In the heart of the Lauragais, in the middle of the sunflower fields and away from the village, in an unspoiled and serene setting, come and explore a haven of serenity. This Lauragaise mansion, steeped in history and recently renovated, perfectly combines the charm of yesteryear and modern amenities. You will stay in an independent and fully private 80 m² gîte, adjoining our house. Private entrance and outdoor areas. Cats, horses, and chickens are part of the setting 🙂

The Castrum

The 3-star gîte (CDT 31) is housed in an old 13th century house that overlooks the vast village square and is part of the old medieval castrum (fortified square) whose thickness of certain walls and the embrasures recall the ancient origins of the place. The village is part of the Cocagne region within the "blue gold triangle" connecting Albi, Toulouse and Carcassonne, a region steeped in history related to the culture and flourishing trade of pastel in the 14th century.

Neighborhood close to the canal in the footsteps of Paul Riquet, 10 minutes from the belfry, large central square, close to all amenities. Near Lake Saint-Ferréol (5-min drive or 30-min hike). Ground floor studio in outbuilding with private entrance, very bright, high ceiling, 140 cm bed, possibility of baby cot or extra bed for child under 10 years old. Private bathroom, shower with wide door, separate private toilet. Kitchen area with hotplates and private fridge. Outdoor area for eating/resting. Shops 5 km away (Revel) French breakfast by reservation until 10:30 a.m. (€6/pers/day) Barbecue possible outside the drought/heat wave period.

Former mill, the house (the Chayla) is located in a small paradise of greenery. A river that is crossed by a beautiful stone bridge runs through the property. The renovated, bright and warm living rooms open onto superb views of the river or the mountain. The house is large and offers spaces adapted to everyone's needs: 4 bedrooms, but also a living room and library. Come and disconnect at Chayla!
