Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Preston County

Rebekah’s place was beautiful! A great location to relax and not too far from some good food/coffee and plenty of outdoor activities. She was very responsive and helpful - and we really enjoyed it

Great way to spend a few days winding down. The lake was close to the house. Our dogs enjoyed a morning swim and a nice long walk on the trails to dry off and release some energy.

Great response time. we had a few issues, host was quick to remedy. we enjoyed our stay. would stay again. there is a pool and food at the lodge I would highly recommend. when you arrive there is a security gate at the end of the community, you have to check in with them. they give you your pass and make sure you are supposed to be there. the guard also told us you can get access to go to the lodge or amenities without being a guest staying overnight.

Franks place was very nice and spacious with very inviting front and back porch. We were able to store our bikes and they didn’t get rained on. Strong pressure with shower, we didn’t take a bath. Kitchen appliances all worked well. 3 bedroom and nice room for a child. All bedrooms are upstairs with another step up and down for bedrooms in between so something to think of if you have mobility issues. 3 mile gravel road, with 1/4 driveway so a good 4 wheel drive is very helpful. Private and very country and hear the birds sing.

Jay’s cabin in the woods is an excellent place to stay if visiting the area. The cabin was super clean, peaceful, and stocked with everything we needed. We even saw that some games/kid friendly amenities were left for us making this the perfect stay for people of all ages. We appreciated how spacious it was and the extra linens provided ensured our comfort for our entire stay. We would highly recommend jays place and would be happy to stay again!

Beautiful home, resort grounds were quiet, clean and well maintained. Manager was responsive even in the evening. Very comfortable; good instructions, easy to follow. We had a great time.

A friend and I stayed one night while we were in town for a strongman competition. While it was difficult to find at night and in the rain, Marjorie’s instructions helped us to find it. Everything was as described, we were pleased with our stay.

It was a great location and stay! I enjoyed the views on the trip, which were full of farmland and cows! The place was clean and included many amenities that I appreciated. A local pizza place is around 10 minutes from the location, Home Slice Pizza. Highly recommend!

We spent an Easter weekend in Misty's place and we had wonderful time. The place is just perfect for a small family, we found there everything we needed to prepare our meals (seasonings, condiments, pots & pans etc.). The hut lies near a creek, so every morning we could hear the sound of water (so relaxing) and sat nearby to enjoy the beauty of nature. Misty allowed us to bring our 2 dogs and they loved the place as well. she prepared a small welcome basket with snacks for us and even our furry companion. I truly recommend this hut if you want to relax and escape for a city hassle. Very close to hiking spots.

The cabin and location are both excellent. It was so quiet and peaceful just sitting out by the river. Everything was as expected. The owners are so nice and thoughtful, and the communication was great. It is a cabin in a very small town, so things are slower paced. Our family loved it. We didn't have any issues with the internet, but our phone service was basically nonexistent at the cabin which wasn't a big deal for us. If you want to see deer, eagles, and watch the river go by then definitely book this cabin. We hope to stay here again when we are back in the area.

We had a great long weekend here. Great place for families and the cabin was great for our 2 little kids. They loved the bunk beds and all the outdoor activities. Kayla and Carmen are very helpful and responsive to any and all of my messages to them. Would definitely come back again!

This was second time staying in Millstone Cottage when visiting Alpine Lake. It’s a cozy place, located near Club House, and perfect for a couple. Did not use kayak as we did last trip due to unseasonably cool weather. Hiked the Overlook Trail, which goes up the hill behind cottage to Gazebo at top of old ski run for a great view of lake. We came away relaxed and refreshed, and that’s what a weekend retreat is all about.

Great property at a beautiful location. Hosts were responsive and kind. The house was beautiful and huge for our party of 10. The view of the lake was stunning and peaceful. Beds were comfortable, there was an abundance of linens and towels if any extra were needed. Well appointed coffee bar and lots of games. We would definitely stay again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 STARS! Absolutely incredible property! Completely private, the absolute most private property we've ever been to! We had such a wonderful experience ☺️ We started our mornings hiking at Ohiopyle State Park and Cooper's Rock State Forest with the joy to come home to a wonderful property! The fire pit, walkable land and disc golf made for an excellent time to wind down. We are nature junkies and this place cannot get any better! Our pups were able to run freely and have literally the best time of their lives! The birds chirping and cows mooing made our experience even better. We strive to own a place like this in the future! Cannot wait to return next time we're in the area! Just a side note, currently there is no microwave, plan accordingly ☺️
