Casa do Rio is 3.5 kilometers from the town of Porto de Cima, where there is market, restaurants and gas sales points. The city of Morretes, with more structure (hospital, pharmacy, restaurants, gas station) is 10 kilometers away. It is possible to hire transportation in the region for back and forth. Guests can eat in the local village and hire tour guides for expeditions to the peak of Marumbi, Salto dos Macacos and other beautiful places in the region, as well as a tour cycle, float-cross and train trips. The owners are not responsible for outsourced services such as transportation and tour guides. The only telephone operator that works in the region is Claro, and yet there is only a signal 200 meters from the property, in the direction of the township of Porto de Cima.
