Opened as The Red Mill in 1960, the property had long been a vibrant hospitality business that thrived for over four decades. In keeping with Cedar Circle’s mission of restoring properties of local significance using green building techniques, the building has been thoughtfully redesigned, renovated and renamed the St Regis Suites. The St. Regis Suites features five well-appointed and artfully decorated suites of various sizes that are available for rentals of between three days to three months. Each self-service suite offers all the comforts of home. • Really nice interior

  • We had a great stay here! The apartment is fancy, clean, and has a very nice kitchen. It is close to town, but also nicely located to get to trails, lakes, and everything in the area.

  • The St. Regis Suites Apartments are our home away from home. I have stayed in apartment 3, 4 and now 5. I love them all and I look forward to staying in each of them. My husband and I had a wonderful time visiting our son at Paul Smith's College. The suites are in a perfect location to explore Paul Smith's VIC and all the nature trails. There is so much to do from snowshoeing to cross country skiing and there are great restaurants in Saranac Lake and of course Lake Placid. The suites offer full kitchens to dine in and stay cozy. Each apartment is beautifully decorated with all the touches you would except from home. They are immaculate. The area is well lit at night to get to your apartment and all paths are cleared extremely well from snow. There is even a fire pit area if you dare too brave the cold. If there is anything you need Andrea is available to help. Communication is great. The Maney family loves the St. Regis Suites and look forward to returning in the Spring. Thank you Andrea! You are an exceptional host. #ventureon

  • Great place to stay for 2 people! Place was sparkling clean and very nice. Definitely would book again!

    Justin2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! Everything is so clean and updated. If you prefer a spot where you can cook your own meals, this is the place for you. The kitchen had everything you need to prep any meal! Not a far drive from Lake Placid or Paul Smiths. Quiet and secluded even though it’s on a main road.

  • The stay was amazing! Super clean and lovely place!

    Chris2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, great communication with host, and super comfy! Place has everything you need and more.

    Heather2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was the most sparkly clean place I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The renovation that recently happened there was done right! Everything is brand new, well appointed, finely finished and just waiting for me to come back for another long weekend. Andrea was quick to respond to my questions. It was a perfect out of the way weekend. Highly recommend.

We have a lovely new home in the amazing Adirondack Park of New York State. We have a panoramic view of the Adirondack Mountains and live in a quiet, safe neighborhood close to Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and Paul Smiths College. Come and enjoy!
You will join Paul and Pat in our home as our guests. Your room is clean, well appointed and comfortable. The bed is queen size. We will provide a continental breakfast.
We are in one of the only farming areas in the Adirondack Park, yet have a killer mountain view. We are unique because we are out of the busy areas, yet very close. Peace and comfort is coupled with proximity to many restaurants, stores, and entertainment.
  • Wonderful people.

  • Fabulous. Immediately felt safe and welcome. Close to our destination which was an added bonus. Very clean. Beautiful scenery. Both Pat and Paul helped us process our trip to a local college and shared in our excitement. Definitely will stay with them again!

  • Pat & Paul are Amazing... and Gracie so adorable. We enjoy every moments of our stay. You feel like home! Thank you so much!

    Nathalie2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We kicked off a week-long trip (mostly backcountry camping) by staying with Pat and Paul. The location is very convenient and the accommodations are super comfortable, beautiful, and clean. We truly loved getting to chat with the hosts (and meet/play with Gracie the dog) and it felt like visiting new friends. A perfect start to our trip.

Settle in, unpack, then walk 2 minutes down the quiet road to the local pub for dinner - or drive into town. Our cabin provides comfort, privacy and a convenient base for exploring nearby Saranac Lake, Lake Placid and the surrounding area. A historic ice house dating back to the early 1900s, the cabin has been renovated to feature a cozy loft, bathroom and comfortable indoor and outdoor sitting areas. We've put more photos on Instagram @adkcabin and on Faceb00k at /adkcabin.
This cabin was built in the early 1900s as an ice house for the farm and local neighborhood before refrigeration arrived the Adirondacks. It has since been renovated with a loft area and bathroom. We have continued to update the space with free wireless internet, a brand new mattress, smartphone charging station and a small kitchenette equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and electric kettle. A comfortable full-size bed is located in the loft area. The main sitting area could also accommodate extra overnight guests who bring their own sleeping bags (we provide a cot). There are chairs and a table both indoors and outdoors for eating, reading, writing or working. A lovely private porch overlooks the property and Ricketson Pond. A hammock is set up by the pond, which offers opportunities for wildlife viewing and paddling. There is a pub within walking distance that serves homestyle cooking, locally-sourced burgers and a good selection of NY craft beer. We have 24 sweet laying hens out in the barn yard if you'd like to purchase fresh eggs before you leave! This private and comfortable Adirondack cabin is the perfect base for exploring the culture of Saranac Lake and surrounding areas.
Located minutes from downtown Saranac Lake and Lake Placid, this cottage is an ideal location for visitors exploring this region of the Adirondacks who want to be in close proximity to cultural centers. Nearby food options include The Shamrock Bar & Grill and CAVU Cafe for the best breakfast around, and the famous Donnelly's Ice Cream shop two miles down the road.

  • Emmett’s place is so great! it’s very cozy and cute! Emmett is also a very gracious host. Overall great stay

    Samantha2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed over the weekend to go snowboarding at Whiteface. We had a great time staying here. Everything was as advertised. Even on a -15º night, the room was nice and warm. The baked goods (scones and muffins) and coffee were a great start to the mornings. About a 30 minute drive to Whiteface (our GPS kept telling is 45, but it's not) and 20 minutes to Lake Placid. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

    Shaun2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful place, the owners give complete privacy and everything was very neat and clean.

    Josh2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Emmett's place is so cozy and in a fantastic location, literally a few minutes drive from downtown Saranac Lake. Check-in was a breeze, and the fresh baked scones were the best my boyfriend and I have had. Despite being a room within their house, it is very private with your own bathroom and entrance. Emmett is also very responsive if you have any questions. We loved our stay and will definitely look to stay again if we are exploring the high peaks!

    Katie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very clean and private and nicely decorated. The host was kind and quick to respond and very helpful. Less than a 2 minute drive from the heart of Saranac lake. Would highly reccomend staying here and I would definitely stay here again in the future.

    Alex2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • It was my second time visiting and I could not recommend this place any more. Ashera is a wonderful, funny, warm and empathetic host. The surroundings are incredible, the location is remote and perfect for disconnecting and recharging. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well stocked and easy to make meals. I’ve met some great people on both weekends that I will continue to keep in touch with. I will be a regular at this place!

    Lauren2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a true sanctuary, Ashera is hands down the most amazing host I've had, very welcoming. The entire land she created is simply magical. I felt like everyone there were friends I had known for a long time. Definitely will be back and hopefully bring more good vibes over. Thanks Ashera!

    Winson2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a magical place to stay. Comfortable bed, beautiful setting, everything you can possibly need on site. I had an amazing massage and energy healing from Ashera and I left after my weekend feeling like a million bucks, recharged, invigorated and well rested. I met some other amazing travellers at Ashera’s. I’m not normally one to mingle with strangers but this place pulls positive and loving souls together. I loved it so much I’m going back next weekend!

    Lauren2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • 100% will be going back. This is a wonderful place to disconnect from the everyday. Ashera welcomed us into her community with open arms and made us feel completely at home. We had much too short of a visit.

    Ashley2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Such a special place. Exactly as described...like camping on a much loved and very special family summer retreat. Fold into whatever family or guests are doing (meals, campfire singalongs) or just soak in the magical water and surrounding area in quiet. Ashera is a beautiful soul tending to a special place. ✨

    Jennifer2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place. Staring out over water and fire pit. Wonderful simplicity.

    Andrea2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Little Old Gazebo was a perfect sanctuary getaway. It’s private yet you can join in on the community vibes, cozy, beautiful view, loved the kitchen space and all the toys to play with around the property. It’s like having your own personal lakeside retreat with a wonderful host. This place is truly magical and I’ll definitely be back!

  • Great value for anybody looking to stay in Paul Smiths or Saranac. We stayed here rather than Saranac to avoid the crowds. Although a little too far for Uber with effort you can catch one to town and back if needed. The space is of wonderful value and very well put together it’s like having a 5 star apartment all to yourself!

Rainbow Lake is an ideal location for those wanting to explore all the Adirondacks have to offer. Hiking, biking, boating, fishing, skiing and snowmobile trails are all within just steps or a few minutes from our cabin. Newly remodeled in 2019, it is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. If you need suggestions for recreational opportunities, just ask and we can help.
The Rainbow Lake cabin was formerly the location of our fly shop, Wiley's Flies prior to changing locations to Ray Brook, NY. You will notice a few "relics" from the past history of the fly shop! We have spent two years working on converting the space with all new roof, floors, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. While the inside is complete, we have to finish some siding on the addition and landscaping so bare with us as we complete the exterior changes. The porch is storing some lumber and building supplies for finishing the exterior. We won't work on it while occupied, no need to worry about construction noise! Enjoy the peace and quiet of Rainbow Lake!
Snow mobile, paddling, biking, x-country skiing, snow shoeing...literally out the front door! There are extensive snow mobile trails that span hundreds of miles combined that can be accessed about 200 yds from the cabin. In the summer months they make for great biking and trail walking with the bonus of raspberries and blueberry patches along the way. Saranac Lake 9.1 mi. Lake Placid 18 mi. Titus Ski Center 33 mi. Whiteface Ski center 29 mi. Mt. Pisgah Ski Center 9.4 mi. Paul Smith's College 4.4 mi. St.Regis Mountain trailhead 6.7 mi. Pack Basket diner and the Adirondack Market are approximately 1.9 mi. from the cabin. The diner is open for breakfast and lunch Tues.-Sunday, 7am-2pm. The market has everything you might need from a small grocery store, gas and some great pre-made meals if you don't want to cook. Open 7am-9pm 7 days a week! The Shamrock Bar and Grill doesn't disapoint, located just 4.2 mi. away it offers great fooda nd drinks without the price tag and is a very casual atmosphere. If you are in a hurry, this wont be for you as everything is made to order so relax while you wait! It can be VERY busy from 6-8pm on most days and is open 7 days a week 11am to 10pm and they will serve food right up till the end which it can be dificult to find any restaurant in the Lake Placid region to serve past 9pm so it is perfect for a late finish on the trails, lakes, rivers or mountains. I'll be filling in a guide book to share all my favorites with our guests so look there for more local info on all things Adirondacks!
  • Very nice place! We loved staying in the cabin! The picture are exactly what you have. The cabin is cozy, super clean and very well equiped.

  • Great place to stay. The place was clean, quiet, and perfect for 2 people. The location is good, very close to major road and an easy drive to Lake Saranac. Vincent was very responsive. We got in at 2am & the place would’ve been impossible to find in the dark, if not for Vincent’s help. He gave excellent directions and left the lights on so we could find the place. Highly recommend!

    Rebecca2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is cozy, clean, a great little private spot to hang your hat for a while.

    Andrew2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, sweet little cabin. Pretty much all the utensils and pans you need to cook homemade meals. Plus it conveniently has a full-size stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. Comfy bed and sleep sofa was comfy too.

    Scarlett2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Vincent's place was fantastic. Nice little tucked away cottage. Exactly what you see in the pictures. Perfect place to stay while you're checking out the ADK. Close to Saranac Lake, a gas station conveniently close by, nearby to Lake Placid. Also nearby to many breweries and a convenient drive to several of the 46. All in all a fantastic place to stay.

    Cheyenne2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • My spouse and I had a great stay. Place is secluded but easy to find. It's clean with everything you need. The cookie jar was a nice touch.

    Stephen2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Vince was a great host with exceptional communication from the time of booking all the way through check out. He was very helpful with directions and leaving lights on (and even offering assistance upon arrival) for a very late check in. The place was perfect for a weekend hiking getaway, and has all the amenities one could ask for...it was welcoming, clean, stocked with all you’d need for cooking, and WiFi & smart tv was an added bonus. Would definitely book again!

  • Willie's place is wonderful and full of local touches. It is spacious and homey and a great location for a woodland escape that isn't too far from town.

    Nicole2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Willie’s place is full of cozy, Adirondack charm. It was the perfect size for our weekend getaway and had everything we could’ve needed. We especially loved the giant bean bag chair and toasty fireplace! It was about a 15 minute drive to Saranac and 30 to Placid; nice little drive to any local attraction. We had a pretty packed itinerary ahead of time, but given the opportunity, we would’ve taken advantage of all the recommendations and guides that Willie provided. Overall, an excellent stay!

    Sydney2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is simply adorable and perfect for a couple. We loved it! Willie is a communicative and thoughtful host. There's a very large driveway parking area and one flight of stairs up into the apartment. WiFi and a streaming TV are available. It's very tidy and the decor is very sweet. The fireplace heats the space very nicely (there is also a thermostat), the bed is comfortable and the kitchen has more than enough amenities available to meet your needs for a meal. We spend a lot of time out and about, but made our New Year's Eve surf and turf dinner right there in the kitchen without any problems! There's a diner right at the corner that we noticed but didn't try out, a convenience store/deli/gas pump not far from the house on Rt 86 heading into Saranac. The area is just far enough out of the way to be quiet and spacious but still close enough that you're only about 10 minutes from Saranac and an approximate 20 minute ride to Lake Placid's Main St. I am hoping to be able to stay here again in the future!

  • A must stay if you’re heading anywhere near Rainbow like. Carol was a great host going above expectations. The treetop cottage is spacious with everything you would need to stay. A private dock, fire and cozy cabin is everything you would need here. Can’t wait to come back and visit next summer.

    Chelsey2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Carol and her husband are both very nice and helpful folks. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. It’s a very quite location and we enjoyed our stay very much.

    Philip2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the Treetop Cottage for a visit to Paul Smith's college- convenient location to the college, yet tucked away in a quiet wooded cove, best of both worlds. We had everything we needed, plenty of space for 2, quiet, clean, and cozy.

    Jennifer2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful time at Carol's place. The cabin felt very private and secluded and was completely spotless. It was so nice having coffee on the balcony and listening to the loons in the morning. The canoe and kayaks were great to have, and Rainbow Lake is amazing to paddle on. Would definitely stay here again!

    Theresa2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful visit here. The studio cabin is so comfortable, clean and has everything you need. We were even able to make great meals in the efficiency kitchen with the hot plate and mini fridge. They had plates, utensils, pots and pans, and everything was in great condition. The hosts went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed in the cabin and on the lake, which is just a short walk down the hill from the cabin. It was so private! Our cell phones didn’t get service but the WiFi worked great so we were fine. The pictures and description were very accurate.

    Anne2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, and and excellent value.

    Jenna2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect spot to go for a relaxing weekend. Couldn't have asked for a better location. The guesthouse is peacefully tucked back behind the main house amongst the woods, but access to Rainbow Lake is still easy and very worthwhile to explore by kayak/canoe (they have life preservers and fishing rods there too!). Also, be sure to take a short drive to Saranac Lake or Lake Placid. There are some really unique places to eat and explore! Aside from the location being top-notch, the hosts were incredibly welcoming and down to earth. They made sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun weekend, from charcoal for the grill to brochures and a book inside with suggestions for things do during the stay!

    Alaina2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I (and our dog) stayed at Carol's place for a long weekend and we had a great experience. The space is like an Adirondacks-themed studio apartment up in the trees with a bunch of natural light. We didn't spend a ton of time at the location itself because we were out and about in the park as often as the weather would allow. Rainbow Lake is in an ideal location - it's easy and relatively quick to get to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and Tupper Lake, as well as a bunch of other awesome locations. We did use their dock at least once a day to fish. We also used the canoe to fish further out on Rainbow Lake which was our favorite part of the entire trip - the lake was so calm and beautiful AND my husband and I both caught pretty large bass (added bonus!). We had access to the dock, canoe/kayaks, fishing gear, fire pit, grill, etc. the entire time. I highly recommend this spot - whether you're looking for a cozy space to relax in the quiet woods or somewhere just to sleep/shower/hold your belongings while you adventure, this will fit your needs! It had everything we needed and more, and it was clean!

  • Ashera's retreat is a stunning slice of upstate escapism. A serene hideaway where nature and restoration reside at your fingertips, with the scrappier elements of camping readily available to you across the property. Build a fire, soak in the stars, and be sure to take Ashera up on her weekend yoga class (she is an incredible teacher!). Highly recommended for the adventurous traveler.

  • The Nuthouse is a cozy little satelite house with really cool artwork on the walls. It was really refreshing being in such a quiet environment near a lake and far from cities. Incredible sunsets over the lake too! Absolutely loved it there!

  • You can feel the love and welcoming atmosphere for all at Westwinds. Go with an open mind and heart and you won't be disappointed.

  • Ashera's place is absolutely wonderful! She really spent time making everything warm and welcoming, I felt right at home. The view of the lake from the house is beautiful, and Ashera took time to go kayaking and do yoga with my friend Victor and I. The perfect place to recharge and have some alone time, and also to explore nature with great company. I will definitely be back when I get the chance to!

  • Perfect stay, very quiet and close to Saranac Lake.

    Sam2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Ashera is super genuine and her tiny house is totally weird and sweet :) access to kayaks, canoes and a lovely fire pit right on the lake make the stay feel really magical— would definitely stay longer next time around!

    Amanda Trivell2018-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • The Nut House was an excellent little getaway for the long weekend! Ashera was a wonderful hostess who made every effort to make all her guests feel comfortable during their stays. She also went the extra mile and offered extras wherever she could, including providing snacks, suggesting local activities, and even "upgrading" me to the larger cottage on the property when it was empty on my last night there. I staked out the Master bedroom with a lake view, which was a lovely end to my visit. :) Additionally, Ashera offered daily by-donation yoga classes throughout the long weekend. As I was travelling alone, and am prone to introversion, this was a great opportunity to meet and talk to others staying in the area, and make some new friends. As at the time I booked the space, there were few reviews of the Nut House specifically, I'll write a little about it here. It's a little one-room (bed, chair, dresser, hammock outside) cabin on the property with a larger cottage and several tents on-site. Staying in the Nut House does NOT grant access to the main cottage. There are outdoor kitchen and washroom facilities on the property. Considering the low price, this is NOT something to complain about! There are campsites in the area that cost more than what I paid to stay there. The one tiny bit of feedback I'll provide is that Ashera might want to consider installing an outdoor shower on the property, for both the Nut House and for the campers who might be a little shy about bathing in the lake. But that's small. Overall I had a great weekend here, lots of hiking and reading and yoga and all the things I like to do. :)

    Jessica2018-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! If you are looking for a place to unplug and relax. This is it. Ashera’s spot on Rainbow Lake was totally healing. The lake is beautiful and Ashera and Nole were so accommodating thoughtful. I cannot wait yo go back. I went in August and it was super quiet. The water was really warm and clean. I stayed in the Nut House which was so sweet. I would recommend to anyone who wants to destress and deeply relax. Ashera had a bonfire by the lake my first night and yoga every morning which I missed as I really just needed to rest and recover and SLEEP IN! Just go.

Deep in a snow filled pine forest and next to frozen lakes is a cozy place that takes you back in time. We enjoyed the retreat so much that we reserved it for next December and bringing family to share this experience.

  • Ashera's place is in the exact landscape I have always wanted to find - tucked in among the mountains on a beautiful lake. She readily greeted me upon arrival, provided me with a choice of rooms, and, true to her description, told me about all of the activities and events that were to occur the next day. She was also quick to invite me to join in for any of them. With all of the hiking left to do in the area, and her ability to make you feel so welcomed, I will certainly stay here again.

  • Hans’s studio was the perfect place to spend a long winter weekend! Classy, spotless and cozy with every thing we needed! We were hoping for snow and we got a huge storm and close to zero temps. We were wonderfully warm and Hans kept everything plowed so that we could come and go at will. We loved watching the birds line up waiting for his morning feeder fill up. Hans and Brenda are on the property and were ready with suggestions, even connecting us with a neighbor who has built a yurt. Highly recommended and we look forward to visiting again!

    Bill2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a gem! Everything about it was perfect. We cannot think of a single complaint. Hans and Brenda are terrific hosts and thought of everything possible to make our stay comfortable. We loved waking up in the morning to see the beautiful snow covered evergreens outside our window. Speaking of snow, we had two feet while we were there and they did a remarkable job keeping it all plowed and easy to access. One day was also the coldest of the season but our little studio getaway was totally cozy and warm. Would definitely like to go back.

    Kathy2020-02-10T00:00:00Z

  • We had a great experience at this cozy, spacious studio. Both hosts made it a point to greet/meet us when we were at their property. Well equipped kitchen, cozy dining space and WiFi was great. The space is larger than the photos suggest and the bed was very comfortable. The electric hot water tank meant that we had almost instant on hot water. We would stay at this place again If we find an opportunity to stay in the Lake Placid area.

  • My mom and I had a great weekend at Osita’s place. The cabin was as-described, conveniently located 15 minutes outside Saranac Lake, but on a quiet county road and set back in the woods. We loved the cozy wood-fired stove, an especially nice touch in the winter. Communication and check-in were a breeze. Highly recommend the cabin for a secluded and well-located weekend getaway.

  • This cabin was a perfect home for a winter weekend trip. It's situated right outside of Saranac Lake and is 20 minutes to Lake Placid. We took advantage of local breweries and food in-between hiking and skiing. Very clean, very responsive hosts.

    Eileen2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for privacy and total immersion in the high country of the Adirondacks, then this cabin is where you want to be. It is about a ten or so minute drive to the nearest amenities, so you absolutely get that hermetic experience one comes out to these types of places for. The interior had a rustic, charming flare, with all the requisite tiny irregularities that make for an authentic rustic experience: unfinished wood grains, repurposed logs chopped into lamp housings, and thick, high ceiling joists in the exposed attic towering above. I stayed in January and it was warm inside, and that included the hot water, which was quite dependable. I used the washer/dryer twice and the dishwasher almost every night without a problem. The wood stove is marvelous for extra warmth on the really chilly nights. Osita was a fabulous host. He is incredibly quick on the draw with texts and messages, with basically zero lag, and he is up and around to help with anything that might come up. We had a couple of storms come through during my stay and, being that I had a front-wheel drive vehicle, he was incredibly helpful with navigating the driveway when the snow crept up. And the road just outside the driveway is plowed all the time. I highly recommend this cabin and I plan on visiting here again!

  • This place is amazing! It was even better than we expected! It was the perfect place for a cozy winter getaway in the woods. It was very warm, despite snow and wind outside. There is plenty of space, with 2 bedrooms with nice big beds. It was quiet and secluded, which was exactly what we wanted. We did not have any problems with draft or mice or anything like that. The wood burning stove was great, and the regular heater worked well and quickly. The bed was comfortable. There are tons of lovely books to peruse. It had plenty of pots and pans and everything we needed for cooking. Osita replied quickly when we asked about checking in a little early (which they were happy to accommodate). I loved this place and would definitely stay there again.

  • My husband and I loved staying here for a long weekend. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking all our meals. The wood stove kept us nice and warm. The cabin felt secluded but was still close to lots of stores and restaurants. The art room was the best part! We can’t wait to go back.

Welcome to our cabin by Lake Colby in Saranac Lake. Our Adirondack White Pine cabin is a quaint 500 square feet set up to accommodate a small family on a budget (that’s us) or for a couple getting away. The village beach is located 200 yards away with access to Lake Colby Mt Pisgah is less than a 5 minute drive for snow skiing and tubing. We frequently walk into town using the all purpose trail to go to the library or to get a slice of pizza to enjoy sitting around lake flower.
Our custom built cabin includes everything you could need for your stay in the ADK’s. The cabin is close to town and within walking distance to the town beach but tucked away on a private lot.
The cabin is located at 13 Moir Road which is a small semi private road bordering Lake Colby. There is both seasonal and year round homes located on this quite street.
  • So much to love about this cabin! It was the perfect accommodation for my husband, adult son, and myself. Located about a mile from the center of town, and though it’s just off the highway(not busy), we felt like we were in the woods. Warm and cozy, it was a perfectly quiet retreat....we couldn’t hear a sound. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped, and plenty of room for the 3 of us. Just down the driveway and across the road was the beach access for Lake Colby. Couldn’t have been a more convenient place to meet our ice fishing guide. This is a property I’d go back to over and over again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

  • This air bnb is amazing! There were 4 of us and we were really impressed with the little touches this air bnb offered. He thought of everything! It was fully stocked with everything you need (snacks, water, coffee, half and half, spices, pots/pans, games, cleaning supplies, toiletries) you name it he had it! It was a perfect location, quick 20 minute drive to Lake Placid and 10 minute drive to the Lake Clear Lodge where we did a sleigh ride and speakeasy experience. It was a bit cold so we did not get the chance to do any hiking but we loved it so much we plan to come back this fall and rent this place again! He was also quick to respond and gave good tips. We ate at smoke signals in Lake Placid on our trip and highly recommend. The one double bed is a tad small, but there is two big couches to sleep on if needed!

Brought to life again, our studio was build in late 1800's. Labor of love, as we tried to preserve all the original features of this house. 3 bedrooms, can sleep 4 guests comfortably, but it could accommodate 5. 1 bathroom, small kitchen, with stove, coffee maker, and small refrigerator. In a small, and quiet town of Bloomingdale in NY. 10 min from Saranac Lake NY, 20 min from Lake Placid, NY.
First before you send the request, please, if you have trouble climbing stairs do not book with us, we have set of steep stairs and tub with shower that is made of horse trough. Also if you traveling with kids younger then 12, please do not book with us. It's very hard to decline reservation, but we will if your kids are younger then 12. The reason is same, steep stairs. Our studio is not a luxury accommodation, it is build in 1886 farmhouse, that we restored, cleaned, painted, dressed with furniture, and basic appliances. We spent countless hours making sure our guest house is ready to be visit. It is immaculately clean and cute, and filled with character. It is where our family stays when visiting. Please respect our hard work, and leave it clean when you check out. Studio has two bedrooms upstairs : one with qeen bed and walking closet. Second one has full bed, and small futon, TV and DVD player. No cable. Downstairs 1 bunk bed, full on the bottom and twin up on top. DVD player (we have lots of movies for you to watch on rainy days), no cable. Internet is spotty, it is extension of the internet service from our house, so this is not a strong connection. Cell service is strong all around. Small kitchen with propane stove, pots, plates, mugs, glasses, and silverware, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, toaster, medium size refrigerator. It is rather for basic cooking. Screened in porch with rocking chairs to sit, on quiet evenings. Downstairs is a small bathroom. Also front room, with a big futon to get your outside stuff off, we are asking guests to take the shoes of in the house :) 10 min from Saranac Lake, and 20 min from Lake Placid. Lakes, rivers, hiking trails always close, we will give you all the information and directions about this neck of the woods :) We like our guests to take shoes off in the house :) Being "gentle" with the studio is imprtant to us. Newly painted, and fixed is 157 years old :) Please do not move furniture as the floors are easy to scratch. No open fire, other then using stove, there is lots of candles in the studio, they are only for decoration, and scent. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING, IN THE STUDIO OR ON THE PROPERTY. Thank you for understanding. Fire and CO2 detectors are located on both floors. ATTENTION : Unfortunately our studio IS NOT HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE. The shower tub walls are high, it is made out of the horse trough, and sides are approximately 2 feet high. Also we have a steep stairs leading to the 2 bedrooms upstairs, if you have trouble climbing stairs it may be to difficult for you to use ours as well.
Quiet little town, nice peple around, small elementary school up the road, views of the ADK mountains, small brook running through Bloomingdale to fish in, trails to walk on.
  • This house has a charm! I have never seen such attention to detail in decoration and layout. It feels instantly like home. Justyna is a great hostess. She responds promptly to the messages and warmly welcomes us while letting us quickly settle down. A crowd of little attentions awaited us: biscuits, milk for coffee, English muffin for lunch and little pots of living flowers everywhere. We loved it and plan to return very soon.

    Serge2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay! The house was wonderful and just what we needed. Super close to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. New brewery right down the road which is fantastic. Justyna and Willie were so on point with everything we needed. The wifi is super spotty and if you have at&t forget it. It was such a minor thing though honestly. Chickens right outside was amazing. Our 3 year old loved it! Such a great experience and we would love to come back! Thanks guys!

    Kevin2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Justyna is a super host. She really makes you feel welcome by providing orange juice, milk, oatmeal and bagels for breakfast and also cookies for a snack. She stops in briefly just to check in and is easy to converse with but doesn't hover. Her home has lots of touches that shows she really cares about this home.

    Clyde2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t say enough good things about this space and the host. An amazing little gem in the Adirondacks that is cozy, comfortable and affordable!

    Danielle2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent stay at Justyna's lovely house. Super comfy beds, well equiped kitchen, super quiet spot. We really look forward to our next stay! Thank you for everything

    Yannik2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place was super clean. It is decorated in an intriguing mix of rustic Adirondack and eclectic touches. The beds were comfortable and the space was great for me and my two adult children. I did have some difficulty carrying items to the second floor on the steep staircase with a very low ceiling upon reaching the second floor. The nearby Bloomingdale Bog Trail (a rail trail) made for a very nice afternoon walk with classic Adirondack scenery.

    Ed2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint bungalow with thoughtful touches and great hospitality from Justyna

    Cynthia2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Bloomingdale Studio is a terrific place to stay. Justyna is friendly, thoughtful and easy to contact. She made sure that we got everything we needed throughout our stay. The accommodations were lovely, cozy, and spacious as well as close to all the attractions in the Adirondacks. I would definitely recommend staying at the Studio!

  • Awesome spot, just the wintry wonderland we were hoping for. Chad was great communicating and the space is super comfy and clean. It was hard to remove myself from the la-z-boy, but my wife and I did manage to get a 10 mile ski out to St. Regis Pond in.

  • Great place to get away, beautiful cabin, we had an awesome weekend.

    Justin2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Camp Casey! The cabin is almost like staying at a hotel with the included linens, towels, and toiletries. It is exactly as pictured and the interior spaces and decor are beautiful. There are lots of extra touches throughout as well that made our stay very homey. We stayed with two children and it had everything we needed including a pack n play, kids’ soap/shampoo, toys and kid-friendly plates and cups. We took advantage of the snowshoes, jacuzzi tub and wood burning stove...all of which made our stay even better. Chad was very attentive in his communication and responded quickly with answers to my questions. We highly recommend Camp Casey and would love to rent again. Even our 5 year old said she didn’t want to go home!

  • The Lone Star Cabin was the perfect place for our Valentine’s weekend getaway! Calli was a wonderful host who greeted us when we arrived, and offered tips and suggestions for places to eat and things to do in the area. Her special touches of valentine treats, chocolate and chilled champagne were a pleasant surprise and most appreciated! Not to mention the juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, AND her homemade banana bread which was delicious!!! The cabin was meticulously clean, comfortable, warm and cozy with every amenity we could have asked for! So close to town and just a short drive to Lake Placid. This definitely rates as our top Airbnb stay to date! We will definitely be back!!!

    Mary2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Calli’s place was so cozy and beautiful, perfect for our short Valentine’s Day getaway. She put so much care into everything in the cabin, from the decor to the amenities. My partner and I cooked quite a bit during our stay, and the fully stocked kitchen was so appreciated. As vegans, Calli even provided us with a few light vegan breakfast snacks! The cabin was at the heart of our incredible Adirondacks trip, which we will remember for a long time.

    Jo2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a great getaway in the Adirondacks, this is the place. So clean, cozy with all you need. Callie was great and the towns people were so friendly and fun!! Close to lots of hiking and Lake Placid. Lots to keep you entertained. The Winter Carnival was fantastic, with fireworks and lots of local events. Location was perfect!

    Susanne2020-02-07T00:00:00Z

  • We stayed here for a long weekend. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had almost anything that you could need. Andrea was more than accomodating and a very kind host. The house was modern and beautiful but still comfortable.

    Taylor2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea’s place was immaculate! There was more than enough space for everyone and the environment was safe, beautiful, and serene. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and luxurious. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked with utensils and cookware (including a mixer). The space was clean and there were many games provided for entertainment. Wonderful stay and prompt responses from our host!

  • Very nice place, right in the middle of town. Everything was great, and Stacey was very welcoming and helpful.

  • fully equipped apartment, could prepare meals if you chose to, very convenient to everything in downtown Saranac Late

    Alayne2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stacey was very considerate and communicated well. The check in process was easy and the location of the place was very conveniently located in town. It was walking distance to a few bars! The space itself was quaint and cozy, had an older touch. The one room was a bit drafty due to three wall of it being windows but extra blankets were provided and it was able to be comfortable. With it being in town on a busier street there was a bit of noise from cars and plows but no big deal. All in all, it was a good, comfortable stay and we were able to bring our dog! Everything that was within Stacey's control was great.

  • Second time staying here. Location is great with stores nearby and places to eat a short walk away. Stacey responded quickly to the few messages exchanged. We didn't have any issues but I'm sure if we did she would have been right on top of them. :-)

  • Great location for exploring the Seneca/Lake Placid area. Many restaurants and shops within walking distance. There are also a couple of EV charging stations within walking distance so we were able to charge our car overnight... nice added bonus. The apartment is in an older building that shows its age a bit, but it's large and has everything you need. Being dog friendly is another big plus!

  • Quaint apartment perfect for anyone who prefers to walk rather than drive for accessing the town, while being close to outdoor activities.

  • Great place, we’ve been here before and will continue to come back!!

  • This place was perfect for the wedding I was attending. It was two blocks away from the venue. It was spacious with two bedrooms, a big living room and was totally comfy. It was nice and warm in the cooler weather. I would recommend this place to anyone who is staying in this area.

Another chair (a rocker) is available should you want a second chair in your room - please ask. Enjoy the sweet little space in the room for preparing simple meals. It is well equipped with a compact refrigerator, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker and other kitchen essentials (mugs, glasses, wine glasses and opener, silverware, cutting board, etc.). Coffee, tea, honey, sugar and 1/2 & 1/2 provided. There is a small deck with a bistro table and chairs to sit outside during the warmer months. The Hideaway's ensuite bathroom has a shower (no tub). Bath essentials include towels, wash clothes, EO shower gel/shampoo, hand soap, and hair dryer. The adjacent room is the owner's Yoga Studio. The class schedule is very light with regular classes held weekdays only. Check our Inner Quest Yoga website. Note: We offer a 2nd efficiency for rent on Airbnb: The Nook 1BR efficiency - walk downtown.
The Hideaway is conveniently located a short walk from Saranac Lake's downtown shops, restaurants, and art galleries - take the sidewalk or walk down the railroad tracks behind the house. The village is quaint and safe. Behind our building too is BluSeed Studios featuring art exhibits, workshops, and live music performances. Across the street kitty corner is a small park with a tennis court and basketball court. A mile north is the village municipal beach, park and picnic area at Lake Colby (a lovely spot to watch the sunset) and a boat launch on lower Saranac Lake, which gives access to the spectacular Saranac chain of lakes. Our favorite restaurants in town to walk to are: The Blue Moon Café, The Left Bank Café (for a leisurely meal), Bitters & Bones (a pub with more than pub food), Little Italy (Pizza and Pasta). A quick car ride: Casa del Sol (Mexican) or La Bella Restaurant (Italian) and a local in town brewery is The Blueline Brewery. Although our favorite Brewery is on the out skirts of Lake Placid called Big Slide Brewery and then there is the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery near downtown. Big Slide has an eclectic menu with locally sourced food items. Folks have found the convenience of stores located across the street: The Dollar General, Kinney Drugs, a Wine and Liquor store and Aubuchon hardware. The town of Saranac Lake serves as a great vacation spot for outdoor enthusiasts, no matter the time of year! Nearby find great road or mountain biking, canoeing, hiking, fishing, snow shoeing and x-c skiing. Downhill skiers may explore Titus, Big Tupper and Whiteface Mountains each approximately a 30 minutes drive. Saranac Lakes’ history continues as a health and wellness getaway location. Come see why Saranac Lake is one of the Northeast's pioneering health resorts and why a get away here in the Great North Woods is good for the soul. Like other guests you may want to explore the world renowned neighboring Olympic Village of Lake Placid just 10 miles away. There of course the intrigue of the Olympic venue sites attracts many visitors year-round. Check out the Lake Placid Visitors Bureau website for festivities and 'things to do' there. Breath, relax, feel and be.

  • This is a perfect place to stay while I had work in Lake Placid, as I prefer not to stay there. Check-in was very easy. It’s perfectly clean and comfortable and Mary is a terrific host.

The Green room porch is now closed for the winter months! It now has just 1 double bed. In the spring, summer and fall the Green Room has two double beds. There is an adjoining porch with the second double bed, and this room has a glorious view! This room has a private bathroom with shower. There is a private guest entrance.
The Green Room has two double beds. There is an adjoining porch with the second double bed, and this room has a glorious view! This room has a private bathroom with shower. Each room has a mini fridge, coffee pot, tea kettle and French press. Like all our rooms, there is a private entrance for guests. We also have two other unique rooms that might better fit your needs.
Our big old home is tucked in a forest of dense trees, so it feel like you are hidden away in the heart of the Adirondacks. But we are just three miles from the Village of Saranac Lake. The mood is charming and nostalgic.
  • Andrea and Mike are great hosts. They really go out of their way to make guests feel right at home. Highly recommended!

  • Our stay in The Green Room at The Doctor’s Inn was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable despite the cold weather! I appreciated having amenities such as the mini fridge and fresh water. It was a great value as well!

  • Lovely place tucked away to enjoy some peace and quiet but a close drive to ADK attractions. Andrea and Michael were more than welcoming and thoughtful. The room itself was spotless with beautiful views of the snowy scenery, also well-spaced from other guestrooms. Will definitely consider coming again when the weather warms up!

  • I always look forward to staying at the Doctor’s Inn. Such a serene, comfortable retreat. Everything is clean and (and sheets are super soft), coffee and hot cocoa so delicious (and fairly traded!), and really appreciate the earth friendly products.

    Sara2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Super hospitable and knowledgeable host. Green room was just what we needed, and everything was comfortable. Would stay with again in the future!

Four generations of our family have grown up and developed a deep love for 3 Birches, which offers a rare escape to the beauty and peace of nature. The perfect place to unwind, relax, and have FUN! Our Vacation rental is located in a quiet, protected bay on Rainbow Lake. Ducks, mergansers, heron and loons visit often. Wonderful restaurants and stores to visit, local attractions and event can be found in Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake and Lake Placid, home to the 1932 and 1980 Olympics.
3 Birches has an open floor plan downstairs, which can allow for extra guests or a spacious area for your family to relax and enjoy.
The cabin is surrounded by many trees for privacy. Small bridges allow guests to canoe or kayak to adjoining lakes, but prevent very large boat traffic on Rainbow Lake.
