Room #1 offers a single Queen size bed.
  • The rooms are all very clean and nicely decorated. Jennifer kept a variety of things available for breakfast and snacks and was very accommodating about our requests.

  • This place is so neat! You may end up sharing a bathroom and common area with other guests, but we had the whole place to ourselves the one night we were there. Jennifer has muffins waiting for us upon arrival and responded quickly when I accidentally lock our key in the room. Everything was very clean and smelled amazing!

  • I can not say enough about this listing. It’s beautifully done design wise with vintage furniture and decor that is timeless. It is VERY clean. The host responds almost immediately. The details are well thought out for guests..extra towels, shampoos, etc. The commons area is stocked with a fridge, microwave, keurig, soft drinks, water, yogurt and muffins..including a dining table, couch and chairs that provides a place to gather for coffee, games, to eat or just relax. The bathrooms are shared but wasn’t a problem as we were the only guests the majority of our stay. The tavern next door was closed but we tried pizza and mexican and both were good. We visited the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter and this was perfect. We were very impressed!

  • A great place to stay! Highly recommend!

  • Incredibly unique AirBnB. Felt like home. Clean. Smelled great. Highly recommend.

  • Fun and unique stay in a historic bank building. Jennifer added many special touches to make visitors comfy and to keep them from getting hungry. Very small city with few choices for food. We enjoyed good Mexican food ( rather than pizza or McD. ) The great little BBQ spot next door is closed on Monday and Tuesday so we missed it.

    Beth2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful decor, lots of antiques, food and coffee. No private baths; use hallway bath. Very nicely appointed.

    Rose2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and another guest came into Falmouth to visit the creation museum and ark. Most things were 30 minutes or more away which was one of the downfalls, but Jennifer gave great suggestions about other activities in the area including a church located in a beautiful area, parks and the bbq restaurant next door with wonderful food and karaoke. Everything was extremely clean and well laid out. There were items provided for breakfast and coffee along with other drinks which was a welcome touch. The room was a little warm at times and noisy in room #1 with the restaurant next door but the music ended by midnight on the weekends so it wasn’t much of an issue. For people that are light sleepers I would recommend sleeping on the other side of the building.

Travel back to the 1920's as you stay in this one of a kind hostel nestled in the historic district of downtown Falmouth, Kentucky. YES! It is located above a privately owned bank, which was constructed in 1923!
The hostel features 8 private rooms, two shared bathrooms and 1 common area.
Enjoy the southern hospitality of Falmouth by dining in at one of the many local restaurants, the Smoking Pig Tavern is highly recommended, or by visiting one of the many local attractions: the Ark Encounter, Kincaid Lake State Park, Thaxton's canoeing, Kincaid Regional Theatre and Sugar Pies.
  • Awesome accommodations for a large group, the Top of the Bank was just what we needed, and Jennifer was a fantastic host!

  • This place is amazing!!!! The whole top level is absolutely beautiful!!! The decor is top notch!! Jennifer went above and beyond having refrigerator completely stocked with all kinds of sodas and water, fruit bowls and some super delicious muffins!!! This was the best place our family has ever stayed!!! The beds are so comfortable and all the linens clean and the place smelled heavenly!!!! I would highly highly recommended this place to anyone!!! Thank you!!!!!

  • We loved staying at the Top of the Bank. We were traveling with a number of children and they loved having their own rooms. The space was beautifully decorated and super clean. They thought of everything and provided so much more than you get at a hotel- muffins, yogurt, cold drinks, an ABUNDANCE of towels, board games, information about the area. We would absolutely stay here again!

    Carol2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our family stayed here for two nights on the way back from Tennessee to Pennsylvania. We decided to visit the Ark and wanted a place to be able to have everyone under one roof. The Top of the Bank fit the bill. We arrived later than check in time and we were able to get checked in ok. Check in was through the restaurant right next door. Key code for the door made it easy for our family members to come and go without having to pass around a key. The accommodations were great. Rooms were well done. We love the older touches of what once must have been offices for the bank below. Rooms were adjoining so parents in our group were able to pair up with young kids. The place is technically advertised as a hostel but i could see staying here as a couple or smaller party. Very clean. Each room had a TV but we congregated in the sitting room as a family to talk/read/watch TV when winding down on our day. Fridge was stocked with water and pop and there was a nice coffee bar. There were also games and books for entertaining. We stayed here to visit the Ark Encounter in Williamstown. It was about a half hour ride to/from. With breakfast options in Dry Ridge. If we had been in town Friday/Saturday/Sunday morning we would have stopped at the Smoking Pig next door to try breakfast. Since we arrived Sunday evening, it unfortunately wasn't an option for us...so we ended up grabbing breakfast Monday in Dry Ridge before spending the day at the Ark. We did eat at the Smoking Pig on Sunday after our arrival. Great place for some BBQ and drinks after our long drive. Overall, definitely would recommend staying here. Well done.

  • Excellent stay! We took a family trip to visit the Ark Encounter and the space at The Top of the Bank was just perfect. Jennifer responds quickly to messages and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The check in is the easiest, the rooms were spotless and had so many charming touches and there was a lot of information on things to do nearby. Jennifer had stocked the fridge with waters and soda. There were chocolate chip muffins, banana nut muffins, tangerines and bananas for breakfast plus coffee. And to top it off she gave us a $20 voucher to use at the BBQ restaurant next door, which was excellent! We had a wonderful experience! Thank you so much Jennifer!

    Kristin2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect for our group of 9. My parents loved it! The rooms were just perfect. Enjoyed dinner next door. Neat experience. Highly rec if you are going to Ark and Creation.

  • Great place! Thanks

    Benson2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience! The Bank has a certain charm to it. You don't quite expect so much cuteness. Our church group rented this space because of it's proximity to The Ark Encounter & I am so glad that we did! We had a variety of ages, from 3-75. The beds were comfortable. There were an abundance of towels. The hosts had provided muffins and drinks, fresh fruit and coffee. There were several board games that were provided, as well. Communication was quick and helpful. God blessed us with the best!

Three Pines is a rustic log cabin located on 17 acres with a forest view. Originally constructed in the 1790s by a Revolutionary War veteran, it was relocated to the present location in 2011, where it was reimagined with added modern conveniences. The cabin is great for history buffs and those looking for some peace and quiet in a unique setting.
The cabin does not have wifi. The logs that compose the cabin were hewn in the 1790s by Captain Phillip Buckner, a Revolutionary War veteran. Throughout the 1800s it housed Morford's tavern and inn, with many guests arriving by stagecoach. Despite its long history, the cabin is well-suited to the modern guest. It consists of three floors. Upstairs it boasts the Buckner and Morford Bedrooms, containing a queen and twin bed respectively. A bathroom with a shower/bath adjoins the Morford Room. The middle/ground floor is where guests enter the cabin. Captain Buckner entertained his guests in this space with lavish feasts. In its modern layout, this floor includes the dining room, kitchen, and living room. There is also a lavatory adjoining the kitchen. Though the basement was not part of the original cabin, it flows seamlessly into the modern layout. It includes the Pine Bedroom (queen bed), the den (futon convertible to a double bed), and a bathroom containing a shower. It is a walk-out basement, with a patio space behind the cabin. We like to think that we are carrying on the tradition of Buckner and Morford today as we open the door of this historic cabin to you.
The cabin is located in a rural setting, about 20 minutes by car from the Ark Encounter.
  • Absolutely stunning place. The character of the log cabin comes through everywhere - the decor, the fireplaces, the furniture, etc. Historic tidbits regarding the cabin are everywhere: photos, newspaper clippings, an early 1800s tavern license. That all being said, it has plenty of modern conveniences. This home is definitely rural; expect a very winding (albeit paved) road from town.

Unwind at this secluded idyllic retreat nestled quietly at the end of a wooded country road, along a rolling creek. This 170-year-old cabin was originally two cabins erected in the 1850s. In the 1970s, artist Jim Simon dismantled the log cabins (taking care to label each log) and re-erected them on the Simon Family Farm in Pendleton County. Red Fox Ridge was named for the red fox sometimes spotted running the ridge overlooking the river. Lots of history to be shared and made! Come stay a while.
The cabin offers modern amenities and has plenty of room to sleep 15 comfortably. Two queen beds, one double bed, two twin beds, one trundle twin, one full futon, one full sofa bed, two sofas (one has two recliners); two full baths, one with a Jacuzzi tub. Our galley-style kitchen boasts room to prepare any meal for all occasions. TV, Wifi, and laundry facilities. Guests are welcome to walk the area surrounding the cabin and make s'mores at the fire pit to experience the true serenity of country living.
The Bradford/Simon Family Farm was established in 1815, and six generations since have lived on the farm continuously, raising cash crops and livestock like hogs and milk cows. While portions of the farm have been sold over the years, the family retains 300 acres of the original land claim. This acreage includes several fields which the family currently lease to local farmers. It is also home to healthy centuries-old hardwood forests which the family is committed to conserving.

Renting ONE room in the cozy house. Suitable for guest who likes quiet and works at surrounding areas. This is one of the most affordable places you can find in town. Wifi, Bathroom, Laundry and kitchen's appliances, TV with HDMI cable & firestick are free to use. There are restaurants, groceries shop, USPS & banks nearby which makes your stay convenient! PS: Please read the cancellation policy before reserving. Feel free to message before you book. I'm happy to answer your question, thanks!
If you are travelling for business or attending an event and need a place to stay, this is the best place for you! ;)
This is a very small town. A population of less than 2500. So this area gets quiet pretty soon. There is an athlete park nearby so you can take a walk or exercise there! Just a 5 min walks you can get a decent mexican food, italian pizza, MacDonald or even Chinese Food!
  • Stayed here for roughly a month while out of town for work. Great place and great value! I would definitely consider staying at this location again if I'm ever in the area. Clean location with thoughtful host! WiFi, washer/dryer, and other amenities.

  • The house was very clean and comfortable. Jian was a great host . I enjoyed good conversations and good food. He was very understanding when I had to change my reservation which resulted in technical problems with Airbnb website. I will stay there again if I'm ever back in that area.

Make all your wishes come true in this beautiful handcrafted home. Decorated with amazing antiques, come sample a taste of Kentucky life. Surrounded by country, but close enough to drive to all the interesting places, only 30 minutes from Cincinnati and the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. Only 1 1/2 hours near Whiskey Trail and Kentucky Horse Farms
This house was hand built by my brother and decorated with years of love by my mother. Everything you need to feel at home. From a waffle iron to coffee maker, this could be your new home away from home. Set in the middle of an 80 acres forest, peacefulness is all you will hear, unless you encounter the occasional deer or turkey. Set high on top of a hill, the view overlooks the Licking River.
Nestled in the woods of Kentucky, you are only moments from our backwoods hiking trail, Thaxton's Canoe Livery and 10 minutes from Kincaid Lake State Park and the famous WoolFest. We are only 30 minutes from the Ark Encounter and Cincinnati, Ohio, 45 minutes from the Creation Museum. Only 1 hour from Kings Island, the Lexington Horse Parks and Kentucky Speedway. For the more adventurous, we are only 2 hour drive from the Bourbon Trail and Louisville, Ky.
  • This is an outstanding location for a quiet get away with a historical nostalgic feel. Communication with our host was superb. Home entrance presents privacy and gives opportunity for adventurous exploration. A walking trail from the house that meanders through the woods to a fire pit was an added plus. Fantastic amenities with an extra touch of homemade muffins and pastries highlighted our welcome. Just what we were looking for. A place that gives opportunity for catching up with family and escaping the business of life. Appreciated the slower pace of this community and privacy provided by what our host has created here. Looking forward to returning in the future.

  • I recommend this home for a retreat for a married couple. It is secluded and quiet and full of charming details. We had five guests and navigating the squeaky floors was challenging for light sleepers, but would not be a problem for a couple. Lori had coffee, muffins, and apples for us. There was a trail for a walk in the woods.

    Beth2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • A very cozy, quiet place to stay. It's a bit difficult to find after dark so I'd recommend a daytime arrival. The beds are comfortable and the decor is awesome. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

    Donna2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a little hard to find since Google maps doesn't take you to exactly the right place (but it is pretty close). If you like vintage or older houses this is a great place to be. There are all kinds of old items from the early 1900s here. I felt like I was walking into a museum actually. The beds are VERY comfortable upstairs. definitely would recommend!

  • My husband surprised me with a weekend get-away for our 35th wedding anniversary. We drove from Ohio to Kentucky because I have always wanted to visit the Noah’s Ark Encounter and The Creation Museum. He booked this bed-and-breakfast because of excellent reviews. We were not disappointed! This little gem is tucked away in the hills of Kentucky’s Butler County. It was a little difficult for us to find even in broad daylight because the GPS only took us so far. We eventually discovered the driveway following the online description. We drove up the steep hill, set deep into the woods, and finally found it on our third try. So keep driving even when you reach the narrow rutted part of the steep driveway at he top of the hill. That’s what threw us off the first two times we tried to find it. We would get to that steep dirt driveway part and back out thinking it lead to a dead-end in the woods. Keep going and you will find this beautiful brick hideaway! Lori was communicating with us by text and that was a great help. As you pull up to the house, you are greeted with colorful flower boxes at the windows , potted flowers along the walkway, and a variety of perennial bushes planted along the outside of the house. The peace and quiet atmosphere of this newer construction (w/air conditioning!) replica of an 1800s home, is surrounded by even more peace and quiet! The singing of the birds and the squeaking of the antique steps as you go up stairs, are just a few of the sounds you’ll hear reminding you of a long gone era from the past. We didn’t even turn on the TV the entire time! We found amazing blueberry muffins waiting for us. There was also delicious homemade coffee cake, farm fresh eggs, butter, and all of the necessary ingredients for waffles with syrup! We found apples, clementines, and snack cheese to munch on. My husband who loves ice cream found a fresh pint of cherry chocolate chip ice cream in the freezer just for him! This Victorian era brick domicile has everything needed for a delicious breakfast and more! There is a variety of delicious gourmet coffee choices. We found local places to eat lunch and dinner. In the evening we sipped herbal tea as we read true stories about Kentucky’s history, and many other interesting topics from the plethora of books cleverly placed all around the house. The antiques that decorated the whole place were a delight to look at. Just when I thought I had seen everything in the house, my eyes would rest upon another cute item strategically placed. If you are an incurable romantic history lover like I am, you will love this bed and breakfast!

  • We enjoyed this place tremendously! We felt like we were at home !!! So much better than hotel that we had planned !!

    Gina2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • So clean and spacious! Comfortable beds. We loved the sweet gestures like the guest book and Christmas tree. We stayed just for a quick trip to the Ark. would highly recommend for those with a large party-pull out couch, cot, and the master closet is big enough for a packnplay! Would highly recommend!

    Lauren2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • The home is large and well appointed. There is an electric fireplace and several TV's with Netflix, etc. There's plenty of room to spread out, extra baby items, the beds are very comfortable and the home was spotless. If you plan to cook meals there be sure to bring your own spices and condiments etc. to prepare your dishes. Just plan your meals ahead and even make and freeze them bringing them ready to pop in the oven.

    Nancy2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Way better than the pictures! House is absolutely beautiful. Very clean. We appreciated that there was a pack and play and high chair. The views outside in the fall are so pretty! Highly recommend!

    Jenna2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great hidden gem. Took us 17 min to get to the Ark encounter and 1 hour from the creation museum. Josh left us farm fresh eggs which were delicious! Home was cozy and clean. We even had a visit from the local wildlife. It was an awesome trip. We really enjoyed our stay. Accessibility: We were traveling with someone in a wheelchair and the house was wheelchair friendly. The restrooms worked for us since he has some limited mobility with a walker although it might not work for you if you can’t get in/out of a bathtub. Also the ramp into the front of the house is steep but nice if you have help.

    Emily2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Super organized and up to date. 20 minutes from the ark. Everything you need and a nice quiet area!

    ShirleyandDarryl2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • If you aren't a county person, this charming spot will draw you in. If you are a country person, this is your place. You feel quite secluded, but you're still within easy distance of civilization. The house is spacious and clean. Josh is quick and on top of things. He's also very friendly.

    Jennifer2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great space! So clean! There is also a huge walk in closet off the master that could house another person (we put a baby in a pack and play). We would definitely book again if ever back in the area.

  • Wonderful hosts. Fantastic amenities with a view to boot! TINA and Hunter are wonderful. We had two you boys there and they had so much to do. A definite recommendation.

  • Hunter and Tina were extremely helpful answering any questions in a quick manner even before we arrived. Hunter was very helpful when we arrived to answer any questions. Plenty of privacy. My mom enjoyed the morning sunrise from the Deck. The kids had a blast riding kayaks, and they both loved the Leap of Faith. Thanks again Tina and Hunter I will definitely be telling people I know about your place. Hope to be back soon.

    Albert2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our family enjoyed our time in Kentucky. The cozy cottage and lake view from the deck were remarkable. Tina was quick to answer any and every question I emailed her with, and she and Hunter were very welcoming and helpful. This was our first time staying as a family in an Airbnb, so we didn’t know what to expect, but were very pleased with everything. Being able to make meals “at home” instead of eating out for every meal allowed us to save money, and the kitchen was stocked with all the cooking utensils and pots, pans, and dishes we needed. Thanks so much, Tina and Hunter for your hospitality - our trip was unforgettable!

    Jessica2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the lake and comfortable accommodations, especially use of the kayaks, slide and high dive! Awesome place to relax or go sightseeing at the nearby Arc Encounter!

    Carol2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much for your hospitality. The view, swimming, the deck were all beautiful. Our grandkids loved the leap-of-faith. We went to the Ark Encounter, the Zoo in Cincinnati, the Creation Museum and Coney Island and it was all within an hour away. If your looking for a cozy, welcoming place with a view, this is it! Hopefully our travels will take us back again. Thank you Tina and Hunter for being great hosts.

  • We enjoyed our stay at the cottage! It was exactly what we were hoping it would be like, and more. Our kids were able to swim and play on the deck area everyday after we got back from seeing the attractions around the area . We were able to kayak every morning before the start of our day and finish the day with sitting out on the covered deck patio area. Hunter was very friendly and helpful during our stay and Tina was always quick to reply to messages and very flexible and accommodating for our family. We will be back someday!!!!

    Trina2019-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Tina and Hunter were the absolute best hosts! We were greeted with a basket of treats for the kids from Tina, and my husband had a beer with Hunter in their personal lake bar. The Cottage is so charming, and was perfect for our family. There were plenty of places to sleep, games to play, and everything we needed for our stay. The lake is beautiful, and the view from the deck is great. There is a grill, plenty of outdoor seating, access to lake/docks, some kayaks, paddleboards, life vests, etc. The place is well-kept, and the lake was nice and relaxing. Everything about our stay was exceptional, and we will be back one day! :)

  • This was a fantastic & unique stay for us! Our room was clean & the bed was very comfortable. We slept great! We loved the muffins & fruit that were left for us in the morning & the restaurant next door was great too! Definitely will stay again when we are back in the area.

  • Great and comfortable space. Perfect for my needs. Easy check in and I was able to come and go comfortably. I had no issues with other guests in different rooms. The bathrooms and the kitchen area were fully stocked. I slept very well in the comfortable beds and would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

  • This is a very cute place in an area of an older downtown. There's cute shops and neat architecture nearby. The airbnb itself is very cool being the older structure. It is well maintained and well decorated. We were one of 2 of the 8 rooms that were occupied so it was very quite. Room 8 is attached to the shared living area by a side door that can lock from inside the bedroom. That was very convenient! We loved this place and the nice touches like snacks and games.

  • This a very sweet place. We got there very late at night and had to check out early to get to the Ark Encounter. We were found fresh fruit, melt in your mouth muffins, and cold refreshments in the fridge. She even left a gift certificate for the Restaurant next door in case we go there in time enough to eat dinner. We were thoroughly blessed during our stay!

  • I will definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. Super cool older building with lots of history. Jennifer has done excellent work on the rooms. They were very comfy. Although we shared a couple of bathrooms with others, it was not a big deal at all. The town was a really neat small little town and my daughter and I felt very safe.
