Apartment vacation rentals in Ribeira Grande

Apartment is beautiful, and the location is unbeatable. Absolutely the best location we could have asked for for a few days in the city. The host coordinated a taxi pickup for us after we checked in, which was much appreciated as we were unsure which taxi company to use (and there is no Uber on the island). Only feedback is that they use a management company and ask that you communicate via whats app for quicker response. Not a huge fan of communication outside of the Airbnb app, and response time can vary. The apartment was beautiful, in a great spot, and checkout was easy. Would stay there again.

Santa Bárbara Sea House is peaceful yet close to Ribeira Grande. The apartment is tastefully renovated, bright, very clean, and well equipped. We especially liked the two comfortable bedrooms, the open kitchen-living area, and the shared outdoor space. Silvia an her Team is a fantastic host – friendly, reliable, and easy to reach. A perfect place to relax, enjoy, and explore the island. Highly recommended!

The stay was very pleasant, the accommodation is impeccable and as described, equipped with everything you need. Very well located for getting around the island. Bruno was very nice and flexible on the arrival time. If you like dogs, you'll be happy to have regular visits from one of them! :) I would recommend this place without hesitation.

The hosts are lovely, they are attentive at all times, they have left us freshly baked bread every morning. We were a little worried about the town, but on the contrary, everything was great. Very friendly and very hospitable people, everything is very safe. Do not hesitate to stay in this house, it is 100% worth it for the location, the service and much more for the house.

Immaculate and great location in Furnas. Clean, comfortable apartment with well-appointed kitchen. The location was amazing just a block from Parque Terra Nostra. The Caldeiras are on the other side of town, a 10-15 minute walk. Ample street parking a short distance from the apartment. We found the washer/dryer useful. The best part for me was how quiet the penthouse was. It is on a main street, but the place is in the back of the building, and we never heard street noise or neighbors. This was my favorite place of the 3 we stayed at in Portugal, but it was my wife's second favorite, as it was smaller than the others and she found it a bit cramped.

We had a wonderful 11-night stay at this beautiful villa in São Roque, São Miguel. The central location made it easy to explore the entire island, and we loved being able to walk to several great restaurants nearby. The villa’s southern exposure offered stunning ocean views and provided a sheltered spot from the coastal winds. Inside, the space was modern, spotless, and comfortable, with two balconies that showcased the beauty of the São Roque coastline. Parking was simple and convenient. Hosts Sophia and Fernando were incredibly gracious and always available to help. We especially appreciated the thoughtful gift baskets with local Azorean treats—they were a lovely welcome. This was a perfect home base for our family and made our trip truly memorable. Highly recommended!

A magical place! The view is epic. Better than the pictures. Ana greeted us with such warmth and energy from the start of the trip and text me a bunch of wonderful recommendations. The place itself is beyond gorgeous. Peaceful. Quiet. The bed was super comfortable and so wonderful to sleep in a King after weeks of doubles. The shower is dreamy. Walk to the natural pools. Drive 20 Minutes to Lagoa da Fogo and one of our favorite hot springs. This place was beyond dreamy and highly recommend!!! Locals in the area are warm and friendly. I can’t say enough about this place. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Apartment that matches the photos, as well as the equipment and utensils described. Very friendly, responsive and attentive to all needs. I asked to remove all the carpets since my children and I have asthma and Paulo was extremely careful, the house was very clean.

Nice comfortable apartment. Well situated with supermarket nearby and other amenities. Practical location for visiting the island. Easy parking in front of building. We had a great stay there. Nice terrace for sunny days.

One of my favorite places I've ever stayed. Spotless, spectacular views, central on harbor, small grocery shop two doors down. This high rise property is a rarity in Ponta Delgada The apartment is lovely, with every convenience considered, from sewing kits to notepads tucked into bedside drawers, chargers, umbrellas, games, music, the list goes on. Kitchen is well equipped, with lots of high quality cookware, plus cooking oil + basics like sugar + rice. Laundry works well. Parking included. Bruno is responsive and knowledgeable. He had great tips for the Azores. We did a family vacation with lots of hikes, surfing, hot springs etc. Would absolutely return.

It really made a difference and added such a personal touch to the experience. My three friends and I felt relaxed, safe, and truly cared for. Whether we were sharing meals, exploring the area, or just unwinding, the space brought us joy and made our trip so memorable. We absolutely loved our stay! The apartment has so much charm – it’s part of a beautifully renovated old building, combining traditional character with stylish design. It’s located in a little village, which made the experience feel even more special and authentic. The apartment is perfectly equipped with everything you need, and we got some nice local gifts. The large garden is peaceful and great for relaxing. It's also the perfect base for exploring the west of the island, including the breathtaking Sete Cidades. We will definitely come back.

Sofia’s Airbnb was the perfect spot for our stay in the Sao Miguel. It was central, looked just like the photos and Sofia’s communication was amazing. She always proactively ensured we had everything we needed and responded right away whenever we had questions. Definitely having free parking options close by was a bonus. Would recommend this Airbnb on your visit.

Beautiful location. Sea view. Big sliding glass doors and wonderful black out blinds. Brilliant shower. Gualter and his wife were perfect hosts, helping with local convenient car hire and taxi too. Always there to help make the trip smooth and special. Great hosts, great apartment, great location. There are sea water swimming pools within 5 minutes walk! We loved this.

André was very helpful from beginning to the end of our stay. Always available if any help or advice was needed. Extremely friendly in communication and checking in with us during our stay to make sure all was okay. Amazing experience and great location. The hot tub was exactly what we needed at the end of an adventurous day! I recommend to anybody looking for a great experience and central location while in Sao Miguel!

This accommodation is completely first class. Beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable and remarkably clean. The kitchen/dining/living room were all areas we enjoyed hanging out. The kitchen is so well appointed we didn't need anything. We enjoyed it so much that twice we cancelled local dinner reservations and cooked instead. We loved that we could open the windows and enjoy the cross breeze. Having a clothes washer and dryer was an added plus, as we all were able to pack light and not worry. Also having a garage was an added plus!! The location could not be better. Restaurants and shopping in every direction. We never had trouble finding a market or a place to get coffee. Pedro gave us several great dining suggestions. Pedro was the best host. He always got right back to me with answers and checked in on us to make sure everything was going smoothly. I would definitely reserve this again should we find ourselves back in Ponta Delgada!

Beautiful view from downstairs bedroom. Enjoyed waking up to sound waves and birds. Kitchen was spotless and equipped for basic cooking. Baths also spotless. Hot tub was enjoyable. Host met us upon arrival and gave us lots of tips on what to see and where to eat. Checked on us everyday and they even clean apartment every 3 days and restocked towels and toilet paper. This is an in credible host with a great attention to detail and extremely responsive and helpful. Parking on the street was always available and we felt safe in the area. Don't pass this one up. It was perfect!!

We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment is very close to a popular surf spot, it's just 1 minute walk. The apartment is very modern and having the jakuzi on the terrace was a nice experience. The communication with Ryan was very fast, when there was a problem, he helped immediately.

Bruno was very attentive and warm. As for the apartment, it's just perfect.
