Places to stay in Columbiaville
We have a beautiful, smoke free home on a serene, private, all sports lake surrounded by woods creating a private haven from life's busy worries. We have a private room with a twin over full bunk bed so that 1-4 people can come enjoy a peaceful stay on the lake. Come stay for a while and enjoy a fantastic view, fun & relaxation. We are approximately 10-30 minutes away from Frankenmuth, Birch Run, Flint, General Motors, Dog Agility Trials, 3 Hospitals, etc.
You will have a clean, comfortable, private bedroom with space for 1-4 people to sleep. You will share the bathroom and main living spaces with our family. You can enjoy the great outdoors during all seasons. It’s a beautiful, peaceful location during the summer with all the fun of lake play. In the fall, we have colorful foliage and brisk, fresh air as you gaze upon or play on the lake. Spring is a great time to watch life restart and get out there for some paddling around in kayaks. And last, but not least, is the winter wonderland to build snowmen, forts and snow angels and a frozen lake for ice fishing. We also have a nice hill for sledding for the little ones. Then come back in for hot coco by the fire. We also have a fire pit area for bonfires all year round. So bring some wood, your hot dogs, marshmallows and sticks, and enjoy dinner and dessert by the lake.
We live in a quiet lake community. Even though its an all sports lake, it is a private lake, and so its usually very quiet and peaceful. The most activity I've seen on the lake at a time is 2 boats and 2 jet skis. :) Most of the time its just quiet with an occasional pontoon boat going by. We go for walks in the neighborhood all the time. It's a nice, quiet neighborhood with friendly people.
  • Amazing hosts, friendly and generous. You won’t be disappointed. I will be back again.

  • Lisa's place is great! A welcoming and peaceful environment. Just close enough to shopping and conveniences, but not too close. Just right for country folks!

  • Very nice hosts and a clean and comfortable place to stay during my trip to the area.

  • As always, we had a wonderful stay in the Yellow Room while we were in town for a dog agility trial. Lisa and family are always so hospitable and welcoming. First time doing a private bedroom only, and found it to be more comfortable than I was expecting. Looking forward to our next visit!

Located in the center of the historic Mott Park Neighborhood is the iconic home designed by Norbert Dougherty, who was hired by General Motors to develop the neighborhood, for his family to live in. The original 1926 loft above the garage is available for you!
This is a historic home in the center of an iconic neighborhood, bordered by a park with tennis courts on one side and the Mott Park Recreation Area on the other. The former golf course is now a disc golf course but is also available for walking, running, or relaxing by the river.
Our neighborhood has a great history (there is a history book about it in the loft), and hopefully a great future too. I think you will enjoy the quiet, the wildlife, and the friendly neighbors. We love Mott Park and enjoy living here, but to be clear this is an urban neighborhood in the city of Flint. There are some abandoned houses and sometimes petty crime. Our guests have never had any issues, and you should be fine too by taking basic precautions like not leaving valuables in your car and keeping the door locked.
  • We found Chad’s place to be cute and relaxing. He communicates well. We’ll be staying again.

    Adam2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Chad was very quick to communicate and was able to accommodate us on a rather short notice! The apartment had various thoughtful touches throughout. A cozy space we enjoyed staying at for the night we were in the city.

    Matilda2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A great location, quiet yet accessible - a nice, clean, warm space. Private. Such a great value as well. And Chad was so great about reaching out to make check-in a breeze. We'll definitely try to stay here again when we return to the Flint area!

    Bill2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Not large but big enough.

    Marty2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a little gem in the midst of Flint. I came here with my dog for a one night getaway and it was absolutely perfect. The space is small but beautiful and perfect for one person. I had lots of privacy and everything I needed. There was a large park right across the street that was perfect for my dog. Chad was kind and immediately responsive. I'd definitely stay here again.

    Jonah2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mott Park Carriage House, where it seems every thought has been given towards hospitality and meeting the guest's needs. The place is lovely in its simplicity - clean, comfortable, warm, even the water is just the right temp and pressure. One feels totally at home and cared for in this space, making it perfect for a weekend getaway or even a solo spiritual retreat. It's in a historic neighborhood on a beautiful street. Having grown up near there, I had an opportunity to see this place years ago, before Chad and his family purchased the home, and the love and hard work he has poured into it has given the Carriage House a truly astonishing transformation. It is a true gift to the Airbnb community.

  • This garage apartment is exactly as described. Communication with the owner was quick and I had no issues at all. We were visiting Kettering and this was a super convenient place to stay!

  • Chelsey was such a great host. I had to cancel for one of the nights I had booked and I was having complications. Chelsey responded quickly and helped me get my full refund. Her home is also very nice and I would love to visit again. As someone new to Airbnb, Chelsey made this a great experience for me.

    Alizabeth2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • The view when you wake up early in the morning and see the sun shimmering over the lake is wonderful. This is an ideal summer/spring home if you wish to kayak and explore the area. The house was clean and the dog cage in the home was a great addition. Be advised it is off a dirt road but the road is well kept. I would stay here again if I am in the area!

    Jacob2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best time staying here. The location worked perfectly for us, as we were headed to Bay City one day and Sand Point preserve the next. Each was only an hours drive and the drive was beautiful. We saw over 100 deer on M46 our return to Chelseys place last night. We can’t wait to stay again when we return to Michigan.

    Jen2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing! It’s so cozy and comfortable! Easy directions and quick responses! Great for a winter getaway, but I could see getting away during the summer months to be on the lake! Lots of basic cooking stuff provided like pans and spices, I was excited to see coffee when I woke up this morning! Most comfy mattress I’ve had on Air BnB! I don’t know what else to say! Amazing! Thank You Chelsey!

    Ashley2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay and has the most comfortable mattress and pillows! Very cute, nice touches and beautiful Lakeview. We've stayed here twice.

  • Avionda's place is very cozy and perfect for relaxing. The thoughtful touches of leaving out breakfast each morning and the amenities in the bedroom and bathroom were great. If you love animals, this is the place for you!

  • Great stay--Sgae was super accommodating when my flight was delayed and my check in times got all screw-y and late. He was amazing at communicating and I really appreciated him as a host. Didn't see much of him or other roommates while I was there--it was a great, low-key place to stay in Flint, definitely recommend!

Each bedroom has a fireplace for warmth and ambiance. The kitchen is very well equipped to meet your needs conveniently with all new appliances. You have full size washer and dryer for your laundry needs.
You can go for a nice walk along the quiet roads and catch glimpses of the lake between the homes. The foliage can be beautiful as well. And be sure to catch the sunsets over the lake. It all combines to create some great memories of your stay here.
  • Nice place. Very involved Host.

  • My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Lisa's place for just under two weeks while a restoration company was repairing smoke damage in our home. Before arriving at Lisa's we spent ten miserable days in a hotel. Lisa's place was a home away from home. Lisa has thought of everything. She has labels throughout the space making finding things and remembering where they go easy. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the kitchen is beautiful and nothing beats the view and sounds of the lake every morning. If you are looking for a long term stay or just a weekend away, Lisa's place is a 10/10!

You can tell she really cares about making her guests stay the best it can be. The apartment is very clean and cozy with an awesome view right out to the lake. We will definitely stay here again if we ever need a place in the area.

  • Chris's Airbnb is an excellent place to stay. Centrally located near the heart of Flint, it is close to historic downtown with restaurants, universities and colleges, parks, and a hospital nearby. Chris keeps his place immaculate and always guest-ready. His place came highly recommended by a friend who stayed there on a visit, and so I also stayed there when the opportunity arose, and was glad I did. Chris was very kind and hospitable, and he made sure my stay was a pleasant one.

    Sherrema2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was an amazing host. Always accessible, friendly, and communicative. I came to flint for business and I had more than enough privacy to relax after my long days. Would gladly stay here again.

  • Chris was an outstanding host. He was communicative before and during my stay and helped me feel comfortable while in Flint. The neighborhood felt safe and I walked to a nearby hospital without any problems. It was walking distance and Chris helped me find the way. The house is warm and room is clean. The bed is very comfortable, sheets and towels are fresh, bathroom is very clean. There were other guests there for interviews and it really is the perfect place to stay for that purpose. I highly recommend this place. Great value and excellent host!

  • Once again, an amazing weekend spent at Dan & Diane’s place. The weather was beautiful, fishing was great, dogs are happy - life is good! Even still, three nights does not feel long enough. Such a peaceful and beautiful place to be.

  • Dan’s place is gorgeous and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Dan is very welcoming as well and I hope to come back one day ☺️

    Marie2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • You can always expect a lovely stay at Dan and Diane's place! This was my third stay with them within this year. They keep all of the property extremely clean, the bedding will be freshly laundered and line dried ( it reminds me of when I was young climbing into bed at my grandmother's) and you will find a fire circle ready to use that evening for making smores no matter when you visit. The lakes are always interesting to watch, whether it be to sit by the fire and watch the sunset over the lakes or take a late night walk around the lakes and see the wildlife that might be out that evening! This trip we saw a muskrat creating quite a wake as he made his trip back and forth across the lake late at night! The neighborhood owl sang us to sleep on a very chilly night in August! No fears, I brought my heavy down duvet and Dan provided a space heater that kept us nestled warm enough that we kicked the down off of our feet about 3am! Do yourself a favor and go stargazing at night, the shooting stars are amazing and in August the Milky Way looks like someone left dust in the sky! Yeah, everything is pretty awesome at Oak Hill.

A spacious apartment on an 8 acre hobby farm, attached to the main house with private entrance. Picturesque landscaping and scenery. Location is quiet, safe, and cozy. It is our goal to make this a home away from home whether you stay 1 night or multiple nights. We are about 5 miles away from Flint Bishop Airport and within 30 min from many recreational, recreation, shopping, eating, and events.
The apartment was a former mother-in-law space that has been updated. It is quite spacious and quiet. Since this is located on a hobby farm, it is possible that you will hear the occasional dog bark or rooster crow, hear a tractor, or see a bug. Whenever we travel, we look for a space that is cost effective, clean, safe, and has hot water. This has all that and more!!
This space is on a hobby farm. We have many different animals and gardens that make the yard look like an oasis.
  • 2nd time staying at Troy and Rachel's. They are always responsive and helpful. Haven't been there in nice enough weather to really enjoy the farm/animals yet, but hope to soon.

  • I loved staying at the cottage. It was a very peaceful stay. I wouldn't mind staying there again when im in the area.

  • We loved our stay and Lucille was a wonderful host! She greeted us personally and gave a tour of the house. The house was very clean (even under the bed as our 2 year old had a blast going under). If you are looking for an out of the way cozy house with a great view and host, you can't beat the value.

    Stephanie2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing!!! If you are looking for a place of peace and tranquility, this is the place. Very cozy. This place is a breath of fresh air. From the sunrise, to the clear pretty blue skies to the illuminating stars at night, this is your place to come. Go by the lake and release it all at the water. Pray, meditate, feel the cool breeze and just relax. This was beyond my expectations and more. Besides learning how the water pump works, I had no issues at all. The neighbors are friendly and will offer help when you ask. I highly recommend Cozy Cottage as a place to go and destress and enjoy life. SUPERB!!!! 100 STARTS for me.

    Robert2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lucille was a great host. There wasn’t a time in the day that you couldn’t get a hold of her. The best thing about renting the house was receiving a message the day before my families trip asking if I needed her to grab anything from the store for us. She truly cares about the guest renting out her place and it shows through all the small touches.

    Matthew2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Recently stayed with girlfriend. Lucile's response time was great for any questions we had. If looking for a cozy place with quiet neighborhood can't beat the value. We took advantage of boat ramp access and caught many fish. We were looking to have a carefree, no worries type of weekend and that is what we experienced.

    Brandon2018-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lucille's cottage is one of the best values out there for a quiet weekend getaway. The sunrise over the lake was beautiful and serene. The setting is quiet without being isolating thanks to the little neighborhood setting. The beds were perfectly comfortable as were the pillows provided. There are 2 mini fridges, one in the house and the garage, which were more than adequate for my group of 4 adults and 2 toddlers for 3 nights. Absolutely loved it here and already looking forward to returning. Thank you Lucille!

  • Wow! Especially during the Fall season. The property is absolutely stunning. We enjoyed the kayaks on the lakes, the paddle boat and picking wild flowers on our hike. The RV was clean and had everything we needed. Pots, pan, gas stove/oven. Coffee maker, micro wave and full fridge/freezer. and Plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. Incredible heat, super hot water, and direct TV. The RV is situated in a private spot on this beautiful property. There are picnic tables around the lake. At the RV there is a beautiful campfire ring, chairs, a picnic table and a charcoal grill. It's really set up nice. There were plenty of sticks for the campfire and wood for sale. Hosts Diane and Dan responded very quickly to all my questions, concerns and requests. I highly recommend and hope to come back some time.

  • La is a very kind and responsive host. As you can imagine "glam-camping" can have it's quirks but La took care of any/everything that might have presented itself.

  • Our stay was nothing short of amazing. This was my husband and I 16th wedding anniversary getaway and we were greeted by a lovely note, flowers and balloons with well wishes for our special day. My 2 siblings and their spouses also came to join us and we were all impressed by the hospitality, location, cleanliness. We grilled in the Tiki Bar area. Had a bonfire and enjoyed some fishing. I would recommend this home to anyone and we look to renting the gem again and again!

You will have your own, beautiful, private bedroom in our hundred year old farm house. Our house has an amazing energy about itself. Some of the rooms still have original features from when the house was built. Most of the house has real wood floors and a great deal of other beautiful woodwork as well. During your stay here you are welcome to visit the animals and go for walks on the property or along the quiet countryside road. Its a wonderful place to enjoy the beauty of the sunrise or sunset.
We love having visitors and enjoy accommodating them the best that I can. We cook all of our meals from scratch and we eat quite healthy around here. You're welcome to share meals with us or use the kitchen to prepare your own meals. We also offer horse riding lessons as well as horse road rides if there is some knowledge or experience for an added cost.
Our neighborhood here is very quiet. We live on a gravel road about 3 miles from the little town of North Branch. We are surrounded by farm land. Our little town of North Branch is well known for the bakery shop. Best donuts ever! We are also known for the North Branch Bar and Grill, where you can get a great meal and an adult beverage if you so choose.
  • I use Airbnb a lot and this is the best host I have met. Beautiful room with beautiful view and a comfortable bed. They have horses that you can ride on. You get to spend your time with animals if you want. On afternoons, you get to see their farm plane flying. They have healthy and organic food. The hosts make sure you have everything and make you feel at home. I would truly recommend to anyone to stay here. You won’t regret it at all. Amazing farm experience!! Thank you!

Well preserved and restored Victorian era home that is divided into 3 separate apartments. This one bedroom apartment has a large living room, complete kitchen, walk in closets, and office with desk. The living room has a couch and TV with access to Netflix. WIFI internet provided.
The house has many of its original features but has been converted from it's single family construction to a three apartment building. I've recently purchased it and have been under going a large restoration of the building. It has steam heat radiators and original windows, most operate normally but it's a work in progress to get them all just right. The entrance has private storage for winter coats and boots and there is an additional door/lock segmenting the apartment you are renting from the rest of the building. There is a front porch and ashtray, please do not smoke indoors. There is ample parking available next door in front of the vacant property. Additionally there is gate parking available behind the house, it is a rather narrow entrance so probably only suitable for sedans and compact cars. The plumbing has been replaced top to bottom and is all lead-free PEX tubing, the house has always had a copper service line and a new one was installed Dec 2018. The house is still under going updates so you may hear work going on during the day but I will be sure to make you aware of anything of that nature before you arrive.
The neighborhood is downtown Flint. This property is within walking distance of Saginaw St and all it has to offer. There are number of local restaurants and bars in the area as well as art galleries. The chamber of commerce offers a guide of attractions and I'd be happy to recommend others upon request. https://www.flintandgenesee.org/cvb/things-to-do/
  • The location is just minutes away from downtown and the Flint Farmers Market. There’s a food truck that has awesome Indian food, definitely check that out. Jon’s place was clean and a very nice place to stay. We’ll definitely book there again!

    Patricia2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The house is beautiful and shows off some very nice original touches. It is within walking distance to downtown and the apartment was spacious and clean. Would stay again!

    Lauren2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jon was a great host - communication was quick and he had lots of helpful tips for us. The house was amazing and made our stay very comfortable. The location was extremely convenient, both to highway access and to all the amenities downtown Flint has to offer. We'd love to book another stay in the future and highly recommend it to other travelers as well.

    Cristi2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Location is near many restaurants and coffee shops. Easy access to expressways. The Victorian house is charming.

    Gregg2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • I give Jon's place an A plus. Here are some details: Location: This area of downtown Flint is awesome and has some really great restaurants, shops, and theaters (the Capitol and UM Flint's theater come to mind), all in walking distance. It is convenient to other great locations such as the Flint Institute of Art and the Children's Museum. There is also parking right next to Jon's place that is designated for the guest. I enjoy living downtown and felt as safe in this area of downtown Flint as I have felt in other downtown locations in other major cities. Jon's place: The apartment was in immaculate condition. It was extremely clean with thoughtful touches throughout. This is a restored house that has a really neat bathtub shower and a beautiful wooden stair case approaching the apartment from the entrance. Jon did an amazing job preparing the apartment for the stay. Also, for those with questions about staying downtown, I felt secure during my entire stay at Jon's place. Host: Jon was a perfect host, responding promptly to all my messages. Everything was exactly as promised, and check in was a breeze. Overall: This was an excellent experience. I would definitely stay here again and as I am moving to the area, I will be recommending Jon's place to others.

  • Five star experience. Clean, quiet, and very convenient. We highly recommend staying with A.J. He is a great host!

    Dormeshia2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • A.J.'s place was perfect for our weekend in Flint. The location was great, and having a designated private parking spot was nice; the neighbors were friendly too. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed (even some items we forgot to bring). The hall closet was well stocked with linens and travel items, and there was a welcome snack basket and bottled water, which was a very appreciated touch. Check in was very easy and well explained. Overall this was a great experience and an excellent value. We would happily stay here again if we find ourselves in Flint in the future.

  • A.J. Place was very clean and decorated well. kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. A snack basket and cold bottle water. Linen closet was well stocked with everything you could of think of needing. This town home was like a home away from home. there was also access to the basement if you needed any washing to do. There is good fishing and state land around the area.
  • That's a nice quiet spot on the Lake But yet not too far from shopping And plenty of things to do and the surrounding area

  • Awesome place for the price! There’s a lot of fun things to do around and it held our entire bridal party & more. We had a great weekend and there’s plenty of space for sleeping and lounging throughout the house.

    Austin2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • It was an awesome place to stay will definitely be back. Dan made everything really easy and communicated very well. The house is beautiful and can host a larger group very comfortably.

    Eric2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a true gem! Believe me when I say that the pictures don't actually do this home justice!! Let me start with Dan, the host. He was incredibly helpful, generous, and very quick to respond to my questions! He was very accommodating with our travel schedule and made the arrangements for checking in painless. He provided a binder with information both about the house as well as places nearby that we may need. Dan really was a dream host! The house itself exceed our expectations! While the actual description (beds, bathrooms, etc.) is accurate on the listing, it is quite a bit larger than I felt the listing made it seem. There is a full washer and dryer in the front hallway when you first walk into the home. The hallway opens into a small room with a full/double size bed. It's not a full bedroom with a closet or dresser, but a great way to utilize the space. There are stairs at the far end of the room that lead to a loft area. It is an open loft with a bathtub, toilet and sink on one side, as well as 3 beds- a full/double and 2 twins- on the other. There is a TV and DVD player that sit on top of a dresser, 2 nightstands, and a mini fridge in the bedroom side of the loft. There is also a good-sized closet, and we were so pleasantly surprised to find a portable A/C unit inside!! The loft also has a cute walk-out balcony, just outside the sliding glass doors. Back downstairs, there are 2 bedrooms that each have a full/double bed, closet, and nightstand. One of the rooms also has a TV with a Chromecast device hooked up and ready to go, a window A/C unit, and stand-up fan. Between the 2 downstairs bedrooms is a bathroom with a stand-up shower. The living room is a wonderful size, with a very large sectional couch, recliner chair, and fireplace! There is a TV with cable in the living room as well. We were surprised to see shelving next to the fireplace filled with board games and puzzles! The dining room table is large (seating 6) and beautiful and has a gorgeous view of the lake- thanks to the wall of sliding glass doors! Off the living room is the kitchen which is very well stocked with appliances! There was a small crockpot, blender, toaster, traditional coffee maker, and microwave. Aside from the food itself, you will likely find anything you might need in the kitchen! The biggest surprise would have to be the outdoor spaces in the backyard! The deck is huge!! There is a table with 6 cushioned chairs and a large umbrella in the middle of the deck. There is a bench, a rocking chair, 2 smaller round tables, a large stack of plastic outdoor chairs in the corner, and a bar area with 4 bar stool height chairs. The star of the show is the large wooden swing on the corner of the deck with a perfect view of the lake! There is also a horseshoe pit and a tire swing in the side yard, which was a fun surprise for the kids! I don't believe it is mentioned in the ad, but there is a propane grill that was available for us to use! It was a perfect space for entertaining, which was great for us since we were in town for a family reunion and there were so many people to try to visit with! Overall, I can't say enough good things about the home, the area or Dan, the host! It was the perfect place for a quiet getaway or family vacation! It felt very much like home away from home and if we go back to the area for another visit we definitely hope to stay here again!

    Kyle2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location on the lake. Small beach right off the large deck. Quick responses from the host. The general store within 2 miles makes some great food at a reasonable price.

  • Sage’s place far exceeded my expectations. I had a 30 day work project in Grand Blanc and I could not have asked for a better set up than my experience with Sage’s property. My room was big and clean and the overall value was as good as it can possibly get on Air B&B. I met Rudy who manages surrounding properties, he encourages everybody to contact him if they need anything. I locked my keys in my room and Rudy came over to help no more than 5 minutes after I contacted him. Sage is the best host. He worked tirelessly while on vacation to attend to the special requests I asked of him. Even jumped my car for me when the battery died one night. The xfinity cable tv w/ HBO set up in the living room was great. I have already reserved the same room for my next trip back.

Our house is newly remodeled and sits on 40 acres of farmland and woods. If your looking for a nice get away in a quiet country setting , than this is just the spot for you! Our little town doesn't have much, but your needs can easily be met as we are central to many towns around us! We have a popular grocery store close by that has just about everything you might need! Our property has some walking trails with an abundance of wild life roaming around, it's beautiful year around!
  • Great little house in MI. We stayed over Thanksgiving and it had everything we needed to make our trip special. It was very clean and Shannon was quick to respond to any questions. A few FYI: The house does have well water, however I was amazed that you could only smell it when you ran the water and they provided bottled water for you. The house actually smelled very pleasant and it was a non issue for us. There is also no Wi-Fi or cable and the cell service is spotty in the area, so I suggest printing paper directions as a back up. We went for an unplugged Thanksgiving and it was perfect for us. They also had some movies to watch. I would absolutely recommend staying here.
