My family and I were very pleased with Eric and his lake house. It was perfect, clean, and very inviting. The home and location matched the pictures; in fact, it was better in person. Everything we wanted to do was there, we only went to the market. Eric was very attentive and when I had a question or a concern- he was quick to follow up and he was a great communicator. He responses were prompt and friendly. This meant everything to me. He did not act like a stranger; he welcomed us into his beautiful home. If I had my way, I'd still be there but work calls. I would highly recommend Eric and his lake house. I'm already talking to my husband about making plans to go back next year around the same time. If you're looking for a home beside the water with kayaks, grills, fire pit, and life jackets and close to beaches and most importantly a host who cares and will be attentive, check out this property and Eric. They both deliver.

I needed a place that my family, from out of state, could stay while attending a graduation. The house was perfect! I told Bob what I wanted to do and he was encouraging and helpful. He made sure we had propane for grilling and answered all my questions. He was very prompt when I reached out to him. We had an amazing time. I would stay there again.

I can't say enough good things about Sharon's place. We loved everything! A lovely place to unwind. House was cute as can be! Clean and everything was provided. The pool is a super bonus. Just a beautiful place. We certainly hope to come back again soon! Thank you so much, Sharon!!

My husband, brother, and two of our friends spent the weekend at Brad’s house and we had a lovely time. It was extremely conducive to relaxing. We cooked our meals there. The kitchen was very clean and we had found everything we needed for our meals. We were able to use lies the front porch. The pool was closed, but it looked very nice. Brad is an amazing host. He will answer your questions quickly. I would highly recommend staying at Brad’s place to anyone.

This was the perfect city get away for a weekend trip! The location is great, in the country but also only 10 minutes from Middelburg shops and restaurants. The home was even better than pictured, especially the outside area. The yard, pool and outside seating areas were absolutely beautiful, just so peaceful. The home was absolutely lovely, very clean, comfortable and with all the amenities you would need, including in the kitchen. Really hope to come back, I would highly recommend this rental. An amazing retreat with incredible views of the mountains right off the deck & from almost every window. The scenery was breathtaking having 10 private acres to explore we hiked the woods right outside the door, local wildlife was a treat to spot. Spent the evening in a relaxing hot tub & by the firepit it was the perfect spot to watch the stars. We saw both the Sunset & the Sunrise from the Hot Tub, it was spectacular. The house is large with lots of space yet cozy for just 2 of us, it was perfectly appointed, with a log fire, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. Can't recommend this spot enough for anyone looking to unplug and connect with nature we were looking for a place for a family reunion later this year it is perfect for large parties. Lots of beds & bathrooms all of a high standard. The new Porch was lovely surprise for morning coffee looking at that view. We are still reeling from the experience. 5 stars isn't enough - I'd give it 10 if I could!

My girlfriends and I stayed here for a weekend girls trip and unanimously agreed—this was the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly well-stocked. From the cozy blankets to the ample seating and thoughtful touches throughout, everything felt intentional and welcoming. The amenities were top tier and made our stay feel elevated yet comfortable. Tracy was a fantastic host—super responsive and helpful. She reached out with helpful info before we even had questions, which made everything smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-appointed getaway!

Elena was a pleasant and accommodating host, and the place was absolutely beautiful. Our group of 7 fit very comfortably in the space. The house itself has lots to keep a group busy — hot tub, outdoor games, board games, etc. And the location with respect to hikes, the town, wineries, was great. The house was well-stocked, especially the kitchen. You can tell the hosts care about and use the home for themselves, which translates into a cozy experience for guests. We would definitely come back and hope to do so!

This was the perfect spot for our nature loving family! So peaceful and plenty of room for everyone. We kept a fire going in the beautiful fireplace and they provided us with plenty of wood. Close to Old Rag and spent an afternoon in Sperryville. We saw deer, hawks and Bald Eagles Would definitely recommend if you need a quiet private setting!

Absolutely gorgeous - seeing it in person blows the pictures out of the water, and a great way to get some peace. They have a nice long walking path that goes around - there was some troubles with ticks, but we just checked ourselves afterwards when we went out. We also tried the Pool and Spa, which is VERY much worth every penny.

Connie is a great host and the 6-person house in Castleton was a wonderful retreat, just what we were looking for. The house was as fantastic as the photos show. Be sure to see their additional 'Grounds' photos on their website. The hottub was hot, clean and worked great (even in winter). During our visit, the donkey, miniponies, goats and ze-donkey were fun to watch grazing in the fields in the field on the other side of the backyard fence. Stargazing was great at night. A bbq grill was on back deck, and a propane tabletop social 'firepit' which was great for morning coffee hangout. A woodstove (& everything I need to get it started) was in the living room. We walked the paved 4+ mile loop to see more of their animals.

The views and peace are unmatched. Enjoyed the paved path to walk dinner off too! Very clean, great jacuzzi tub inside and hot tub outside. Very close to SNP. Full kitchen was nice. Deer entertained us every morning . Loved it all.

This was such a LOVELY stay! Clean, thoughtfully designed and beautiful tranquility! Super responsive host team and so kind and helpful when we realized we’d left my son’s AirPods behind! A perfect little gem only a short drive from the most adorable Main Street in Front Royal, and definitely made us feel at home! You won’t regret booking here!

Our girls weekend at Connie’s was everything we were looking for…and more! From the fire pit table to the hot tub, from the beautiful walking trails to the star gazing at night, it was the tranquil and peaceful environment we were looking for to get away, escape the business of life, and reconnect with each other and God! Connie was extremely responsive to any question I had while there (big or small). She was patient and helpful! 100% recommend this property and anything from Connie!!!

The Airbnb advertisement for the house does not adequately convey how nice this place actually is! Most of the items in the house: furniture, appliances, cookware, grill, bedding, towels, etc. are of high quality and excellent condition. The interior of the house is open, spacious and beautiful. It has high ceilings in most rooms, and a vaulted ceiling over the kitchen, dining room, family room, living room, and foyer. Barbara and Mike gave our girls a tour of the sheep farm and let them meet their dog. They were also responsive quick to take action whenever we had issues (like tripping a circuit breaker and running out of propane). For an additional charge of $75, they warmed up the pool for me twice because I am not a fan of water temps in the low 80s. The location is beautiful and secluded, but you can get to Shenandoah hiking trails in 20-30 minutes or Walmart/Safeway in 15 minutes. We loved our time here and would definitely stay at Peacefield again.

Wonderful weekend stay right on the river. Easy access to the hazel river, Shenandoah national park, as well as some short trails right on the property. Spectacular views from every window and multiple decks. It’s easy to sit and read a book while listening to the peaceful sounds. This property is beautiful with everything you need to feel right at home. It felt more like a home than a rental property. It was well decorated and somewhere you actually want to spend time vs drop your stuff and head out. We enjoyed our stay, and plan to return.

We had a great retreat at John’s place. The farm was just the spot for a quiet weekend outside the city. John was a great host, thoughtful and responsive.

Our stay exceeded our expectations. The home is absolutely pristine, totally renovated with beautiful furniture and art work. We didn't cook while we were there but if we did, they have everything you could possibly need to create all your meals. The bed is super comfortable and the bathroom (my husband said the shower is excellent) is perfect with a double sink and soaking tub. My favorite part is the front porch with rocking chairs. Sitting out in the morning with coffee listening to all the birds and looking at the green rolling hills of VA is heaven on earth. The hosts are very helpful and communicate instantly. The little treats they provided on our arrival (cookies, fruit, coffee) was so thoughtful and appreciated. I promise that once you arrive you will not want to leave. Unfortunately we had to leave at the end of our stay but we're taking all the wonderful memories with us and hopefully will be back in the future. Sooner rather than later.

Nice stay in the heart of Little Washington, walkable to everything at the Inn and around town. Very easy to check in. Everything was clean and air conditioning worked great.

I was there with my two daughters celebrating the 50th birthday of my younger daughter. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The sitting area was beautiful with lovely decorations and even some games. The kitchen had complimentary snacks. There were slippers all over the house and bathrobe in the bathrooms. It was a short walk to the Inn, where we had our celebratory dinner! Parking was simple and there was a lovely swing outside All in all it was a perfect experience for all of us. The price was very reasonable I highly recommend this location!!!
