Family-friendly vacation rentals in Puerto Escondido

Very good option if you come to Puerto Escondido and want a quiet and spacious place to stay. The place is exactly the same as the photos, the pool is very clean and very quiet. It is appreciated that there is air conditioning in the rooms. Juani responds as soon as possible about any questions or help. Recommended place.

10/10. Perfect location. 3 min walk to puerto Angelita! 3 min walk to puerto Carrizilillo (could be spelling that wrong lol). Great restaurants that are 5-6 min walk (on the Rincanada - could be spelling that wrong too lol). We stayed for 8 nights and would definitely stay again. The host, Isabel, was great and definitely went above and beyond… even taking us to the airport! We were traveling with our 2 year old son and it was beyond helpful. All the residents that we met were great. A real cool guy named Sam gave us a bunch of great recommendations and even took us to go check out some local spots. What a great experience - until next time…

My wife and I had a wonderful time in the Garden Suite. The location is perfect. It’s situated between Playa Principal and Playa Manzanillo, which is my favorite beach. There are stairs down to either beach, but it’s worth the effort. The on-site restaurant with their swimming pool is really nice. I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. The bed in Garden Suite is big and firm. The kitchen was a great place to cook and is screened-in so you can open doors and get a really lovely breeze throughout. Sibylle was a wonderful and attentive host with fantastic suggestions on what to do in the area. We would definitely stay again.

You just have to rent this Airbnb for the view alone, oh and the pool was awesome too. The apartment was very roomy, it had a good kitchen, and a big balcony. The only negatives are that it’s not especially walkable, so having a car is a good idea. Due to the awesome location below town overlooking the ocean, it was really hard to get a taxi or ride share. One helpful tip: there is a good local restaurant close to the Airbnb that you can walk to, they had the biggest and best margaritas and cheap. My wife and I would definitely recommend this place and we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful views, lovely hammock and pool areas to hang out in, great apartment, very central location. Super friendly hosts who made us feel at home.

Loved our stay at Nhis Be! Would totally come back and stay for any future visits to Puerto Escondido. The location is just up the hill from the most popular street in town. You’ll have and endless option of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and beach access. We utilized the rooftop, pool, gym, and our personal patio daily. The room was perfectly equipped with kitchen needs and a great size for two people. Could not recommend this spot more!

Had a great stay at Pat's place! The apartment was super big, clean and cozy, in the bedroom even air conditioning. If you don't feel like walking to the sea, you can just relax by the pool. Also, around the corner there were the best alambres we ate in Mexico. Small restaurants and supermarkets can be found right around the corner. If you don't feel like the hustle and bustle of la Punte, this is the place to be. I highly recommend the place!

hosts ben and yvette were very kind, welcoming, and helpful... felt like home. the accommodations were excellent…private, safe, quiet, stunning views, and convenient location. beds were comfortable and clean with nice AC for sleeping. pool was maintained and cleaned before arrival and while onsite. we had an amazing time!

We had a great time at Martina's. The house was beautiful and perfectly located. Communication worked out great and Martina was always available for questions. The internet worked well, we were able to work with several people at the same time. What could be improved: it would be good to have a lighter in the kitchen for the gas stove. It would be easier to calculate the price of the air conditioning directly through Airbnb. It was a bit cumbersome to pay in cash and there was also a miscommunication regarding the price.

Wonderful vacation. Amazing views. Can't say enough positive things about Katrin and her beautiful home. Very cozy place with open balconies, while appreciating the history of the building. If the nightly swim doesn't cool you off, the AC helps tremendously! We will definitely return to this location.

We were looking for a place that was quiet but close to the beach and restaurants. It was perfect. Two min walk to the beach. The place was bigger than the pictures made it look. The pool was great and one of the staff there brought us some delicious mangos one day. We would stay again.

We were welcomed with such kindness by our host! The house was beautiful and our family enjoyed the pool, the beach, shops, restaurants, all within walking distance. We couldn’t have asked for a better location especially for the surf! Our hosts were so attentive and helpful and we felt like they were friends done the moment we met! Thank you! We had a wonderful 3 nights in Omar's beautiful Airbnb, who is a very kind host and always concerned about our well-being! This airbnb is very clean, the kitchen well-equipped, the bedroom with 3 double beds is very large, air-conditioned and with very comfortable mattresses. There is another separate double bed with fans. The mural is very beautiful. My children loved the garden with trampoline and pool and its beautiful palm trees. This Airbnb is in a very good location, we did everything on foot! If we come back to Puerto Escondido, we'll come back here for sure!

This place is dreamy! Waking up next to the beach is incredible. The whole house is very big excellent for groups or a romantic get away. A little far from town but that’s part of the charm. Lonely beaches and long walks along the beach at sunset are highly recommended. We hired the chef and her cooking saved the trip! Definitely chose that option, it is definitely necessary. There’s no AC but lots of fans are available. Highly recommend this place.

I want to thank Julie and Mrs. Paty for all the attention, always on the slope, there were a couple of needs and they attended us immediately :-) The house is very nice, with mosquito nets on doors and windows, as well as air conditioning in each room. I loved the pool and they continually came to clean and filter the water. I would definitely come back.

We spent 10 wonderful days in La Punta. The house is equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed cooking ourselves and visiting the nearby restaurants. The house has a great location, it takes about 10 minutes to the beach and to the many restaurants. The view from the many terraces is beautiful. We celebrated Christmas and New Year's Eve there and really enjoyed our stay. Obed, the home manager and his wife were also exceptionally helpful and always available.

Comfortable home in a great location. The home was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen with all the necessary cooking utensils. A few things may be showing their age a bit but everything worked well. Would be an excellent home for a longer stays.

We recently stayed at Mark's place in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were truly amazed and intrigued by what he has been building. The experience of living and spending the night in an open house is absolutely unique and adventurous, offering a perfect blend of nature and comfort. Although Mark was not there during our stay, he was incredibly responsive and helpful, providing us with great recommendations for exploring the area. The housekeeping is managed by a lovely family who are available from 9-5 every day, ensuring the place is always in perfect condition. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to be back one day to experience this remarkable place again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable stay in Puerto Escondido!

Our stay at Monica’s apartment was exceptional! We stayed for 3 days for a special birthday celebration and from the moment we arrived we felt completely at home. Mary gave us a warm welcome and made sure we were settled in, she even left us some beers in the fridge which was so kind! She was always on hand throughout our stay if we needed anything, including advice on scooter rental and travel options. The apartment was gorgeous, squeaky clean and in a truly tranquil location away from the crowds of La Punta (but not too far if you want to pop in to party or go to some amazing restaurants!). We used the pool and the access to the beach which was always so quiet and it felt very special to be so close to the sea! At night you can hear the waves crashing from the apartment - what better way to fall asleep! I would 100% recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a calm and comfortable stay in the area!
