Venus en famille pour un long week-end, nous avons apprécié la maison de Guillaume, tout y est parfait pour se sentir à son aise . Guillaume est un hôte attentionné. A notre arrivée, une bouteille de cidre en cadeau pour nous souhaiter la bienvenue. quelle délicate attention...Si vous cherchez un endroit pour passer des moments de découvertes et de détente, nous la recommandons chaudement .

We have stayed in many Airbnbs over the years and this was the best ever. From the warmth of the welcome, the beautiful house and amazing gardens, the history, the graciousness of the building and the generosity of our hosts. It was impeccable. If you are visiting the Normandy beaches I can’t recommend this Airbnb enough. A truly special place that will stay with you for weeks afterwards.

When traveling I like a clean, well equipped accommodation, pleasant and helpful host and good location. Marie- Pierre’s home surpassed all of this. The accommodation was immaculate with all the home comforts you could wish for and so much space to relax inside or out. Marie- Pierre’s was so helpful from the beginning, responding almost immediately and regularly providing helpful information. On arrival she met us and explained everything, ensuring we made the most of our stay. The location is perfect for beach tour and visit to Bayeux, with private parking. On our last morning we had chance to say personal goodbye and thanks for everything Marie- Pierre’s had done to make our stay just perfect. You can probably tell we would have no hesitation in returning and recommending the property knowing such a professional and personal host is on hand to make sure you have the best stay possible. Thank you from us all and hope to meet you again.

We had a very nice stay in Alexandre's house. It was great to have the garden for our dog. House was very tidy. The kitchen was very well equipped and was easy to cook our meals. The village of Ryes is beautiful. very quiet and in a great location to explore Normandy. everything was within a short drive. The castle and grounds next door are fantastic for walks with the dog. Parking is not great, but we were able to park at the castle.

The photos of this lovely place don't do it justice, in my opinion. It's large, beautiful, and the glass doors (not shown) let in a lot of light. The floors are all tile and nice and cool/cold even when the weather is warming. It's out of the way and so peaceful, but nice Normandy villages to drive through getting to all the D-Day sites I wanted to visit. It's very close to the newer British memorial, and not too far from Omaha Beach and the American cemetery (about 30-40 minutes). It took longer (just over an hour, if I recall correctly) to get to Utah beach (around an inlet) and then another 40 minutes to return and visit Point du Hoc on my way back (well worth the drive). And then the best part of all is Martine, Frederic's mom. She is a wonderful Frenchwoman who it was my pleasure to meet and get to know. This is a great place!

Net als afgelopen zomer was het heerlijk verblijven bij Oriane. Voorzieningen waren top geregeld. Alles was aanwezig. We zijn niet voor niets terug gegaan naar Oriane, omdat we wisten wat we zouden ervaren. De communicatie was erg fijn, ging makkelijk en snel. Volgende keer dat we terug gaan naar Normandië, zullen we hier zeker terugkomen.

Julie ist eine sehr freundliche, hilfreiche und offene Gastgeberin! Die Kommunikation war sehr gut, was auch wichtig war, da wir tatsächlich "zu Gast" waren und die schöne Unterkunft teilten. Wir hatten natürlich ein eigenes, gemütliches und helles Zimmer. Der Rest des schönen Hauses mit großem Garten (Hühnchen und gelegentlichem Katzenbesuch inklusive) durften wir mitnutzen und es hat alles super funktioniert! Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und Sommervieu ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Trips ins nahgelegene Bayeux oder an die D-Day Strände, mit Auto oder auch Fahrrad. Unser erster Besuch in der Normandie und bei Julie hat uns auf jeden Fall sehr gefallen!

Kathy’s place is highly recommendable. Everything was in presteen condition. Kitchen well equipped. Nice and very clean big bathroom. Only complain was the noise from the street. But there was a celebration in the whole city, so it was an exception. Plenty restaurants within easy walking distance. Kathy is very quick to answer back if any questions are asked. We were four adults. And we enjoyed our stay.
