What an amazing location! Cozy, quaint and exactly as described! The kitchen is stocked with anything you would need to make your own meals and the bathroom has everything you would need incase you forgot anything. Super quick with responding to questions and they give you tips on local restaurants, pubs grocery stores etc. Our only regret is having stayed only one night.

Lovely and private space, very comfortable. We walked down to the beach and would recommend that everyone make some time to do the same.

Kim's suite was perfectly located close to our family. The suite is clean and new, with all the amenities one could want. We loved having the space to relax in between family Christmas events!

We loved our stay in Yvonne's tiny home which is on a wooded property that is secluded from the road and others. The tiny home is 10meters or so from the main house. It is well built and designed with handsome and thoughtful details everywhere such as live edge shelving and a sliding/barn door to the bathroom. It did not feel cramped at all for two. We enjoyed the sound of the rain on the two skylights and felt very comfortable there. The toilet, while unusual, is not difficult to use once you read the instructions. Everything was clean, check in was easy and there are instructions prior to your stay to walk you through any questions you might have about the place. It was very warm just with the plug in oil heater in early January. No need to use the propane heater if it makes you nervous! Thanks for the stay

This is a stylish tiny home that feels more spacious than expected, given its tiny dimensions, thanks to its high ceiling and loft bed area. Very good layout, with a great kitchen and a very comfortable bathroom. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Some mindfulness is necessary when reading (and following) instructions for the waterless toilet and the propane heater. However, as long as you are a considerate guest (or two), this place will be a delightful island getaway.

Cat’s place was fantastic and located in a beautiful, somewhat isolated area. Gives you the feel of being in the middle of nature but having close access to all amenities. A large, stylish, comfortable suite with lovely ocean view. Very pleasant stay.

Nice and clean, with a little view of the water. The small kitchenette is handy. Quiet neighbors, at least when I was there, which made for a restful stay. If you're looking for an exotic place to hang out, this might not be it, but looking for a quiet place to spend the night, then this is great.

Tammy's place is comfortable and convenient. It was slightly cramped with two adults and an infant in a crib, but still worked well. Lots to see in the area.

Our stay at the resort was really nice. Very quiet, a good place to unwind and get away from it all. The room was cozy and clean. It rained for 98% of our time here so we didn't get to enjoy as much of the area as we could have, but still made the best of it using Tammy's great suggestions. Tammy responded to our messages right away, and was very helpful. Great place for a little getaway for any couple.

This unit was a fantastic home base for the weekend. The resort is beautiful and the unit was immaculate, stylish, cozy and comfortable, with an incredible view. As I've stayed at some of Pat's other properties over the years, I knew that it would be a beautiful, well-kept space, and that communication with Pat would be easy, quick, and clear. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone interested in a relaxing getaway in a peaceful setting.

The Inn off the Seas is a quiet Vacation Home Complex wich offers you everything you need. they even have a Swimmingpool there. Its very relaxing waking up and hear the waves and watch the ocean. So a great spot to stay.

Beautiful place, so calm and relaxing. The pool over looking the ocean was such a treat. Waking up to the sounds of the waves outside was the best for me! Would highly recommend. I will be returning for sure!

Small hotel-room sized unit but comfortable with a lovely view of the water. Very pleasant location, especially if the weather is good and you can enjoy the outdoors.

The private deck is overlooking the ocean, we had coffee and drinks both days watching the beach. There is a private dock and a pool and hot tub that were ours to use. It was so private and quiet. We wanted to stay longer. The suite was very clean and had the best view of the entire resort. We would definitely come back to stay :)

Lynn’s place was a lovely retreat. The countryside was beautiful and quiet. Close to many trails for hiking. Lynn’s home was very clean and the beds very comfy! We’d love to stay here again if we are ever back to this area.

Great place to stay in. Full place to yourself, separate area on the property, parking on site near door, lots of room, warm, fully equipped, wifi, internet, TV, quiet, even had Xmas lights up. One could stay here for long periods easily if needed. Near Hemer Park and in lovely rural area. Looking forward to booking again in future when the need arises to come back home again. Thank you

I can't really say anything negative about the stay here. It was nice and quiet with a lovely space to ourselves. It was great dealing with Lynn and Wolfgang and we would love to come back in the future if we needed a place to stay.

Wonderful stay. Lynn made booking at Holden Lake Ranch easy with her quick response. She was available immediately upon our arrival and accommodations were clean, quiet and much larger than expected. The beds are comfortable and there was ample hot water for showers. There are roads perfect for early morning walks and there is a large deck for early morning coffee or late night star gazing. We will be back to Holden Lake Ranch on our next visit to this beautiful island.

Highly recommend!

The Guesthouse is very close to a couple of local restaurants and bars which was very convenient. There was also a large yard for our puppy Millie to roam around. A nice touch was that there were dog towels provided, so we could dry Millie off. Wanda also provided us with some homemade cookies, which were delicious. The space was nicely decorated for Christmas and the holidays. We would stay here again!

This is a hidden gem! Beautiful cottage, amazing scenery, close to town, fantastic host! Will certainly book again on our next visit to Nanaimo!

This place is a gem! Very peaceful and private setting. We enjoyed eating on the deck and watching the horses. So many special little touches in the cottage. Comfy robes and shampoo/soap in bathroom, coffee pods for the Keurig (there is a drip coffee maker too), the furnishings are very tasteful. Queen size bed is very comfortable with lots of pillows! We stayed in the middle of summer, but even though it was hot outside, the cottage was a very comfortable temperature for sleeping overnight.

Wanda’s place is great. Tidy, private and comfortable. The horse affable, and partial to carrots. Wanda herself was friendly and considerate. We had a great time and will certainly be back.

I highly recommend Wanda’s Airbnb. She was a wonderful host, and the place itself was beyond my expectations. It was beautifully decorated, had every amenity we needed, and the kitchen had all the cookware we needed. It was especially nice to sit on the porch and see her horses. The entire experience was a delight!

We enjoyed our stay in Mudge! It was quick to get over to Mudge from Gabriola thanks to the water taxi that Maryann helped us organize. Tom the water taxi driver was on time and provided some excellent local tips. Maryann was great to communicate with prior to our trip. The cottage was just as described. Cozy living room with a wood stove made for a perfectly relaxing place to watch the sea and the sunrise. A great stay for 5 guests and we all had our own beds. Highly recommend!

Maryann and Randy’s place is wonderful. A super relaxing retreat. Beautiful views with whales, frogs, and hummingbirds. We ate oysters on the beach and swam every day. The kayaks are great fun and exploring the island is wonderful. Highly recommended!

This is SUCH a cute spot. We loved the somewhat off the grid feel of this Mudge Island cottage and really appreciated all the care Maryann took in ensuring we were well prepared when we went out there. If you're from a big city and use to going places that are essentially cottages with regular city services, be aware that this is a more rustic experience, but in the best ways! I'd suggest touching base with the host to ensure you understand what getting on and off Mudge will entail so there's no surprises as you finalize your trip. But the cottage is sweet, the island is gloriously quiet and relaxed, the oysters/clams/crabs/mussels really are there for you to capture and slurp and the scenery is drop dead gorgeous. Everyone should see this part of Canada. The kitchen was especially awesome - it was equipped with just about everything we needed and all the little extras - kayaks, crab traps, bbq, awesome decks, hammock - made this such a special trip for our family. Definitely go!

Had an amazing time at this lovely beach home! Maryann was quick to respond to any questions and made sure we were comfortable getting to her home. We spent our days beach combing and enjoying the deck. This place is very secluded and there are no restaurants or pubs, but we planned out our meals for the week and had no issues. So happy we went!

It was quite a fun experience staying at the Zen Tent. The tent is based in a fenced camping park with other tents surrounded by, which I felt comfortable and safe during my stay. The on-site manager Eva was super helpful and friendly, I appreciate her hospitality.

The tents are very cozy and stylish! It's a great, relaxing getaway for the weekend when you don't want to have to pack everything yourself for camping. The on site host Eva was very helpful showing us around, quick to reply and made herself readily available if we needed her. Thanks for having us!

What a wonderful surprise! I wanted to show my boyfriend what beautiful BC has to offer so we flew from the Cayman Islands where we currently live. Being from Vancouver originally I wanted a fun and different experience that involved the outdoors. Would recommend!

Very friendly host and a good night sleep

Staying in the Zen tent was a lovely experience! We were very delayed due to ferries being full so we didn’t arrive until quite late. Eva was wonderful to stay up late and give us the grand tour, making us feel so welcome after a gruelling day of travel! Our communication with Jenna was easy, friendly and prompt. We stayed here as a one-night stopover en route to Tofino to celebrate our anniversary, which happened to be the night we stayed here (everywhere in Tofino was booked up on the actual anniversary date!). Upon arrival at our Zen tent, there was champagne on ice waiting for us, pretty candles and a lovely card. What thoughtful touches! We had a very peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of nature. I’ve never been a huge fan of camping, but sign me up for “glamping” any day!

What a little piece of paradise you’ve got here!! The pleasure of camping, with the comforts of home & the ease of everything being set up already... what’s better than that! Plus the bed was PERFECT! Overall, very pleased with our first stay at an Airbnb! The host was fantastic & very willing to help with anything else we may require. I cannot say enough about how much I would recommend the Zen Tent.

Beautiful views and a perfect, quiet getaway with all of the little touches to make your stay feel at home.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and find a calm serene and friendly location just to gather yourself this is where you want to be. From souvenir shopping in the nearby town of Ladysmith or strolling along the beach you will meet many friendly people and maybe even invited to a small bonfire with some of the locals. It's a place I hope to return to!

Had an enjoyable time

One of the nicest places to stay on the island! The condo is beautiful and spacious, and very well maintained! Bedrooms are spacious and bedding is excellent! The pool and hottub is only for use in the daytime, which is a bit bothersome! Its very quite out there and sound travels far, so at night your neighbours could be bothersome! During our stay, we had unpleasant and rude neighbours who did spoil our time there the last night! On a good note, its a nice spot, with very good amenities and a nice english pub close by!

Although the suite is not right on the water it does have a partial water view. The place is as pictured, clean and well supplied with easy parking. Self check in and out is fast and convenient.

Lovely accommodation in a quiet setting. Very clean and well equipped. My favourite part was waking up to those beautiful sunrises over the water.

This condo was absolutely amazing for our stay in Ladysmith! We stayed with my parents (six people in total) the set up would be perfect for pretty much any combination of guests!! We made the couch into a bed for our girl and pull out was perfect for our boy! The dock and ‘beach’ / rocks were amazing for adventures!!! Very close to amenities and town, we loved to buy farm fresh eggs just down the road! The beds were comfy (wouldn’t recommend the pull out couch for adults though), house was spotless and had everything we could have ever needed! Play ground for the kids and pool/ hot tub were great for the rainy days! We will most certainly my being staying here again!

Denise is a great host, very friendly and accommodating! The suite is beautiful and cozy, and we would highly recommend!

Despite the windy and rainy weather, our visit was enjoyable. We managed to sneak in a happy-hour hot tub on the second day, and during the rest of our visit, we enjoyed the cozy room and its amenities. The Crow & Gate pub down the road was awesome (we did lunch there). I walked the area by the sea and down the road a-ways, and really enjoyed that. We were able to make snacks in our room and sit on the bed with a view of the water and waves (balcony is too small to sit, and the weather did not allow; however, if you open the patio doors in fair weather you can feel and smell the salt air). We enjoyed the communication with Denise, and the hospitality and personal touches. This place is small, like a room in Île Saint-Louis, Paris, but it's clean and cozy. You have to climb stairs, but there is a nice patio and room to sit and enjoy the surrounding forest (blankets are provided).

We were upgraded to a different unit, the larger unit above the advertised unit. Wonderful location, great hosts and an even greater space! Beautiful views, modern furniture and appliances and of course the great pool and hot tub made for a great stay. Would definitely recommend to family and friends!

If you are looking for a delightful, quiet getaway, then this is definitely the spot. It is tucked away from town and everyone, but close enough to all the amenities the island offers. We loved this bright and open house in the middle of the forest , with trails literally off the backyard! Our dog loved the fenced backyard. The kitchen is super well stocked with every utensil you’ll need, and stuffed with spices, tea, and other basic kitcheny things. We loved having a fire place to gather around, it made it super cozy. The beds were comfy, the master suite upstairs is bedroom goals!! We never got around to using the jacuzzi as we were out hiking but it looks gorgeous and we hope to try it again next time. It sleeps 6 in 3 private rooms but there are additional mattresses for larger groups when privacy is less of a concern! We 100% recommend!

Truly a beautiful place to get away! We had a beautiful Friends-mas here, swooning by the woodstove and marveling at the forest around us. The space is stocked up with everything you'd need for a lovely getaway. Already thinking about the next time we can come back!

We had a fabulous time at this ‘home in the woods’. The home was very well outfitted for the 6 of us adults + 1 infant. It was the perfect setting for our crafting retreat. Such a cozy spot for a getaway! This dog friendly spot is great for groups with dogs, we had a lovely time walking the trails. The indoor fire was a lovely addition, and the master bedroom/bathroom is incredible. Lots of kitchen supplies (spices, oils, teas, pots and pans!).

Place is great! Lovely property on a lovely island. Place is close to walking trails and the house is cozy for those rainy days. Loved the game we found in the table!

Dede’s home is a fantastic place that is very accommodating to all your needs. Their 10 acres are great grounds to walk in the woods to explore nature and enjoy the beautiful night sky. If you need to stay connected it is only a few minute drive to find a network to access the net or cell phone connections. Also lots of games and activities to help enjoy your stay.

We had young children with us and they loved the spacious yard (tire swing was a hit!) and we loved to simplicity of the home. The place has a wonderful deck that looks out over a huge gassy area with apple trees and beautiful pond. It was perfect for our spring break vacation.

This was our second time staying in this lovely space. The home works beautifully for our large family. Each family had its own room, and there was enough space to accommodate us all hanging out together. The grounds kept everyone entertained with exploring, and the fire pit was a big hit.

No complaints. Very reasonable and accommodating. We had a lot of fun visiting family and it was great to take in our environment instead of our phones! Great place if you want to escape technology and enjoy time with friends and family!

We really enjoyed our week-long getaway! We have two young kids and we were accommodated with a high chair and play pen which was nice. The place was spacious, clean, and stylish. There is an awesome pool we swam in every day (heated & outdoors) with an ocean view. There was also a playground nearby and access to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 4 nights and it didn't feel like enough. The space was perfect, beds were comfy, location was amazing. Swimming in the pool, walks on the beach...what's not to love. I would definitely recommend this place and I'd love to stay there again in the near future!

Scott’s place was just what we needed for our family of 5 during this crazy time . We felt a million miles away from the world’s problems. We went on beautiful hikes , played tennis and even saw a sea otter down on the beach . Self check in was a breeze and Scott was always there to answer any questions before and during the trip . We would love to come back . More than enough room for us all.

We stayed at Scott’s place for six weeks and it felt just like home. We spent many mornings relaxing in the hot tub overlooking the ocean and enjoying the quiet surroundings. Scott was very helpful and quick to respond to any messages that I sent him. We would definitely come back and stay again sometime!

Great place to stay in Ladysmith!

This place was very quiet. It may have been the time of year. Seemed there really was very few places that had people there. The view is fantastic! Right on the water. Owners were doing some gardening on the grounds. Very friendly! The locale is off the beaten path, which we were just fine with. Nicely furnished. Comfortable and spacious. Enjoyed our stay. Would stay again!!

Beautiful tent and area!! I loved it!

We had an amazing stay here! Everything you could possibly need for camping, including a camp stove, firewood, kitchen gear, and water jug was available to us. The tent itself is beautiful and clean and with so much attention to detail. Most everything is solar powered, which we thought was a nice touch. Our host was incredibly friendly and accommodating. She encouraged us to contact her even at 2 in the morning if we needed anything! So much fun.

Eva is the local host who is really responsive via text and calls. Really thoughtful to tell us what to bring because we were worried if it’s gonna get super cold overnight in the tent for our 5 months old baby. At the end, it’s not cold at all. Really comfortable weather and really nice experience to have my baby’s first ever sleep outside overnight and a glamping

This is a very nice “camping” for non camping people. Nice, very clean location and besides being in a tent there is nothing that seperates the tent from a comfortable hotel room. Nice bed’s, clean towels and actually super nice inside. Outside a fire pit, cooking facilities, picknick table and an extra tent for shade. Warm shower on the camping ground... what more does one need? We really liked staying here even while my wife does not like camping. She ended up saying “like this I am willing to camp more often”.

AMAZING! One of our favourite Air Bnb's we've ever stayed in!! Tent was beautiful. The escape to nature was much needed. Hosts were welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. Would recommend to all. We will be back!! THANK YOU!

Carol and Dennis we're outstanding hosts!! Dennis was there to greet my mom and sister on arrival and as we were all running late for a wedding Dennis kindly offered to take us to the resort on his boat....I mean you really can't get more amazing then that!!! Carol was absolutely lovely to plan with and when I mentioned my sister was a vegan she went out of her way to have vegan food on hand and cooked her vegan meals during her stay....again this is over and above and so thoughtful and appreciated! I work in hospitality and these two and true gems and really go out of their way to provide a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It is a true B&B for those who enjoy will have a truly amazing stay. :) The location is also BEAUTIFUL! I would recommend to anyone heading to Silva Bay.

It was wonderful to meet Carol and Dennis on this trip. They have a beautiful house; clean, quiet, comfortable with a spectacular view. Carol and Dennis are great hosts and made our stay extremely enjoyable. We had a great time in Gabriola and would love to go back!

Carol's place offers a warm welcome, and allows guests to feel at home. The hosts are caring and thoughtful. It was a good vacation get away.

Beautiful and comfortable tent, everything you could think of was included. We loved watching the wildlife (horses, deer, rabbits) until the sun set.

Great way to camp if you don't have the equipment!!

This is definitely glamping at it's finest. Everything you need for a true camping experience with all the amenities included. Was wonderful relaxing atmosphere. Eva was responsive to any need we had and quick for check-in even though we booked late. Overall would recommend for anyone that enjoys nature.

This is a fabulous little glamping experience. For those who want to camp but not have to bring all the camping gear. Everything was provided for a fun camping experience and more. Towels, cutlery, pots, pans, cooking stove, water bucket, cute little shower, and lamps were provided so you really only have to bring yourself! We saw horses, deer, an owl, birds of prey, rabbits and heard some bull frogs so it was a nice little getaway that is really close to Nanaimo. A note that you still get a bit of the city sounds and noise from the local pub on the weekend.

I was wondering how this trip was going to go, I've been rough camping when I was younger and it's always been a lot of work. This Glamping experience I would totally recommend to anyone who loves camping but doesn't like sleeping on the ground and bring the whole kitchen sink with you. Our host was the Kindest person and very accommodating to picking my friend and I up at the ferry to taking us to local stores to get food and drinks. With this experience it was so relaxed and care free all you need is clothes in your pack and your dog and that's it, no cooking gear, towels, no dishes or even food since the store or cafe is only 20 min walk away. Or a two and a half hour walk through the Beautiful provincial park if you don't get lost. LoL I definitely think I will do this again knowing I need less to pack and knowing I'm in a safe and relaxed atmosphere. Thanks again for everything and I'm looking forward to visiting again 😁

This place is really top-shelf - feels like a home, with a great kitchen and amazing view - and even a guitar to play while you're there. Iris was great and everything was exactly as stated in the ad. We will be back!

This is a very pleasant sea side get away. The sun rising over the ocean is wonderful. The stars in the night are very clear. The space is private. spacious and quite comfortable. It is an excellent layout with everything one could require.

Beautiful ocean views, peaceful quiet getaway with a very well stocked kitchen. Fabulous walking trails, oceanside parks, fresh fruit and veggie stands, pubs, grocery store and general store had soft serve ice cream for the kids!

Iris’s place is absolutely amazing! It was beyond our expectations and the view was breathtaking. The condo has everything that we could’ve possible required! We will definitely be back! Iris was amazing with directions, contact and sharing information about the condo.

I had the pleasure of staying at Iris' for over a month. Location is incredible, views cannot be beat and the amenities are fantastic. Ocean side hot tub and pool with a fire pit right on the beach.

The location, view, cozy room, and ocean front hot tub make this place a worthwhile spot. It’s a small room, but it works, and was perfectly clean and had a very new feeling! Iris was very helpful. The sunsets from the hot tub were amazing. The only downside is that you can’t use the hot tub after dark. Otherwise it’s fantastic!

Amazing accommodations

My daughter and I just returned from a wonderful stay. Beautiful view, right on the water. Perfect for 2 people. Nice pool and hot tub, fire pit, boat dock, and Iris had everything needed to make for a great stay. It was wonderful to watch the sun rise over the ocean, the seals playing in the water right off the waters edge, and to end our night in the hot tub. Thanks Iris!

We loved staying here! It was a very, clean, quiet and quaint location. The Inn has great facilities, we used the hot tub, BBQ, outdoor fire pit and tennis court. It's a perfect little getaway oasis. The water front view was amazing with beautiful sun sets and sun rises every morning. If we were to go back we would definitely bring a kayack.

This condo is in a wonderful area close to the city of Ladysmith near Nanaimo. It is very peaceful there snd you have good possibilities to check out Vancouver Island from this spot.

A real hidden gem! A perfect place for our last minute get-away. We will definitely be back.

The suite is right on the waters edge with an amazing view. The panoramic poolside view is even more of a treat! Everyone I met at the condo were friendly and gave great advice on local spots to see and dine at. This little suite is very accommodating with the essentials for a getaway. I absolutely loved it and will definitely return for another trip! Iris is a very lovely hostess :)

Nice place to stay, we had a good time

We had a wonderful vacation in Pat's unit at Inn of the Sea. The condo is very well appointed and clean. The property is simply beautiful. The pool was perfect for the kids and the deck and view was perfect for the adults! We can't wait to come back!

Pat's place is a 2 bedroom condo in a small complex located right on the water. The view was absolutely gorgeous. There is lots for kids to do in what is a relatively secluded area -- tennis courts, badminton, a rope version of horseshoes, swimming pool, hot tub, a dock and more. Lots of people brought boats, fishing rods, crab pots, etc. Despite a good number of children and dogs, everyone was incredibly respectful of one another and the place is overall very quiet. Most of the noise takes place in the pool area. There are plenty of grills and tables/chairs set all around the property for grilling, outside picnics, and hanging out for an afternoon or evening of drinks with friends. They are on a first-come, first-served basis, which seemed to work just fine. The property is amazingly clean and well maintained by this incredible woman named June. The condo itself was clean and comfortable. Paid laundry is on-site, which was nice, especially since we stayed for a month. There is lots to explore nearby and groceries and other shopping is only 10-15 minutes away. Overall we had a GREAT stay and plan to be back next year.

The condo and location was better than the pictures. Our family enjoyed the outdoor pool and hot tub overlooking the ocean and walking along the beach. Pat kept in contact with us before and during our stay. Highly recommended.
