Just 8 mins to Oquaga Creek State Park for hiking and swimming, 10 to Deposit for fly fishing, antiques, and other charming towns.

Little Elk Lake Cottage

This lakefront cottage is an ideal getaway, and the fishing is GREAT! Relax and take in the view of Little Elk Lake and surrounding farmland. You may also catch a glimpse or our resident bald eagle, blue herons or beavers! The lake is small (42 acres) so no motor boats are allowed, keeping it nice and quiet. Fishermen tout the wide-mouth bass, perch, grouper and more. There are so many ways to enjoy the outdoors--swim from the raft, lounge on the shore or enjoy the fire pit at night.

Canaan Country Cottage

This is a private, rustic and cozy vacation camp that has been partially modernized with an addition containing two bedrooms. The original part of the building still has that Adirondack camp feel; woodsy and camp-like, but very private. Secluded and also close to Hammond Hill State Forest with many miles of trails for mountain biking, hiking and xc-skiing. The cottage sleeps 4 to 6. We recently upgraded the internet with a fiber connection, and added a propane grill on the back deck.

Ski Resorts Close are available within an hour drive Located a few short miles from State Game Lands and abundant hunting. This is a working farm with horses, donkeys, goats, chickens and friendly roosters. The fireplace is only available from October 1st to end of May; this is a heat source and is not for ambiance.

Whether it be fishing, swimming, kayaking, hiking or relaxing by the campfire or water, there is something for everyone.

Unplugged (no WiFi) and peaceful. We provide breakfast foods. Unfortunately we cannot provide fresh breakfasts at this time, to keep our prices the same, with inflation. We hope to again in the future, if the current costs go down. A family built, tiny, timber frame. We are in a farming community, and several Amish farms dot our road.
