Cozy apartment at a family farm in South Iceland

A cozy new private apartment at a family farm in the South of Iceland. Great location for all the main sites in the region. Views of Eyjafjallajökull from the farm, 15 minutes from Seljalandsfoss, waterfall, and 25 minutes from Skógarfoss, waterfall. Only five minutes from the ring-road and 90 minutes from Reykjavík. The family has been running the farm for three generations, with horses, cows and sheep. The apartment consists of a living room, two bedrooms, bathroom and a small kitchen.

The studio apartments were built in 2024 – next to our existing cottages – and are comfortably designed to make you feel at home and enjoy the amazing nature that the south coast of Iceland has to offer. This cosy studio apartment is located at Hvolsvöllur. It is giving you a feeling of comfort, warmth and relaxation. You can rest after á day full of adventures and excitement. You have a kitchen with microwave, electronic cooker, waterboiler, toaster and coffeemachine. There is a table and bench outside where you can sit and have a cup of tea or coffee. Hvolsvöllur is a base camp for trips and adventure. You can fetch a bus to Þórsmörk or Landmannalaugar. HG-00018525

Old Post Office

The old post office is a very beautiful apartment that we furnished in 2023 with a beautiful view of the Outer Rangá. Hella is very well located in the south. It is a short drive to many beautiful places. It’s really fun to stay in Hella for a few days and take a day trip to all the main places in the south. It is no problem to see the northern lights on Hella and if you drive 5-10 minutes you get out of all the street lights and manage to enjoy them even more.

The Gilitrutt apartment

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. A lovely apartment next to many of the most famous attractions on Iceland such as Seljavallalaug, Skógafoss, Reynisfjara and much more. Only 25 minutes drive to Vík. The apartment is named after the hag Gilitrutt wich is a folktale about a hag that supposingly lived in the mountain behind the apartment. In the bedrooms are windows up high with a nice view of that mountain which name is Rauðafell.

This is a spacious apartment in the backyard of a working dairy farm. Here you can enjoy the quiet Icelandic countryside and maybe catch a glimpse of the northern lights from the balcony. The kitchen and living room have large windows from which you can enjoy a wonderful mountain view.
