Rend Lake fishing vacation rentals

We were in town for a girls get away with some hiking and Twisted Sister was perfect! Such a beautiful setting and so close to the places we wanted to go. It was super easy to get in, very clean, and had everything we needed to cook for ourselves as we prefer to do. We also enjoyed strawberries from Flamm Orchard, and great hikes at nearby Little Grand Canyon and Cove Hollow, plus of course Giant City State Park. Candace was an excellent hostess. She lives next door but gave us complete privacy. And when I had questions or wanted recommendations she was super responsive. It made us feel safe and cared for. It is so nice that she shares her beautiful property with guests in this way. We will be back!

Loved staying at Ellen’s beautiful lake home for the weekend. It was very comfortable for all and views of the lake/sunset did not disappoint! Ellen was super quick to respond to questions before and during our stay, so accommodating and pleasant :) Lake of Egypt is one of our favorite spots and we enjoyed going back once again. Ellen’s home is one of the prettiest yet - updated and modern with all of the conveniences + lots of extras with vacationers in mind. Located near the marina for great food, boozy shakes, live music and the water park. We also enjoyed the kayaks provided and hanging out on the large deck of the home, as well as the spacious dock below. Highly recommend this host and home for your next trip to the lake!

Amy was very helpful, responsive and kind. She had many suggestions on things to do in the area as well as restaurants. Very organized! The place was cute, cozy, clean and very well stocked. Everything you need is pretty much in the place. Amy has added touches that other hosts do not. My wife and I enjoyed swimming and kayaking with the kayaks provided on the beautiful lake. We also loved the hot tub at night when it cooled down. It was very roomy and clean. We took numerous walks around the area...just gorgeous scenery and wildlife. We went hiking one day, did a few of the wineries and a distillery on the wine trail one day. We grilled on the flat top a couple times and that was well maintained. There is also a cute firepit on the property. We love this area so much we try to come down every couple years as the area is just breath-taking and a great reset from busy life. I would highly recommend and definitely stay at Amy's place again.

Our stay at this lake house was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the thoughtful touches and attention to detail. The living room’s large windows, provided breathtaking views of the lake. It had every appliance and utensil we needed, along with thoughtful extras like spices, oil, and coffee filters. The bathrooms were equipped with ample towels and toiletries. We enjoyed peaceful mornings on the deck, sipping coffee, cruising the lake, and watching the wildlife. The quiet surroundings made it easy to relax and unwind. We can’t wait to come back and stay again!!

If you want a getaway where you can take in all the natural beauty of nature out your window and with the Lake of Egypt at the bottom of the hill and stunning hiking trails close by; this is your place. All that you need is perfectly located in this cozy home. Sheri left little extras in the home and her communication and thoughtfulness was outstanding. Thank you Sheri for a wonderful weekend. The house is super cute, the layout is so weird but cool. There is a step down from the master bedroom, clear signs that there is a step, but we both fell on our faces haha master bed is super high up, they provide a step stool. This house is not for anyone that cannot handle stairs. It is a workout walking down to the lake and back up. They provide a charcoal grill. But make sure you bring your own starter or fluid. They provide a fire pit but bring your own wood. There is a propane grill but bring your own propane. Only downside was we could not park the truck and boat in the drive way, and had to use the grass. It is not very easy to park a boat trailer in this area. The patio in back was amazing, very cozy. Fell asleep watching and listening to the rain. Kitchen is well stocked with all cookware, lots of condiments left on the fridge from past guests. AND the best part- the sound system!!!! We loved this place and hope to come back soon.

Other than inclement weather, our group had a nice stay. Michelle responds quickly with any questions. The house was very clean when we arrived and possessed all the essentials that you need. Would definitely recommend this house!

This was a great place to hold 6 girls comfortably for a bachelorette party weekend. The house was perfect! Right on the lake, loved the fire pit by the water and our deck with w beautiful view of the lake! Would definitely recommend booking here for a future girl's weekend!

Excellent location. There was one minor discrepancy in the listing and Adrian was very quick to respond, corrected the issue immediately, and was more than accommodating. One thing worth noting is the bunk area is a completely separate entrance (though still part of the living structure itself), which I probably just missed in the description but the place was wonderful and Adrian could not have been better.

JR was quick to respond and friendly. We went there for a fishing trip and it did not disappoint. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. Could easily do 6 people. The porch swing was really comfortable sitting on at night enjoying lake life. The covered pier was awesome! Electric to plug in our boats, lighted and a nice little fish cleaning station. It was a great deal and we hope to go back again soon!!

Thank you so much , we really enjoyed the house , we used it as the base for a graduation at SIU. We enjoyed the serene setting. The outside area was perfect ,tons of seating areas. The house is completely stocked and extremely clean. We appreciated all the special touches and the welcome gift, the decor really made it feel like a vacation .

We've stayed at several places on Lake of Egypt and this was one of the best! Very spacious, great location, very well stocked! Some Airbnbs don't provide enough of the basics like toilet paper, but this home was very well stocked with more than we could have hoped for (even body wash, shampoo and conditioner, if needed). Great view and easy access by car or boat.

The house was our retreat from a stressful time. Everything was clean and easy to understand instructions were left for us on how to use the tech there. plenty of wildlife to see and enjoy with deer, fish, and rabbits. Loved the house and if we are ever in the area again will definitely stay there again.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the lake house! The house was amazing. We enjoyed using the kayaks on the lake. We had a fire in the fire pit every night. It was absolutely amazing! Tina is super responsive and even gave us a lot of local recommendations and did everything she could to make our stay easy. We will definitely stay there again in the future!

Well-kept accessory dwelling unit, with interesting decor. We enjoyed using the record player! The location is (not surprisingly) rural, but an easy drive to nearby towns. The bed is memory foam. The kitchen served our basic cooking needs. We enjoyed visiting the natural areas of the Shawnee National Forest while we were here, and appreciated the hideaway as our base.

This was a very nice weekend getaway. Quite, felt safe, Very well stocked, very clean, we really enjoyed our stay.

I booked this last minute and arrived late, the hosts answered me at 8pm at night-my GPS had taken me somewhere totally different. They stayed on the phone, guided me to the property by me telling them landmarks which was really nice of them!! When I arrived, they checked back to make sure I’d gotten in and everything was alright. The cabin is beautiful! SO CLEAN!! It’s better than the pictures. The deck view is amazing, the hot tub was clean and perfect, the cabin has everything you’d need while you’re there. I would definitely book this again, and appreciate the thought and detail put into the property. Excellent job to the owners and staff!

Private and pretty unique stay close to several great hiking trails in the Shawnee Forest

This place was literally perfection! The home was so well thought out, and the small things that the host did really stood out. The location is perfect for a few days away from busy lives and just a slower pace of life. It’s the kind of place you want to tell everyone about but also keep it as your secret getaway. We will be back Hope around the fall. I can only imagine how stunning it is then!

This place is such a sweet retreat from busy highways and from the world! Our stay was short as we were en route but it was a wonderful respite and all of our needs were met. We would definitely stay there again!

Was looking for a quiet get away to go explore the Shawnee National Forest. Came across this place and it looked perfect. On arrival, it was exactly as described but even better! Accommodations were excellent.Lots of blankets, loved the decor, bed was COMFORTABLE, the covered porch was perfect to sit out on and look at the pond- even when it was raining. I cannot say enough about this place. Perfect. Will be back! Thank you to Travis for the perfect setting and for being an amazing host!
