to heat it. Two portable heaters are provided for you to heat the sun room while you are there.
The cottage is located in a residential area on a 1 acre parcel overlooking an empty lot with a peekaboo view of the Puget Sound. The Upper Left Landing is a 10 minute drive (3.5 mi) from the Kingston ferry terminal. Take the car/bike/passenger ferry sailing from Edmonds, or, walk/bike over on the passenger-only fast ferry directly from downtown Seattle (currently operating Monday through Friday only during the off-season). The town of Kingston is lively in the Summer months, hosting the gateway from the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsula to the Seattle metro. Stop by the Saturday Farmers Market (May-Oct), try Mora Iced Creamery's famous blackberry ice cream (available only on this side of the Puget Sound). Stop by CBs Nuts - our own local producer of barrel roasted peanuts and peanut butter. Grab a beer or Kombucha at Downpour, our local family owned craft microbrew taproom. Visit Bloedel Reserve, one of America's 10 best Botanical Gardens, a 20 minute drive to nearby Bainbridge Island. Stop by a tasting room at a vineyard on the Island or see what's new at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. A 15 minute drive, is home of the picturesque national historic landmark, Port Gamble - Washington's oldest company owned town located on the shores of the scenic Hood Canal. Visit one of many lavender farms located an hour drive in Sequim WA. Drive an additional 30 minutes to Olympic National Park's gateway including nearby Lake Crescent and Hurricane Ridge. The cottage is located near the end of a dirt road - we ask all guests to abide by the 10 mph speed limit to mitigate dust and ensure the safety of our neighbors.
  • A delightful retreat in a quiet garden setting. The bed was super comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to make a big brunch the next morning. We loved all the coffee options available to sample, and the guide book with local tips and suggestions was very well done. Everything you would need for a wonderful Pacific NW getaway. The floors do get a little cold in the winter so maybe pack your cozy slippers!

Stay at Sunset Beach Cottage and taste the pervasive charm, the freshness of beautiful summer nights, breath the salty ebb and flow of the tide, and the sky dusted with stars is radiant Beachside vacation Rental on South Whidbey Island at Maxwelton Beach, Useless Bay in Admiralty Inlet. Relax to the lapping tide on Useless Bay and view the sunsets over Admiralty Inlet and the Olympic Mountain Range. Watch as the ships pass through the shipping lanes of Puget Sound... All sales are final.
Enjoy a Beachside vacation Rental on South Whidbey Island at Maxwelton Beach. Relax, walk, smell and taste the sea air. Watch the Eagles dance and the Great Blue Heron lift their wings. Experience the sky change hues at sunset. Dig clams, kayak, beachside fire and patio. As featured in the Seattle Times: "COZY COTTAGE FOR YOUR ISLAND GETAWAY" The driftwood was strewn about like Tinker Toys and the sandy beach had washed ashore a myriad of shells and treasures. I'd sipped coffee at my beachside cabin while watching the sun glint off the Olympics. Now, on one of the coldest, grayest, wettest mornings of the year for the rest of the NW, here I was walking along a cloudless, sun-filled stretch of tideland known as Maxwelton Beach, watching a stranger chase his yellow Lab in and out of the surf as if it were mid-September. It seemed a world away from Seattle - yet close enough I could be back, if I wanted, in time for lunch. For Seattle-area residents looking for a winter weekend getaway they can reach without actually going far, it's hard to top Sunset Beach Cottage. Tucked inside the rain shadow of the Olympics, Whidbey Island can seem like a veritable desert oasis in winter, noticeably warmer and brighter, even, than towns just 20 miles away. Welcome to Sunset Beach Cottage in Maxwelton: Located near the island's southern tip, it promised sunset views of the Olympic Mountains and a private beach. And the owners were accommodating, promising to leave the key on the kitchen table and allowing me to check in at 7 am. While I'd learned over the years to do my homework and keep expectations low, Sunset Beach Cottage was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were carpeted and wood paneled, with a 1950's feel. The online pictures were a good representation - which isn't always the case. There were mountain views form the kitchen and the bedroom, and the beach was 10 feet from the door. The owners had left a long note suggesting everything from restaurants to a nearby golf course that charged $10 for nine holes. The closet was stocked with rubber boots for shell collecting and clam digging and slippers for the evenings. (Craig Welch, Seattle Times) Note: Sunset Beach Cottage has a non-refundable cancellation. Once you book, your reservation is non-refundable. This policy is different and stricter than the Airbnb policy. Our cancellation policy allows no refunds on cancellation. There is a $25 fee per night per extra guest above two, including infants. Not suitable for infants - please list infants as children. Must advise host upon inquiry and prior to booking that there is a pet. Pets are subject to approval and by arrangement. There is a fee for pets of $25 per pet per night.
This vacation rental is RIGHT ON THE BEACH! 7 steps to the sand to low-bank waterfront. Beach walking is infinite both North and South on firm, sandy beaches. Maxwelton Park, right on the beach is 1/4 mi stroll down the beach or on Maxwelton Rd. Outdoor Salmon Adventure is a quarter mile drive north on Maxwelton Rd - Forest, Maxwelton Creek, Education on salmon, short trails. Island Greens Golf course is 1 mile up French Rd (N on Maxwelton; 1st Right on French). 9 hole, 3 par, located in serene forests of South Whidbey Island. Rated as one of the Best Courses of it's type in the Northwest. Public driving range too.
  • We had another great time at Paula's place. Hope to be back soon!

    Mark2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The place has an amazing view and the beach is super quiet. The house and the furniture are older but that gives it a cute charme. The master bedroom has no door but curtains to separate it from the living room/dining area. Which was no problem for us. The matress is more on the harder side. The extra bedroom is a really small room. The house was really clean so we could feel really comfortable. The nespresso machine was an extra treat and Paula left some other cute treats in the house like games, hot chocolate and wine which we really appraciated. Next time we hope we can stay longer to enjoy the increadible location.

  • This is not my first stay at Paula's place, nor will it be my last. When I can afford it, it is my favorite place to go to relax and unwind. In fact, it is the ONLY place I go. The cottage and the setting instantly puts me into a relaxed mode and all of my daily cares fade away during my stay. I love to buy my groceries on my way there, stock the refrigerator, and never leave the place. However, if you want to explore the island, there is much to do.

  • I already did this

    Juliana2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is cozy and very lovely. The views and wildlife are great and the beach is very walkable. It is very close to the ferry and Langley. Paula's place was spotless and felt like home.

  • Just one word: FANTASTIC!!!

    Susan2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a quaint cottage with a quaint cottage feel. The kitchen is very sweet. The views are wonderful. Bathroom is lovely and nicely updated. We come here almost every year!

    Catherine2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage, right on the beach. At high tide, the water comes right up to deck and at lower tides, it's perfect for strolling and playing. If traveling with a little one, there is room for a pack 'n play in the main bedroom, but not in the small 2nd bedroom (where there is a twin bed). Nice soaking tub and finishes in the bathroom! Short drive to Langley for town amenities.
