There is also a small organic vegetable garden with the basics for a Greek salad, i.e tomatoes, cucumbers & peppers. The cottage is a 10' minute walk to the waterfront & great walking & biking starting point.

The building was once part of the Byzantine Castle of Alonissos. In the early 19th century it was the island's first Post Office, and later the first ever café on Alonissos. All woodwork (furniture, floors etc) is handmade with solid oak tree wood and the décor is elegant and rustic. Rodia House

Rodia is an old Greek village house renovated to include all modern comforts but retaining the style and feel of the traditional houses in the area. The house has brand new mosquito window nets in all windows (installed in 2021). The television has Netflix all year around. In the kitchen, there is a Nespresso coffee machine.
