Charming Rock 17th Village House Pool

The character of the house, the architecture as well as the interior decoration full of original antiques pieces carefully selected by the antique dealer owner has an absolutely unique handwriting and offers you an unforgettable aesthetic, original and romantic experience. Guests are welcome to use the owner's 12-meter-lap-pool, shared with his 3 other rentals, situated in his unique calm closed magic garden accessed within 20 meters from your front door by walking on the calm alley around the house. Outside just at the entrance of the apartment, there are a couple of chairs and a table in front of the main door, where it is possible to have breakfast or a drink, a chat with passing people or neighbours. From there you enter into the sitting-room with a cool stone floor and a fireplace, furnished with armchairs and table for a nice calm relaxing moment. The snug and stylish bathroom and the toilet are separated from each other and tucked away on either side of the passage that leads from the sitting-room to the kitchen. You find your own washing machine for clothes in the bathroom. The vaulted kitchen/dining-room at the other end of the passage is well-equipped and has a table with chairs. It opens onto a bright, covered patio, partly hewn out of the rock, with white-washed stone walls and numerous plants. Here you will find a dining table, as well as long masonry benches with comfortable cushions, where it is possible to stretch out to read or have a siesta. Two steps from the covered patio lead you down into the bedroom, equipped with twin-beds and an oak floor with underfloor heating. It will appeal to everyone who loves an aesthetically unique and novel experience. Parking: You can unload your baggage at the house and park you car free of charge a one minute's walk away on the convenient public parking of the village. Linen, Pool Towels: all included Information about Goult and the Area: At the heart of the « Triangle D’Or », Goult is an ideal base for exploring the many surrounding villages, as well as larger towns such as Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, all within 15mins to 1hr30mins' drive away. All amenities, restaurants, bar, coffee places, the famous 'Cafe de la poste', groceries, bakery, butcher, fromagerie, market on thursday with regional products, as well as a couple of little shops with local handmade art, regional products and antiques are all one-minute’s walk away to be explored. Walks up to the windmill, the castle, the church through the little peaceful winding streets of the village as well as gorgeous walks directly from the village into the beautiful nature, eg. natural terrasses, views, lavender fields and partly through light forests are highly recommended. Electronic bicycles are possible to be rented in Coustellet or Apt to discover the surrounding area. Additionally you can visit the owners 'Borie‘, an original habitation by the rural population of the region in the ancient times, where you can have your picnic. Picnic-blankets to sit on are lent by the owner for that occasion. The 'Borie‘ is a 5 mins walk away. Guests are welcome to use the owner’s 12-meter lap-pool, situated in the quiet and secluded magic adjoining owner's garden. This absolutely unique garden will offer you an exceptional memorable souvenir, welcoming you to use all amenities available such as 2 relaxing lay matts surrounded by trees to cover you with the necessary shadow, a daybed hidden in a vaulted corner by the pool as well as a rocking chair with a shower in another vaulted alcove by the pool. There are little terraces to be wandered around and a table with chairs to have your meal in that paradise. I live next-door, and are happy to answer your questions and offer suggestions if needed. Goult is known by locals as the "hidden village" of the Luberon, and is appreciated for its pleasant, authentic atmosphere. There are good restaurants in the village as well as the Café de la Poste which is popular with locals and tourists alike. You can unload your baggage at the house and park you car free of charge a one minute walk away on the convenient public parking of the village. GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR TRIP TO GOULT A 2 days stay at Goult is a minimum, ideal would be 4 days or more. Reservations at the restaurants in Goult and the Luberon are necessary. The restaurants are often fully booked 1 or 2 weeks ahead. Think of reserving ahead of time !!! For cooking at home, all my 3 apartments have well equipped kitchens. Coffee and tee are provided. This old cabin of our ancestors has been renovated and enlarged in respect of tradition and the charm of old stones. In the midst of fields and vineyards you will find rest and tranquility. It is 1.5 km from the village of Ménerbes classified as " one of the most beautiful villages in France". At the crossroads of the Luberon villages: Gordes, Roussillon, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Oppède...you will make wonderful discoveries. Every day, Provencal markets, exhibitions, walks to entertain you. Particular sites where to stroll like Isle sur Sorgues and its antique dealers, Fontaine de Vaucluse and the emergence of the Sorgues, Avignon, city of the Popes, Saint Remy de Provence and the villages of the Alpilles... House entirely reserved for the tranquility of 6 travelers. Thanks to its U-shaped architecture, each part reserves a certain independence for holidaymakers. Several dining spaces are available: Under the canine-covered trellis, in the shade of the large oak tree on the cut stone table, or in the dining room. You will have a large fully equipped main kitchen and a kitchenette/ linen with washing machine, dryer. Each room has a bathroom for more privacy. We live in Ménerbes ourselves and can provide you with all the necessary help in case of need. A mid-week visit is planned for the maintenance of the pool. Linens are included ( sheets, towels bathroom, swimming pool, kitchen linen...) Your arrival will be on Saturdays from 16:00 (4.00 PM) and departures on Saturdays until 10:00 (10.00 AM) maximum. Stone Cottage in the Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.
