Walk to Leafy Parks in Montlake - with A/C

Rest a mug on the reclaimed wood coffee table and snuggle up on the comfy corner sofa in this prime city neighborhood, next to lively Capitol Hill. Here, crisp white decor, clean lines, and cool marble contrast with rustic bricks and hardwood floors. The apartment is in the brighter half of the lower level of our home, occupied by 2 adults and a 3 year-old toddler. Prior to booking, make sure that you are okay with occasional noise coming from the other side of the basement where our family room is located or upstairs in the main floor of the house. Our guests are able to access the entire unit, including private bedroom & bathroom, living room and use our driveway as free parking on premises, as long as they have a compact car that doesn't block the driveway of our neighbors. We are pretty flexible when it comes to guest interaction -- we communicate as little or as much as our guests like and feel comfortable. We respect guests from all cultural and religious background. We've invited guests for gatherings in our place in the past and they've all appreciated to socialize with us and our group of friends. The apartment is close to Montlake Blvd Market, and the University of Washington and the UW light rail station are just a short walk away. Some local cafes and restaurants, like Little Lago and Cafe Lago, are also within walking distance. There is free street parking in front of the house. Compact cars can park in the driveway in front of the apartment. UW light rail station is a 0.8 mile walk away via the Montlake play field park shortcut. The light rail brings you to downtown in 6 minutes (only 2 stations), the stadiums in 15 minutes (6 stops), and the SeaTac airport in 45 minutes (14 stations). If you are traveling on a budget, Uber/Lyft are great alternatives to get to close by neighborhoods like Capitol Hill, East Lake Union, Downtown, Bell Town, Queen Anne, or upscale University Village.

New Build Montlake Studio near University of Washington

Greet the day under a glorious rain shower in the mosaic- and tile-bedecked shower area. Back in the main living space, the many windows and vaulted ceilings ensure plenty of morning light. Privacy is also a given in this bright detached property. There are a lot of windows to bring in the light and sunshine. It is a spacious area with a modern look with all new construction and appliances. It is quiet with quick access to the main road. Extra twin air mattress and pack-n-play available upon request and for an additional $10 each. We are available via text or phone. Nestled in-between the Montlake cut and the Seattle Yacht Club, this studio is near many parks, including the Arboretum, Portage Bay, and Japanese Gardens. Many trails surround the neighborhood, with shops, cafes, and the university close too. Lime Bikes, Ride Share (Car2Go & ReachNow), local buses and the Light Rail are all available in the neighborhood. Uber/Lyft/Taxis are easily accessible.

Brian was an accommodating host and we enjoyed our week of stay at this space. It was conveniently located near a bus station that goes downtown and it’s in a very peaceful side of Seattle. We had everything we need in the space and it was helpful to also have the extra TV room for storing luggage. Bonus for having the company of Flash who will occasionally come down to be pet!

Elaine and David were very kind and helpful and it was a pleasure staying with them. The space is private and has a semi private entrance which was easy to find and check in. They were flexible with my timing and provided really helpful instructions. Street parking was easy to find and there’s lots of restaurants/places within walking distance. Recommend staying there!

We had a great stay at Kyaw’s place! Check in was seamless, the room and bathroom was very clean, and the shared study room was also clean. Kyaw was very responsive and nice, which made our stay that much better! The neighborhood is very walkable and peaceful as well, we walked to sunshine coffee through a walking trail and it was beautiful. Thank you again!

What a lovely stay in very homey accommodations. My room was very quiet and cozy. I loved all the books. The walk in closet was converted into a refreshment center with an electric kettle and small fridge, but still retained space as a closet. The location was very handy for me. I was visiting my son in the U District and he was only 7 blocks away. In between there are many cafes and restaurants. It was very walkable even in the rain. Definitely I would stay again.

Great place, great stay. Clean and comfortable. I loved the skylights in this room. Know that this is an older building, and there are several narrow flights of stairs to get up to the room. Not an issue for me, but if you’re traveling with lots of baggage or you need to avoid stairs, perhaps try one of the lower numbered rooms on lower floors instead. The location is about as close as you’re going to get to the Light Rail on Capitol Hill, makes getting in from airport back to downtown a breeze. I’d happily stay here again on my next visit!

From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Craig’s attention to detail truly stood out—the space was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly comfortable.
