We just left Cape Town and our stay at Gareth’s beautiful home overlooking the beach below. It was even better than the photos! We woke to an amazing view of the sun rise each morning! The beds are super comfy and the rooms bright and airy during the day. Such an incredible experience. We loved being south of downtown Cape Town with easier access to Boulders Beach and Cape of Good Hope. We could have enjoyed spending an entire week soaking it all in. We would recommend this home to anyone visiting. It was also super safe secluded on the hillside with a secure garage and gated pathway to the home and off the beaten path.

I am writing this review while we are still at the property. We have stayed in many AirBnB's, but never have we encountered a place as fascinating as Kloof House. Nestled into the trees, at the bottom of the mountains, is this haven of peace. Due to the way it is built we feel one with nature. The interior is thoughtfully dominated by wood and endless floor to ceiling glass, it is warm and intriguing. We constantly stop to gaze at the forest. It almost feels a bit like being part of Jurassic Park, just without the dinosaurs. Inside it is pure luxury, no expenses have been spared, top notch appliances and so generously stocked, incredibly beautiful and stylish furniture, insanely comfortable beds. The nature pool, large hot tub and braai area are a real treat. All of this coupled with the friendliness and immediate responsiveness of the hosts makes this getaway one we will never forget. A group of friends spent a long weekend at the Whale Huys which exceeded expectations. The setting on the mountainside directly above the sea is spectacular and each bedroom has a sea view. The owners have catered for every need. Even though it was winter we had very warm weather and were able to enjoy the heated pool and the hot tub. One could spend all day taking in the panoramic view over the sea and watching the whales in the bay. We received a warm welcome from Rene on arrival and felt at home right away. We hope to be back soon!

We LOVED the house and felt very comfortable there. It is very quite, safe, close to the beach and the house is just beautiful. Very tasteful interior design and everything needed was there. We would love to come back some time. Definitely recommendable!!!

Best place we have stayed in Scarborough. Very peacefull. Walking distance to the Hub. Stunning walking trail up the mountain behind (Baskloof trail). The beds are extremely comfortable. Braaipit so well positioned that we could braai every evening even with a strong south easterly wind. We will be back…

Fabulous place, location, and hosts. I highly recommend both. Kalk Bay is all charm. The apartment, top floor, has a wonderful view of the ocean and hills. Stunning. Easy secure walking into town. Lynne and Luiz are the best. The apartment is perfect in everyway: the bathtub overlooks the hills and with the sound of the ocean is all peace and comfort.

We had a wonderful stay with Marelize and Dawie! The hosts were friendly and very helpful. The unit was perfect, spacious and the fireplace was a big bonus for us. The location is absolutely perfect and ideal for anyone wanting to visit Franschhoek and all the surrounding wine farms. 100% would recommend!

Umso dankbarer sind wir für unseren großartigen Superhost, der uns in jeder Hinsicht unterstützt hat – sei es bei der schnellen Suche nach einem Arzt oder bei allen anderen Anliegen. Ihre Hilfsbereitschaft und Freundlichkeit haben uns wirklich berührt. Das Apartment selbst war wunderschön – geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und mit einem atemberaubenden Ausblick. Es hat uns in dieser schwierigen Zeit ein Stück Ruhe und Geborgenheit gegeben. Once again, we had a great time at Cara's beautiful place. It was pleasant and uncomplicated, and lovely treat.

What a amazing Airbnb experience with Tacha! She welcomed me and we immediately felt like old friends. She gave me a ton of great tips. The house is just amazing, beautiful decor, comfy bed and bedsheets, the view is amazing some days I could smell the sea water! You can walk everywhere or get a uber it always like 5$ for a 10-15 min drive. You should definitely book it 👍🏽

We had a wonderful time at La Mer flatlet. Beautiful views and good accommodation. It was cold and raining, but the inside fireplace was the place to be to watch the waves crashing over the rocks in front of the house. Will visit again. Good value for money.

My partner and I came to celebrate our anniversary and Valentine’s Day. Elfriede made our stay so special and we loved every single second of the time we spent there. Thank you so much, we can’t wait to come back again. Definitely become a new special place for us. Xx

The property is out of a dream, gorgeous views, watching sunrises from the pool area while having breakfast was the highlight of our stay, one of the best homes we’ve stayed in, it’s alittle far from town but they’re still quite alot you can do around the area, Debbie our host was such an Angel, always eager to assist when we needed anything although the house gets quite chilly in the evenings but there’s a fire place and heater to keep you warm, plus heated blankets. Overall had an amazing time

Allen's home on Clifton beach was perfect for our family of 7. Unbelievable views of the beach with amazing windows to view from most every room. I could have stayed there a year. Amos, the in-house keeper, was amazing at the household duties and we enjoyed seeing him around the property. We will be back and we will recommend this amazing place.

Wonderful place. Beautiful house, nice interior with a perfect location directly at the beach. We will definitely come back to this place in case we are back in Cape Town.

Wir verbrachten einen fantastischen Urlaub in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Der Garten mit der unglaublichen Vegetation ist ein Traum und wird von Tobias von Herzen gepflegt. Im und um das Haus hat es alles was man für die Ferien braucht und noch viel mehr. Sei es für einBarbecue oder ein gedeckter chilliger Sitzplatz, wenn es mal kurz regnet. Das Team von Martin ist sehr herzlich und erfüllt einem alle Wünsche. Wir freuen uns, wenn wir wieder einmal kommen dürfen.

Table Mountain Villa is so special - the house feels like a treehouse and is beautifully and thoughtfully laid out. The views of the city are sensational, sunrise through moonrise, with the mountains dramatically rising up on the other side. The house flows between spaces and feels both cozy and airy. It was our home base for adventuring all around Cape Town with our kids while also participating in a professional conference. The location was convenient and we felt well prepared with suggestions for food shops and hikes (out the back gate!) We absolutely loved the house and our time here, and the entire team was so welcoming and helpful. I hope we can make another visit. Thank you for sharing this special place.

This is a great house with an amazing view on the city, then you look behind you and see the Table Mountain. Great place to stay over a weekend or a longer place. Love the big couch and Bean Bag Chair.

This is a lovely house, perfect for our big family group. The views were spectacular, standing out on the balcony watching the sunrise was quite something. The house was well situated, a bit of a walk down to the town (and a more painful walk back up the hill!) Yvette was very responsive to a couple of teething niggles, which was helpful, as were her recommendations for local spots to visit.
