Pachhwadoon House

This place is a gem. Saloni is a great host, she was always responsive and friendly. The place is beautiful, beautifully decorated and super clean. Saloni made sure we had everything we needed and provided some groceries for our stay. We also got to try some homemade Indian food. The garden was the cherry on top to this great stay. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for home away from home.

Review for Checkmate Resort, Mussoorie (Stay: 25–26 April 2025) Our stay at Checkmate Resort was delightful! I visited with my friends, and we all enjoyed the location, food, and the warm hospitality of the staff. Nestled amidst nature, the resort offers a peaceful escape with beautiful views and a relaxing vibe. The staff was cooperative and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The food served was fresh, tasty, and had that perfect homely touch — a highlight for us! A small suggestion for the host, Vinayak: while the current Airbnb listing features photos of the rooms with a mountain view, it would be great to also include pictures of the rooms facing the pine forest. This will help the guests choose the rooms based on the views. Overall, a great experience, and we’d definitely recommend Checkmate Resort to anyone looking for a scenic and peaceful getaway

The hosts are amazing! I was there for my partner’s birthday eve and Vasudha was kind enough to get a birthday cake arranged for me on a short notice. The property is well connected to landour and mall road is also at a walking distance. The pictures don’t do justice to the beauty of the view out of the balcony and the room itself looks like it is straight out of a Pinterest post just loved it.

A truly serene getaway! The property is exactly as described—remote, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful apple orchards. Be prepared for an adventure, as a 4x4 vehicle or a local taxi is needed for the last 10Km to reach near the property, followed by a short walk. A special mention to the caretaker, Mr. Gulab Singh, and his family, who made us feel right at home with their warmth and hospitality. Their home-cooked meals were excellent, and we truly felt cared for. The host, Mr. Aminder, was extremely responsive and proactive, sharing all necessary details well in advance, including nearby emergency contacts. His clear communication made our stay smooth and hassle-free. Highly recommended for those looking to disconnect and immerse themselves in nature!

The best BNB of dehradun. The property was really worth it and clean nicely handled by host and caretaker. specially caretaker Lakshman ji was really soo sweet and helped us alot, polite and calm nature guy.
