We are a B&B with guest ranch for 11 years. We practice Gentle Horsemanship and we love all animals. 40 horses, 5 dogs, 2 cats, 3 llamas and 2 donkeys live at the ranch. We serve a vegan breakfast and on request we serve vegan lunch or dinner. Guests have the opportunity to use our trails for fat tire biking, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, wildlife watching and horseback riding. An awesome place for animal and nature lovers.
“It was great, there were a bunch of cute dogs named Cloe, Edward, Luke and one we didn’t get to meet, which I love! had a fantastic sleep. Heads up for anyone though, we packed our own (precooked) meals for dinner to save some money and there was no way for us to heat up the dinners, so we had to eat them cold. It was really nice to have breakfast there. Judith is a very cool person to chat to, pro skydiver who now works with horses!”

“Unlike most of the reviews here for Melissa's place, I have not been lucky enough to visit her lovely airbnb. However, without a doubt, I would highly recommend her place to anyone thinking of visiting Russel or going to Asessippi to snowboard/ski. In fact, she is one of the most amazing Airbnb hosts I have ever met. How could I make such a bold statement without actually staying there, you might ask? Please read on... We planned to visit Asessippi for a snowboarding trip a few weeks back and we saw Melissa's place perfectly situated at Russel. The price of stay is almost twice as cheap as any other place. We picked it up almost instantaneously. Melissa then reached out to us for all the things we need to know about the stay. The communication was fantastic. However the day before our trip South Manitoba had a huge snow/ice storm, the road became extremely icy and we had our fingers crossed that the next day would be better. But it wasn't, and we decided it was safest for us to cancel the trip. I reached out the Melissa to notify her that we would not be arriving. She was really understanding of our situation and took the matter on her own hand and contacted Airbnb directly and fought for us to get the whole trip refunded!! We were not expecting it at all! It was such a generous gesture and we were really moved by it. If you are reading my review, then you should click on BOOK NOW, before it's too late! I already recommended Melissa's place to all my friends/coworkers and you should too!”
Welcome to our ski in/out cottage. We are located beside the tobaggan hill and have a skating pond out our front door. This is a fully furnished cabin with all appliances, including a dishwasher as well as all utensils. Outside there is a BBQ and a hot tub. The 2 bedrooms downstairs both have single over queen bunkbeds and there is a brand new master suite located upstairs. Downstairs off the kitchen there is a seating area with satellite tv. There is also a tv area upstairs with 2 hidabed sofas
“This was perfect for our family of 7 (including grandparents & 3 young kids). Lots of space for kids to play; perfect kitchen area; bbq & HOT TUB (especially helpful on this super cold weekend we were there for skiing). Great skating pond outside the front door! Excellent ski in-ski out spot so we could come back for warm-up hot chocolate & snacks! We’ve rebooked for next year!”
