Guests have access to Mdumbi beach which is a 3 minute walk down the hill. Guests have access to activities offered by the backpackers such as massages, cultural tours, cave hikes and kayaks on the beautiful mdumbi river as well as a restaurant and coffee shop on site. Sweet Home Cottage

This space is a not so small two bedroomed cosy cottage, with two beds in each bedroom , a bathroom (shower & toilet) and an open plan TV - kitchenette room. There are two entrances to the bathroom, one from bedroom 1 and the other from bedroom 2. Both rooms have 2 three quarter beds each making a total of 4 beds. There's also a single folding bed to be used when need for a fifth bed is needed. The cottage is part of Sweet Home but has a separate entrance.

A round wooden table is set with decorative placemats and a small plant centerpiece. Large glass doors frame a view of the ocean and surrounding hills. Outdoor seating is visible on the deck, creating an inviting space for dining with natural light streaming in.

This Airbnb is absolutely stunning—so much better in person than the pictures suggest! The space is beautifully maintained, offering a cozy and peaceful atmosphere. The host is incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Though the road is slow going it was still fine for our tiny crap rental car. The rondavel was amazing, we loved the creative architecture, food was good, water is safe to drink, and it is really neat to see the community building this hostel is doing. We felt safe but there are random people who pester you when you are walking around outside the hostel and on the beach so I recommend locking up well!

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage a lot. Steve is a great host and made us feel at home right away. We also loved the breakfast, he provided. The views from this cottage are amazing and there's also a hammock for stargazing. I would come angain!
