My husband and I stayed here and brought Sammy, our cat. Erika welcomed us with a nice breakfast of homemade goodies and the best chocolate chip cookies that I ever tasted (recipe in back of a thorough informational binder), and a really sweet personalized welcome sign. The entry to the cottage had a wonderful landscape and stone walkway that opened up to a beautiful courtyard with tasteful patio furniture and clear directional signage. The entry to the cottage is beautiful with a split door. The inside is bright and cozy with a beach seascape theme, with light blue and white accents and natural wood. The kitchenette is small, yet fully stocked and well organized. The bathroom is generous in size, and airy. The cottage has its own private courtyard with patio furniture that complements the landscape. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and all of the furniture was comfortable. Our kitty (a large friendly and curious orange tabby), hopped on the windowsill and broke a piece off, and although I was horrified and offered to pay for repairs, Erika was gracious and made it seem like an easy repair. In summary, this is a wonderful place to stay and Erika is a terrific host with thoughtful attention to details. We will definitely return!

This is a stunning find! So cozy and private, with many thoughtful touches. The chocolate-chip cookie welcome was awesome! The beach is very close, and the neighborhood is very quiet and restful. The bed felt a little soft when we climbed in, but it was wonderfully supportive. The heater, though compact, warmed up the whole place in the time it took to brew a pot of coffee in the morning.

The cottage is just how it looks in the pictures. Nice private outside sitting area also. You can hear the ocean from the cottage. Easy walk to the Pacific Ocean. The location is perfect. Easy to get to everything you want to do. Loved sitting outside having our coffee in the morning and hearing the waves crash on the beach. We will be back.

The cabin was lovely. It overlooks trees and a creek and there is nothing h like waking up to that view. It’s very peaceful and quiet yet a 5 min drive to town. It’s cozy and warm, everything you would want for a get away, particularly considering that they are pet friendly. We love our stay and highly recommend it!

Celebrated my girlfriend's 22nd birthday here and we loved how close it is to all the Carmel activities. It is super cozy with a lot of convenient touches in mind. Also not too far from Monterey! All in all a great experience

Beautiful location in a quiet area but close to everything!

We loved our stay here! It was incredibly peaceful, very cozy, and we enjoyed some wonderful walks with our dogs in the area, including to the beach. We enjoyed starting our day with coffee on the little patio too! It is a hidden gem and we hope to stay again.

Sarah’s place is in a very convenient location between Monterey and Carmel with a quiet and private space simultaneously. It is comfortable with a nice view and outdoor space. The shower and record player were both unique and fun aspects of the stay!

A very pretty studio is a very pretty location. Had everything we needed. Wonderful garden for sitting outside. The host has detailed suggestions for local tourism, which was very thoughtful.

Had high hopes for this stay and they were realized! Sarah is great and her place is adorable. She was filled with local tips that were right on - we loved meandering around Pacific Grove (“PG”), Monterey and Carmel - and we had a wonderful road trip to Big Sur. Julia’s for dinner; Lover’s Point for sunrise, Aquarium anytime. You’ll love it! We had a wonderful mother-daughter weekend. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend Sarah’s “California Dreaming” Bungalow. An amazing location with a view of the Pacific Ocean. Conveniently located for access to the many Pebble Beach area golf courses and the Monterey Bay.

We had an awesome time in beautiful Monterey Bay! The aquarium, cannery row, and old fisherman's wharf were about a 10 minute drive away from the airbnb. The space itself was clean and cozy. We loved waking up to the ocean view and having tea by the window or hanging out in the zen garden. We also enjoyed the record selection! My husband really enjoyed the shower with the sunroof because it felt like we were showering in the forest haha! We slept really well during our trip because the space was free from any distractions. Miss Sarah was so accommodating and a generous host that we won't hesitate recommending or booking with her again!:)

We had a lovely stay in the Writers Studio. Everything we needed to be comfortable was close at hand. We loved the decor and we were just a short downhill walk to many restaurants and activities. The Steinbeck Writing Studio is a MUST DO for any John Steinbeck reader/fan. Even if you aren’t a Steinbeck fan, the studio is a perfect quiet retreat for an individual or couple. It has an eclectic charm that makes you feel so cozy and comfortable, that you’ll want to curl up and read all day. The location is fantastic and very walkable. We walked all over Pacific Grove, Cannery Row and Monterey. We never drove the car once after we arrived. Kevin and Vicky were very responsive and thoughtful hosts. We would highly recommend the studio to anyone! 5 stars all day!

We loved our stay in the Steinbeck cottage. Easy check-in, and close to the many attractions and restaurants the Monterey peninsula offers.

This is an AirBnb you will absolute want to book. Every single detail you could want or think to put into a place Kevin and Vicky did. A book full of tips, suggestions, and reviews of different places around town. The perfect location to access those places as well as a perfect cottage to retreat to after the long day. I loved reading why other people had come to the cottage with the journal left for guests to write in. The place itself was spotless and stocked full of all the things that make you feel at home. I really couldn’t of wanted more or had a better time staying at this AirBnb. Thank you guys again so much!

Great stay.

This was our first Air BnB experience so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Here are some awesome things and then some average things: Awesome: Aquarium passes. This is a $100 bonus. We weren’t going to go but we are glad we did. Super cool place and not far from this listing. Location. This listing is within 17-mile drive. This is a must do. The location is great and is within a gated community so it’s super safe. Amenities. Lu has everything for the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. You don’t have to bring much. We even did a load of laundry. Average: Cleanliness. Yes. It was clean but we had a small issue with ants on our 3rd night. The place is in the middle of the woods so it’s to be expected. There were some cob webs in the corners and hair on bathroom floor. She was a great host. I would suggest this place to anyone. The aquarium passes make it worth the price.!

Lu’s place was amazing, everything was provided and set for us as soon as we checked in, she even provided free passes to the aquarium. The home was very clean and nicely furnished. WiFi is also provided for those who can’t get good service. Overall I had a great experience staying the night at Lu’s place, I would highly recommend!!

Maria's house was adorable, spacious, beautiful, and clean. My colleague and i stayed here for a 2-day conference and enjoyed having a quiet, comfortable, cozy place to come back to in the evenings. We enjoyed the big kitchen, all the light coming in the front room in the morning, and the clean, open bedrooms. Thank you for an outstanding stay!

Great rental for a small family

For the best Monterey Peninsula experience, our choice is a place like this that’s a short walk to downtown. Great spots to walk and run along the ocean as well The amenities and cleanliness were above average. I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful Bungalow, centrally located and close to the water!

Return trip, we were last at the Blue house 5 years ago and again we had a fantastic time. The Blue House is conveniently located to a great many fantastic places to visit. Maria is a great host and the Blue House is a great place to see the Monterey / Carmel area!

Such a lovely home, located in a charming, super quiet neighborhood. We were able to walk to Lovers Point and really cute shops and restaurants daily. You can also walk to the aquarium, although it's a longer walk. We will absolutely stay there again, it was truly a special place.

This is a cozy house with a perfect location - short drives to downtown Monterey, Carmel, and northern Big Sur. We had four adults in the house and it was a great home base for our weekend. The hosts were quick to communicate and we had all the info we needed for a great stay.

Cute studio with all the necessities such as towels, blow dryer, dishes and utensils. Snacks and drinks were a bonus! The location is superb as it is only a few minutes drive to Ocean Ave and also to the beach. Melanie, the host, is friendly and communicative. She recommended a restaurant called Yafa and it turned out to be the best food we had the whole trip! Overall great stay, thank you!

The place is a studio, small with a stove, bed, TV, DVD + Videos, Frig, with separate bathroom with shampoo and lotions. Very comfortable, private, and quiet Room heater is adequate but need plenty of blankets at least in February. I would have no problem returning to Skt's place. Walking distance to downtown Carmel

Wonderful stay in Carmel! The place was spacious for two, there were complimentary snacks/drinks, the shower was nice, the location was perfect (close to town and other attractions) and the all around space was peaceful and beautiful. Would definitely stay here again!

We are satisfied with the accommodation in this small town of Carmel. The kitchen facilities are complete, the beds are comfortable and pleasant, and the environment and life in the town are very beautiful.

Daniel's place is perfect for us three - 5 minutes drive from Carmel downtown, sparkling clean place, and very spacious. Modern amenities all equipped, washer and laundry too. Bed and quilt are very cormfy. Daniel is very quick in response and super friendly. 5 star and more!

The house is in ocean ave. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to the beach to watch the sunset. The rooms are very clean, with all the facilities and utensils available. It is very convenient to cook by yourself.

We were celebrating my Dad's 70th Birthday at this lovely location. We had a wonderful time and walked to the beach in the morning. My only regret is we didn't stay longer!

Five stars for Flora Belle! Cozy, comfortable, fully equipped and quiet. Don't remember the last time we slept so well. The location is excellent, a couple blocks off the main drag (Ocean St.) and a five-minute walk to all our favorite restaurants. Reserved, off-street parking is an added plus. We'll definitely be back!

Great location, comfy bed, good heating system and fireplace. Parking was tricky at first with my Outback but got the hang of the small space. The winter weather was AMAZING and enjoyed a quick trip to Point Lobos and also the Carmel Food Tour through the town.

What a great hidden gem! From the beginning, Grant was so timely with his responses and the directions on how to enter his place were spot on. Loved the motion detector lights to the studio, it helped us feel so comfortable! When we looked around we found the studio to be very well appointed, so clean and inviting! The place was a perfect getaway and SO close to Ocean Ave and 17 Mile Drive. Thank you so much to Grant and his family for a wonderful 3 night stay.

Great location, very close to all you might want to see and do in Carmel. The neighborhood where Grant's place is located could not be nicer. The studio is cute as can be and extremely comfortable. The kitchenette is perfect for a quick meal, we picked stuff up at the near by Safeway and whipped up light breakfast and take out lunches. Grant has thought of everything in this little studio, nice touches that make this place feel like home. Highly recommend staying here, and in fact we will book here again when we return to Carmel.

Beautiful space with tons of natural light, and welcoming, homey feel. The little private patio is perfect for a morning cup of coffee, watching b the sun filter in through the trees that surround the property. Communicating with Grant was a breeze and very friendly. The guest house was clean and cozy. There is easy parking right in front of the house, and it's a quick drive to both beautiful beaches and delicious restaurants. Definitely hope to stay on the comfy king bed next time I visit Carmel!

My husband and I stayed for an extended weekend and Grant's place was perfect for our needs. There is a delightful private outdoor patio space where you can enjoy the stars at night or take in the fresh air during the day. The location was very convenient for our explorations (hiking at Lobos Point, 17 mile drive and the Monterey Aquarium.) Highly recommend.

Grant's place is well-named. We needed a peaceful getaway and it provided just that. As many have noted, Grant is a gracious host. He is attentive without being intrusive. The space is lovely and quiet with everything you need. The location is great. We walked to Carmel Beach and into town. Highly recommend it!

I stayed at Grant’s for three nights. I was so pleasantly surprised- the space was even better than I expected! Big and sunny and clean! Stay here!! You won’t regret it!!

Me and my girlfriend stayed in the apartment for a long weekend and we both had an amazing time. The place is a perfect size for a couple with all amenities you might need. Location is very convenient for a quick stop by in the town or to drive to any trip. Grant was a great host and I would highly recommend the stay.

Decent place. A bit weird that it doesn't have a shower/bathroom, but has a full kitchen. But we were warned and ready, and enjoyed our quick stopover.

Booking a hotel at Airbnb is also a different experience. The independent resort is comfortable, quiet and very nice.

Nice and spacious. Travelers who are highly sensitive to light and noise might find that the room is not quite dark enough to sleep without a mask and earplugs. They had people with leaf blowers working in the morning, and there was a surprising amount of noise from the road nearby as well, but it was generally quite a pleasant and peaceful spot. I suspect most people would not be bothered by these things.

My husband and I were very pleased with the cabin. Very clean with a full functioning kitchen. A hot plate is there in place of a stove. Perfect for us! The grounds are kept clean and look inviting. It's very quiet. The staff was nice and helpful. The location is great. We would recommend.

We loved our stay in this cozy Airbnb! My husband and I spent a few days in Carmel and this space was comfortable, clean, and convenient. The bed was very comfortable and helped us get great sleep on our trip — a true gem for Airbnbs! Jeffrey was very easy to communicate with and was very welcoming. We had a wonderful stay at Jeff’s cozy home in Carmel! Location is excellent for exploring both Carmel and the surrounding areas (Big Sur national parks, Monterey, etc.). Jeff was a fantastic host and greeted us personally and offered recommendations for things to do in the area as well as places to eat. Can’t say enough good things about this home and the host!

We were very impressed with Jeff’s hospitality, he came to greet us late at night when we first checked in and gave us tons of great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The place was just as advertised and very clean and cozy.

This spot was magical. The bungalow is exactly as pictured, was super clean, and perfect for my solo travels/ weekend away after a week of working in SF. Carmel is truly a majestic place, close to Monterey and Big Sur as well, so the bungalow is in an ideal spot to get around and see some of the most beautiful places our country has to offer. Jeffrey was also incredibly thorough with me in regards to checking in and giving me a lay of the land. The personal touches were also thoughtful and sweet. I would recommend this spot to any solo traveler or for any couples looking to get in and around in this area.

Cindy’s place is awesome! She supplies all the necessities that make for a great stay at her place. We wanted to drive the coast down through Big Sur and her location was perfect. For two days we made trips in to Carmel and Big Sur before we drove down to Malibu beach through Big Sur for the third time. The place was spotless and no hassle whatsoever. Certainly, you’re going to this area I would surely recommend her place.

We had a great stay at Elizabeth's over NYE. The cabin was rustic and very cosy with all amenities we needed. One small issue, we were not able to lock the bottom studio door during our stay. Regardless, Elizabeth was really quick to respond and provide support remotely.

We loved the location and the nice touches - it was a great escape and still close to everything Carmel had to offer. We’ll definitely stay again on our next trip to the area.

This is a really cozy and unique cabin with views overlooking trees and sounds of the ocean. Our Thanksgiving stay here coincided with some cold and rainy weather but the house and little downstairs apartment were easy to keep warm. We had a couple of issues come up and the owner was super responsive and quick to help which we very much appreciated. My only note to visitors is that the steps down to the apartment are potentially slippy (in the rain and dark). It wasn't a problem for us but it might be something to take into consideration if you're traveling with older people or little ones. Thank you so much Elizabeth - we hope to return one day soon!

We had a lovely stay. The house was perfect for our needs. It was warm, cozy, and comfortable. The weather cooperated so walking into Carmel was easy and only took 10-15 minutes, depending on our pace.

From booking to arrival the process was easy. The place is nice, clean, and worked well for us.

Luna's guesthouse was great! Maybe the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and the place was ridiculously clean. No issues with the security gate, just give them the address, and check in was so easy with a keypad door lock. Highly recommend three things: 1) sit out on the small patio under the trees and listen to the birds in the morning 2) arriving in daylight, the area is in the forest so streets are very dark! 3) Staying here! Great place and will definitely be back. :)

Loved staying here. The place is so well decorated, clean, and accommodating! The bed was amazing. And literature on what to do in the area was great as well. It’s also close to the town so Uber wasn’t an issue. We loved staying here.

Upon check-in, Bill was already outside ready to greet us and show us where to park. He showed us around, how everything works, and even gave us tips during our trip which we ended up enjoying our last morning in Carmel. We were less than 5 minutes from the Barnyard, Point Lobos, dining downtown and Carmel beach. Less than 15 minutes from a night out exploring Monterey! We even utilized the outdoor area to stargaze which we can’t do back home. The area is very quiet and calm and there’s no heavy traffic whatsoever around the home. The bed was very comfy, there’s lots of natural light to the very spacious room. Thank you Bill for making us feel welcome during our stay!

A great place to stay while visiting Carmel, the property is a 15 minute walk from the main street of Carmel, which was not an issue for us. The house was lovely and spacious, with the use of the kitchen, garden and living room, it realy felt like a home away from home. The host was very good at helping us with any questions and we were always able to get advice or more toiletries at any time of the day or night. We would highly recommend this property.

Our stay here was perfect. The room and bathroom were huge, the bed was extremely comfortable and the location was perfect. Will definitely stay here again next time I am in the area.

This is my second stay at the inn in less than a month and unfortunately it was a little less smooth than the last time - I received no check-in info up front from the hosts so I had no idea what room we were in, and no way to enter the main lobby of the building since I couldn't remember the entrance code. Then upon trying to enter my room, the room code did not correspond with what the host told me it would be. Neither of these were an issue during my first visit, but I would just be aware that generally the hosts are very hands-off. It's best to call them if you need to contact them and not rely on Airbnb messaging. Otherwise the room was great and the bed was comfortable, plus can't beat the location!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pacific Grove Inn! The hosts were very accommodating with letting us check in later than normal and it was easy to get into the room via the keypad once we arrived. The inn is super walkable to many restaurants in town (<5 mins) as well as the Monterey Bay Aquarium + Cannery Row (20-30 mins)! We didn't see the hosts at all during our stay but they were still easy to get a hold of via message or call.

Great place to stay, located not far from Lovers Point Park. Restaurants near by. Older Hotel but that’s part of it’s charm. Fireplace in room controlled by the thermostat on the wall.

This lovely Victorian Inn is just exactly what I expected...cozy, clean and peaceful. Highly recommended.

We liked staying at this vintage Victorian. It was updated enough to be comfy but had lots of historical touches and ambiance. We enjoyed just walking in the neighborhood. There are lots of nice restaurants and coffee shops in a short distance. Also lots of cute unique shops.

Very nice, exceptionally clean home. Loved the location relative to the beach and the Mission Ranch.

You can't beat the location, how clean the home was and Cathy's communication was second to none!! If the wind is right, you can even hear the ocean! Can't wait for our next visit!

Lovely house! Heating works very well and gets the house warm as it was quite chilly while we were in town. The house has a cute garden and full kitchen. It is also quite close to the ocean and there is a shopping center up the road for groceries. Super comfy beds!

Such a perfect place to stay for the price. No frills or anything, but it was nice to be able to have a place to come that was comfortable. Having access to Netflix was a plus, and that was nice to be able to unwind when we were actually at the house. What a charming city, and the location was perfect! We would definitely recommend this to future travelers, especially for the price! Thanks Cathy!

We had an excellent stay. It is a lovely property, with excellent amenities. The location is ideal - a short walk to two excellent beaches and the centre of Carmel. Cathy was super responsive and gave us some very helpful tips. We would stay again very happily.

The Le Petite Papillon was the perfect location to enjoy an absolutely exquisite trip to lovely Carmel. Right off Ocean Ave you are nestled in a gorgeous neighborhood a few blocks from downtown. Our hosts were so kind and thoughtful with their suggestions and hospitality, from trails to hike to all the best eating they made sure our stay was perfect. The room was full of lovely touches and had a true Carmel feel. They thought of everything you might need or may have forgotten. This long weekend was a truly relaxing get away for us and we can’t recommend the Le Petite Papillon enough for your stay.

The warmth, convenience and coziness of Le Petite Papillon was only outshone by the warmth, thoughtfulness and kindness of David and Brenda. Our anniversary getaway in Carmel was ever more special because they made it so. A comfy bed awaits you at the end of a candlelit path. Their gardens... clearly a labor of love as is their attention to detail. They were even kind enough to ask in advance and had a French press with freshly ground coffee, a bottle of wine and even my dairy free creamer waiting for us! The space itself is charming.... well appointed and conveniently located near the delightful downtown shops and restaurants; David and Brenda make it easy with plenty of local tips. Truly though- a special stay because of their extra efforts, quick and detailed communication and kindness. Truly a five star stay and hosts took It off the charts. We will be back!!

We just returned from a 3 night stay at the beautiful Le Petite Papillon! The house was exactly as described, and very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the extra touches and thoughtful welcome gifts the hosts left out for us. It was so simple to rent this charming house, and we loved how close it is to downtown Carmel. This gorgeous studio has everything a couple needs to find rest and relaxation. Beautiful and clean with extra touches that are far beyond anything I have ever experienced. If you are in Carmel and want a piece of heaven - look no further!

Such a perfect location. We walked down to Ocean Avenue several times. The home was bright and comfortable. We loved our stay. Almost no TV channels to choose from but who needs TV in a place like this?

This is by far the best place we’ve rented. It is clean, smells very good, has everything you’d think you’d need, comfortable, romantic, quaint and quiet. You won’t be disappointed. The location is perfect. Close to everything. Hosts are amazing. Quick to answer back but respectful and let you be. If I could rate higher I would!!

There are some small houses in the hotel. If you live on the first floor, the footsteps on the upper floor will be slightly noisy. Easy parking. The facilities inside the house are old, especially the ceiling...

For a family group of 3-4, this is better than the small hotel rooms in Carmel.

Really nice place, quiet and clean. 6 mins drive from the beach and 3 mins drive from the Carmel town center. Absolutely a place I would like to go again.

The sleeping and living area was cosy and spacious. And the surrounding outdoor space was well kept and welcoming.

The stay in the cozy apartment was lovely. I did sleep really good and enjoyed my night at Sweety's place.

Front desk was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. I really loved the layout of this inn as each room was basically its own building and I got my own parking spot right outside. There was a fireplace in the room and a comfy chair. The bed and room were very nice. I was extremely close to town. This was an awesome place to stay. Thank you!!

Cute individual cabin. The property is cozy with lounging areas to relax outside. Our cabin overall was more spacious than we thought and comfy King bed too.

Nice place. We especially liked the fact that it was a separate unit with parking outside. It's an older property and a little quirky. Each unit is unique. Overall, we were very happy we stayed there and even stayed an extra night.
