The Shore Hut

We traveled from Ontario and had a fantastic stay! The house was beautiful, with amazing views and all the features you could want. Relaxing in the hot tub while looking out at the ocean and nearby islands was a real highlight. The location is great—close to Lunenburg, Peggy’s Cove, Halifax, and plenty of other interesting spots to explore. The locals were very friendly and welcoming. Thank you!

Mallard on Church Lake Accessible Lakefront AFrame

Les TylerRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our stay at Mallard at Church Lake was fantastic! The A-frame design is stunning with beautiful decor throughout. The kitchen setup was perfect, and we loved using the outdoor grill for lakeside meals. As birding enthusiasts, we added many new species to our Life List and learned fascinating details about mallard duck behavior and life cycles. The location is a nature lover's dream. What really set this property apart were the excellent accessibility features (wheelchair ramp, no-threshold shower, seamless floor transitions, etc., which accommodated our disabilities. The hosts were communicative before and during our stay, making everything seamless. We enjoyed canoeing and paddleboarding during the day and incredible stargazing at night under clear skies. This property offers the perfect blend of comfort, accessibility, and natural beauty. We'd absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to other travellers, especially those needing accessible accommodations!

Hideaway Cottage

What a beautiful property and house - situated right on the ocean above a tidal basin, with stunning views and sunsets, and a gorgeous deck with all amenitites, BBQ, and large comfortable outdoor couch. The garden below is also lovely, with bubbling creek running down to the sea and little stone bridge. Relaxation is a given in this place! The beds are super comfortable, with luxurious bedding and dreamy mattress (I think we will get ourselves an Endy!) Bathrooms on each level were squeaky clean with tons of drawer storage. It was a good situation for my 93-year old mom who has some mobility issues, as she could sleep in the main floor bedroom, with bathroom nearby too. Kitchen was small but functional and well-equipped. The cute town of Chester is only 10-15 mins drive away, with grocery stores, etc as well as some lovely little gift shops. We had a really nice time, thank you Greg!

The Whale House

LeeAnneRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Our stay at The Whale House was perfect! Located in the heart of Nova Scotia’s South Shore, this stunning home is a true treasure! It offers breathtaking views of a peaceful dock filled with boats and sailboats. Gretha was a fantastic host—her directions were clear, & her warm, flexible approach to check-in made us feel immediately at ease. Gretha was incredibly responsive & helpful throughout our stay, always just a message away. The home is immaculate & tastefully decorated with charming whale-themed accents. The cozy pillows & unique artwork add character & coastal charm. We loved the spacious kitchen, especially the oversized island where we enjoyed family meals and games. The large entryway, comfy beds, and thoughtful details made it feel like home. The location was ideal—close to beaches, waterside restaurants, shopping, & the famous Shore Club lobster supper. We woke each morning to the sound of song birds! We’re so grateful to Gretha for sharing her beautiful home with us.

Beautiful home in the perfect location! We had everything we needed and were most comfortable! Bright and so well decorated! Our son was playing in a golf tournament which was very close by allowing us to come back and forth while we waited. Always enjoy visiting the pretty town of Chester!

The Blue Cottage

Vincent-GuillaumeRating, 5 stars10 months ago
WFP &J.P were amazing. We were delighted with our stay and fell in love with Nova Scotia. The animals were an extra unexpected. Gustave will be very bored of Maple. Small review THAT IS NOT A REVIEW. The fridge isn't very big so don't do too big a grocery every time. We arrived with too many things and didn't get in. But again, it's no big deal. There's a grocery store nearby. It's done very well. Just don't have to plan too far in advance if you have a big family like mine. The pool is extraordinary!!!!! Close to lots of beautiful beaches . We had a great time with the family!!!

Lakefront tinyhome Chester Grant with hot tub

What a perfect getaway for my daughter and I for her prom weekend nights. So peaceful and serene I couldn’t have asked for a better location. The only thing I would say is the Wi-Fi wasn’t super great for us, but we have very old phones and we weren’t very much concerned about it either because we were away to get away not to be on Wi-Fi. Maybe it was working better if we had to try it more than a couple of times but we just threw our phones away and enjoyed what we had there. I highly recommend this place and I would definitely go back.
