Utstein Lodge is beautifully located down by Klostervågen at Utstein Farm. The farm surrounds Utstein Monastery and constitutes the majority of the island of Utstein. At Utstein there are animals on the farmland and cultural pasture all year round and limited access to traffic. It is possible to see/participate in the farm operations. Magical place at the lake with a 8000 m2 garden and 120 m beach/shoreline. Perfect for relaxing, boating and fishing. At the lake there is a pavillion with a remarkable view where you can enjoy the sunset. A boat and canoe are available for free. It's a very private and quiet location, but still perfectly located in Ryfylke with all its breathtaking hikes nearby. In 2020 the bathroom and hall was totally refurbished, and a fiberoptic cable was installed with a fast wifi-connection.

The house is well equipped in all rooms. The house is located only 7 km from the starting point of the Pulpit Rock trail. It is a 5 minutes drive from Jørpeland, wich is the town center in this area. From the house it is a 10 minutes drive to the ferrydock in Forsand, where there is ferry connection to Lysebotn.

The house is a farmhouse from 1907, it was completely renovated in 2019. The house is located in an open landscape surrounded by farms that run sheep, cows and horses. These surroundings create beautiful views from all around. On our farm we cultivate fruits and berries, and produce apple cider and aronia juice for sale. In addition, we have a small home bakery where we bake potato cakes. The house is located undisturbed in relation to both neighbors and the host family's home.

The boathouse is brand new and part of the seaside house environment towards Soknasundet. There is a jetty with fishing opportunities. Buildings and furniture are made by the renowned architect Espen Surnevik. If you come by boat there is plenty of room for the boat at the jetty. The boathouse is part of Sokn Gard (see fb) which has many animals you can visit, and the farm has 5 km of hiking trails.
