Fawn Cabin is an authentic mountain cabin that truly says Colorado! Set on 5+ acres with beautiful views and privacy. Enjoy the relaxing sounds of the brook rippling thru from the deck, soak in the hot tub, and just relax. Enjoy viewing the deer and other abundant wildlife that are right outside the door. Just 20 minutes from Cripple Creek, 20 minutes from the South Platte river in Eleven Mile Canyon, 10 minutes from Florissant Fossil Beds. Two hours from Denver. One hour from Colo Spgs.
I think the pictures pretty much tell the story. Fawn Cabin is a very beautiful and inviting place where you can relax and unwind in the Colorado Rockies, while still being close enough to all the Pikes Peak area attractions to keep you as busy and entertained as you wish to be. Cripple Creek is only minutes away. Many great hiking trails and trout fishing waters nearby too choose from.
The cabin is situated in Deer Mountain Ranch, a mountain community of homes and cabins on 5 + acre lots. Fawn Cabin has no neighbors on the adjoining lots, and the nearest neighbor is across the road approximately 300-400 yards. The location is very private and peaceful!
  • Fawn Cabin is a fantastic little spot to get away and decompress. If you like to cook, the kitchen will meet the needs of enthusiast cooking. If you can’t let go of stress sitting in the hot tub at and after sunset, maybe nothing will help you. The sound of the breeze through the pines and the distant wind chimes makes for a tranquil atmosphere. There’s a house across the road, and one atop the opposite ridge from which people can see much of Wayne’s property, so the privacy isn’t *total,* but it’s private enough that you feel worlds away from others. Excellent retreat. Wi-fi is good, but leave your work behind and your devices off. They’ll be there for you when you return to reality.

  • Great location! Loved the front and back terraces and the fire pit was excellent. There is no cell service but the WiFi was strong enough for voip calls or FaceTime/Zoom.

  • Beautiful setting— so peaceful . We loved our walks around the property, down the road, sitting by the fire while the kids explored the little river . It was a great getaway place. I wouldn’t count on an adult using the pull-out bed due to the condition it’s in— but it was fine for our kids with a little extra pillow support. Loved the spot and host was great!

  • The cabin was exactly what is shown, it’s quaint and has a great view. The hot tub is amazing and looks out on the land, and the whole cabin is perfect! Definitely want to come again soon!

  • Wayne’s place was amazing! It was very peaceful and having access to the hot tub was great. Would definitely come back!

    Nicole2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great cabin for a getaway. It had everything I needed. I enjoyed the privacy & all of the outdoor options so close by. You can even walk out to the back & it’s a bit of a steep climb but you can get to some pretty cool boulders w/ a great view. Wayne was extremely helpful with some booking issues I had & was very quick to respond. 10/10 would recommend!!

  • Mary’s space was the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in - and Mary was the best host! Everything was so clean and she provided every tiny thing I might have forgotten at home. She gave us several recommendations on food, hiking and breweries and all were incredible. This place is absolutely perfect for 2 people. Any problems we had, Mary was there to fix them within minutes. I highly recommend this place for an intimate getaway!

***LOW RATE FOR SITE CONSTRUCTION!! for January -March/early April !! (Weekdays only, 8-4)**Perfect central location for Colorado Springs exploring! Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch swing, then walk, ride or take a short drive to the best restaurants, hikes, event spaces and fun The Springs has to offer. Our modern, sunny guest house, is in the historic, eclectic Old Colorado City/Westside neighborhood and shares the yard with our home that was built in the 1890's.
**The main house, NOT the guest house, will be under construction so we can have more room for our Foster Kiddos! But the expected noise, and mess is why we are offering lower rates. Please contact us with questions!! Weekday work only*** Welcome to our Fat Squirrel Guest House! This hideaway feels nestled in the trees, with a wonderful large deck for your private use, that you can easily see Pikes Peak (although during the summer, those trees may obscure the view!). Easy off street parking via the alley. The property is shared with our home in the front, and a separate, private, guest space on the ground level beneath you. This property is a great place to feel like you’re part of our Colorado community, in the oldest neighborhood in Colorado Springs. The kitchen has all the basics for your home on the road: Gas stove, microwave, full fridge, small dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, hot water kettle, blender and hopefully any cooking instrument you need. There will be a few condiments and spices available- and some items left by previous guests. If you don't see it, send us a text and we’ll most likely have what you need from the main house. There is coffee and tea to help make mornings a little easier. Towels and linens will be exchanged when you stay more than 5 days. If you need to do a load of laundry we can make arrangements for you to do so in the main house. The bedroom has a queen bed with a memory foam mattress, and the daybed/ couch in the main room has everything you need to turn into a twin bed. A smart TV is logged on to Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu (with the HBO channel) ready to go, and a Bluray for watching videos. *Happy Bonus: We just remodeled the bathroom! Because Colorado has pretty mild, non-humid, weather, there is not a central air conditioner for this space. But, there is a strong, new, AC window unit in the bedroom (We love a cold room when I sleep too!!), that is installed during the summer months. Be like a local and open the French doors to the deck and enjoy the evening air. Please feel free to ask questions! We’re happy to work with you for special requests. ***THIS IS A NON-SMOKING PROPERTY*** (Seriously) (Please) (Thank you!)
I love my neighborhood. It's old. It's eclectic. It's full of great people with interesting stories. One house will be a perfectly restored Victorian, the next home needs TLC and has seen better days. On lovely afternoons, folks will be out on their porch or in their yards, happy to chat with people walking their dogs or on their way to dinner and a beer. Like anywhere, be sure to lock your car and not leave valuables visible. If you need, we can arrange to store larger items in the shed. Hopefully you'll love this quirky part of The Springs as much as I do.
  • Outstanding place to stay! Very comfy bed, hot tub, the kitchen is great for cooking every night, just so great overall! Mary left us a list of things to do, places to hike, and places to eat around town which was also really helpful for our stay. We felt very at home and had the perfect vacation here.

  • Such a cute and comfortable space!! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place in Colorado Springs! Amenities including the hot tub are amazing, the space was so clean, and Mary is a wonderful host - if you’re lucky, you’ll get to meet her dogs!! Hoping to come back soon!

Click on "more about the space" below for Covid-19 info and additional cleaning and pet charges for groups of 5 or more. This is a magical place and you'll feel it as soon as you arrive. It's where the "purple mountain majesties" reside from Katharine Lee Bate's "America the Beautiful". Sit in the living room and take in the magnificent views. 12 months per year, the Fortress at Pike's Peak provides a fantastic getaway. Every picture of views in the listing was taken from the deck.
During this trying time, we're offering discounts of at least 25% off nightly rates for open dates within 4 weeks . Our great cleaning staff is being even more careful than usual, using the proper protocol to disinfect all surfaces and keep the property safe for the guests. Please review the House Rules near the bottom of the listing page. It includes info on pet fee and additional cleaning fee for 5+ guests. There is one neighbor nearby, they are very friendly but we ask our guests to not approach them as they are senior citizens and at a higher risk. Stay at The Fortress and stay safe. It's an amazing getaway for folks to de-stress during these trying times. There is access to great hiking trails only a mile from the house and we provide specific info to booked guests. "The Fortress" is a perfect getaway no matter what the season. During the summer, cooler mountain temps provide an oasis from the heat. In the fall the colors change and it continues to be a great base camp for outdoor adventurers. It's a spectacular winter wonderland and always a great place to bring the family for holidays as well as special occasions. It has the best views in the area, some say anywhere, and you don't even have to go outside to see them. Do you see a less expensive place offering the same views from the great room or even from a back deck? It is very unlikely. Don't waste your hard earned money on a place that has great views for squirrels and birds but not guests. Many places misrepresent their views. The Fortress is the real deal! Great access to easy hiking. Just one mile drive or hike to get onto trails in Mueller State Park without a fee! So venture out or stay cozy, yet feel like you're in the middle of it all! Every picture you see of views was taken from the deck! The Fortress provides a perfect environment for an unforgettable family vacation which you'll treasure forever. Our valued guests hate to leave and look forward to returning. This ultimate mountain getaway sits high atop a hill on the western slope of Pike's Peak, providing unobstructed views of the magnificent Sangre de Cristos mountain range. And you can even see the visitor center atop Pikes Peak looking east from the deck. Only a scenic 2 hour drive from Denver (1 from Colorado Springs). This mountain chalet style home consists of 2180 SF on 3 levels with floor to ceiling south facing windows, providing amazing light on the views during sunsets. Great room features ample seating , electric simulated fireplace, dining area and modern, fully stocked kitchen + 2 full bathrooms. The Fortress includes all the comforts of home, including WiFi. There's an HD flat panel TV in the great room and 50" HD TV with a great soundbar in the lower level rec room both offering DISH TV's Top 120 stations and local stations from Colorado Springs and DVR capability plus Netflix! The large loft bedroom has a comfy king bed with full bathroom/shower and a walk in closet. Two bedrooms on the main level each offer queen beds and share a full bath. The lower level has a queen size sofa bed. We can set up 2 additional twin beds and a king mattress on the floor of the lower level as well to accommodate larger groups. Lower level family room with direct access to spacious walk-out concrete patio and large hot tub/spa. Send the kids down here for their own big screen HDTV and a small pool table. A nice selection of board games are provided. The wrap around 600 sq ft deck includes gas barbecue and comfortable options for dining or just sitting and taking in the view. Tastefully decorated throughout, carpet, tile and hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings. Very romantic get away for two or perfect for a family reunion of up to 12. Short drives to golf, rafting, great hiking and many great attractions like the Pikes Peak Highway, Royal Gorge Bridge, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Cave of the Winds, wildlife sanctuaries, and of course the center of Cripple Creek is only 7 miles away. Guides to all attractions available on property and booked guests receive info on whatever they request and expert suggestions.
One of many amazing features is that you can see the Visitor Center on top of Pikes Peak from the house. There is only one other house close by and that is a full time residence owned by a lovely retired couple who are always helpful and glad to meet new friends. Their home does not hurt the fantastic views in any way.
  • This place was awesome! My wife and I planned a last minute trip to Colorado and were looking for a place that was in the mountains and desolate and this fit the bill perfectly!

    Scott2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great space close to hiking and Manitou Springs. We were greeted by deer our first evening on the property and woke up to some beautiful snow on our last morning. A great space to stay and relax which feels like home.

    Tesia2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Regina is a very thoughtful host! Her cabin is cozy and warm. 100% preferred it to staying at any hotel. It’s like a mini condo and the decor and feel is homey and woodsy. The only thing I think anyone should know is the restroom isn’t attached to the bedroom. Other than that, it’s absolutely perfect. We had an amazing time and made some great memories. It’s not that far of a drive from many of the fun outdoor activities we planned, but we had our own car and drove to many places. There was absolutely no traffic in comparison to Houston, which was also very nice. Overall a great experience. Would highly recommend.

The hot tub is private and they even have a towel warmer and robes which were very nice extra touches. They have the kitchen well stocked - they even had breakfast food there for us. They gave us a great bottle of wine too! I can’t say enough about what a great stay we had. Everything was above and beyond our expectations. Not a single complaint could even be thought of. Thank you Robert and Ingrid!

    Amber2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kyle was very accommodating even though my trip was very last minute, check-in was very easy as we just enter the passcode and could leave and go as you please. There was much to do around the area, and he kept a book to inform guest of things to do around the area. The place was sparkling clean and very beautiful. Any questions or concerns I had were answered very quickly, he was very attentive and made sure we had a great stay, there was even a little note from him personally wishing us a nice stay. Thank you so much Kyle for a great weekend!

  • Amazing place, very roomy and the views around it are great!

    Zachary2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Eric’s place was fantastic — my wife, pups, and I had a blast. The house itself is cozy and charming, and the location was perfect for what we needed. I hope we can come back some time.

    Ryan2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great place to rest our heads!

    Jennifer2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • I went to stay at Erik’s place with a couple friends from out of town and had a wonderful experience. We chose this place because it was very reminiscent of a cabin we used to stay at near the Seattle area and the place met every need we wanted. The cabin was perfectly ready for us upon arrival with clear instructions for everything and even included a good amount of food and drinks for us. Erik spoke very kindly and answered every question we had right away. Would very much recommend this place to anyone looking for a mountain getaway like we were.

    Cameron2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great, it was my first time using the app and I haven't got a single regret. Perfect size for a small group, and in a prime location. Nothing is too far out of the way, and Eric did a fantastic job of making sure we had everything we needed before we got there 10/10

    Brennon2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and cabin. Outstanding value, quick responses.

    Ruth2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Eric’s place was so very peaceful! The views were outstanding and the cabin was more than suitable for my guest and I! There is a hike nearby called horsethief falls that is to DIE for, the views are one of a kind. The cabin itself had everything we needed!

This log cabin was built in the late 40s or early 50s. Part of the original homestead, the cabin was renovated with reclaimed materials. The trim was repurposed or locally milled. Located on 40 wooded acres, this is the perfect place for solitude and yet it is close to amenities and attractions.
This cabin has a small kitchen with a 2 burner cook-top stove, a microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven and dorm size refrigerator. There is no freezer though we can provide a cooler if needed.
Our property is less than a 5 minute walk to endless trails in the Pike National Forest. You are also welcome to take advantage of all that our 40 acres has to offer.

Pineridge Cabin is a cozy honeymooner's get-away nestled on a wooded hillside at 9,400 feet above sea level. It is located nine miles from Cripple Creek, to the south, and nine miles from Divide, to the north, and thirty-fives miles west of downtown Colorado Springs. Approximately forty-five miles from the Colorado Springs Airport and 122 miles from the Denver International Airport. It offers all of the amenities of home except a washer and dryer but the scenery and views well make up for it.
Our cabin is also located 2 miles from Mueller State Park for miles of hiking trails and endless wildlife. Just next to that is the Crags that offers the western trail up to the top of Pikes Peak. Close by is Eleven Mile Reservoir and the South Platte River. And in the cabin are brochures for endless activities in and around the area to include Colorado Springs. All-wheel drive or four-wheel drive is required in the winter months. All-wheel drive or front-wheel drive is recommended for spring, summer, and fall months. A Note to interested folks: We have encountered some extensive damage due to the neglect of past guests either not reading our house rules once they have booked or simply not following our guest expectations, operating procedures, and rules once they check in. This cabin is our personal property and not a chain hotel such as the Hilton. We do take pride in keeping our cabin clean and in great shape for not only our guests to use and enjoy, but also for our personal use and enjoyment. There are some simple rules that need to be reviewed and understood once you have reserved the cabin. The operating procedures for fireplace use, hot tub use, heat settings, and lock up procedures are set in place for guests who have never used these items before. And they are also put in place to ensure our cabin or hot tub does not freeze in the sub-zero winter weather due to neglect; or the cabin does not catch on fire due to unfamiliarity or neglect in use of the fireplace. We also ask that guests leave the cabin in the condition found upon check in. We do not live near the cabin and it is only polite to leave the cabin neat and tidy just as you found it and not leave our cabin in a condition as if you were checking out of the hotel. The person that takes care of the cabin comes from 17 miles away in rain, shine, or snow to help us keep it in order. Unfortunately guests cannot see the "Simple House Rules" until you reserve our cabin. But if you do reserve the cabin and cannot agree to the "Simple House Rule" in helping take care of the cabin, please promptly cancel your reservations and find another listing to choose from. We do apologize for sounding this way but it is frustrating when guests cause or extensive damage due to neglect when the "Simple House Rule" are clearly identified. Thank you.
Quiet neighborhood. The peace and quiet and the views from the deck and the hot tub just make it a wonderful, relaxing getaway. The wildlife, mainly deer, walk by the cabin often on the trail behind and in front.

  • The location can't be beat if you are looking for a true mountain getaway. It was super cozy with all the amenities you need. The hot tub was amazing for soaking after a long day of snowshoeing at nearby Mueller State Park. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils and even a few basic oils and spices. I would highly recommend staying at this cabin if you are looking for a relaxing retreat!

This nice and cozy little studio has a private entrance and is adjacent to our home on our 2-acre property at 9100 feet of elevation with great views of Pikes Peak and the surrounding mountains. Self service check-in and check-out.
We moved to Colorado from Minnesota 16 years ago and discovered family and friends like to visit us now. ;-) As the home we purchased is a bit small, we decided there was a need for another space for guests so we built this studio apartment. It's a cozy little space for 2 with all the conveniences for a short trip away from home.
Our neighborhood is a community of 2-acre properties. The neighbors are friendly but private folks. Lots of open space!
  • Perry + Jeanien’s Place is one for the books for us. We absolutely adored the space and the surrounding area. It’s definitely a place we will miss and we will cherish it. We have seriously been thinking of coming back to stay here again for when we visit the area to do hiking and such. The best quaint and quiet place for a getaway - what a getaway really is for us. We’re so thankful.

Hello ! Thank you to all the guests who stayed with us ! We are sorry to say we will no longer be a host :( We relocated to a more secluded area and are not able to take the Airbnb with us ! We enjoyed hosting ! and meeting all of you ! Thank you for staying with us and for all your great reviews ! Safe travels ! Jo and Max
Our Studio is a perfect stop over or get a way for people who enjoy their privacy and love nature. It has all the creature comforts to make your stay enjoyable. You will have a king size bed to stretch out in, a sofa that converts into additional sleeping space (it is a tight squeeze for 2 but will work), a large shower, electric fireplace, WIFI, a small refrigerator with mini freezer, coffee maker and small microwave. There is usually zero cell phone reception here, so you will need wifi calling. You will also have access to a BBQ grill and outside seating. The local grocery store is just 7 minutes away, along with a brewery, pub, and a great burger place ! You may hear some noise once in a while, but our living quarters are on the opposite side of the house and we rarely hear each other. You may hear our dogs, or others in the neighborhood on occasion, but for the most part things are pretty quiet around here !
We are located about 7 minutes from Divide, less then 20 minutes to Woodland park (which includes Charis Bible College 12.4 miles door to door) 20 minutes outside Cripple Creek, 45 minutes to Colorado Springs, 1.5 hrs from Royal Gorge and just under 2 hrs from Breckinridge. Our home is located in a community with private ponds. You are welcome to walk them and explore, just let anyone who may ask you that you are friends with Max and Jo ! The ponds are private and only members of the fishing club have access to fish. Less than a mile down the road is Dome Rock, which is a great place to hike. We have lots of wildlife. We also have bears and mountain lions so while you are out and about please be aware of your surroundings. There are some snakes, although rare, especially if you are going hiking and climbing in more secluded areas. The peak you can see from our valley is Sentinel peak and it is the tail end of Pikes Peak. Please respect our neighbors yards and stay on the dirt roads while exploring. Storms do arise quickly here at 9,000 ft so keep your eye out for lightening and return to safety as soon as possible. Make sure to drink plenty of water ! No open fires permitted. Please secure food and trash inside. We would recommend that you do not leave food in your car as bears have been known to break into them ! (unfortunately they are clever enough to get in but not out !!! )
  • Excellent hosts! You will not be disappointed in any way! Perfect accommodations!

Perfect, cozy, turn of the century, Bunkhouse. Comfortable Western decor. Off the beaten path, just a few miles from restaurants and shopping. Fenced in area for dog. 45 mins to Colorado Springs, minutes to the National Monument and National Forest. Landmark rock formation and views of Pikes Peak and the continental divide from the property. Miles of hiking trails and world class fly fishing nearby. Rustic western Bunkhouse recently remodeled. Outside there is a gas grill (Propane is provided) and a small fire pit. There is a large fenced area for your dog...please note there is a $15 fee for each dog staying with you
The Bunkhouse is in a very quiet rural area. There is a lot of wildlife that will come around the yard. Please enjoy and respect the peace and quiet. Keep noise and outside lights to a minimum.
  • This place is beyond incredible! It was so perfect for a getaway for my husband’s birthday! The scenery is beautiful. The little cabin has everything you need. While there isn’t a full kitchen, there’s a microwave, toaster, electric kettle, refrigerator, electric griddle, and propane grill. We explored the area a bit and saw numerous deer, rabbits, and a red fox. The sunset here is beautiful. I highly recommend this place for a night away! David and Renee communicated all the details and were very fast to respond. Thank you for a great stay!

    Kylea2020-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • The bunkhouse was amazing. There was a coyote on the highest points of the rock nearby. It was like a movie and my dogs loved the large play area by the cabin. I absolutely loved it.

Peak View Park has some of the best views of Pike's Peak in the city! Walgreens, Safeway, Liquor Store, Walmart, Mcdonalds, Starbucks, downtown Woodland Park, are all nearby.
  • Linley's tiny home was just what we needed! Fun space, fully equipped kitchen, and great access to nearby trails and points of interest. Linley was great with communication before and throughout our stay. I would happily book again!

  • My wife and I had an awesome stay in Woodland Park and Linley was a great host! The house was comfortable and clean, and the view of Pikes Peak was amazing. Linley was super attentive and came by to check on us during our weekend stay. We recommend this home and would love to visit it again.

  • The tiny house is charming and adorable! On the outside it looks truly tiny but the inside is roomy and homey. The view of Pike’s Peak is indescribably beautiful. Great location; close to Colorado and Manitou Springs.

This space is an entire basement floor with a private entrance, one bedroom, a relaxing separate living room, and luxurious bathroom with a private sauna. The hot tub and front porch overlook beautiful Pike's Peak. We are minutes from downtown Woodland park with cute local restaurants, parks and shops. We can't wait to share our favorite city with you!
Your space is the entire basement floor of our home, and is separate from out living area upstairs. Since this is our primary residence, you will probably be able to hear us moving about upstairs, but we do our best not to be overly noisy. You will have your own bedroom with a very comfortable queen bed, living room with pull out couch, kitchenette, bathroom with sauna, and hot tub. The kitchenette does not have a full oven, but we did provide a hot plate and large toaster oven. There is also a fireplace for you to use. The space has an Amazon Firestick that you can use a variety of streaming services that we will leave signed in for your use (Hulu, Netflix, etc). We just ask that you use our guest accounts for those services. There are also several channel apps that you can access using your cable or satellite subscription. We would ask that all smoking be done outdoors and away from the house.
Our neighborhood is relatively quiet, but very close to some cute shops and restaurants in downtown Woodland Park. We really enjoy Local Lion Coffee Shop, AJ's Pizza, and Memorial Park. We are located 12 miles from the entrance of Pikes Peak, 17 miles from Garden of the Gods, and 19 miles from downtown Colorado Springs.
  • Not far from town but you’ll feel much further away. I’m now convinced every bathroom needs a sauna. Hope to be back eventually!

Experience life in the Colorado Rockies as it was 100 years ago! We have added some 20th century to the mix. Walk out to 1000 acres of Nat. Forest, rockhounding, fishing and reconnecting with nature. 40 min from Co. Spgs & 30 min from Cripple Creek.
Our 1860's cabin started out as a stagecoach stop and was turned into a homestead in the 1880's. The cabin sits on our 21 acre horse ranch. It backs to the Pike National Forest. Lake George is famous for rockhounding. The Prospector's show on the Weather Channel is filmed around Lake George. The cabin is a mile off of highway 24 but feels secluded. There is a country store, restaurant and liquor store within a couple miles. There is a cooktop, pots and pans, dishes, utensils. toaster, refrigerator, microwave, outside a grill with supplies.Keurig coffee maker complete with coffee, tea and cocoa. Bagels and cream cheese and some fresh eggs from our chickens. Woodstove with plenty of firewood and a firepit outside.DVD player with movies.
Lake George is only 40 minutes from Colorado Springs. Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Cave of the Winds are located there. We are 30 minutes from Cripple Creek..turn of the century gambling town. The Royal Gorge is an hour south.
  • Amazing property to get away from it all. Will be back!

    Sarah2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was exactly what you’d hope for!

    Madison2020-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is rustic and charming. Stephanie was an amazing host and responded quickly to our questions. We especially loved the great coffee, the huge stack of firewood and the heated mattress pad! Strongly recommend this Historic cabin and surrounding National Forest!

    Deborah2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing experience! This cabin gave you the feel of historic living while maintaining the more necessary/comfort amenities of modern life ( electricity or having to use an outhouse). That said, this is a historic cabin and does lack some of the less necessary comforts of a modern place. The bathroom has no door, just curtains (which really wasn't a turn off for us as it gave it a historic feeling experience). The cabin is drafty but there is a nice wood burning stove that will keep the place warm enough if you know how to use it and there is a heated mattress pad and warm, down or down alternative duvet to keep you warm throughout the night. As our dog doesn't sleep with us through the night, we did have to wake up occasionally to put another few logs on the fire in the middle of the night so she wouldn't be cold, but really it wasn't much inconvenience and added to the historic experience we were going for. I'm only saying this as it might not be the experience for everyone but we really appreciated all of it. I kept having to pinch myself at how cool the experience was. The wifi didn't have the greatest connection but really, are you there to look at your phone or your tablet? It was sufficient for posting some photos of our experience on Facebook or sending pictures via text message. Stephanie was there to greet us when we arrived and was removing her cleaning supplies which gave us a good indication the place was clean. Honestly, it looked clean as well. She was also great with responding via text when we had questions. There was Roku and subscriptions to a few services on the TV for entertaining ourselves at night when we got tired of the game we brought. There were pamphlets and books on what to do in the area. Our dog really appreciated the enclosed yard around the cabin. It was quite large and fun for her to explore. Thank you again Stephanie for a great stay!!!

  • We can’t say enough about the sweet little cabin at Idlewild Ridge Ranch! The spot was easily accessible and just off the highway but felt super secluded! This was the perfect rustic but very romantic cabin! My husband really enjoyed building fires in the wood stove and I enjoyed the claw foot tub! The bed couldn’t have been any comfier & we LOVED the heated mattress pad - it really kept us warm on very cold nights. I knew we may not get cell reception (AT&T) but the Wifi worked perfectly & we had no problems FaceTiming our kids back in NC. Stephanie was very prompt in communication and the keypad entry for check-in was very convenient. We loved exploring the property and found some beautiful gems along the way! My only complaint is that we didn’t get to stay longer!!

    Kimberly2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We planned the stay for our anniversary and it was great. We had cozy fires and great hiking nature experiences. We were able to take our dog with us and had a big fenced yard so it worked out pretty well.

    Carrie2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is an awesomely unique stay. The history of the place alone is cool but Stephanie has decorated this old cabin into an extraordinary experience. We loved having our own yard for our dog to run and play. The view of PikeNF was beautiful. We had the pleasure of meeting their horses and getting a hug from one of them. It was great that the cabin is located close to convenience store and the pizza was awesome there. Easy access to the highway but we never heard any road noise. This was our first Airbnb and everything was beyond expectations! The hosts are great people.

    Laura2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was very well decorated and comfortable. Dwayne greeted us as we arrived and informed us on some of the attractions in the area; including the best one of all, the back yard! We met Stephanie a bit later, and she was very sweet and helpful. Such an amazing place to relax, would definitely recommend!

The Lil Lincoln sits at an elevation of 9,560ft. and was originally built on the Western Slope of Colorado in the 50’s and was moved in 1965 to it’s current location near Woodland Park. The story behind the move was that a doctor moved his practice in 1959 to Woodland Park. He wanted his nurse to join him, she said she'd move if he moved her cabin. Well he did, and so did she.
This is a 435sqft, non-smoking, pet friendly, genuine mid century log cabin, with views of the North Slope of Pikes Peak. Located just 3 miles from Hwy 24, the perfect getaway.
The cabin is in the heart of the Pikes Peak Region with many activities close by so you can: • Visit Seven Falls, at night • Extreme Skiing on the Peak • Descend Pike Peak, on a bicycle • Stroll up the Manitou Springs Incline • Visit Cave of the Winds Terror-dactyl • See Garden of the Gods on horseback • Feed a Giraffe, at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo • Visit the Royal Gorge Bridge on a raft, zip-line or train • Descend 1,000ft into the earth at the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine • Or just go fishing on the Catamount Reservoir
  • Great place! Amazing views and kids loved the friendly deer.

    William2020-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved how they decorated the place and everything we needed was there from toiletries to kitchen supplies. And you cannot overstate how gorgeous it is up there! I mean, you literally get a view of Pike's Peak from your bed!

  • This is the cutest little cabin. We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect! The only negative thing I have about it was that there was no blinds to cover the windows. Other than that we had a great time!

  • HUGE PLACE! an easy escape to the mountains. On our way to the place we couldn’t close our jaws from how beautiful the route is. You are never far from adventure and when you’re done you can head to a place that was made for an escape. The beds are super comfortable. And an amazing touch by our host leaving us treats, toys and baggies for my Dog. Definitely booking a winter trip ASAP

    David2020-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Really great quiet spot. Kind of ducked off which I believe makes it better. The sun/yoga room makes you wanna get up and work out in the mornings. The washer and dryer being separate from the house helps with not waking the kids or making the dogs bark during late hours. Big windows allow for plenty of sunlight and views of wildlife in the backyard. Me and my family enjoyed every moment of the 2.5 weeks we stayed here. Will definitely be returning whenever we can!!

Mountain Paradise Cottage features a relaxing cottage-style decor that you will find relaxing, cozy and all together fun!
The Mountain Paradise Cottage is a fully restored 450 square foot caretaker's cottage built circa 1934. The cottage was built in support of The Maytag House that is also on the forested 2-acre property. Built in the cape-cod style by Freda Maytag, the daughter of the founder of the Maytag washing machine.
Woodland Park is a historic mountain town located at 8,500 feet above sea level. The cottage is located just a short 5 minute walk to main street where you will find restaurants, bars, and shopping. Walk to the famous dinosaur museum or to the Hungry Bear for a delicious breakfast!
  • The cottage was great, and the location is quiet and spacious.

  • This is a lovely little cottage in a great location. It was blissfully quiet and on a beautiful treed lot. I enjoyed staying in a little part of Woodland Park history!

  • John and Rosemary have such a gem of a place! Very functional space, every nook and cranny has a purpose. Perfectly comfortable for two people. Living area is open and pleasant, even has adjustable dividers that cut the space off entirely and becomes its own room. Bathroom is spacious and was stocked with plenty of towels / washcloths/ toilet paper. Big shower + mirror Kitchen was stocked with pots / plates / cups / etc. a big toaster oven instead of an oven that preformed well (we were able to cook steak in it). I needed cooking oil for my eggs and within minutes of asking, John was knocking on the door bringing more than enough oil for the week! Such great hospitality! Overall the place was well stocked, comfortable and super cute / aesthetic. Definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back.

    Sierra2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, cozy cottage. Had every amenity you would need for a very comfortable stay, including some pretty tasty coffee. Short walking distant to town. Great restaurants and a brewery only 5 min walk away. It’s very close to tons of beautiful hiking areas and other outdoor activities. Met John, who was extremely nice, helpful, and welcoming. Overall I had a wonderful time and would recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely be back!

    Stephen2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay! It was very clean, cozy stay with great amenities and great location. I would also say that I don't think that the pictures posted on AirBnB don't do the place justice, it is a great find! However, if planning to do a lot of cooking, I will add that the kitchen is a little tight, but you can get it done! It was extremely easy to check in/out. John and Rosemary replied to questions extremely quickly.

  • Pictures really dont do this cabin justice. The cabin was incredibly clean and had everything you could possibly need for an extended get away. Adam was quick to respond at any hour of the day, and helped us immediately when our tire had a blow out. He goes above and beyond for his guests and definitely deserves the title of super host! Our week in Colorado was incredible and when we come back we'll definitely be staying with him again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Nick2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Adam’s cabin was an amazing experience. The space was clean and cozy, and it was the perfect location for us to relax. The yard was great for our dog and we got in some good bird watching while walking around outside! Thank you so much!

    Heidi2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • Adam was an awesome host and proactively kept us updated about the weather while we were there. The house was cozy and the yard was great for the dogs. It was a perfectly little getaway that felt secluded but was still close to everything.

  • The house is very nice and very clean. Our host Adam was super nice and communicated very well. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this cabin to anyone. It is a remote cabin but has all the amenities you would like to have. Thanks again Adam for being such a great host!!!!!

  • We had such a great time at the cabin! I made the mistake of now downloading the directions because I didn’t think about losing service. Adam was wonderful and helped give us turn by turn directions! The cabin is a remote gem with beautiful views to get away from it all! I hope to come back in the spring.

    Kenzie2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time at Adams place and just like the first trip we had an amazing time. I highly recommend visiting here and will be back again in the future. Its secluded with a beautiful view. Great get away from the city life.

  • This tiny house really didn’t feel like a tiny house. There was always more than enough space and felt just right, and super cozy. The washer, dryer, kitchen utensils, and Netflix really helped us take full advantage of staying inside due to virus concerns (and a pretty big snowstorm). Cute little neighborhood in a nice town. We couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Rock Rest Eco-Cabin was custom built by the owners in 2018. Dedicated to grandparents Ralph & Helen Trout who taught us to love and respect the mountains & nature that resides there. The goal was to create an original structure that combines modern lines with rustic textures, and has minimal impact on the environment. A crane was used to hoist the beams over the trees to disturb the site as little as possible. Rock Rest is a living art piece. We are excited to share it with you!
The cabin utilizes reclaimed and locally sources material, plus cutting edge building technology to provide an experience that is convenient and comfortable. The cabin features above code insulation, high efficiency windows, modern building wrap, reclaimed 100 year old wood siding and locally sources beams. We have a state of the art waste water treatment system that feeds the trees. And a tankless hot water heater. Inside and outside lighting is low watt. Future projects are a solar system for the roof and a new water well. We will soon be completely off grid!!! The kitchen is totally modern and fully stocked with everything you need to cook a wonderful meal for up to six guests. Custom concrete counter tops inlaid with polished stones and fossils compliment the stainless steel appliances, open shelving and oak stained cupboards. The bedroom stays extra warm with a six foot baseboard heater installed permanently behind the queen bed. A second twin XL daybed is suspended, accessed by ladder, directly below a long horizontal window overlooking the valley. Plenty of fun and fluffy linens guarantee a cozy stay on the coldest of winter nights. The bathroom is a perfectly clean and efficient space. The powder room has an oak vanity and mirror with a modern sink and lighting. The shower has a custom stainless steel surround with a polished river rock mosaic pan. The baseboard heater in the lav and our tankless hot water heater guarantees you can always enjoy a hot shower. Our cozy living room has a wood burning stove, 40” Smart TV with Netflix, Bluetooth sound bar, HD DVD player, industrial and rustic furniture. There is a very comfy custom build twin XL daybed as well. The HUGE sliding glass door addresses the front porch with a twin XL swing and the beautiful forest surrounding it.
The property is a mile down the road from The Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is also nearby. There are 14 miles of local hiking trails and Eleven Mile Lake is a great place to fish and boat.

  • We had a great time. The house was beautiful, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the setting was beautiful. Susan and Butch went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. They are very friendly and hospitable. We look forward to staying with them in the future!

    Evan2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nestled in snowy trees, Butch and Susan's home is lovely, peaceful and absolutely spotless. There are fluffy white towels, a comfy bed and amenities such as snacks, water bottles and toiletries. The attention to detail and warmth Butch and Susan show their guests make it evident that hosting is truly a labor of love for them!

    Ray2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a amazingly comfortable stay with Susan and Butch! All we needed was a bed to sleep in since we were celebrating Christmas with family near by. Felt bad about having to rush out with no time to eat the cinnamon rolls that Butch had prepared! Just sorry we didn’t get to stay longer to hang out and chat with these gracious hosts! Beautiful house with an amazing view! You’d be dumb not to stay with them!

    Kristopher2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • When we got there...Susan greeted us with, "Welcome home!" We've been here several times, it feels like home away from home, and we'll continue to come back.

    Rachel2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Love coming here, when we travel. Very clean and comfortable. Hosts enjoy taking care of us...if we need anything.

  • Visited this amazing place for my birthday with my husband and we loved it so much we just had to extend our stay. 3 days really isn’t enough! The host, Erik, is very responsive and so thoughtful as he even left me a gift for my birthday! The kitchen, which we spent lots of time in, is fully stocked with plenty of cook ware, seasonings, and spices. The view from the deck is so incredible and there are many things to do nearby. Overall the house quickly begins to feels like home and you will never want to leave!

    Alexis2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Erik's place had so much room and was so clean. You can tell he takes pride in the place. It's in a very quiet neighborhood where you feel completely alone, with a beautiful deck. We spent nights and days enjoying the view. Great communication, excellent host.

  • Great place!

    christopher2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Erik was a great host: very communicative and attentive. This is a beautiful, comfortable home with amazing views of the mountains, friendly neighbors (not too close to the house), close to town, hikes, and only 1.5 hours from Denver. My husband, pooch and I didn’t leave except to walk around the neighborhood. We lived on their beautiful deck and on their amazing couch. We love to cook and found everything we needed in their fully stocked kitchen. It was the perfect get away to relax, rejuvenate and be in a peaceful place. I wish the place had been available for a longer stay; 3 nights were not enough. Thank You, Erik. We can’t wait to go back!

    Joanna2020-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • This house is incredible. Impeccably clean, comfortably furnished, remote enough to feel isolated in the mountains but still just an easy drive to Woodland Park, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, and Mueller State Park. There are lots of thoughtful touches, plenty of cooking equipment in the kitchen, and even filtered water! Erik is responsive, friendly, and a very welcoming host. Would DEFINITELY recommend, and will DEFINITELY be back!

    Brendan2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home with great amenities! Erik was an awesome communicator and host. We saw over 50 deer while we were there! We definitely plan on returning.
