The previous reviews are spot on. The location is great, and the building is old but has a great charm. The apartment is very spacious, and the rooftop deck was certainly a plus. The plce lacks decor that could add to the homey feel, and the kitchen certainly could use some updating. We visit Maysville about once a year and will definitely look this place up againfor the next time

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Stay! We had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Hammock House—we truly didn’t want to leave! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described—if not better. All the thoughtful touches made us feel right at home. The hammocks, both inside and outside, were such a fun and relaxing addition—we loved lounging in them, soaking in the peaceful vibes. The hot tub was the perfect way to unwind in the evenings, and it made our stay feel like a true getaway. The location was quiet and serene, making it easy to fully relax. Casandra was extremely responsive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would absolutely love to return in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique, comfortable, and seamless experience!

Be prepared to have a breathtaking view and amazing experience! The hosts really paid attention to every detail and the house was so thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The view alone was worth the money but the place itself was just as beautiful. You’re in the “middle of nowhere” but can be to Kroger or a handful of fast food restaurants in 10 minutes.. drive another 10 minutes and you’re at all of the main attractions in the Gorge. The only negative thing I could possibly say was the wifi buffered a lot but that is to be expected in a mountain home that is new construction. Our overall experience was more than what I could’ve asked for! We will definitely book again and I can’t recommend this place enough!! You will not be disappointed! 😊

This was our first time staying at an Airbnb and the experience was easy and very comfortable. Best experience by far.

The place is adorable, and in walking distance of the local library and a couple restaurants. The place feels bigger than the pictures make it seem. There is train tracks just a few streets away, so you do get that noise, but I learned to tune it out pretty quickly. The stairs to the basement / laundry area are steep, but it has a railing. Overall, a great place to stay.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The home was clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained, with everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The setting was peaceful and scenic—perfect for a getaway. One thing to note: the roads leading to the house are a bit winding, so just be prepared for that if you're arriving at night or in less-than-ideal weather. That said, it was absolutely worth it once I arrived. The real highlight of the stay was the hosts. They were incredibly welcoming, responsive, and thoughtful throughout—from helpful local tips to making sure I had everything I needed. Their hospitality really made the experience special. Despite the curvy drive, I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and charming escape. Thank you for being such fantastic hosts!
