Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Roanoke County

This home was set up perfectly for an airbnb. There is a lot of care in making sure you are provided with everything you need. All the beds were super comfortable- which is so important! The bathroom and kitchen were stocked with everything you need. The decor is super homey. If I make it back to the Roanoke area, I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for everything !

Megan and Joel’s house is beautiful. A great location in Roanoke which is not far from any and everything that Roanoke has to offer. The beds in the 2nd room weren’t the most comfortable but they were okay to use for the few days during our short visit. All in all would definitely book again!

Described perfectly!!! You will get what you are expecting. Great home to spend time with family. Nice separation for privacy if you need it. BEAUTIFUL YARD! We enjoyed playing in the snow. WE ARE REPEAT CUSTOMERS. Last time we came in the Spring. Kathi was super helpful. We had some weather issues and she helped us resolve it with her flexibility. We are so grateful. We enjoyed time with our children and granddaughter. We played lots of games . Had groceries delivered and enjoyed home cooked meals with family! Close to many restaurants and activities if you like.

Tracy's home is spacious and has character. Wish we could have spent more time enjoying it, but we were busy with graduation weekend festivities!

We were visiting Roanoke for a graduation. Perfect place to visit with family and rest at the end of the day. Had everything we needed to share a meal and enjoy each other’s company. Really pretty views of the mountains. Well suited our needs.

What a beautiful home! Nice private setting yet close to everything! The home was perfect for our family while attending a wedding in Roanoke. The kitchen was well stocked, the home was very clean, multiple bathrooms, lots of space and a very nice backyard to enjoy sitting and cooking. We would highly recommend this home! Angie is a perfect host - kind, responsive and offers a beautiful pet-friendly home. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and she even left a thoughtful basket of goodies. The house was spotless and very comfortable. The entire home appeared to be recently upgraded - from toilets to microwave to faucets! I’m already looking forward to staying here again and hopefully meeting Angie in person.

Great place, very large, very eclectic and so many outdoor options. Just a few min from trails and restaurants. Hosts were amazing and very communicative.

Birgit was wonderful throughout our entire stay! She welcomed us and recommended some really great restaurants nearby. Very peaceful neighborhood while still being within a short drive of downtown. Would absolutely stay again, thanks so much Birgit :)

We had a very nice stay at the Sunflower Suite. Patricia and Gene's place is super comfortable, quiet, and spotless. We felt right at home. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. We enjoyed the gas fireplace in the morning. We would happily stay here again.

Traci and manager Sophia were super responsive to requests and texts. The place was very clean and as advertised. The location is walkable to the marina and a quick drive to other restaurants, state park, and grocery. We would definitely book again.

We enjoyed our stay at The Mill! The suite was far more spacious than we expected. Be sure to sleep with the windows open because the sound of the river reminds you of the beautiful setting in this charming town. The bed was very comfortable and there’s even a sitting area in the bedroom. We enjoyed morning coffee in front of the picture windows that provided a stunning view. We loved the restoration story and handmade features. Marcia was very easy to communicate with and made sure we were comfortable.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Susan and Tom’s Airbnb for over a year, and I can confidently say this has been the best Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. From day one, they welcomed me with warmth and kindness, creating a true home away from home. Susan is an incredible host and a fantastic cook—her muffins, scones, and soups are absolutely delicious and something I’ll always remember fondly. She frequently invited me for dinners that were not only delicious but filled with wonderful conversations and laughter. Tom is equally wonderful—he’s someone I genuinely enjoyed spending time with. We had countless engaging chats, and his company was always thoughtful, interesting, and uplifting. He’s truly great to be around and made my stay all the more enjoyable. More than just hosts, Susan and Tom became like family. If you’re considering a stay here, don’t hesitate—this is a rare gem of a place with two of the most wonderful hosts you could ever meet.

We had a GREAT stay!!! I’m from the area and came home to visit - was looking for a nicely located “base” and it was perfect. Will absolutely be keeping this in mind for more trips home. Even forgot a bag upon check out and was contacted promptly so that I could return and grab it.

We had a lovely stay at Dovies Nest. It was spacious, clean and inviting. Nice amenities. We loved having the fireplace as it was uncharacteristically cool during our stay. It was very close for great hiking nearby and Bedford is a quaint little town to visit.

Annie's home is delightful. Full or art and creativity. It is a very comfortable stay with a private bathroom and kitchenette. Plenty of room for eating and a nice desk space for laptop. I highly recommend staying in this lovely restored home. Annie is a gracious and welcoming hostess.
