Authentic traditional Welsh farm cottage c. 1700

karenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were 5 adults and an 11 year old staying for 3 nights. The cottage was beautiful - rustic with everything you need. Alice and Louise were very accommodating and friendly. There was a power cut when we arrived but they let us have use of the camper oven for our potatoes. The surroundings are really beautiful. Loads of wildlife, swimming and fishing in river. Great walks.....would definitely stay there again!

Award- winning hideaway in the hills

TimRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Staying at Cae’r Beili in April was magical. Meryl was friendly and warm as she introduced us to the beautiful converted barn. The air was full of the sounds of sheep and their lambs with easy viewing from the lovely glass-enclosed sunroom. Looking out across the Carmarthenshire hills is a soothing experience and we enjoyed a long walk through the fields to the waterfall and back. The accommodations worked very well for our family (two children and four adults, one with limited mobility). If you want to experience the heart of rural Wales I highly recommend coming to Cae'r Beili - you may experience a little "hiraeth" after you return home.

A huge shoutout to Alwena, our amazing host—so warm, welcoming, and genuinely one of the kindest people we’ve met. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and even offered us a late checkout, which we really appreciated. Her hospitality made the whole experience even more special. Highly recommend!

The Toad…Quirky train stay with wood fired hot tub

FlorenceRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed in the Toad for our 4 year anniversary of being boyfriend and girlfriend. When we arrived the Toad was beautifully presented and had its own little character and quirks which made it a fun place to stay! We loved the hot tub and the fire area. The area had plenty to explore, we visited Henrhyd Falls where my boyfriend proposed behind the falls! Pen Y Fan is a great challenge to climb and we did the loop route on the map. Brecon Mountain Railway made for a fantastic day out with the steam trains - staff very friendly. Big Pit Coal Mine was fascinating and the waterfall country walk was stunning! Our host was very helpful - we had a tesco delivery arrive and it went to the wrong place but our host sorted it for us. Highly recommend - do not hesitate to book - you will love staying here! Thank you for making our first trip to Wales and the next chapter in our relationship so magical! xx

Well located for day trips either into the mountains or visiting the local towns. The place itself was very comfortable, light, airy and spacious. Well didn’t get to sit outside by there were ample places to spend time or eat a meal outside in fine weather. Thank you Vera for a great stay!

Lundy Lodge Castle View

KateRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed during our visit to Hay Literary Festival again (about a 10 minute drive back into the town) - and if you're looking for a truly stunning landscape, this lovely chalet in the middle of nowhere will be bliss. The views were breathtaking, and it was very peaceful - a great location for walkers. It also had a hot tub which we didn't really expect to use as normally we find they are alot of hassle, but this one was so easy, very warm and very clean, with a glass of wine and gazing at the views and the end of a busy day - and simple to put the lid back on afterwards!

Quirky, Luxury Hideaway

BenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
🌟 5 Stars – A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Nature 🌟 Our stay at Badger Lodge was absolutely magical. Tucked away in a stunning private setting on a farm, surrounded by rolling hills and wildflower meadows, this beautiful lodge offers the perfect escape from the world. The peace, the views, the space – it was everything we were hoping for and more. The lodge itself is stylish, modern, and immaculately clean with lovely personal touches throughout. We especially loved the cosy indoor space with huge windows that brought the outside in, and the warm, inviting lighting at night that made it feel like a real retreat. The outdoor deck was a dream – perfect for morning coffees, evening meals, and soaking in the wood-fired hot tub under the stars. This stay was the reset we didn’t know we needed – calm, restorative, and so special. We can’t wait to return and will be recommending Badger Lodge to everyone we know. Thank you for an unforgettable stay! 💛🌿🦡

Tyn Y Pant Cottage - Great for large groups!

CharlotteRating, 5 stars1 week ago
If you're considering booking this property, then do it! We have had the best week staying here and I cannot rate it highly enough. The host was great at communicating before the trip and whilst we were there. Whenever we had a question, nothing was too much trouble. She contacted us to let us know we could check in a little bit earlier as the property was ready, and this was much appreciated. One of the biggest things we look for in an airbnb is cleanliness, and I have to say, the property was spotless. The kitchen had all the amenities you could want, and the house had lovely little touches for our toddler; toys, highchair, stair gate and bed guard. Whilst the weather wasn't great, there was a lovely sized garden, and our toddler was able to visit the horses behind the garden and feed them carrots. Everything was a very short drive away, and location was great. We enjoyed a dinner in the pub garden of the Ancient Briton. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

Old Salting Barn: Brecon Beacons Historic Cottage

JuliaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
What can I say - The Old Salting Barn was one of the most wonderful and dreamy Airbnbs I stayed in so far. Neil and Jim put so much love and detail into the cottage and there's a beautiful outside sitting area with chicken and doves passing by and some really cute pigs just around the corner. Neil and Jim are just lovely - really recommend to take a break of daily life and get s reset at this wonderful fairy tale place.

Aberdar Country Cottage and Cinema Cabin

MarianaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a fantastic week at Aberdar. The weather was amazing all week, so we spent our time outside enjoying the garden, orchard and stream, and sitting at the various seating areas to avoid the wind if it got too strong. We only made 3 trips away from Aberdar.. a stunning part of Wales and it was hard to put the camera down. A pleasure to drive on the pothole free roads and we hardly saw anyone apart from friendly farmers. Our anxious rescue dog was very happy enjoying the space and he was relaxed all week, as were we. Aberdar has it all.. very clean and homely, very well equipped with everything we needed, useful information file provided for guests, beautiful views and loved hearing the sheep, cows and stream. If you are tall, remember to duck when going through the doorways.. we kept forgetting! This was a very special trip for us and we will be returning!

Nannerth Ganol, artists retreat cottage

SusannaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We stayed at Nannerth Ganol for two nights starting on June 2nd, and it’s taken us a little while to write this review—not because we didn’t love it, but because we wanted to do it justice. Mike, the host, was absolutely fantastic—so welcoming, kind, and incredibly helpful with recommendations for places to see. The location is stunning and peaceful, the perfect place to relax and unwind. We felt more rested than we have in a long time and slept so well—everything was just perfect. We took the mountain road to Aberystwyth via Devil’s Bridge and returned through the breathtaking Elan Valley dams. The scenery was unforgettable and loads of red kites. We truly didn’t want to leave and are already planning our return. Next time, we will order one of your pizzas as we've heard they're brilliant and walk some of the routes you told us about. We’ll be recommending Nannerth Ganol to everyone and thank Mike for making it such a beautiful place to stay and being the perfect host.
