Filanthi’s place is amazing! The view from the first floor balcony is breathtaking, and we had all our breakfast and evening drinks there. In the house, everything you could possibly need in the there, and more - no need to raid the supermarket on your first day for find olive oil, vinegar, mustard, tomato sauce, herbs and condiments for the kitchen, or soap and shampoo, let alone cleaning products or mosquito repellents: it’s all there. There’s coffee, bread and jam from breakfast, and a lovely basket of fruit and biscuits awaiting you when you come in. What a welcome! We have been renting places for 20 years but have never seen such a well appointed house. Filanthi was a delightful host and even invited us to the local village fete, which was a great experience. Overall a fantastic holiday. As a family we could not recommend this house enough !

Irida House is clean, well equipped and with plenty of space for two people. What really sets the place apart is its location, with a balcony overlooking the tiny pebbly beach and turquoise water. Getting to the beach is a 30 m walk and a few steps. Anna was very patient and helpful when we couldn’t find the place, which would have been so easy if we had just followed her instructions in the ‘Getting inside’ section on the description, instead of the Airbnb map!

This place is everything you’re hoping it will be: beautiful, quiet location, a great home base for exploring East and West Mani, and stunning design and architecture. A note about the drive up from the main highway and parking : It’s my third time in the region and it was still terrifying but gets easier every time you do it. Make sure to pick up essential supplies, like drinking water, and nonessentials like coffee, before hunkering down your first night as the closest spot to pick these things up is 35 minutes away. One last note: I used to think I was the type of Airbnb guest that didn’t care to meet the host. But I must admit, after several stays in Greece with the host(s) meeting and affably welcoming us and sharing their enthusiasm for the region, I missed it this time. However, the neighbours here, Anna and Theodore, are now lifetime friends.

This property is located in a tiny village in a hilly region with great views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The host was responsive and communicative, and we had no difficulty finding the apartment (which occupies the upper level of a building; the people living on the ground floor were also quite helpful - especially in gaining access when we arrived). On entering, there seemed to be a slight dusty smell, perhaps because the apartment had not been occupied for a while, but it was all clean and we have no complaints about it. Most of the furniture and ornaments are thoughtfully chosen antiques. Guests will most likely need to bring some food with them, and should be aware that there they will need to climb a few steps from street level to the apartment.

Wir haben uns auf dem mit viel Geschmack und traditionell angelegten Grundstück sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Blick vom Balkon über die Olivenhaine hinunter zum Meer war immer wieder faszinierend. Die kleine Kneipe im Ort haben wir vier Mal besucht und uns bei George sehr wohl gefühlt. Volle Empfehlung 😊

Παραδοσιακή κατοικία με υπέροχη θέα στη θάλασσα και πάρα πολύ ήσυχη. Οι οικοδεσπότες ευγενικοί και φιλόξενοι. Προτείνεται! Η αναλογία αξίας και τιμής είναι πάρα πολύ καλή.
