Our listed heritage cottage makes for a luxurious self-catering Karoo escape and is conveniently situated in the heart of the “horseshoe” area of Graaff-Reinet. It is fully air conditioned for those sweltering Karoo days and features a back patio which is a perfect place for a quiet and cosy barbeque. Although an ideal "lock and go" for a group of 4, if you're needing space for more family and friends, you have the option to book our neighbouring property, 54 Middle Street, which also sleeps 4.

There is air conditioning in every room which is essential in the Graaff-Reinet summer. We also have hot blankets on the beds to make you comfortable during the cold winters. The Loft House is a converted former barn with a king/twin bedroom upstairs accessed via a wooden staircase, en suite bathroom and views over the private garden. Ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen and sitting room with French doors to the garden. (PLEASE NOTE: the aircons are for use in the hot summer months, not to heat the house in the winter. We have electric blankets, hot water bottles, extra blankets and each house has a fireplace)

The house is child-friendly, and pets are welcome too. A gun-safe is provided, ideal for hunters. The stove is gas, so cooking during load-shedding is never a problem! As with many Graaff-Reinet houses, there is ONLY ON-STREET PARKING. There is also no TV.
