Awesome beach house. House was clean and very spacious. It is Inside a safe community with security and there is a local restaurant about a 10 minute walk away which you can order local food from which was delicious. Host was very helpful with any concerns and had great recommendations.

Fue una excelente experiencia en la casa, tuvimos ciertos problemas con el aire acondicionado y nos resolvieron en el mismo día, la piscina y la casa muy cuidada, incluye muchas cosas en la parte de la cocina y los baños, sin embargo como sugerencia nada más sería tener en cuenta poner sillas para broncearse, fuera de eso todo estuvo súper bien

Casa Baru is a beautiful home and a perfect location for accessing the beach and many great restaurants. When we walked in the door my kids said, “This looks like a celebrity’s house!”. The outdoor space is beautiful and serene and indoors is spacious and comfortable. Juan was super responsive to any questions we had and he had great local recommendations for restaurants. I highly recommend this beautiful home and Juan as a host!

Great location. About 30 minutes to the beach, 2 hr drive to the volcano. However it was closed due to it being active when we were there. Rescate Wildlife Rescue was a nice last minute add to our trip. Great place to see local wildlife.

Everything was great: the location, the house, the amenities; even the weather! Gary was an awesome host! Highly recommended!

Our family stayed for ten nights as a home base to explore the Pacific side of Costa Rica. The pool was fantastic! I especially enjoyed the bottom pool that doubles as hot tub (when my kids weren't in the upper half splashing the cold water into it). The pool is very large with lots of space for splashing, and there is so much wildlife and bird-watching off of the amazing porch and decks. We were mesmerized by the scarlet macaws that flew by and sometimes roosted nearby. Being in the mountains, you are literally in the clouds. It was other-worldly when they rolled in most afternoons. So cool! Indoors: we utilized the kitchen quite frequently, making dinner every night. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies for cooking. The living area was very comfortable and great for watching TV together in the evening. Bathrooms and bedrooms were well-appointed with what we needed, and the washer/dryer was great to have, as we are light packers and did get muddy some days. Overall a wonderful stay!

I mean where do I start… beautiful home I couldn’t pick a better place to spend my birthday if I come back to Costa Rica I will be coming back to this house Lara communicated perfectly and all her recommendations surpassed my expectations

Our stay here was amazing! Chris and Hollie were extremely responsive throughout our entire stay and provided great recommendations for local restaurants, activities, etc. We highly recommend a 4x4 if available for the drive and enjoyed the scenic views along the trip up the mountain. The house is perfectly designed with modern features and everything you need to ensure you feel right at home. The back porch was incredible for morning coffee and enjoying the views of the beach and jungle, while listening and seeing the wildlife surrounding us. We were extremely comfortable during our stay and enjoyed opening up the doors at night to let the cool ocean breeze pass through. What makes this place extra special is Chris and Hollie. We enjoyed getting to know more about them, the property, their vision for future projects, and you can see their genuine joy for hosting guests. They were readily available when asking questions and made sure we were comfortable. Thank you for a great trip!

Our family really enjoyed this home - especially seeing the monkeys, having great swings for our daughter to play on, and an amazing rooftop view!! When the pool pump was not working properly, Rafal was there very quickly to fix the timer and was very personable. When in this area, we would definitely stay here again.

This is the perfect place for us to stay after a long day of travel before needing to take the furry to the Nagoya Peninsula. We all slept better than we have in years. The beds were very comfortable, and the floors were very clean overall it was a great value for the money we paid. We definitely recommend for anybody passing through or looking for a place to stay away from the tourist areas..

Lovely place. As someone who used to live in Atenas I can’t imagine a better place to stay and experience it. Beautiful views, great pool and porch, big bedroom, hot water, and everything is spotless. Edward is a good guy and leaves you a paper with everything you need - contacts for taxis, restaurant recommendations, etc. He knows the area well anything you need just text him. It was a great stay! Lots of space, great view of the beach really enjoyed spending time with some friends here. There are a couple of restaurants a few minutes walk away and a bus stop to go into town. Great stay - would def recommend. Thanks for everything!

We stayed at the house for two days, It was very comfortable. We loved the open floor plan and it’s close to the airport.

We have enjoyed our stay at Chris’s place a lot. It truly felt like a home with lots of appliances and all was super tidy and clean. I will be staying here again for sure! Thank you Chris :)

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful casita! It was so cozy and the architecture is beautiful! Bedding was comfortable and the shower ( only outdoor showers available) had great water pressure and got hot, very hot. We stayed with pets and they were very comfortable here as well with the yard space. Monkey’s visited one morning and they were so close we sat and watched them eat limes off the trees. Magdalena was very helpful in getting us checked in early and leaving our baggage at the house prior to check in to help with our situation. Overall enjoyed the stay and hospitality of the hosts

Wonderful place! I plan on staying here again in the future. My only wish would be the family room had AC too because when there's no wind or it's raining it's very warm inside and the only place to cool off is the bedrooms. Honesty though the upstairs bedroom is so large that you could hang out up there.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the small pool—it was perfect for relaxing—and having a washer and dryer made things so convenient during our trip. We truly enjoyed our time here and felt right at home. Highly recommend!

This Airbnb is absolutely magical. The views are stunning and Victoria is such a gracious host. She and her husband went out of their way to make me feel at home and make sure I was getting full use of the amenities. Everything was so comfortable and thoughtful. And their property has some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen! Couldn’t recommend more!

We enjoyed our stay immensely. Vera left nothing undone or to chance. Regardless of your preferences, she has thought of it and has taken care of it right down to basil growing in the window. It is the best place to stay for your jumping off place to Latin America. She speaks English to help you get over the rough spots on your pigeon Spanish. The workout area is wonderful to get the muscles working again after a winter of little exercise. The location up the hill is cool and pleasant, close to the town of Atenas but also close to the jungle where a flock of toucans came flying through the trees close to the deck. The neighborhood is very safe. Yes, we would do it again if we got the chance but she gets booked early and often.

Perfect location for tranquility, being close to nature and having restaurants and things to do nearby. This beautiful home has everything to offer to enjoy the full Costa Rican experience. Davy was always responsive and accommodating. We came to Costa Rica for our son’s wedding and hosted a larger party to introduce the two families together. The host was kind enough to accommodate, and it went very well! The home is modern and right up to nature. We saw monkeys, various birds and amazing views of the jungle and ocean. One of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had!

Wir waren zu sechst im Haus von Felicitas und hatten eine wunderbare Zeit. Der Pool ist fantastisch und wurde besonders von unseren Kindern geliebt. Das Haus ist das letzte Haus vor dem Eingang zum Nationalpark. Wir haben vom Garten aus viele Tiere gesehen - darunter rote Aras, Brüllaffen, Skorpione, und die Kröten im Teich. Auf den Terrassen konnten wir sehr gut essen und abends sitzen. Ein Auto ist empfehlenswert, da wir dort keine Busse gesehen haben.
