My real name for the Airbnb is "The House of Color & Lights!" I've put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into totally renovating this lovely 1907 home. Each room has it's own unique decor and colors. The house is located in the downtown Renaissance historic district. My house and bnb is a blend of Victorian antiques including a Victorian clock collection and modern furnishings. The house is all wooden floors comprised of old world scotch pine, i.e. the rust and blond two tone colors.
“I was made to feel very welcome by Chris. He offered to cook me dinner but I had other plans so I said no. However I did take advantage of the breakfast of biscuits and gravy Chris cooked. My room was nice and the bed was comfortable. I slept well and did not hear a sound all night. I walked around the neighborhood and it's a nice quiet area. Thanks for the hospitality and the conversation Chris!”
My cozy attractive home is in the downtown historic area. The space is a blend of Victorian antiques and modern furnishings. If it is a drab grey day here in Dickinson you will easily be cheered up by the bright, colorful, and cheerful decor in the house. Each room has its own unique blend of rich colors and fabrics that enrich the visual experience!
This is a lovingly refinished 1915-era folk Victorian rescued from demolition and relocated to the banks of the Cannonball River in Mott, N.D., near the Badlands, Black Hills and agrarian prairie country. The porch is great for watching sunsets, wildlife, fish jumping in the river below and the occasional prairie thunderstorm rolling in. Stars like you won’t believe. The interior is a mix of arty eclectic and 50’s retro. I love this cottage. You will too. Kitchen ware, towels, bedding provided.
“Exactly as described. The cottage is a whimsical, mermaid paradise in North Dakota! We experienced all the hygge. So cozy! We would love to come back! If you plan on having coffee, bring your own cream and sugar. Also, Mott is a very small, rural town and there really isn’t anywhere to get groceries so plan ahead. There’s a gas station, but that was the only place open.”
